The problem is the sequence the activity lifecycle callback methods are called: when the dialer application is opened, the first method called is Activity.onPause () - it's OK. But after that is automatically called the Activity.onResume () and Activity.onPause () methods. This occurs without a change in navigation - we still have the Dialer app on the foreground activity. Now, when the user navigates to our application - NO method is called - NO reminder of the life cycle - NOTHING... and the application does not meet the user interaction. After that the application is moved to the background again and for the second time... the Activity.onResume () are called and applications is again active and reactive.

  An idea for a workaround?
