Problems of AirPrint

Need help, as I have tried everything I can think of!

I have a printer HP DeskJet 3050 a (J611a, SMP1FN1115AR firmware version), which is connected to my router wireless Netgear WNR200 (firmware V1.2.3.7). I have three computers connected Windows (2 wired, 1 wireless) printing over the network absolutely fine. The printer is configured for ePrint and I tested too - everything works correctly.

My mother has an iPad 3 (new iPad, the iPad, Apple no matter what you want to call it!) version of the software 5.1.1 (B 9, 206). I have it connected to my network, and it can access the internet. When I try to add the printer (click the arrow of the action in safari, select printer print, select search for printers) it says "AirPrint printers No Found.

I installed the HP software & Bis, and he finds the printer and prints without problem, demonstrating that the network works fine.

I followed the HP store, update the firmware (all devices were already at the latest), I enabled RIP_1 (_2B & 2 M) on the router, but nothing helped. I saw a suggestion to disable IPv6, but cannot find how to do that on the iPad, but the router is not IPv6 anyway so don't think that is the question.

If anyone has any suggestions or (God forbid) a proven solution, I would be very happy to hear it until all my hair is ripped!

Either by the way, the reason why I'm doing all this is to convince my MOM to buy the same printer (or the 3070) - so far it is not to leave a good impression. Also, I need to come here to test him, so excuse me if I take some time in response to suggestions.

Thank you
Paul.

Your router blocks of Hello packets (mdns). You can check wth Netgear to see if they can help you to reconfigure the router or get an update firmware for the router.

  • OfficeJet 6700 DHCP causing problems with airprint and web services

I find it kind of interesting that this printer does not properly with DHCP enabled by default and more easy to use configuration.  My new printer seems to require to manually set the ip and dns settings before the features of web services or airprint worked correctly.  It was strange because printing from a PC and iMac worked well, it was that only the web services feature (unable to connect to the server) and the airprint from IOS devices failed (printer shows up but just disappeared rather than printing impression actually).  Someone else has seen this and not do anything to solve this problem?

The problem with this is effectively resolved through static DNS, generally. The reason it is and not with other functions, is that our print servers that connect you with are able to communicate more easily with some DNS configurations on the other.

For this reason, HP recommends generally defining the DNS for your printer on the parameters of Google DNS: 8.8.8.8 & 8.8.4.4.

    Does that answer your question?

    Have a great day!

    Hi Barb914,

Welcome to the Forums of HP's Support.  I see that you have found a "No. AirPrint Printers' found message when you try to print from your iPad for the Laserjet MFP 1217nwp.

I've included the document How to use Apple AirPrint on a wireless network for you.  It is a document of FAQ for AirPrint.  One of the questions is "what happens if a"Find AirPrint printers"message on my Apple device?".   Please click on the + sign next to this question and there steps that you need to re-establish the connection to your printer.

  • Problem network AirPrint

I recently bought a HP printer of 5520e for its ability to AirPrint. I have a wireless network at home consisting of a hub of fiber of sky with two Linksys Powerline adapters. The printer is near one of the Powerline adapters. My Ipad picks up the printer anywhere in the House, but at least it gets wifi adapter Powerline nearest the printer signal form, when I try to print it says 'Connection to the printer' for about 2 minutes, then 'The printer Preparation', then the message box disappears. A minute or two later a message box is displayed indicating that the printer is offline.

When I first set up the printer it worked fine, then I must have accidentally changed a setting somewhere.

    Can someone help, please?

    Thank you.

The only suggestion I have, comes from one thing, you said that has scratching me my head. To my knowledge, the router and your access points should all be using the same channel.

Think of it as walkie-talkies, if you are not on the same channel, you can not hear the other person. If you are close to the same channel can you pick up a word or two through the static method. My thought is that, and what some verified by printing things where close to the access point but not others, to wireless interference. The router, three access points to the printer with all the different channels, information is just disappearing. Try to configure your access points and network to use the same channel and see what happens.

Channel 1, 6 & 11 are the most common, if you have other routers (neighbouring with wireless) near you, use something between these numbers.

It would be interesting to try, and I'm curious to hear the results if you do.

    See you soon,.

  • Cannot print from iPhone or iPad with AirPrint.

I have a printer Photosmart wireless 5510 B111a. I've always been able to print directly from my iPad 2 and iPhone 6 until recently when I changed my internet phone carrier and fixed networks of ATT to Sonic. Now, I am still able to print from my laptop, MacBook Pro, but not from my iPad and that on the occasion of my iPhone. I get the message "no printer found AirPrint. I did ALL the procedures recommended to solve this problem: turn off all devices, restart the new router, reconnect to the network, unplug the printer, call Apple, etc. This sounds like a problem printer or router. I tried the wireless printer printing a friend who has the same router and I had no problem with a mobile device. My router is defective or a default configuration which excludes Hello AirPrint? I downloaded the application of discovery to see if he could locate my printer but it just scans and research of local domain analysis without results. What can we do? I'm so frustrated!

