Problem writing series

Hi, I have problems with writing the series. If I run in the debug (peak performance) mode it seems to write OK, but once out of debugging, it only works once in a while or if I send something to my VI for him to read first.

No I don't think that's the right way. You try to read from the serial port and the same resourse you spend writing so if you don't have all the data to read you will get an error in the sequence of your serial port of Scripture will not work / by mistake. It must be checked if data are available on the serial port before reading.

This is just an example, I enclose you who can do better.

Good luck.

I want to communicate between cRIO-9073, and PC, the master will cRIO. Now am with VISAS for communication, my problem is when I write from PC and read in RIO I can do. But when I write of RIO and read from PC I could not able to read. No value is coming. I don't know what I'm missing. Maybe the difference in speed? Do I have to change baud rate? Now, I put to 9600 in the two.

    Can someone please help?

Am still not familiar with the serial port signals but I'm trying to help you. Just do a test: disconnect the cable from the RIO and just turned the numbers 2 and 3 of the serial port cable and run both at the same time code in the host. If you receive data properly, then the problem could be with the cable (right or pivot) option.

  • Satellite P10-304: the problem writing and erasing CD - RW discs

Some need help pls. I own a Toshiba satellite P10-304 with a combo player SD-R2412 installed. When I try to burn a new CD - RW, it does ok, but wouldn't allow no other written on the same CD in another session. The written CD - RW is then recognized as a CD-ROM. In addition, it is not possible to erase the cd - rw usinig this player. When I take the cd written for my laptop office of deletion, as it's done with success and my toshiba can then burn again. Any ideas on what to do?

Additional information: laptop computer came bundled with "drag n dro cd" but I had to install Roxio and even tried the cd writing software provided with windows XP are done everything to nothing. I checked the 'advanced system info-error log' and the report there is 'the device, \Device\CdRom0, has a bad block'; I don't know what that means.

    Cheers.

    Hello

In my opinion, it's probably caused by software. In my opinion, you should remove all burning software and verify all burning functions with windows option. After deleting some software, it can happen that, in the registry editor it is a lot of waste that will not be removed completely.

In any case, delete all the burning software, and you can also try to remove the device from Device Manager DVD. Restart the laptop and DVD should be detected and installed correctly. Try using the option of engraving of Windows and if there is still problem writing once again please.

  • I run windows xp on HP Pavilion 750, in the past, I have not had a problem writing to the pictures from my computer to a disc

I run windows xp on HP Pavilion 750, in the past, I have not had a problem writing to the photos from my computer on disc.

It now written up so I get a message cannot keep any body can help please.

    original title: problem writing Photos...

I'm sorry, but I don't have a solution for you.  You can check the Device Manager (start > run > devmgmt.msc > OK) to see if there are warnings next to your CD burner.  If there is a caution icon, double-click the entry and see what it says under "device status".

I don't know how you use picture & Fax Viewer to burn a CD.  The usual method, except if you have 3rd party CD burning software, is to use Windows Explorer.  This is what Windows XP Help & Support has to say on this topic:

To copy files and folders to a CD

    1. Insert a blank, writable CD into the CD burner.
    2. Open my computer.
    3. Click the files or folders to copy to the CD. To select multiple files, hold down the CTRL key while you click the files you want. Then, under file and folder tasks, click copy this file, copy this folder, or copy the selected items.

If the files are located in my pictures, under management of images, click copy to CD or copy all items to a CDand go to step 5.

    4. In the dialog box copy items , click the CD player record, and then click copy.
    5. In my computer, double-click the CD burner. Windows displays a temporary area where the files are held before they are copied to the CD. Verify that the files and folders you want to copy to the CD appear under files ready to be written on the CD.
    6. Under CD writing tasks, click write these files to CD. Windows displays the Assistant burn a CD. Follow the instructions in the wizard.

    Notes

    • To open my computer, click Startand then click my computer.
    • Do not copy more files to the CD that it will hold. Standard CD hold up to 650 megabytes (MB). Large capacity CD contain up to 850 MB.
    • Don't forget that you have enough disk space on your hard disk to store the temporary files that are created during the CD writing process. For a standard CD, Windows reserves up to 700 MB of available disk space. For a high-capacity CD, Windows reserves up to 1 gigabyte (GB) of the available free space.
    • After you copy files or folders to the CD, it is useful to view the CD to verify that the files are copied.
  • Problem writing in cache file

I get the error message "there was a problem writing to the cache file... beacause of an error of dick." The cache will now be replaced?

    What does that mean?

I hit ok and it goes away. Fortunaely stay of my labels.

"There was a problem writing to the cache file... beacause of an error of dick." The cache will now be replaced?

I think the exact words for the points you leave is the path of your user account and end with "stamp"?

