Problems of compatibility in Windows 8.1

Hello. I have a few questions in mind before I have install Windows left 8.1. According to microsoft, I had the windows 8.1 Upgrade Wizard to see if my PC is good enough to run. IM planning to migrate to 8.1 32-bit version, but I want to just be informed with several things. I checked my PC, the results were the following. I captured the image so that it would be too long for me to write all this.

Please help me to understand everything and I need a few pieces of advice to clarify things before taking any action. Is that what I should first of all, and that is - do this before and after I installed windows 8.1.  Either way, my laptop is Toshiba Satellite L505 ultimate of 2 GB of ram Windows 7.

Hello Jayson,

Thank you for contacting Microsoft Community. We understand that you want to cross-check a number of things until you want to upgrade Windows 8.1.

For your information, upgrade wizard Windows shows that amongst the installed apps are compatible and are not for the version of Windows that you are about to install. As suggested by the screenshots, you have nothing to fear. But still, we recommend that you run a quick scan through the Web site of the manufacturer of your system to check if they provide support for your device in Windows 8.1 too.

You can still proceed with the 8.1 Windows installation, even if the manufacturer of your system does not support. But your system aren't always certain drivers and supports if they are not provided through Windows update.

Hope this helps,

  • ReadyNas Duo and problem of compatibility between Windows Vista?

    Hi all

I currently have the installer to readynas duo work that is used to store and share files / information to 3 other computers that are connected wirelessly (I think?). The problem is that when you try to access the files on it, they are extremely slow to load, and sometimes come as "not responding" but finally after load up to 3-5 minutes, which of course is not optimal for a work desk. This slow loading time occurs on 2 of the 3 computers, that it works great on windows 7, the other two are vista.
This could be a compatibility issue with vista or a problem with the duo of nas? IM leaning towards a problem vista as windows system 7 works fine without any problems.

However, you can download and install Wondows XP Mode for windows 7. Later, you can install your 16-bit application in XP mode.

  • Problems installing iTunes on Windows 10 12.3.1.23

    Hello

I had this problem for two weeks, I don't know how to solve, and it would be good to have help.

Two weeks ago, I noticed that after I had plugged my iPhone into my PC 5, only Windows Explorer recognized iTunes didn't.

So I tried to see if there were updates for iTunes, but no update has been published.

I used Windows 10 tools to uninstall it and then tried to install it again.

Before that, I used CCleaner to make sure that no left, files or old registry key remained in Windows.

Then I tried to install iTunes 12.3.1.23 by downloading from the Apple Web site and by opening the Setup program.

Since then, every time, when I try to install iTunes, installation work until it says "Restore action", and a new mask appears, where it is written that there is a problem and that Setup could not install the software.

After trying this for 3 - 4 times, I went to C:\Users\MYUSER\AppData\Local\Apple\Apple Software Update and tried to run all executable files in this folder, which contains installers for each program, Apple needs to install iTunes on PC separatelly, distinguished by the installation program downloaded by the Apple because one website you can download contains all the facilities of programs in a single installer.

I managed to install all the software, with the exception of the Apple Mobile Device Support (version 9.1.0.6), who, as program controls when a unit Apple is plugged to the PC, and it has not worked since the beginning and is the one who made me do all this, in my view, is the same as the one send me problems during the installation of iTunes when I run the installation program downloaded by the Apple Web site.

Anyone have the same problem and/or know how to fix this problem?

    I have 10 Home Windows (64-bit) version 1511.

    Thank you

For general advice, see troubleshooting problems with iTunes for Windows updates.

The steps described in the second case are a guide to remove everything related to iTunes and then rebuild what is often a good starting point, unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review other cases and a list of documents to support further down the page, in which case one of them applies.

More information area has direct links with the current and recent buildings if you have problems to download, must revert to an older version or want to try the version of iTunes for Windows (64-bit-for old video cards) as a workaround for problems with installation or operation, or compatibility with QuickTime software or a third party.

Your library must be affected by these measures but there are also links to the backup and recovery advice it should be necessary.

In some cases with 64-bit systems, you may need to install the version of iTunes for Windows (64-bit-for older video cards) and QuickTime to enable iTunes work with some videos. 32-bit users must install QuickTime.

Fax services Windows XP is not a very robust application.  The usual answer to questions such as yours is, "If the modem is not on the compatibility list hardware Windows XP, then it probably won't work with Services of Fax XP."  The problem with such a response is that the XP HCL (or whatever Microsoft changed its name to) is no longer available, and even if that were the case, you probably couldn't find one of the modems listed to sell more.

Your phone numbers are clearly not to the United States.  In the United Kingdom perhaps?  If you are using dialing rules, so the number called and the call number must be included in the 'canonical form'http://support.microsoft.com/kb/318575/

With the American numbers, this means that they would look like this: + 1 (202) 456-1414 (standard White House). If you call a London phone number, it could be something like this: + 44 (020) 7782-5000 (Sunday Times).

I'm sure that you must sign, almost certainly you need parentheses and don't know the spaces and dashes. For this reason, I don't usually use dialing rules.

When you leave the area for numbering rules uncontrolled, you must enter the phone number EXACTLY as you would if you were composing a normal phone using the line to which the modem is connected.

Try to send a fax to your phone (mobile or not, it is not serious).  Is called ringtone? When answer you, you hear fax tones?

Based on your answers to the above, we can (or cannot) be able to move forward in order to diagnose your problem.