    Hi forestknowles,

I have the same problem with AirPrint as well. After having tried and tried a lot of different things, my conclusion is something arrested Hello works correctly in the iOS.

    Whenever I have,

    (1) power cycle the printer, or

    (2) Hello re - activate in the configuration of the printer, or

    (3) connect to the Wifi Direct printer

Hello leave the iDevice to discover the printer immediately.

When Hello has stopped working properly in the iOS, it causes similar problems-
    (1) AirPrint printer not found
    (2) printing of late, taking 5 minutes to print a page using AirPrint / ePrint on iOS.

On Mac, I can not connect to the printer to be added through preference of the system-> printers-> Aiprint... "cannot communicate with the printer.

iPad print says printer is offline

Is there a setting on the router, I should change, or an update on the printer?

Thanks for the offers of help. I've now spent to the router Netgear, and that solved all the problems with Airprint. I just got set up fake or maybe EA-Brightbox router does not support Hello....

  • Basic for ePrint AirPrint troubleshooting

Some of our users have temporary problems with AirPrint, ePrint and using our Web Services provided by the ePrintCenter website. There may be a number of issues which can lead to these problems, but I am giong to do my best work to try to help understand them.

With AirPrint, you deal with just your local network. If you are having problems with AirPrint, here are the first steps you can take to correct the problem.

    1. make sure that both devices are on the same network and share the same SSID. Sometimes a single device will be connected to a network of "guest", and this will prevent the cross-communication.

    2. turn off Bluetooth. Rarely, but I've seen that happen before, Bluetooth will interfere with communication with our printers. This is because AirPrint was written to use the same Bluetooth channel. And as having two stations radio which are very close to each other, you will sometimes encounter interferences that prevent the signal.

3 reconnect the printer to the wireless network - simply run the Wireless Setup Wizard solves many connection problems

4 set your printer a static IP and DNS from Google (at the bottom of the screen of the configuration should read the 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4). Here is a video on how to set that-

    http://www.YouTube.com/watch?v=llYNMNKJMX4

    5. after that, if you are still having the same problem I have run a network reset, so that all devices reconnect to your network and servers correctly. Firstly turn off your machine (and other devices on the network that you want to communicate with the printer [e.g. phones/tablets]), then unplug your router, after 10 seconds reconnect the router. Once the lights are all back to normal power (flashing, stable or not) the machine followed by your other devices and test print again.

With ePrint and our printer enabled applications, sometimes it will be not able to be used temporarily. Like most networks, the cloud of HP traverse time periodic when the servers are down for maintenance, maintenance and update. These could cause temporary outages in some of connected applications as well as some of the services provided by HP.

However, if you encounter problems in the long term with ePrint printer applications, there are a few things you can do to correct the problem

1 reconnect the printer to the wireless network - simply run the Wireless Setup Wizard solves many connection problems

    2. give your printer a static IP and DNS from Google (at the bottom of the screen of the configuration should read the 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4). Here is a video on how to set that-

    http://www.YouTube.com/watch?v=llYNMNKJMX4

    3. after that, if you are still having the same problem I have run a network reset, so that all devices reconnect to your network and servers correctly. First turn your machine off, then unplug your router, after 10 seconds reconnect the router. Once the lights are all back to normal power (flashing, stable or not) the machine on and test the connection to the server.

    4. Finally, if these measures fail, you can disable and re-enable web services. This will make you lose your custom printer e-mail address and you will remove the information from your printer to ePrintCenter origin and reconfigure the applications and services you want. However, if necessary, you can contact our free support number below (for US and Canadian customers)

  • Intermittent connectivity of AirPrint

Now that we have ePrint works perfectly with our networks of , maybe someone can help with this problem of AirPrint:

I'm having intermittent connectivity to my 8500 has via AirPrint from my iPhone 4 and iPad.  All my computers laptops (Mac and PC) fine print over wifi, but the printer appears on the iOS devices about 30% of the time and without rhyme or reason with regard to when or why.

I tried to reset all devices as well as the router (Linksys WRT110).  All devices have also applied the latest firmware or the OS updates.

According to this thread on Apple forums, this seems to be a fairly widespread problem: http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=2670097

    Any ideas?

I just wanted to give the community suite my questions Airprint.

Finally, I bit the bullet and replaced my Linksys WRT110 with an Apple Airport Extreme router. I've been running my setup for three weeks now and airprint worked perfectly.  Now, I'm pretty sure it was the router causing problems all the time.

My iOS devices can now find and print my 8500 has all the time.

  • OJ 8500 A910 Pro - iPhone does not see the printer on the network?

I have my HP OfficeJet Pro 8500 A910 connected to my wireless network.  The printer found the network and now has an IP address.  My iPhone is also connected to the wireless network.  I can see both devices on the router.

When I walked into photos and try to print a photo, he says to choose a printer.  When I click on choose, I get "No Printers Found.

    Any thoughts?

    Hey k9rescue!

Sorry to hear that you are having a problem with AirPrint. What iOS version are you running? And what iPhone model do you have?

