• Problem connecting USB to install HP Photosmart 5510 all-in-one inkjet

  Photosmart 5510 all-in-one inkjet

  Windows XP Pro x 86 (32-bit) service pack 3

  Software installs fine until he asking for the type of connection. The computer does not have wireless so I select USB connection and it fails every time. If I select to connect to PC later and plug in the USB, Windows detects new hardware (HP 5510) and asks where to look for drivers. When directed to the installation CD "Invalid data" error when copying files. In the Device Manager in the USB section it lists the Photosmart 5510 with a yellow! Selection of reinstall the driver results in an "impossible to install error.

  There is no other printer currently installed on the computer and the 5510 Photosmart is set as default printer. So far I have;

  tried different usb ports

  tried running the installer from the installation CD

  I tried to download updated drivers

  tried to install with disabled firewall and antivirus

  tried to install it in safe mode

  Same problem occurs every time. Any solutions or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

  Finally solved the problem. Had an old Pentium 3 machine around the pose and decided to try to change the disk hard on and see if I could install the printer with a different material.

  It turns out that the mup.sys file, which has something to do with PnP devices, has been damaged and Windows wouldn't start in the other Tower. Then, I took out the HARD drive and put it back in the Dell can reformat Windows XP and guess what, printer installed without a hitch the first time I tried! Now I have to reinstall everything on the computer * sigh *.

  In any case, the printer problem fixed!

  Hi I have an old HP OFFICEJECT 5500 SERIES ALL-IN-ONE (the model is 5510).  I bought it for my original DELL XP in 2004.  He worked especially well when I transferred to my next OS from VISTA DELL (less some functions) but the impression was very good.  Now my new DELL XPS 15z Windows 7 operating system is unable to locate a driver for it.

  What does that mean?  It's such a great printer - that is to say not one disposable.  It will not work in this environment?   I looked everywhere for a driver (on my system and on the internet).  Windows said to contact the manufacturer.

  I have a printer HP deskjet 3050 all-in-one series J610 which I use with Windows Vista Version 6.0 (Build 6006: Service pack 2).  The connection is by USB port.  I have not used the printer for a while, but did all the maintence checks & it's good to go.  When I want to print a letter the only thing that is printed is the e-mail address that is blue in color.  I think the problem is in the settings of the features of the printer.  I can print the letter in gray scale, but it is not easy to read and is not suitable for business relationships.

  I would appreciate help with this problem.  A definition of the terms used in the features of the printer can help me to solve it in myself.

  It is possible to print in black only, however, it is impossible to print with color inks as the black color is also the basis for color printing.

  Make sure that the black ink is indeed empty by checking the ink levels estimated on the printer screen.

  1. In the Control Panel, select uninstall a program and uninstall the driver software base HP Deskjet Ink Advantage publicly traded 1515.

  I have used this printer on XP for years without any problem. But have not been able to use it on Vista. I uninstalled and reinstalled the VISTA version of the driver downloaded from the HP website, but noting has worked so far. Have tried all USB ports in the front and the back of the system, but no luck.   I have a HP 6310 of all-in-one desktop. My scanner was working fine until I changed my PC running on Windows & Pro. I tried various solutions proposed by the community and the last test has been with HP Print & Scan Doctor 4.3. Follow the instructions on the screen. Also I could hear the ROAR scanner far when the message to display "HP Scanning" window showing on the monitor. The program checked all checks i.e. Device Manager, Scan Driver Check, device status, window (WIA), solution, registry, Scan Flow Manager & Digital Image Monitor HP Center. Only two controls that had yellow Triangles were HP Scanner Twain and Front Panel Test. The HP Twain Scan error message was ' the twain component is used by another process even after a reboot. Remove the software by clicking 'uninstall '. Reinstall the software with the product CD or by downloading the latest full features software of HP customer service (recommended). Note: You should always be able to scan from applications such as Microsoft Paint. If this will meet your scanning needs, and then click 'Skip '.

  I am not that technica l and would really all members to guide me through the process in order to get scanner work. When I go through the movement of the scanning of a document via the HP Solution Center, I go for the selection process the file type I want the document to be registered as (somewhere e.g. office) but get an error message. I would appreciate help to resolve this matter without spending money to call the telephone helplines HP as currently unemployed. Thanking you in advance.
