The VM che girano sull'host ESXI, tra loro if "pingano senza problemi", my al di fuori di quella Association if non riesce a nulla pingare, is the host No.

Preciso che comunque ho usato solo IP statici e che Unico IP a disposizione mia lo assegnero al Security server pubblico in modo da wear access alla mia infrastruttura dalla rete internet.

Come posso risolvere questi problemi di ping?

DELL'ATTENZIONE GRAZIE A TUTTI!

Saverio.

By the cronaca... the bridge di Workstation mode su Linux non e di interfaccia a che Bridge allows it promiscous.

E quindi "dietro" ESXi virtuale sono macchine isolate.

  • Problem with ping VPN cisco 877

    Hi all!

I have a working VPN between a fortigate and a Cisco.

I have a problem with ping network behind the cisco of the network behind the forti.

When I ping to vlan2 cisco without problem (192.168.252.1) interface, but I can't ping a server in the vlan2 (192.168.252.2) behind the cisco.

However the Cisco I can ping the server. In the forti, I see that ping to the interface vlan2 and server in vlan2 take in the same way, and I can see package.

I post my config could see it it as blocking the ping from 10.41.2.36 to 192.168.252.2 while 192.168.252.1 ping is OK?

    Alex,

    It's your GRE tunnel:

    interface Tunnel0
    IP 2.2.2.1 255.255.255.252
    source of Dialer0 tunnel
    destination of IP_forti tunnel
    myvpn card crypto

You also have routing set by it.

You don't need a GRE tunnel, nor do you need the road to tunnel if you want just IPsec tunnel.

  • Problem with ping

I have this weird problem with ping and I think it's related to virtual switching equipment.

I'll try to explain it as simple as possible.

This specific (10.2.0.154), I can not ping ip address of all my customers who are running on the same host.

In fact, I can't ping the IP address of the host itself.

As far as I know that I have no problem to reach this IP address from any other machine. I tested at least 10 other machines, and among them were a few virtual servers.

Everything is on the same network 10.2.x.x/16 no routing, filtering of packets, vlanning, or everything that is done.

On the host: It's a HP proliant DL360G5 running vmware server 1.05 on windows 2003. It uses its two internal nic teamwork mode (link 2GB) to connect to a pair of 3Com3870 with a stacking cable gigabit switches.

On clients: They are a mixture of Windows 2003, XP, and linux machines. They all connect to the network using bridged networks. Most of them have the vmware tools installed and works perfectly for whatever the need to do.

On 10.2.0.154: It is a time recoding terminal (Kaba bensing 9320) I have several of them and they all have ping all right one on the host or guest.

I tried to move the comments to connect to 10.2.0.154 for an ESXi4 server. This has solved the problem with ping, but gave rise to a more serious connection problem. While the ping works the timing couldn't software to connect to one of the terminals. This looks like another vSwitch problem, but now with the ESXi4 server software.

I tried also to add static entry arp to the guest who must connect to 10.2.0.154, but this did not help.

    I'm confused, HELP?  :|

PS. added a vnetsniffer newspaper. (FYI 10.2.0.154 does not work, 10.2.0.153 is the same type of terminal and works very well)

I would simplify everything first and remove one of the two wires in your network adapters on your host win2003 and see if the problem goes away.

  • Problem SOLVED [ping SPIKE]! (if you have ping spikes, it is probably the answer)

    Hey all,.

If you have a ping spike/temporarily stopped in connection with your wireless adapter, this is probably the solution for you!

You can read my story here of my previous thread about my problems and solutions I've tried along the way.

    http://forums.linksysbycisco.com/Linksys/board/message?board.ID=Wireless_Adapters&thread.ID=22612

I have not yet official Linksys promised support they'd contact me and have not found a solution here in the forums I took matters a little further and did the research myself to fix this problem.

See my response below direcly for the solution.

So, the problem is mostly with people with linksys adapters and vista 64 (could also affect other OS, but found 64 a lot more when searching).

    1. If you have 64 bit vista drivers, first download drivers 64 bit XP linksys for your card, then uninstall your current drivers completely removing them (via Device Manager) and all managers of linksys (via Control Panel > functions of the program)

    2. restart your computer.

    3. install 64-bit XP via Device Manager drivers > network card (should have an exclaimation mark next to him now) > update driver (then point on where the driver XP 64 is, to ENSURE that it has no. OTHER DRIVERS in THE SAME FOLDER! so after you download linksys files, DELETE ALL FILES BUT THE XP 64 bit ones.)

