  Hello everyone, I am learning how to use data bases at the moment and came on something that has caused headaches for me. It was enough that I post this to see what others thought out there on the issue, if it's even a problem at all.
  I'll try to be concise but as short as possible.
  
  Background:
  Installing Oracle 10g XE
  Created a new user with the database home page
  New user information:
  User: dan

  When I open CMD in vista OS and typed sqlplus application opened successfully.
  The user name and password have been entered, and I received the text below as being the answer.

  It turns out it was my password which held me back, with you, I created a new user / dan/dan p and it worked fine. The @ symbol is all I could put it down for, but not where at any time during the creation of the user he has complained about the use of @. But maybe I used the wrong system?   If this isn't a bug of sorts, then the error message was very confusing and misleading because I thought that I had set up correctly.

  Cause: Invalid Option was specified for the command.

  Action: Check the syntax of the command that you used for the correct options.
  Thus, the use of @ in the password is the culprit, I think.

• Problem with user accounts

  I'll put up three new Lenovo 3000 N200 laptop for three employees and have problems with user accounts in XP Pro. When I go into the initial Setup, I enter the name of the employee, and it is configured as a user account. When I start the laptop, she prays for before administrator password XP will start. Start XP, I am not able to change to a different user account, when I select Logoff on the start menu, I have one is not given an option to switch users. When I go to user accounts in Control Panel, I see the user account that was created, I can change the name & photo, but I can't delete it.   I think I solved my problem - on the user accounts page there is a link "change the way user accounts log on or off. When I clicked on it I got a message saying settings could not be changed due to a layout in offline mode. When I changed this setting, I was able to select the types of user switching, and my other user accounts became available.

• Impossible to logon to share the folder with "User must change password at the next logon" in Windows Server 2003

  I use Windows Server 2003 R2 SP2 as a file server.  I create new user 'A' in Windows Server 2003 as well with the option "user must change password at the next logon" selected and give way under the group users and users in the domain for this user.  I then share an output folder.  User 'A' is using Windows XP SP3 to connect to this shared folder.  However, when I try to connect, Windows reappear to enter user name and password.  I think it is the limitation in Windows that the user 'A' will be unable to change the password at the next logon or change password at any point in time at all.  Correct me if I heard wrong.

  If possible, can someone enlighten me what is wrong or what I need to do for user to access folder and change the password on the first logon.

  If what I described is not possible, is there another way for me to configure for the user to access share folder so that the user doesn't have to join domain or user of the AD?

• I have a problem with the password on the virtual machine.

  I am running windows 7 pro 32 bit, with a windows XP virtual to develop existing software.

  The hosts & VM connect to a file on the network server. The file server is running windows XP, the network is a simple working group. I've manually created a limited user on the file server with the same name and password as my logon to windows 7.

  Today, I changed my password to connect to windows 7, which I am not as often as the security people recommend that I do. I changed the password on the file server to synchronize and also the password on the virtual computer.

  The virtual machine is maintaining however, somewhere the old password, which crashes, and I get the logon screen. If I enter the new password it connects then. I went into the settings of the VPC and delete the credentials saved, without effect. I removed "enable on startup" of integration features, also without effect.

  So I get the password in the VPC, but then I have to enter the password to access the network share. Or I can enter the password each time I start the virtual machine. The second is less painful, but still annoying.

  Any thoughts?

I could see messages from them before, but they changed their address and on the site, they say people that they must put the new address on the approved list of the pop-up windows. I did but it still does not. Maybe I did wrong, I don't know, but it's annoying as hell that I can't see the messages they send.

• I have a problem with the password admin on XP/SPe

  When the computer that I use now was bought a few years ago for my husband, he created an administrator with a password account. He did not have a password reset disk that I can find (he died a few years ago) and its index for the password means nothing to me.   Unfortunately, the only way to change the password for the admin on a computer is with specialized programs that are generally not available. If someone you know IT, they are able to help you.

  Are you using another user account and just have not tried the admin account in the last couple years?

  As noted, for safety reasons it is not possible to make the session state values in an item of type password.

  Password values cannot be stored in the database, nor made in forms. Change the data model and the application to use salted hashes.

  I was hoping you had a strategy in place, it's basically restore the relational database of shared services from a backup, stop the epm services first.
  It is even possible to fix your LCM file and set the admin to the way it should be, but I do not know what state the commissioning is to thus could not guarantee it would work.

  Yes, unfortunately, this is a known bug in Acrobat X and XFA forms.  He is currently in the study...  If you are targeting Acrobat or Reader 9.1 or later (not 10.0 or later), and then it works fine.
