Problems of Apple Mail with El Capitan.

My apple mail has been upward since the installation of El Capitan a few months ago.  Just lately it freezes constantly and I need to force quit all the time.  Also it asks me my e-mail password and won't constantly my delete junk mail - it just sits in the Inbox!  Any ideas would be great thank you.

  • E-mail with El Capitan (10.11.6) issues

I just upgraded to El Capitan of Mavericks (Yes, I know, it has been a long time... he had reasons).  In any case, I will have a number of problems with the mail:

    1. I have multiple accounts, using multiple servers.  It used to be that when I received a message that was sent to the account, if I hit 'Reply' the ' from: ' field set to the appropriate account.  It is now broken.  There are two things I know: by default, the e-mail uses the first account in the list of accounts (on the left in classic mode pane) for the "to:" field.  This doesn't work anymore - it doesn't matter which account is here, that mail chooses a single account and the same account every time.  There is also a field under Mail-> Preferences-> composing called "send new messages of" and allows you to establish an account by default for the "to:" field.  It does not either.  Yet once, it is not matter what I use here, Mail uses only one account for the "to:" field.

    2. There was once a checkbox in the preferences which forced the Mail to use specific servers to specific accounts.  This seems to have disappeared.  Thus, bad servers are sometimes used.

    3. the icon in the dock to display a badge that shows the number of new e-mail messages.  This badge is still there, but tends to have a wrong number.  It seems to exclude some accounts (for some reason any).  Curiously, the account that is often excluded is that Mail seems to want to use by default for the "to:" field.

Some of the problems that are the remnants of Mavericks that I had hoped have been set:

    4. I have a bunch of filters that I have built over the years to deal with spam.  Whenever I get junk e-mail that is identified as spam by one of these filters (because mail transmitted through normal junk mail filters Mail under 'ok') I move the message to the junk e-mail folder and mark it as read.  Mail insists on advising me that I received the mail for some of these messages, but not all, and no one of the messages identified as junk by junk normal mail, filtering process.  What's worse, is that it counts as a new mail message, making the problem to #3 above worst because sometimes the badge displays now the number of new e-mail messages include some of these spam messages.

    5. even if I Mail preferences value regularly delete spam, is not.  In fact, he has not deleted junk mail automatically at the exit despite the settings, because on March 2014.

If anyone can help me with these problems, I would appreciate it.  The most important of them is #1.  I'm tired of having to fix this manually for each message when I reply to a message and that's important.  Some of my accounts do not have my name in it and if I reply to a message to someone expecting to see my name and that they receive this mail of some mysterious person they do not know it could be considered as spam.  In addition, I participate in a number of lists of e-mail configured for auto-rejeter messages from non-subscribers and my replacement ID are not subscribe so my messages would get bounced.  The fault using "from:" address is a pretty serious problem for many reasons.

    Thank you in advance.

Please take these steps to remove the mail folders 'sandbox '.

    Step 1

    Back up all data.

Triple-click anywhere in the line below on this page to select this option:

    ~/Library/Containers/com.apple.mail

Right-click or Ctrl-click on the highlighted line and select

Log off or restart the computer. Launch Mail and test. If the problem is resolved, you may have to re-create some of your e-mail settings. Any writing paper custom that you created may be lost. Ask for instructions if you want to keep these data. You can then delete the folder that you moved and close Finder.

CAUTION: If you change the content of the sandbox, but leave the folder itself in place, Mail may hang or starts any. Remove the tray to sand everything will be rebuilt automatically.

    Step 2

If step 1 does not resolve the problem, repeat with this line:

    ~/Library/Containers/com.apple.MailServiceAgent

  • Photoshop CC 2015 is causing huge problems on my iMac with El Capitan installed.

Photoshop CC 2015 is causing huge problems on my iMac 5 K with El Capitan installed. It feels like most of the actions are running with 5 to 10 images by Mithraeum. It's not smooth. Really rough when you try to move objects in a photoshop document.

Moreover, I need to hold my finger on the left button of the mouse, then release it after 1-2 seconds to get the optional tools like paint bucket, healing brush and other things. Before you installed El Capitan, it was just like this: hold down the mouse button and drag the tool you want to select. This implies a bug.

    Hi hemdabella,

Please try and reset the Photoshop preferences.

    Steps to follow:

To re-create the Photoshop preferences files, start the application while pressing Ctrl + Alt + Shift (Windows) or command + Option + shift (Mac OS). Then, click Yes to the message, "Delete the Adobe Photoshop settings file?"

Let us know if that helps.