    4. connect to your wireless router, then go to start menu > type cmd (open in administrator mode) > type [command netsh wlan set autoconfig enabled = no interface = "Wireless network connection"] (without the square brackets []), replace with all wireless network connection this as your network connection, your computer connects to.  You can check that you are connected by going here... Control Panel > network and sharing Center > manage network connections

Now you should have no problems with your connection, as well as ping spikes, check that it works by going to your command-line typing ping 192.168.1.1 - n 100

change the 192.168.1.1 to all what your router address, at the end of the audit, there was no spikes high and everything works!

Here is the part the shit, every time that you start your computer again or lose the connection with the wireless signal, you must re-enable the automatic configuration service in the cmd prompt, command netsh wlan set autoconfig enabled = yes interface = "wireless network connection".

And once you have connected to your router, you should disable this auto config connection.

I don't know how it will work on any other OS, but I guess it will be a similar solution (unless this question is strictly caused by 64-bit)

Now, seeing as how my other wireless adapters do not have this problem, I think that there is a problem with linksys and their drivers for these affected products. It of a gene to do these things, but I guess that's how things will work up to linksys sees this post and if everything goes well he corrected with a new driver update :-D

Feel free to post your success stories here! I will accept responses and congratulations in lieu of payment :-D

And if a moderator can sticky, I think this will help a lot of people because I noticed a number on these forums with this problem.

  • VPN you have problem with ping to a server after you configure a NAT

My VPN worked very well until the Exchange Server client has added and changed my setup.

Once the customer added the Exchange Server and edited my setup, my VPN you problem.

I've corrected some but there's always a them that I can not ping to exchange the local ip address of the server (192.168.1.2).

One thing I notice, is that I can ping this IP 192.168.1.2 if I remove ' ip nat inside source static 192.168.1.2 extensible 116.xx.xx.xx.

Someone please check the configuration below and advise me.

I would be very appreciate any kind of suggestion.

    Hello

NATting is done before the encryption.

So if you want to access the server via its private IP address you must make sure you exclude the traffic to and from users VPN to be translated (route-map on the instruction of NAT is a typical way).

Otherwise move to DVTI database solution that should not be affected by this problem.

  • Problem with ping the client Host.

So, I have 6 people running on my host.  They are all seen assigned manually the IP addresses from 192.168.99.150 through 192.168.99.155.

My host has an IP address of 192.168.99.100.

My host is only one PC connected to the switch and the switch is not connected to any link (internet) download.

I have configured my guests for light connection so they can directly connected on the hardware switch.

This is the question that I have now, when I ping my IP of the host's comments, it shows about 1ms response time.

but when I ping my IP from the host of one of the guest, it shows demand exceeded.

Can someone give me a solution for this problem?

    Thank you.

OK, so I have re installed all the guests with the new hardware configuration of work station 11, now everything works perfectly.

Maybe something has not been configured correctly the last time where I had the problem.

  • Problems with ping and 56 k modem about half current speed.

    I have a few questions.

    I've switched & my internal modem says it's 56 k. I know that I won't get a full 56 k, but I'm only running at about 26 k. Why what can I do about it?

Additionally, every time that I ping ALL websight, it always comes back with: request timed out, 0 packets received, 4 lost packets, 4 packets sent, 100% loss. I can't understand it and I hope someone can explain to me why and how to fix it. I'm NOT "computer illiterate"!

    Help, please!  Thank you

    Here's what I'm running:

System: Intel (r) Pentium (r) D CPU 3.00 GHz 2.99 GHz (dual processor);   1.00 GB of RAM, 32-bit operating system.   223 GB int hard drive. & 298 GB ext HDD.

Operating system: Windows Vista Ultimate sp2

Browsers: ie9 and mozilla firefox 4

Modem: PCI Soft Data Fax Modem with SmartCP

    Hi desandjol,

    1. are you able to ping the loopback adapter (that is to say-ping 127.0.0.1)?

You must contact the ISP to find out why you can't ping websites.

You can also check with the manufacturer of the modem if no firmware update is available. It is available even download and check.

    Hope this information is useful.

  • Network problems, cannot ping my mac

I run Fusion 7.1.1 and 14.04 Ubuntu Server on my imac 10.10.3 for web development.

I have a bolt of lightning promise connected to the mac and mounted it on my ubuntu via smb, everything worked fine.

So I decided to leave my college surf on my ubuntu, so I set up a local dns server on a server running the same configuration in the office and I changed the fusion network settings to detect automatically so that my ubuntu has got a 10.0.1.x - address, we have an Airport extreme.

Somewhere here I lost connection to my hard drive.