If so this is caused by the preference you set for ' export automatically hides files when possible.

And it's not nice to say, but I'm glad that you have this problem because I started to think I was the only one in the world who had seen this message

If you go to the bridge preferences Cache section and uncheck this option, you will probably not see this message again. There is no cache files written in your records, but I saw no advantage in the fact of the bridge still needed a lot of time to read this cache file

  • Problem with string writing series

I'm using labview to send commands to a device using the serial port com1.  Using the example VI "Base series in reading and writing", I can communicate with my hardware very well, can write and can read.   the problem comes when I want to edit the VI by using my own string instead of the string provided in the example.  When I create a string constant with the exact text that was in the example string box, I can not write my material.

I don't understand why this wont work.  Is there something special about the example of the VI text 'string to write' box that I don't know?

    Help, please

    Thank you

I know what you mean and it does not work like that.  For some reason if I use a string with \r\n constant it still does not work.

Anyway, I solved the problem in a roundabout way.  The command I sent you is a word but both parties; first part, second part number.  I want to create a loop when the number changes.  I was able to do this by combining three channels, the first is a copy of the example string, the middle is my number converted to string, the third is a different copy of the string of examples.  Now it works and I can with my life

  • Writing series visa delays

    Hello

I use the LabVIEW Vi series to send commands to a DUT. I use the a Sparkfun USB to Serial converter cable for the interface, by connecting directly to the TX and RX pins of my DUT (an MCU). I am able to send and receive data without any problem or data corruption, it is really slow.

There are up to a 5 second delay between writing the message get written in series VI write and actually see me this post to the MCU. I have a scope attached to the TX/RX signals to see when this happens. Fortunately I do only 2 entries of 4 bytes, so there is only an additional 10 seconds of delay, but with it, wrapped in a teststand sequence, delays will be added through hundreds of iterations.

Anyone seen this before? Any ideas what I might be able to try?

    Thank you.
    Mark

Well, the post was premature. A co-worker pointed out my mistake.

I use 2 queues, one for reading, one for writing on the port series. The problem is that I use the VISA Read.vi timeout for reading queue loop and the Dequeue Element.vi for writing loop. By chance, I had configured the read timeout set to 10 s. Given that the serial port is the same VISA session, these are not truly independent of queue loops. the function Read series was blocking the write function of occurring for at least 10 seconds. Once playback Vi has expired, the writing was able to sneak in and get the message written.to the port.

  • reading and writing series sometimes works, sometimes expires

I use the series on the VIs VISA to acquire data through an instrument.  After you have configured the port, I have send the instrument the order "AZK" followed of a newline (string hex "2A 61 7A6B 0D").  This brings the instrument to trasmit data.  When I do this in Hyperterminal with the same port settings, it works every time when I repeat the command as quickly as I can without any problem.  When I start my VI in LabVIEW, sometimes it works and sometimes it isn't (work maybe 25% of the time).  When it works, the data are displayed in an indicator very quickly.  When it doesn't work, I get a timeout error (10 seconds).

I think the data string is ~ 330 bytes; Since I'm troubleshooting, I have it reduced to 20 bytes in order to ensure that the reading series is not waiting for more of bytes.  I also tried to extend the timeout, but it doesn't help.  Thinking this was maybe timing, sequence, or buffer related, I also tried to write and read in frames separated from one frame of the sequence and also tried an initial framework with clear VISA to clear the buffers before writing and reading, but none of this has helped.

Any ideas why this might work a while but not others?

I have attached a VI that I use to try to get this working.  (Note some data, the analysis of operations, as well as the VISA read a previous VI, but they have not been configured for this instrument of entry again and only the input string of reading indicator is significant at this time).

If I can't get this to work, my rescue is rule automatically the instrument on trasmit on a certain frequency (like 1 sec) and acquire these data.  I was able to do this successfully with another device series.  But I wanted to be able to have LabVIEW to control the timing of transmission data as this unit has this capability.

    Thanks for any help.

You can try adding a delay between characters like Hyperterminal does.

And please don't say that you use the continuous run button. That would be a mistake.

  • Problem writing DVD SD 6112

OK, my DVD burner in my notebook SA30-404
seems to be only able to write some
    really not expensive DVD-media brands.

Where can I find which DVD, it will burn at?
I've already bought two piles of 25 discs
for nothing, because they do not work...

Supported dvd-brands and media or types
aren't anywhere to be found in the documentation.
"use only dvd media supported by toshiba."
    YES THEN? WHERE ARE THEY?
Really stupid if you ask me.
Cost us a lot of energy and time and money wasted.

