  • Cannot view my pictures in Windows - coming souvenir photo gallery upward with a pink screen!

Recently when I go to in my photo folders and try to view an of my my photos or images it is endlessly with a pink full screen with a slight preview of the photo (a bit like a photo negative!) Have you tried to change the color and other levels out a bit of luck. This was never a problem until a week ago. Have just got a new Philips monitor 190SW, it would have something to do with it? Any help or ideas on what could cause this problem or how to fix this would be appreciated.

    Hi Dave D

Discovered that the problem was with the new monitor. The problem occurs because an incorrect color profile is used for the device to monitor in color management. When Windows Live Photo Gallery uses the incorrect color profile to manage settings of color for the images, the image may not appear as expected. Note: Microsoft Paint and Microsoft Windows Picture and Fax Viewer does not use color profiles to manage the parameters of color for the images.

I had to do the following (instructions for anyone else having a similar problem). For Windows Vista only.

    1. click on START, type color management in the Search box and press ENTER.

    2. in the color management dialog box, click to select the use my settings for this device check box.

    3. in the list of profiles associated with this device , click the color profile you want to remove and then click RemoveNote if you receive a warning message, click Yes.

    4. click close, and then restart the computer.

Hope this helps someone else with a similar problem.

    Hi Zbolts,

To resolve this isse, I recommend that you run the System File Checker.
This will check for corrupted Windows system files and replace them with
a new copy. Use the following steps to run the System File Checker:

    1. click on the Start button.
    2. in the search box, type command prompt.

  • Windows poster thumb Photo Gallery old nails - before disappearing?

So I opened the Windows since the menu photo gallery programs for the first time in 4 years since I bought this desktop computer, 2 years since my last restore.  When I opened it a bunch of thumb of all photos I saved it all popped about ten seconds before disappearing, there are pictures of me and some friends that I thought had been deleted and I was wondering if this means that they are stored somewhere on my hard drive? This would mean a lot if they could be recovered! I am running Windows Vista.

    =============================================
Photo Gallery has an exclusive database that includes inches
    and metadata.

Thumbs have been generated when the photos were
actually on your hard drive... and since the photo gallery
been closed because the files have been deleted... the database has been
    not updated.

Photo Gallery reopening has to update the database
and purge the thumbs for photos that are no longer on your hard drive.

Sometimes deleted files can be recovered from the hard drive
but after several months or years have elapsed the chance is next to
Impossible since they are replaced with other files.

  • Windows Live-no photo gallery is not able to change the location of import of images

    Windows Live Photo Gallery

I'm having a problem accessing the Import tab I can change the folder where I want my photos to import into. The AutoPlay option is not a solution to this problem because the import option is no longer in existence within the Windows Live Photo Gallery. By following these steps, I'll show you where the problem occurred. Go to Windows Live Photo Gallery > file > Options > general/import/Tags > import >? White screen? There is no option. The same thing happens if I go to Windows Live Photo gallery > file > import from a camera or scanner > camera memory card > guest import pictures and videos > Options >? does not respond when you click the button options. Is there a solution that exists? I have not yet found one.

Change the associations of the image on your system has no effect the
recipients of an e-mail message. Who controls just what program
starts when you open a photo on your system.

BTW... If you are referring to Adobe Reader... it is to view .pdf files
and is not useful for photos.

If your photos are JPEG (.jpg) files your recipients should be able to
    to view them.

  • many programs try to open by mistake with "Photo Gallery"

My .exe and several other actions were attributed to photo Gallery as default. I will open, for example, my samsung camera app and I get a message saying "Photo Gallery can't open this program. If please, create an association in the area of the default programs or download recent updates to the photo gallery.

I think that even my action .exe is unusable because the machine attempts to use Photo Gallery to function.  It's beyond the "default settings" for file types, I'm quite sure. What have I done?  I had a big "dump" last week which screwed up a lot of things.  Anyone know where to go for .exe to which it belongs?

  • need help, troubleshooting with Photo Gallery

good so I stumbled on another weird little problem w the XT. not deadly

somewhere along the line, I lost the ability to open the photo gallery. I will open for half a second and then closes automatically. He does everything by selecting it from an application, and it does if I try to open in the drawer.

So that's where to look for the community. does anyone else have this problem? If so what is the apps that you have installed?

I have about 60 applications on the phone, but those who directly perform the camera are:

    Ustream

    PicSay

    FxCamera

    barcode reader

now the applications that can use the Photo Galleryive installed ones)

    Bettercut

    Facebook

    handcent

There are probably others just have not used yet.

So just let me know if 1) you have one of these installed apps 2) you have the same problem as me.

    Thank you

  • Problems of Windows 7 with Mabinogi

Here's my problem. I tried to install Mabinogi after my computer has been erased, and then upgraded to windows 7 from windows Xp. I had no issues when he was under windows Xp, but I have a problem trying to boot Windows 7. I get a message from the game saying "Cancel-Compatibility Mode. Please re-run. ', even if I don't use it in Compatibility Mode. In addition, there are the case who does not show up after that it was just installed. When I click the Start Game button, the Client.exe seems to work not even how it should and will not launch what it should launch. I tried to get help from Nexon, but I don't think they understand this problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated. (Thanks in advance)

    Blindmerc,
By checking the site of Mabinogi, he lists the system requirements Windows 98 - XP.  It is not listed on the Windows 7 Compatibility Center.  You will need to contact Nexon to see if they are working on making it compatible with Windows 7.
You can uninstall and then right-click on the configuration file and set the compatibility to Windows XP, and then run it as administrator.  If this does not help then contact Nexon will be your best bet. Mike - Engineer Support Microsoft Answers

  • Problems of Windows Vista with paper Magentic desktop wallpaper. __

When Magentic is set randomly change desktop wallpaper, as soon as a few programs are open, the screen goes white between applications, & sometimes annihilate the taskbar altogether.
What I don't understand is why, with half of the memory & half the capacity of the hard drive, my old computer running Windows XP Pro, has no this problem.
Don't want to upgrade to Windows Vista, but the OS came with my new laptop.
Is there a chance that this problem will have been resolved in Windows 7.
So far, this isn't progress, & for people who also use their computer for a living, this kind of problem in what is supposed to be an updated operating system does not give one the feeling that Windows is no longer a platform that can be trusted with the exception of frivolous folk.

    Hi Buntyp,

Like you, I like so much the program Magentic but had the same problem. I have three children and each of them have a laptop. Two of them have Windows Vista and other Windows 7. I installed Magentic in each computer and had to uninstall the program because the screen turns white when used for a long time.

I suggest that uninstall you the program, use the desktop and screensaver provided by Windows and write a note to the developer team Magentic explaining your problem. I think it is a bug in the Magentic program that came out with the new OS (Vista and Windows 7). I hope that they solve the problem in the near future to use the program once more.

    Good luck

However, the requirements for the media upgrade is that you have an operating system already eligible such as Windows XP or Vista installed to use it. Since the Windows 7 end user license agreement.

15 UPDATES. To use upgrade software, you must first be licensed for the software that is eligible for the upgrade. After the upgrade, this agreement takes the place of the agreement for the software that you upgraded. After upgrade, you can no longer use the software that you upgraded.

So, if you are always denied, you will just have to reinstall Windows XP or Vista and let it do the verification of eligibility.