If I ssh to my ubuntu, or any other computer on the network and the ping 10.0.1.2 (my imac) I get timeout. I can ping 10.0.1.2 from my mac.

ifconfig - a on my imac gives at the end:

    VMnet1: flags = 8863 < UP, BROADCAST, SMART, RUNNING, SIMPLEX, MULTICAST > mtu 1500

    ether 00:50:56:c0:00:01

    INET 172.16.20.1 netmask 0xffffff00 broadcast 172.16.20.255

    VMnet8: flags = 8863 < UP, BROADCAST, SMART, RUNNING, SIMPLEX, MULTICAST > mtu 1500

    ether 00:50:56:c0:00:08

    INET 192.168.36.1 netmask 0xffffff00 broadcast 192.168.36.255

My guess is that I'm not on the dissemination of the right and these two are to mess up something.

I followed a tutorial on how to get my ubuntu on 10.0.1.x - network before realizing that I had to do it in vmware, so I could have done something, but I think I have everything reset.

There are stranger things with my computer, the Facebook popup is really slow and dropbox sync, indicating that they expect a waiting period before you get on the web?

He had nothing to do with vmware to do, I had also installed a vpn client who had a firewall that I never knew.

  • Help to "problem"-WRT54G, Linux, Unix and Windows ".

I have a Linksys WRT54G rev 6, firmware version v8.00.7 011, July 27, 2009.  My ADSL modem is a modem DSL from Westell G90-610014-20 revD.  My home network is 'predominantly' Windows wireless clients and a wireless printer, who don't have no problems or issues between them.  These 2 PC can see each other, share files, print, see internet, etc.  My PDA Smart Phone connect wireless... the grand-kids PSP jumps in full and they are all happy.

Then, a few steps in my box... Multi-boot with Win7 Pro 64-bit, Windows Vista Home Premium 64-bit, Ubuntu 10.04 LTS Desktop Edition 64-bit, OpenSolaris 2010.03 snv_134 and some other OS' are.  It is connected to the #2 router's ethernet port.  This PC connects to the internet very well with all OS' are.  When I start to the top of any OS "Windows" on the subject, I can see the entire network, connect, fileshare, printing, etc. Life is beautiful...

When this PC is displayed under Ubuntu, OpenSolaris or Solaris - I have internet and I can print.  I can see 'only' the router, modem and printer (and not the other PC) I can ping the router, printer and modem (not the other PC through services called) or intellectual property.  I can not connect, fileshare, etc..  In these OS' are I Samba, CIFS, Wins, etc. installed.  My windows clients cannot see my PC either, BUT I can ping and mount the fileshares to this PC via the IP (not via the designated services. If I boot one of this Windows Linux clients, this PC can see my PC with the IP address and name services.  Linux to linux, he'll see, connect, share.  I had 'other recheck my config on Samba, CIFS and wins... and nobody can find any problems there.

I see 'all' clients in the Client DHCP of the router table.  The router is dynamically assign addresses without any conflicts.  The router I ping the Linux/Unix/Windows (my) box.  It cannot ping my windows wireless clients.  All "client" devices have DHCP enabled with autoconfig.

At first I thought I had a double NAT courses so I filled the modem and the reconfig'ed my router to the router to the modem of the equation.  (Now just a stupid modem.)  Time of Internet connection are now vantastic... improved my time to download updates and upgrades and network load is down... BUT, the same problems/no change.

I turned "logging" the router, but as of yet, I have not found where those who connect so I can revisit!  I wonder if I have something to do between the wire &... but that "should" be transparent shouldn't it?  I don't know if "everything that he must have spent, or if something is filtering or stop"it "(?)"  I'm really running out of ideas on what to check, test, change... on what "might" happen.

    Help!

Thank you... 'All' went through on my desktop and my network and I was doing the wrong assumptions.  The last PC for installation on this network was my office, so I assumed that it connect to my laptop, it was a problem with the desktop computer.

What I've discovered, is that it "is" the problem of the laptop (on the contrary), somewhere in the services of the Windows Vista Home Premium network or settings, device drivers, etc..  "Is not" (or at least now) a router or hardware problem.

He kept bothers me, I couldn't ping my laptop from my PC, or my router.  I had no access to customers 'other' Windows until late last night, when I found that 'they' have connection problems and ping the laptop too!  I guess...

I started this laptop on a Ubuntu 10.10 Desktop Edition LiveCD - and then could ping to it to both my desktop PC and my router, configuration this laptop in wireless (same device) and connect to the same wireless network.  Sort, which confirms that this is not a hardware problem on the laptop.  It confirms that it is not a router or network problem.  It narrows down my path to how 'Vista' networking services, device drivers, settings, etc. from Vista. The hunt continues, but this thread is "finished".  The problem lies elsewhere...

  • ASA 5540 - cannot ping inside the interface

Hi all. We have recently upgraded PIX to ASA5540 and we saw a strange thing going. In a Word, we can ping the inside interface of the ASA from any beach on our 6500 network (which is connected directly behind the ASA on the inside), but one where our monitoring tools are placed. Inside there is an ACL that allows all of our core networks, but it does not help that the interface is really strange.

