• Problem with Hotkey features

  I had this problem for quite a while. I noticed that, after a few days, one of the services of ThinkPad Hotkey features, on-screen, have been disabled for some reason any and seems impossible to restore without reinstallation. For example, when I press Fn + F5 (wireless is enabled), instead of giving me the black screen to allow me to switch wireless and Bluetooth, it only toggle the button bluetooth every time I press it. It is the same with the volume and brightness indicator icons when I adjust them by Fn + Home/end and Volume controls respectively.

  LAPTOP MODEL IS: HP 2000 420AC

  1 REINSTALLED A BRAND NEW HOME FOR WINDOWS 7 64 BIT.

  2. DOWNLOADED/INSTALLED ALL THE DRIVERS ON THE SITE OF HP FOR THIS MODEL.

  3. THE DRIVERS WIFI/wireless connection would NOT MOVE, I GET a MESSAGE READING "802.11.a/b/g/n wireless device not found adapter. The device may not be present or could have been ejected/disconnected from the system. Abandonment of the installation, please insert the card and try Setup again."

  The wireless card was not removed from the system, in fact, the laptop was never even opened.

  4. THE SHORTCUT KEYS DO NOT WORK TO TURN ON WITHOUT WIRELESS/WIFI, OR VOLUME CONTROLS, SCREEN BRIGHTNESS OR...   Hello. I just got a Lenovo X 61 Tablet. some keys did not work. the tablet buttons thinkvantage and mute button. I realized that the tablet buttons did not work because the Tablet has been recently updated to Vista wiindows 7, 32 bit and does not have installed the drivers. I found the drivers for the tablet buttons and they work fine now.

  I have a Satellite Pro U300 PSU31E and have problems with the critical level of batteries and hibernation since I got it.

  Critical battery level is set at 2% - is the the strage thing if I hit Hibernate mode (via the power button or start > Hibernate) it have hibernated ok - even at 2% remaining battery. However if I leave it to do this automatically (via the action of critical battery and critical battery level Windows) he died just in hibernation - looks like it ran out of power. The only way I can operate automatically through Windows is by setting the battery level critical to 8% (he dies still in hibernation on what whether it is less than 8%).

• Satellite U300 - noise problems

  Just got a U300. Beautiful machine, but it's impossible to use in a silent room:

  (1) CPU fan turns on and off all the time; It is calibrated to vary with the temperature of the CPU in a really annoying way: nothing in to 51 degrees, then half speed up to 53 or two, then full blast.