  • Problems using Mac Mail with Hotmail address

I had ZERO problems with Mail and my Hotmail e-mail address for years until Sunday evening. I thought that maybe the Hotmail servers are down and cannot send e-mail that he requested my password, but it says that it was not correct. (but it was) Today I open mail and get the same message and my iPhone was not able to receive mail. After deleting and adding the Hotmail account on my iPhone, it works and receiving mail. On my Mac, it's another story. I removed it without any problems, but when I went back to add an account, it says the account already exists. My Hotmail account is not listed in my internet accounts and not showing is not on my mail. I tried setting up with a fake account and manually enter server information and it STILL says that the account already exists. Is it possible for me to again access my Hotmail on my Mac mail? Thank you!

After digging around some more to the forums I found my resolution. I had to remove my iCloud account (which uses my hotmail email address) then add my Hotmail email, then add my iCloud account again.

  • Driver problem Canon irc 2880i with El Capitan

    Hello

I have a MacBook Pro of the retina with ESES El Capitan 10.11.2 and a printer Canon irc 2880i.

I tried to download the drivers from http://it.software.canon-europe.com/products/0010365.asp , but many of them are too old to be installed on my Mac, and the only one that can be installed has this problem: the CMA recognizes the printer and he knows also the levels of toner, all seems fine, but when you print something the printer does not print anything. On the printer screen, it says 'NG' instead of 'OK' with an error code #853. The Mac detects any errors.

PLEASE, HOW CAN I SOLVE THIS PROBLEM?

There is no such thing as ESES.

It's called Mac OS X for Mac.

iOS is for iPod Touch, iPhone and iPad.

Nevertheless, it is clear what you're trying to do.  You can find some drivers open source work better.  My FAQ links * for open source drivers:

    http://www.macmaps.com/printersx.html

Note that if your Mac is prior to the date of release in 10.11, you may be able to keep an older operating system on a separate partition and save your printing in PDF format to print from the older operating system that is supported by your printer.     Alternatively, you can sell your printer and get one that supports 10.11.

  • Problem of audio recording with El capitan. 10.11 pops, drops, glitches, static

I'm running a 2014 macbook pro i7, 16 GB ram, ssd 1 TB and after the upgrade to el capitan, I can't get a good recording out of logic.  I also tried Reaper and too present the problem to a lesser degree.

    I tried Rolands buffer suggestion:

    http://www.Roland.com/support/Knowledge_base/201971259

and suggestions from a previous post, without success:

Anyone using a Roland Octa-capture with Logic Pro X on El Capitan?

Someone else knows it, or have any ideas?

I use a similar Macbook Pro, (not sure of it's details) and don't know if this problem (one of MANY) I'm having with registration / my projects to bounce back after the upgrade to El Capitan. I can't tell if it's just audio recordings, or the popular MIDI as well, but once I'm bouncing my project, the result is a high frequency of acute, the added sibilance or effect tinney of everything (especially the song - it's everything I like audio tracks). Bounce same projects before El Capitan of his fine, & it seems more sensitive with MP3, & not as much with the Wav or Aif files.

  • Return of the frustrating problem of e-mail with blackBerry Smartphones

After having my BB still reset my TI guy, I brought it home to install a few programs (box letters BES and some games).  When I plugged the device on my computer after starting dm (version 4.2) I was encouraged because it did not sync things that she had done in the past.  I installed the software and voila, I get the nice email telling me that I am no longer connected to the BES.  I tried to remove the battery for a minute or so, but not joy.  Exploring further, I noticed that under options > advanced options > Enterprise activation that my e-mail address is missing.  I had this thing reset every day this week, I can't figure out what I could do wrong.  Any ideas?

Just uninstall dtm of add/remove programs and then reinstall it on the cd delivered with BB, and during the installation, choose BIS as an installation option.

Yes, you have to buy 6 pack I guess.

  • Anyway to serve Apple Mail to send the message to avoid?

A different perspective on the problems of e-mail with El Capitan. (Probably not systemic, but I wonder if there is NO solution short of reformatting the hard drive.)

Woman tries to send a new email to herself yesterday to test send, receive, but she used a nonexistent account send (it's only reception). She had done this before in Yosemite, and it was no big thing to stop trying to send. But in El Capitan, Apple Mail is toast because * it won't end *.  I can easily close Apple Mail, but no submission, no home, no deletion and not at all bad editing message is possible I found. Cold start is no help. Relocation of El Capitan is no help. Closing iCloud is no help. Is it possible to purge the Outbox, when Apple Mail will do only one thing: try furiously and impossible forever to send this message, consuming vast bandwidth processor for any other application running, each time Mail is opened. (Other applications run very well if the Mall is closed).

    ~ Tim

    Delete the Outbox.

  • iPhoto 1.2 does not work with El Capitan and 'Help' pages ignored by Apple!

Update to Apple iPhoto with El Capitan on a MacBook Pro is a disaster: it is a completely new version with NO INSTRUCTIONS! It is impossible to edit uploaded photos, events seems to have totally disappeared and the news of 'Help' are a joke. Also, Apple do not answer questions, such as this, put online.

