Problems of replacement screen satellite C670

Hello

I was wondering if someone could help me?
The screen on my C670 works but has visible damage and a lot of dead pixels,
I bought two replacement screens, but have been unable to operate them, any more than the backlight to come.

Two replacements were returned to where they were purchased and are tested and found to work very well, I am now at a loss at what to do next...

I don't really understand what could be the problem the two substitutes did not work but my original works well... surely if there was a problem with the connector of my screen does not work either?

My screen is a LP173WD1 (TL) (N1) and the replacements have been N173FGE - L23 and LP173WD1 (TL) (E1) which I was assured were both compatible with my device.

Thanks in advance

Hello

As far as I know, there are different sets of Satellite C670.
I found some details about the PSC3SE, PSC3NE, PSC3LE, PSC3QE of the submodels.

It seems that the LCD module 17.3 "W HD + (1600 x 900px) uses a backlight LED as the light source.
Then you should be sure that you use the right one.

I don t think that the view on the motherboard controller is faulty because in this case the original display would not work too.

The LCD screen and motherboard are connected by cable, inverter, the inverter Board and
LVDS cable. You must ensure that the LVDS cable is firmly connected to the motherboard.
If the connection is loose, firmly reconnect and restart the computer C670.

    > All work equally well with a USB keyboard.

For me, looks like the keyboard would be defective.
The point is that if the USB keyboard is OK the problem may not be related to software settings.
    Therefore, hardware failure.

Get in touch with the Toshiba ASP in your country and ask for a check of keyboard and replacement

  • Satellite Pro L20-someone ' one can tell me if I have a problem with the screen?

    Hello

I have a Pro L20 - PSL25E and I recently had problems with the screen, it was intermittently flickering/lose color and whiting almost (when the color fades white vertical lines begin to appear).
This seemed to worsen after that I dropped it (only from about 2 feet off the ground, not a big drop).

I thought that the sceen can go, but the performance of the laptop seems to be affected when this happens, the laptop started to run very slow (tracks mouse slowly, programs I clicked take ages to run and it freezes sometimes to stop flashing) that had me thinking that it might be a virus or performance problem.

My screen, drivers are updated, I did a full scan with McAfee, ran a clear-up system and a Defrag.

I was wondering if anyone knew if it seemed to be a problem with the connections of the screen and would need replacement or if it could be repaired or if it were a performance problem?

Any help would be great thank you appreciate!
    Rebecca.

Looks like the graphics chip has a problem, which I think is a motherboard replacement.

You can get a quote for repair to an authorized service provider. There is a list of ASP on the Toshiba site.

  • Replace screen green Mocha & follow-up with perspective problem

    So I have these images;

    https://www.dropbox.com/s/tqtfcg5m7rw35wd/phone%203.m4v?DL=0

    1. which requires the phone to be tracked and replaced the screen. I am familiar with mocha AE and can easy follow up but lose track completely when the phone is off the hook in the beginning and when the top left of the phone turns off the screen. No idea how I can solve this problem of follow-up? I have actually some more shots like that have the perspective and thumb-finger obscuring the phone, so none of the shots are very frank. I can't find any tutorials on the topic in depth.

2 I used Keylight for touch on the green screen (workflow; Color touch - switch to the status display, black clip adjusts the gain of the screen, white clip) but I had to cut the white as the images on the guys hand now dances autour, as is the noise. That is almost like the layer's mode "dissolve the dance." Well, I guess it's because I cut so white... A few tips on this would help me lot too!

    Any help would be appreciated!

    Thank you!!

I took your film and brought in After Effects.  He was very small, so I doubled the size of the model, and then added some exposure compensation and detail preserving high-end to give me more pixels to work with. I then exported a sequence of images to use in Mocha. The sequence of images was imported from AE and a new created model which corresponded to it. I selected Track in mocha.

After analyzing the images, I realized that I had problems in the first few pictures because of the motion blur and depth of field. There is a black bar at the top and bottom of your film and which would also cause a problem. The solution is to create a spline X first to act as a grip on the tracker.  The second step was to create a set of X grooves on a new layer covering the sides, top and bottom of the phone. I started on a frame that shows most of the phones. The layer was on top, the tracker below layer. I followed with interest, then repositioned the CTI for the start of the track and followed back until the track began to fall apart.   Backup of the last tract good framework I have change to set track and completed manually tracing. It took only about to keyframes. Then I adjusted the surface and refined the track using the 16 x 16 in a super grid.  The track was closed and I've added a new X spline to use as a Roto for the thumb. I have isolated the part of the thumb covering the screen only.  The layer of Roto was locked to the track and then adjusted and fringes of edge has been applied.

When this was complete I first exported mocha for the layer of Roto shape data.  Back in AE I duplicated the layer of film and pasted Mocha shape data to the copy that gave me a perfectly hidden copy of the thumb.