Additionally, if you are unsure that your device supports AirPrint, try to turn your bluetooth off and see if the printer appears.

Let me know if it helps!

  • iPhone/iPad print several copies on LaserJet Pro M1217nfw after upgrading firmware

Life was good - could print famously well from any iPad or iPhone at home... then I saw the firware update this active ePrint and I've updated so I was able to print to the print House of my laptop on the road. Do not know why, never really need before - but alas, I digress... The problem is that eth firmware update airprint sinc is no longer the functiosn correctly as I get continued to copies of the same print jobs - again and again - unless, after the first print job, I double click on the button "home" NFB iPad to make upi the print queue manager and press Cancel. It seems that the iPad/iPhone does not receive a complete message from the print job from the printer (?) and it continues to send print jobs.

Anyone else having this problem or have any ideas on how to fix?

    Kind regards

    J.

    Good news for all,

There's a new firmware update available now for m1217 series that solves this problem of airprint, that you all see. It is also available for windows, OSX no only. It is also a NEW version of the firmware, not the downgrade option available on osx only.

Thank you all for your patience on this issue and the help of AlwaysNeon looking into this issue.

  • Cannot scan to the MacBook Pro of 6510

I have a Photosmart 6510 for Christmas and I'm having trouble with him. I want to scan wireless to my MacBookPro5, 3 running Mac OS 10.6.8. The printer is on the same network as the computer and I was able to do print wirelessly, thanks to the manual which has not told me what protocol is used. However, when I tried to scan wireless, my printer does not detect my Macbook and Capture picture or Preview detected the device. The computer detects the impression well and the utility installed by device drivers HP application also detects my printer. What should I do to fix this? Said HP documentation I have nothing to do, but there is definitely something wrong. This isn't the only problem, as I will have the most difficulty with something else, but I don't want to connect via USB to scan, if I do not (I can't find the USB provided with the printer still, but I have the USB cable from my old printer). Other discussions appear to have the same message you need to activate something, but they are not useful for me.

    Hello

According to your description, I got the impression that you have added the printer by clicking on the IP port and select the HP Jetdirect Socket Protocol...

Adding the printer by IP allow printing only effect...

To use the feature, you must add the printer as described in the manual...

(By clicking on the sign once more button under Print & Scan you should immediately see your printer listed)

If this isn't what you can see, it seems to me that your Mac and printer communicate well like Hello, which might indicate a wrong settings of the router, or the router may not support multicasting, which is required for Macintosh, envoirnment.

Please let me know your router model, brand and the version of the firmware if it is known

The manual I received did not mention that Hello or any other protocol has been used to connect to computers. You're certainly right about this Protocol, I chose, although he wasn't the first. I chose it only when I'm not as an option in the Detection tab and IPP has been unsuccessful. My router is a Netgear WGT624v2. I have had problems with AirPrint too and someone suggested to use ad - hoc to isolate the problem, which helped. Thus, it seems that the router can be a problem here too. I intend to look at a new router, however, nothing in the router settings had something which needed Hello.

Thanks ShlomiL, I have confirmed that my analysis points are related somehow to my problems of Airprint. I got a new router and everything works fine. Just to inform someone else who can have that particular problem with Netgear WGT624v2 doesn't have the support of Hello had the printer is recognized by the list that shlomil was talking about.

  • Problem with standalone AP1602 Airprint

    Hello

We have 2 Standalone AP1602. It works very well with perfect coverage. However, we have the problem that we cannot print our devices via Airprint. With the Linksys access points old it works, but after that we implemented the new Airprint APs did not work again. We see the printer in the print dialog box and allows you to print without error on the device. However, nothing happens on the printer. There is also no error in the log file.

We hope that someone of you can give us a clue how we bring Airprint working again.

    Thanks for the help!

Others ran in Hello questions with autonomous and it seems that disabling igmp snooping in AP patches most, but not all. Give that a try and see.

  • Apple ios 8 airprinter problems

We have a HP Photosmart Plus B210 printer e which worked perfectly with our phones ipads and i5s before yesterday the upgrade to the new ios operating system 8. Now they won't allow printing from these devices. All devices to recognize the printer, but give in return as a "printer offline" error message, but it is not. Other devices not apple print well on it. Contact Apple Support, but they are basically no ideas on the issue and suggested that contact us HP for an update of the firmware. I told him that's not the problem. They follow supposedly upward.

I tried to restart the printer and also removed from the peripheral tne wireless network and it reinstated, but to no avail. Someone at - it any other suggestions? Of course, it was also a problem with the ios 0f ADVENT 7.

    Hello

Pleae try any of the devices and check restart if that can help:

    1. turn off the printer.

    2. unplug the router for 30 seconds, plug it back and let it 2-3 minutes for iniitalize.

    3. turn the printer on and tery print again.

If it persists even, I would ensure also the latest firmware is installed for the printer:

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c02838391

If there is still no change, another step, I can reset me a device iOS and check network settings for the difference. Who can make settings > general > reset > reset network settings.
