Problem with Windows XP takes a long time to start

Hello, I am running Windows xp3 House. I have a problem with my firewall loading Windows. It takes about 2 minutes to load and it is that nothing works (Avira antivirus, Lynksys wireless monitor, etc.) until it starts. Sometimes it loads immediately, and then it's not? Weird. In a search, I found this, http://support.microsoft.com/kb/823612 I ran it.

He stopped and not responding so I had to turn it off and restart it manually. When I did I got a pop up telling me to activate my Windows, 3 days to activate. I did nothing to mess with windows, it has been installed on my pc when I bought it used and I have no cd or manual as I assume that it is installed at the factory. I know not where the i386 file is and have never been able to actually identify because I'm familiar with it. If my pc becomes unusable because of that I won't be able to use it and I don't know what to do. I did a system restore and it did not work. How to activate Windows if I must / I have to? How can I stop it? I don't know what to do and I need help. Thank you

It is quite possible that all your problems are due to this dangerous program!

Of course, any software can have a phenomenon of chance but, I have been using Glary Utilities for years and have never had a single problem.

To the OP

Malwarebytes Anti - Malware Version 1.60.0080

I guess you use Malwarebytes as a scanner at the request since the version you list is obsolete. There are several malware that can cause false activation. My advice to you is first, make sure your computer is not infected. To do this you must first update Malwarebytes and run a full scan. Once that is completed and you have deleted everything which, on the contrary, that was detected you should do the same with SuperAntispyware. View your results.

On another note, by the unlikely chance, you have the professional version of Malwarebytes and SuperAntispyware know you can't run both at the same time by using the real-time protection. As long as you use one of them as an on-demand scanner, you're ok.

    This nonsense!
The system should boot up quickly my laptop needs 30 seconds to start.
In my opinion, the system is screwed

In your case, I recommend to reinstall the system.
Did you create the recovery disk?
If this isn't the case, I think that detailed instructions should be placed in the user's manual.

After the recovery of disk has been created, restore the system, BUT save the data before doing so because the recovery disk would be to format the HARD drive and you lose data!

After installing Measurement Studio 2009, I noticed that it takes a long time (30-60 seconds) to open a Visual Studio project.

I do not have an internet connection on my development computer and suspect he might be waiting on some kind of operation of the network to time out.  I had problems with Visual Studio in the past as well and had to work around them by adding entries to my hosts file (to redirect some addresses of Microsoft to the local IP address - this causes network operations to expire immediately).

Just curious if anyone has encountered this kind of slow startup time and found a solution.

    Thank you!

I found an article referring to a question similar to MS 8.1.  I don't know if the problem has simply not been corrected or why I am still having this problem.  Workaround "per computer" listed in the article solved my problem.

In the thread above, I was following the post on 30 August.  According to Option A, I completed step 5 for the uninstallation of McAfee Security.  At this time, my network card has stopped working.  On the recommendation of the officer, I posted to the Malwarebytes forum.  The officer determined Malwarebytes that I don't have a malicious software.  I ended up posting on forum McAfee to get my network card works again.  Then I reinstalled McAfee and start to run Windows Update.

I started with Option A, step 8 to reset Internet Explorer using http://support.microsoft.com/kb/923737.  The difficulty it has worked very well.

Then Option A, step 9 says reset Windows Update using http://support.microsoft.com/kb/971058.  When I ran the difficulty in default or aggressive mode, I got an error message saying: he cannot start wuauserv.  The message asks me to verify that the user has privileges to take this step.  Well, I checked through user accounts who am the only one user set up on this PC and I have administrator privileges.  Help me please run this difficulty or recommend another way to get Windows Update works again.

[1]... looks like you are saying that my system is so wet that a clean install is the (only?) way to go.

[2] if I do a clean install, not only what I need to reinstall Windows and all my applications, I also have to reinstall the drivers... Etc. ?

[3] I think I have the disks supplied with the PC system. Is it better to use than to use the recovery partitiion?

[4A]... is there a possibility that some of [my data are] infected?

[4] preventing me from simply infect the whole PC again?

A1. Yes, and it was my recommendation in August, too.

    A2. Yes.

A3. Only not really well using the restore Partition hidden to make the "destructive recovery" will include all drivers, etc., that have been installed at the factory.

    A4a. Yes, a real possibility.

A4b. You run at least three 3 tests on the backup data before restoring one (1) with your installed & updated up-to-date anti-virus application (for example, Microsoft Security Essentials) and two 2 with good reputation, free online scans (e.g., ESET;) Bit Defender; Kaspersky; HouseCall; (F - Secure).

If you have saved your data on CD/DVD, the disc scanner. If you have backed up your data to a flash drive, SD card, or another external drive AND KB971029 is installed, analyze the drive.

  • Reading takes a long time to start

Even though I have good requirements, I have always problems in execution of Adobe first Pro CS5. Rendered in the preview window (reading) takes long to start and hick-ups in video and audio is displayed. Jump to a point in the script takes awhile, sometimes 10 seconds.

    Project

My project contains four media (broadcasting sport event) MXF files, each long about a hour and 20 GB in size. I also imported certain components of an After Effect project. Videos audio files have already peak files, located in the same directory as the original files.

