  You can install the Win XP without drivers Intel Storage Manager (SATA drivers) but in this case the SATA mode must be on compatible mode.

  I have the problem with Toshiba Software Installer for Win 7 on Satellite L750-1MT (PSK30E-02T002B3) with no preinstalled operating system.
  I do the following:

  1. install Windows 7 x 64 SP1.
  2 Installing the LAN driver (device was not recognized by Windows 6) (downloaded from [http://se.computers.toshiba-europe.com/innovation/jsp/supportMyProduct.do?service=SE&LNG=26&userAction=S MP_RESULTS_PAGE & partNumber = PSK30E-02T002B3 & serialNumber = & USER_ACTION = Serial % 20number])
  3. install all updates of Microsoft Windows
  4. run the installer of the software Toshiba for Win 7 - it installs two drivers and then asks to restart.

  Here is the log for the first test (win7update.log) file:

  I think that you couldn't find the right drivers XP because you didn t find on the right-hand page.
  Like you probably n t know that this series of laptop (Satellite A305) belongs to Toshiba from US and you have to find good drivers on Toshiba U.S. page!

• Slow reaction of the media on Win XP buttons - Satellite A300-1MX

  I bought a Satellite A300-1MX about 1 month ago. I had XP installed on it. I installed all the drivers, etc.

  The multimedia keys, however, are a little slow in their reaction, meaning: I press one of them (e.g. READING), then it turns on and outside as normally (at full speed), but then he only PLAYS the song after maybe 3-4 seconds.

  The problem is that I've lived twice more that these media buttons reacted very quickly (so normal speed), and only two times this happened was when, once I played a PC GAME, and once I was using another program.

  So it was almost like they wud answer quickly only if traore to be little RAM used, or some processor used. Do not know well, that's my theory.

  Maybe somebody has a solution for how to get the media buttons respond quickly (normally) and not only after 3-4 seconds.

  PS: I use the windows media player for media buttons.

  I have Satellite A300 and use it with Win7 32-bit for some time. At first, I must say that my machine still has original version of the BIOS as your one. It turns out that you need new BIOS if the laptop works well and stabile. Don t change anything.
  Back to your questions:

  (1) this application doesn't exist. After the fresh install of Win7, you must download every single driver, tool or utility and install one by one.

  (2) all the drivers, tools and utilities that you can download on the download page of Toshiba - http://www.toshiba.eu/innovation/download_drivers_bios.jsp
  Here's my list how to install everything you need:

  -Win7
  -chipset driver
  -Storage Manager
  -display driver
  -driver sound
  -modem driver
  -utility supervisor
  -infrared
  -patches
  -configfree
  -VAP
  Hardware - toshiba
  Control - HDMI
  -WLAN driver

  Everything works well but lacks some drivers

  Adding Vista drivers:
  Toshiba - help - working properly
  -Card reader - installed correctly
  -Webcam driver for A500 - tested with Skype - works correctly.
  Driver - Synaptics

  My machine works perfectly with this installation order. Test it.
  At the end once more: BIOS update is not necessary so don't change anything.