It must be a solution or inline instruction manual, but where is it please!  Thank you very much!

Photos for Mac is not an iPhoto update, it is a completely different application.  You open iPhoto libraries in Photos, but the photo library will turn it into albums iPhoto events, because there is no events.  Photos creates rather Moments based on the date and place, and they are created automatically.

Take a look at the online help: Help the Photos

And also: How Photos handles content and metadata for iPhoto and Aperture - Apple Support

You can continue to use iPhoto.  9.6.1 iPhoto works well on El Capitan.

The EL Capitan upgrade uninstall not iPhoto. Open the Applications folder and drag iPhoto to the dock.  If the icon is blocked, try updating to iPhoto 9.6.1:

If you have a version of the AppStore in iPhoto, you can try updating iPhoto to 9.6.1 iPhoto as described by Barney:

  • How to remove contacts from AutoComplete in Apple Mail?

I've recently updated to El Capitan, and I had so many problems of Apple Mail, I am close to resolve.

Here's my problem: when I type a letter in the field 'To' - like saying "n" - all emails that I received recipients that begin with the letter "n" is displayed, including spam.

The only solution I found here is to go to the 'window'-> previous winners and remove all the previous recipients of my email.

But this isn't the problem I have here.

What does the field 'To' is people who I never sent. I don't want all these people appear again. I fear that one of these days I'll accidentally send the wrong person.

I tried pressing the button 'more' to have semi-automatic entered e-mail address does not work in my contacts list. But it does not work.

    Any help would be appreciated.

Just to be clear: I use OS X 10.11.4

  • Apple Mail vacuum in local folders

I upgraded to El Capitan a few months ago. I've updated, so I am now on 10.11.3. I'm now migrating to a new Mac, and I am (now) has a lot of old e-mail to keep because we work are empty, indicating that "this message has no content." I always have the subject of the e-mail, only no content. I use this store of electronic mail only from time to time (this is why I do not take the problem so far) to search for information of months / years. I don't need much, but according to my work, it is very useful when I need.

I remember having Spotlight search in the last two months and get strange results, but I don't have time to consider the issue. This leads me to believe that the upgrade to El Capitan created somehow a problem in local folders from Apple Mail.

In recent days I've read a lot of forums, many on the problems of Apple Mail create upgrade to El Capitan. I tried things as mailbox-> rebuild on one of the folders, but it seems that the reconstruction process has deleted all the messages (the header at least), so now, there are 0 messages in this folder. Now, I'm problem making it easy nothing more without more about Apple Mail and what could have happened.

I do regular backups, but I don't have a backup from before the upgrade.

    Thoughts and guidance?

    Thank you.

I have the same problem with Apple Mail. Every piece of e-mail has a title, but when I click on the title to see the text of the message, nothing appears. The email seems to have no content! If I DOUBLE click on a title to email a response window pop open that is contains the editable from the original message text, but Apple Mail has never worked this way before and it is extremely annoying. We should be able to see the text of the message before we decide to respond.

I scoured all settings/preferences and tried all the usual remedies to solve the problem, but nothing works. I, also, am under El Capitan 10.11.3, although I don't remember exactly when this problem started occurring.

    A little help there?

  • Apple mail gif

How can I insert a gif animated in Apple Mail with reliability?  It seems that, at random, gif anime, OR it will be just a static image.

When it's a static image, the drop-down menu "image size" appears.  When it is animated, this does not happen.

I tried the drag and drop, both using the attachment in Mail icon.

I had this problem for about a month and can not identify why sometimes the gif comes alive, and sometimes it isn't.

    Thank you.

I don't know the answer to your question, however, is not specific to the position. It has something to do with how the GIFs are created or packaged. The same thing is happening in browsers and in the Finder.

  • Apple Mail - assignment of priority

    Hello

could someone explain to me why I have this problem and how to put it right.

I use Apple mail with a Gmail account.

I can not assign a priority to an individual e-mail message setting.

    I select:

    Message

then: in the drop down menu choose: Message / Mark

    the 3 axes appear

    -As low priority

    -As normal priority

    -With a priority high

are all 'grayed out' - I can't select all.

Could it be a setting in my Gmail account, I need to change...?

    Any advice much appreciated.

    Thank you

Tony, in London in the United Kingdom.

    Hi N14!

I understand that you want to assign priority settings to messages in the Mail application.  I understand you want to set the priority of messages in Mail, and I'm happy to review some information for you.  Priority settings apply only to outgoing messages, so it might be why you are not able to choose a priority.  If you are having problems assigning a priority to outgoing messages, please answer and let me know what version of Mac OS X you are using.

Thank you for using communities of Apple Support.

    See you soon!