    Hi jult

Media supported by Toshiba are probably tested media and they should be available in writing without any problem. Check this http://www.tdk-europe.com/index.php?id=34&sa_from=56&WYSESSID=pecthjsutge5g7 hup5t99epib1.
I can really recommend to use.

You are not required to use the media. I use just the TDK media for a long time and I am very satisfied. Have two cell phones and two of them have no problem to burn DVDs at all.

    Good bye

  • Problem writing to SD cards

    Hi Dave,.

Just thought I would give you the good news. This morning, I got an answer from SanDisk. That's what they told me to do

"If the lock switch is not on lock:
    1. set the switch up and down. Repeat this 3 times.
2 let him stay on his position of locking for 30 seconds.
    3. slide the switch upward to unlock the card.
    4. try to transfer files in the device. »

I have no idea what it is (why three times, and why 30 seconds!)-it seems crazy that it's so simple - but it works! The card is no longer protected in writing, and I record the files on it.

I hope it helps someone else - I can't be the only one having this problem... can I?

Thank you for taking an interest.

  • Problem writing to the buffer of the device

    Hello

I have a problem with writing the values to an analogue output. You can see the following code.

So my problem is, when I call the function PostHolding (0.004), I put a few values in a table and the end of this function, I write the table in the buffer of the device to the analog output.

    The call is the following: DAQmxErrChk (DAQmxWriteAnalogF64 (taskHandle, (PostHoldingTime * sampling rate), 0, 10.0, DAQmx_Val_GroupByScanNumber, PostHoldingArray, NULL, NULL));

I checked the table and the number of values for each channel, and there is all right.

So now I come to the loop and the if clause (table a good values). With generatePatter(), I generate a pattern, it is a global. The return value shows me how many values are in the model. When I call now DAQmxErrChk (DAQmxWriteAnalogF64 (taskHandle, (newPointer-g_Pointer), 0, 10.0, DAQmx_Val_GroupByScanNumber, g_TotalPattern, NULL, NULL)); He should write my new model similarly in the buffer of the device. When I start the task I would see the first table in the PostHolding function, then the second table of the second function. And here is the problem that I always see the table from the PostHolding function, but not the second of the generatePattern(). I don't know where is the failure.

I have the same problem, when I call the function (green in the picture) PostHolding after calling generatePatter(). Here, I see the signal from the generatePatter() function but not the signal of the PostHolding function.

I hope someone can help me?

    Best regards

    Hello

Thank you for your response. I already found the failure. When you create a channel, you must say how many samples gets channels. I forgot to calculate additional examples to my first sample.

    DAQmxCfgSampClkTiming (taskHandle, "", DAQmx_Val_Rising, DAQmx_Val_FiniteSamps, SampleRate, samples);

    Best regards

  • Problem writing data analog and entry of informed

Hi, I created a labview program that acquires 3 analog inputs (2 current and 1 tension), encoder out of whack angle and 4 temporary sensors. The Analogue inputs record against lunatics of an engine angle, once the engine has reached the point dead high simulateously in a single file. In another temperature record since signals file they are a lower sampling rate. Both files at the same time record by using the structure of flat sequence to the duration of the pulse encoder TDC events. The program works well with simultaneous recording.

However, I believe that in the file of analog inputs, the current readings are by crank angle but channel voltage readings are not. There a lot of zeroes inbetween pressure readings as if DAQ is not intervene for the tension. I can't understand why my program does that because the analog all the readings are in the same time of the sample and analog read the task.

I tried a program separate labview using only express DAQ and have the same 3 channels and saves the data in a file of lvm - it works even at the same pace. I do not wish to use Express functions in my program since fast flow and writing, he will miss values due to the explicit functions opening and closing of files (explicit writable) and creating the same physical channel (in daq express).

    Please can someone help?

I have attached my program and a sample file entry.

    Thank you very much

    Notay

I think your problem is that you are indexing column 2 for voltage instead of rank 2. That's why you have only three elements in this table in the cluster.

  • VI to measure FRF having a problem writing data

    Respected Sir / Mam,.

I created a Vi to measure the signal in the modal analysis. The Vi is to give a very good signal, but the problem is in the writing of the data. The number of samples is given as 10K and rate is 100 k, but only 5 k datas, it writes to the file. The signals are good, but the registration of data is the problem. I have attached the VI. Your first answer will be very useful for my future work.

    thanking you

    RAM

In fact, there is nothing wrong. You collect 10 k of temporal data. Spectral analysis that you perform it becomes 5 k of data in the frequency domain. It seems that everything is as it should be.

Unless you use a third-party DVD authoring program you can not burn a DVD of any kind using Windows XP burning capability.  It will be the author only CD.  By buying the new DVD player you should have received a disk with a certain type of DVD software of engraving.  Make sure that you use it to create your data DVD.
