So I downloaded applications for BlackBerry World. I turned off the phone during the night and when I turned on this morning it was like new. There are no applications in there.     I'm not 100% sure that this applies to you. The symptoms don't exactly match your description. But see http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/KB36747 and check your operating system against the versions indicated in the article. If your OS is one of those affected, discover the related utility. I don't know if there is a readme file when you unpack the zip file. If it is read everything first.

    With a strong carrier network (for example, not only WiFi), I suggest the following steps, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (step 1 should translate a message from your BB... Please wait just before moving on to the next step):

    1) register HRT

    • KB00510 How to register a BlackBerry smartphone with wireless network
    • Please wait message "registration" happen

    2) restart

    • Pre-BB10 ONLY devices. With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes.
    • Peripheral BB10. Hold the top button until the counter reaches zero. Wait for the unit to be completely stopped (for example, nothing appears on the screen, no lights, etc.). Hold the top button until the red light. Wait through the entire boot process. IF this fails, you can try the method of battery-pull above, but it is normally NOT recommended unless nothing else works.
    • See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

    There is no option for the reception of e-mail 'timed' on the BB.

    However, you can disable data services until you are ready to receive them in a group

    Options - mobile - off network data services.

    So it's working now and as you suggested, I called Telusand, they "pushed" the SIM card and refreshed the switch 'in the back.  Have no idea what an of these involves shares the essential element is that it now works.

  • Strange problem Z10 blackBerry using the BBM on WiFi service

    Hi all

    I have a strange problem. I have an unlocked Fido Fido phone and I am trying to use it on a different sim card. I am able to connect to internet and BBM surveys with all well data services plan. I call everything works fine.

    When I connect it to Wifi I can surf the web everyting except BBM! Without the sim card BBM works very well in wifi. The minute I have not given the SIM no BBM!

    What is going on

    This problem is now resolved. For the record it's because of my new carrier does not accept my unlocked phone Bell Inc., did not accept it so I tested with Tellus at the Canada and T-Mobile in the USA it works perfect...

    Still don't know what is 3G has to do with Wifi anythong but it was solved by switching to Tellus

    In general, there is (if I remember) possible two causes:

    (1) you're on BES, and something is wrong with the configuration. Resolution - request assistance from your BES admins.

    (2) you have set up the desktop redirector, but also be on BIS or BES. Resolution – choose one method of delivery E-mail OTA to your BB and delete the other.

I'm now trying to get my work email, e-mail settings were transferred through in restoring and I can receive emails, but I can't send them? When I try to send an email I press the blackberry key and then send it just brings back me to the e-mail page without giving any type of error and it does not send the email. I was in the advanced settings menu and the fom the looks of things, that it is set up with the correct mail server etc all this worked on my 8800 and was fairly easy to set up but this time it simply doesn't! My webmail client is called Horde and I'm on 02 in the United Kingdom. I have the 9700 smartphone v5.0.0.421 running the 5.1.0.116 platform can anyone help because it is a real problem for me?

    Not with contacts app that comes with the phone, but you can find some of the 3rd party applications in BlackBerry World can do what you want.