The last step was to take the replacement screen image and add to the timeline and then secure the composition and then before dialing. Back to mocha, I copied code confidential from corner of the layer and glued to the replacement screen demo data.  By arranging the layers with the original film on the bottom, replacing the following screen and thumb on top of the implementation of the composite for final adjustments. Setting of the motion blur and focus on the replacement of the screen to complete the project. Total duration of approximately 15 minutes.

Your film would, in fact, a good tutorial because of his problems. With your permission, if the sequence is yours, I will when I have time. The point is that you should analyze your film and then decide on the best technique to achieve your goal. Same horrible images can be used. You must analyze the images and then decide the best technique to achieve your goal. Any film can be tracked manually in a reasonable amount of time using the proper technique. He really successfully complete your film was enough to improve the contrast and exposure to follow up and do a bit of work by hand.

You are right. The internal display is not cheap.
You should know that the screen and the motherboard are larger parts for laptops!

I found the new internal LCD display offers and you can get it for about $ 300.

I think that the second hand screen is a great option.

  • Replacement screen dv7-7121nr problems

OK, this is my last attempt to get help on this. I have a screen broke on my DV7. This is the DV7-7121nr with beats. I have a replacement screen I bought at HP on Amazon, but I can't get off the bezel for the life of me. It's like a face 2 clip which seems to be impossible to get off.

Can someone help if you did or you know how? It's quite urgent...

    (name of the edited section)

Here is a link to a youtube video showing the procedure for disassembly of the screen:

    http://www.YouTube.com/watch?v=JXjIkD7IQOg

Once you have the top and two sides broken loose, you can use your fingers to break up the background. Equivalent of the top inside the low side of the bezel. It should just pop right off the coast. This particular model has no screw on the bezel. The cover hinges should not keep the glasses come off.

  • Satellite C670 - monitor: gamma too high setting at startup

I have a Toshiba Satellite C670, win7 64-bit. I got it for about a month. The monitor drivers are the most recent available version.

I recently noticed a problem with the monitor gamma settings. At startup, the screen is brighter than it should be. When I go to monitor settings / color enhancements and I change default gamma 1.0, for example, 0.9, I see the screen Brown (significantly) on 2 separate but quick steps. Change the gamma to 1.0 makes the screen go more brilliant in one step (small), and the final result is darker what before I change anything.

Increase gamma to 1.1 or 1.2 also gives me a result darker than the 'declared' gamma of 1.0 at startup; in my opinion, the gamma at startup is about the same when I manually updated 1.3.

"However, when I set the gamma for, for example, 0.9, at startup, the screen will return to about 1.3" real gamma "again. Of course I could shuffle control gamma back and forth whenever I start my laptop, as well as gamma 1.0 is indeed as dark as it should be, but surely I shouldn't do this? I use the laptop mostly for so it is quite important for my use of the laptop to have correct gamma of photo editing.

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated!

    Kind regards
    Bart

    Hello

From my own experience, each screen takes care of different properties.
As far as I know, monitor manufacturers store gamma, color of inside information monitors that are used by the graphics card drivers.

For common use, its ok, but people who don't Imaging there are various tools that help you manage these settings.

I recommend you test a tool called QuickMonitorProfile
It's free and allows you to create the most commonly used workspace profiles. It is also possible to create a monitor profile.

  • AMD Radeon 7570-devices is not compatible with Windows 10 - you're going to have problems with your screen

Microsoft will come out with Windows 10, as an upgrade of the free operating system next month, July 29, 2015. They came out with an app, 'Get Windows 10', which is intended to help the operating system upgrade process. In this app, it checks for compatibility issues that may exist between your computer and their new Windows 10.  I get results for two of compatibility issues when I run this app. The one that concerns me, it is with the video card that came with my computer, AMD Radeon HD 7570.

The app tells me: "these devices are not completely compatible with Windows 10" and he adds "you will encounter problems with your screen."

Is there any driver updates that resolve this problem?

The driver, I installed on my pc is Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. version 8.960.11.2000

Windows says that the driver is up-to-date.

If no driver is available to correct this problem will be I need to replace the video card in my computer and if so with what?

I currently use two screens, a LG 22EA53 (analog) and an Acer S230HL without any problems with Windows 7, Home Premium, Service Pack 1.

    Malygris1,

Well, son of a gun... looks that microsoft has made changes in their updates.

Now when you run the "'get 10 app Windows, check your PC ' it reads in devices..." "0 problems found."

Looks like Microsoft do with last-minute changes, as you indicated, and others have mentioned about being patient on this matter, that they may (?) have addressed this problem.  Probably won't suddenly course up until the update is done.

Guess for now, I have to score this as accept as a Solution.