In the ASDM, I see messages like this:

ID ICMP echo request: 2004 x.x.x.x y.y.y.y on the inside interface to. I don't think that's the problem, but I could be wrong.

This is also the configuration of the interface VLAN VIRTUAL local area network from which we cannot ping inside the interface we can ping to and since this VLAN and machines without problem. The only problem is ping the inside interface of the ASA.

    interface Vlanx

    IP broadcast directed to 199

    IP accounting output-packets

IP pim sparse - dense mode

Has anyone experiences the problem like this before? Thanks in advance for any help.

I took the following sample EEM

The intention is to send a notification to an email address on a network problem. I modified it bit as illustration. You will see that there are various show commands.

Can someone show me please how to send show rather commands simply by adding them to the directory called "server_unreachable"?

Action 1.9 msg syslog "Server unavailable alert has been sent to the mail server!

    See you soon

    Carlton

This cmdlet will actually results by e-mail.  However, in order to get all of the whole output, it uses the file server_unreachable as a buffer from the accumulator.  This file could be deleted as an action 2.0:

    Action 2.0 cli command "remove/force flash: server_unreachable.

But it is already there in action 1.2, so it is not really necessary.

What will happen, this is the applet will be more the file to collect all of the production.  This aggregate output is stored in the variable of _cli_result $.  The result is that the body of your email will contain the result of the consolidated order.

I soon two of ASA, to have several more in the area of connection of networks together.  My main ASA has built a site between itself and other ASA (hand ASA5520 / other ASA5505).

I can SSH or telnet to 5505, even to its internal IP address, but my current problem is the network I cannot ping other devices of the 5505, which is contained within our network.  I try to update the ASA using TFTP, but this does not work as well.  I know this has something to do with icmp, but I think I'm missing something.

When I try to do a traceroute on an internal ip, it fails.

The tftp command is to specify where the file will be recovered from the tftp server. ASA can act as a TFTP server.

Are you trying to ping devices in the same subnet as your ASA interface? You can check the settings of firewall device itself where sometimes it is not allow ping inbound, to disable the Firewall setting may solve your problem of ping test. If you try to ping from a network device, such as a switch or a router of the ASA, you might have more luck.

  • Problem with the Site to Site IPSec VPN using ADSL and PPPoE

I have an IPSec site to Site VPN between a 2805 and an 1841. Both have fixed IP, but the end of 1841 uses a PPPoE and ADSL connection. The MTU that is displayed on the Dialer0 interface is 1454.

I can get the packets through the Tunnel without problem (standard pings), but don't spend larger packages.

    Any suggestions?

You can apply on both. Here's a URL that explain the problem of MTU and option in detail.

  • Unable Ping Host ESX - very weird question...

    Hello

I have a question not yet no willingness so far. Please please help me if you have this issue before or a similar question.

The question like this... 1 vm problem not pings from the ESX host. After reboot the VM, ESX able to ping back.

    Measures taken

1 migrate this Virtual Machine to another host - done problem but always present

2 check the connection as ping then found before restarting the virtual machine: -.

    On my side

    ============

2.1 - ping our surveillance to ESX - OK

2.2 - PIng ESX for VM - inaccessible Getting - not sure it's not main problem (previously ask our customer to reboot the virtual machine)

    On the client side

    =================

    Before restarting the virtual machine

    -------------------------

1 Ping ESX, surveillance and other VM - ok

    After restart VM

    -----------------------

1 Ping ESX, surveillance and other VM - ok

Now on the ESX host. This virtual machine in ESX 1 before that. So I decide to migrate this virtual ESX 2 machine but problem still not solved. Another VM in ESX2 do not have this problem at all.

    Next action

    =========

    1. ask our customer to disable WGTA - not done by the customer (as our requirement can not remote for VM)

We using vSphere 4.1 and the best part, this issue does not happen every day or week. Sometimes occur each week one - (which I think that maybe our fixed calendar client) and sometimes occur each week 2. Sometimes the best part happens 2 times a week.

    Thank you

Finally after our user turn off the LGTO_Sync the problem solved. We have more of this problem of "bizarre".

    Thanks for this help.

It's too generic to mean anything. The application is hidden the real error message. You got when you did the tnsping and obtained "TNS-12535: TNS:operation has expired. Now THAT's an error.

This indicates a problem firewall and routing. You said earlier you could ping the server, but now we see tnsping fails. Two different protocols of usage, so that both the successful ping turns out a valid physical path, it guarantees not that all traffic will pass. What happens with

    c:\ telnet 172.x.x.x 1521
