Problem with wireless network, Windows 8/8.1, Toshiba Sattelite L50-A-1EH
Hello MS.
I have problems with my wireless network card. At this point, I think it's maybe a defective hardware. Here's the problem:
I have an access point SSID which connects, but disconnect every 10-15 minutes. It is offline for a minute until it reconnects automatically or if it is disconnected and I have to reconnect manually it reconnects quickly.
The laptop is a Toshiba Sattelite L50-A-1EH. Network card: Atheros AR956x.
To resolve this problem, I tried the following:
- Install several drivers, Atheros themselves as well as the drivers of Toshiba for this specific model cell phone section.
- Install these drivers on Windows 8.1, downgraded to Windows 8 (maybe better driver support was my guess, still no luck)
- Tried driver versions: 0.0.75/0.0.263/0.0.270/0.0.287 (latest)
- Changed automatic IPv4 DHCP to static IP
- Modified profile profile manually created for this SSID wireless
In the event viewer Windows 8 under autoconfiguration service WLAN it says: autoconfiguration WLAN service cannot connect to a wireless network.
Reason for the failure: the pilot disconnected all combining.
The router is not the problem, I have several other devices connected to this point of access without any problems, or whatever.
At this point, I think it is a hardware on the Atheros AR956x card problem because I can not imagine that Toshiba would have a product on the market that is pre-installed with Windows 8.1 which does not work drivers.
Any thoughts? Very much appreciated.
Hello badr V.
Let me let you know that I finally managed to fix the problem.
I tried a lot of things, but what ended up working was the following:
Updated the BIOS with the latest version (1.6-> 1.7), decommissioning of 8.1 Windows of Windows 8 and installation of driver in charge of Windows 8. For me, it was 10.0.0.247 who continued to work throughout.
Thanks for the guide if.
Yours sincerely,

Windows 8 problem with wireless network adapter
I had a lot of trouble to stay connected to the internet with my college wireless network on
my laptop Windows 8. Especially when my computer is endearing to load a large number of data, the connection becomes limited and stops working. I use the resolution of problems and there's always the wireless adapter, which always solve the problem. This problem will not occur on the unsecured network comments from school or home. I tried many solutions to solve the problem, as going to tab the wireless one adapter power management uncheck allow the computer to turn off this device to save power. nothing has worked so far. Here are the details of the detection of the troubleshooter from the last time that this problem occurred:

Security problems of wireless network Windows Vista prevents connectivity
I recently bought a new wireless router and now my HP Compaq does not connect to the network. We discovered that this has to do with the security of the network. Y at - it a patch for Windows Vista fix the problems with the help of WPA/WPA2 Personal wireless security settings?
Hello Mike
The problem is most likely not with the OS, but with the wireless card you are using. I suggest that you first update the network adapter drivers. After that, make sure that you remove all the profiles of the system network. Then try to connect to the machine again. I hope this helps.

Problem with wireless - Vista Network and Sharing Center does not recognize my connection!
I use the Home Visa software and my network and sharing Center does not recognize my connection but I can access the internet without any problem. Previously, I was using a wireless router Linksys with an old box of AT & T internet with no problems. The problems started after I updated my AT & T internet box that made obsolete the linksys router and now the network share does not connect. I just have the problem of getting the network and sharing device recognizing that I am actually connected to a wireless network. I can't use my printer or share files with other people. I can't get my wireless printer to work if I restart my computer and I have the documents I want printed already sent to the printer. My network and sharing Center also works very well for a few seconds when I start my computer then it turns off again.

Problem with the network connection Wireless since installation of win 7.
I ve just installed Windows 7 last week and no problems until yesterday when all of a sudden my laptop can´t to connect to my wireless network... Strange because my Iphone can't, so it seems like there is no problem with the network.
And the funny part is that when it detects one network different, other than mine, it connects and works very well!I ve tried unplugging the laptop and Wi - Fi connection, but it just says that it can´t to connect to the network... He finds it, but when I click on connect it says only: No..
What to do?

Disable the DHCP broadcast flag: link: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx/kb/928233
Important: This section, method, or task contains steps that tell you how to modify the registry. However, serious problems can occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Therefore, make sure that you proceed with caution. For added protection, back up the registry before you edit it. Then you can restore the registry if a problem occurs. For more information about how to back up and restore the registry, click on the number below to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:
http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/322756
(How to back up and restore the registry in Windows)
Windows Vista cannot obtain an IP address from certain routers or some non-Microsoft DHCP servers
To resolve this issue, disable the DHCP BROADCAST flag in Windows Vista. To do this, follow these steps:
1. Click Start, type regedit in the search box, and then click regedit in the list programs.
If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type your password, or click on continue.
2. Locate and then click the following registry subkey:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Tcpip\Parameters\Interfaces\ {GUID}
3. in this registry path, click the (GUID) subkey that corresponds to the network adapter that is connected to the network.
4. on the Edit menu, point to new, and then click DWORD (32-bit) value.
5. in the new area #1, type DhcpConnEnableBcastFlagToggle and press ENTER.
6 right-click DhcpConnEnableBcastFlagToggle, then click on modify.
7. in the value data box, type 1 and then click OK.
8. close the registry editor.
By setting this registry key to 1, Windows Vista's trying to get an IP address using the BROADCAST flag in DHCP Discover packets. If that fails, he will try to obtain an IP address without using the BROADCAST flag in DHCP Discover packets.
Hope this information is useful.
Let me know if it worked.
Thank you, and in what concerns:

Satellite A300D-11 q issue with wireless network
Hello!
My Satellite A300D-11 q has a problem with wireless communication. It has all the necessary drivers for Win XP installed and connects to the wireless router properly. However, if Windows is hibernating or going on stand by, after waking up, the computer seems connected to the router but there is actually no internet and no matter what. It gets only OK after reboot. It's bad enough. Can anyone suggest how this can be corrected, if possible at all?
I use Satellite A300 with WXP and Win7 (dual boot) and I don t have these problems.
You can use combination of keys FN + F8 after stand-by mode to disable and enable the wireless network adapter check if the WIFI connection will be established?

E4200 w 2 - re1000 and still have problems with wireless coverage
I have a big enough House, 4500 square feet, and there a lot of bricks and stucko. I wired ethernet ports in most of the rooms.
For my Apple TV and tower PC, PS3, I used a wired connections.
But we have a lot of devices without wireless, 4 laptops and 3 iphones, 3 ipads so good wireless coverage is a must. I'm not looking for a budget solution, just the best solution that I can. I also have a wireless baby monitor and an ATT Wireless TV receiver. I have no end of problems with wireless on my devices.
Without a lot of research I boght a couple re1000 thought that would be the solution to my problem, but they don't really work as well as I would like. I wish I had done my research as I think that the right solution is to have the other AP in the connection from the House to a 'hand' AP via wired connection (connection wired bridge mode?). I could adjust only force and channel to maximize coverage for the House.
Here is what is a must:
One SSID in the House
Everything must be on the same network. I have a wired camera Foscam and use the features of the homegroup in windows.
Taking as a basis the e4200, what other should AP I buy to connect to the main via a wired connection?
I don't know how to close your home is to other houses, so I don't know if you might encounter interference from 2.4 ghz to your neighbors or other sources.
I see that WAP610 is not simultaneous... only selectable. iPhones are only 2.4 ghz
Whatever it is, you can keep the same SSID for your entire network, but you may need to use different wireless channels. Everything meets your criteria above.
The only unknown is your neighbors (and other sources) Wireless interference.
You can download inSSIDer, which will give you a better idea of what you're against, but it is not infallible.