    Configuration

Since I thought that the current 4 GB of RAM was the bottleneck, yesterday I bought some extra RAM and have now 9 GB works fine. Here is my configuration of my Dell XPS 435MT:

    • Processor: Intel Core i7 920 (2.66 GHz, 8 MB cache, 4.8GT / sec)
    • RAM: 9216 MB (3072 MB (3 x 1024) memory DDR3 1067 MHz + 6144 MB (3 x 2048) 1333 MHz DDR3)
    • HDD: 750 GB Serial ATA (7200 RPM)
    • Screen: 21.5 inches S2209W Widescreen Trans European Black Value (1920 x 1080) - DVI - D
    • Graphics card: 512 MB ATI Radeon 4850 card graphics card
    • Audio: Audio Integrated HDA 7.1 Dolby Digital capability
    • OS: Windows 7 64-bit

First, preference Setup > memory is 6 for Adobe and 3 GB for other applications. First, the record was good, but after a few minutes, the beginning of a preview takes more time, once again. Sometimes after you quit and restart first, it's going well for a while.

When previews took a long time to start, I started to see performance data. I do not have any other big process, my CPU keeps exhausted and my RAM is fairly constant at 4 GB. So, which seems to be OK.

My hard drive might be a problem? I have a hard drive that is partitioned into two disks, where all programs are on C: and D: contains the project and all the video and audio files (a 60 GB of free space).

Another small thing I spotted is that stuff in After Effects are deposited Summit whenever I open the project. For a specific component on AE, I already count 48 files peak. Other video files don't are not in peak filed again. Is first a new file of the art for all the imported components, even if some components are intact? I don't think this is the cause, but it seems strange.

Are there other things to watch? Any help would be appreciated kindly.

Requirements minimum ages being a DEDICATED for the video player. Adobe is very hard to be quite vague on this subject and many complaints have been posted here, but Adobe foolhardedly continues by saying only what is needed to install the program, do not to use it. Common wisdom is at least two better but three different physical disks.

  • Windows 7 takes a long time to stop

I installed a Windows 7 Ultimate 64 - bit on one of my laptops about three months back. The laptop was brand new at the time. Everything went really smooth. But for the last week I am facing a problem, Windows takes an exceptionally long time to close. Whenever I try to close my laptop, the screen where it says that Windows is waiting for a program to stop with the option 'Force Shut Down'. The weird part is the place where it is supposed to show the program for which Windows expects in the end is empty. Absolutely no program is shown at any time. Even if I chose force closed, written with "Shut Down" screen comes up and the wheel will turn away and it takes about a minute to close. Sometimes, it takes as much as 5 to 8 minutes to stop. Previously he was not even a full 10 seconds to close.

My laptop is not obstructed by installed apps. Apps only I use is Eclipse, Android, Google Chrome, web browser emulator, VirtualBox to run a copy of Ubuntu and FlashGet to download from the internet.

All the drivers are installed correctly, as they ran all very well for the last three months. I have a paid Avast Anti-virus installed with paid Malware-bytes. I scan my laptop computer for viruses every two days and keep up-to-date. I keep my Windows updated through Windows Update. I have run the defragmentation of disk once a month. Even after that I encountered this problem, I ran a disk defragmentation. I also run CCleaner once a week. I have not yet installed any new apps until this problem appeared. I can't find something in maybe that could lead to this problem. The boot time for my laptop is really fast and normal. It feels sharp and fast while using it all the time. But the problem is whenever I try to turn it off.

    Computer laptop specifications:

    4 GB OF RAM

    HARD DRIVE 500 GB

    Processor Intel Core i3 3rd - Gen

Can anyone help me please with this problem? I'm frustrated by that.

  • Windows 7 takes a long time to load the desktop after login

    Hello

I am using windows 7 on my HP 530 laptop. My friend who installed and activated, but I think that it has installed the cracked version. After installation, it was really perfect. but after a while when I connected to the internet, some updates have been installed, and then when I logged in the windows, he invites me that you are using a pirated version or something like that (I don't know more actually). then I restored to my previous state and then everything was fine. After that I stopped the automatic updates, but these days my startup window is having a few problems. After entering the password, its taking a long time to load the office and its keep on the list "loading, please wait...". »

I'm so sick of that, also, I have to restart my laptop by pressing the power button, and after the reboot, it works fine. But I need someone to answerwhy its taking a long time to load the desktop...?

Also, please give me some advice to solve this problem, keep this idea in mind that my computer is virus free and got a good processor and RAM. I installed my windows in the C drive, and in my C drive only almost 2 GB of space is left (or almost). and there is no program running auto in msconfig, other than gtalk, Skype, etc.

I'll be really grateful if someone please give me the solution.

HP would have provided your preinstalled laptop with win, they would also have provided a way to recover your laptop to the specifications of the factory, either through discs of recovery or a hidden restore partition that you need to access in order to make recovery disks. How do you access a recovery partition is an option of HP, is not dealing with a MS - visit the HP website, specific to your model for more details on how.

If an illegal win7 version has been installed, or you have to buy version of win7 you need, or you need to recover your laptop provided that the factory provided, by doing so, you lose everything on the phone, if you have lost or that you can not do the restore cd and then telephone HP support they would usually provide records for a small fee.
