  We bought the HP Office Pro 6830 a month ago and have had no trouble.  For the first time, I try to make a copy, probably the SIMPLEST function for this device to do!  I load the document, press on copy, select number of copies, hit enter and I get a sign of formidable yellow caution with the error 'problem scanner... '. Turn the printer off, then turn it on.  "If the problem persists, the scanner has is damaged and can not copy or scan ' mind you, we've never done a copy until today.  The printer prints very well of our laptops and iPad, even if it's FOREVER showing that it is offline!  Help, please... I just want to be able to copy and all the other features feature as HP claims should be available!

  One of our clients have 2 x HP Laserjet 3380 all in one printer/scanner.  The printers are connected locally to each pc via usb and then shared & recorded windows sbs R2 so that everyone can access.  Everyone can print without problem, but the scanner does not work.  I tried to reinstall the most recent drivers several times and have even installed a few scan fix softare to your Web site, but unfortunately no printer allow the use of scanners out there.

  Please can you tell me if there is a solution to this problem?

• Windows 7 problem scanner

  I just upgraded to a laptop Lenovo G550 running Windows 7 Professional. As the laptop does not have a parallel printer port, I bought a Logilink cable USB to parallel, D - SUB 25-pin ((UA0054) to connect the printer (HP Officejet R65 all in one).) Then, I downloaded the driver for the R65. I can print without problem but don't view the scanner integrated on my all-in-one that says Microsoft should be 'plug and play '.

  When I start to-> panel-> display devices and printers, it displays the R65 printer with a green check mark BUT it USB2.0 - Print appears with a yellow exclamation point and says he needs troubleshooting. It will not display the scanner. When I troubleshoot the UA0054 he can not find the problem.

  Please can someone tell me how to remove the marker troubleshooting and get recognized scanner? Do I need an extra driver?

  I think I know now what the problem is. It seems that the Logilink USB to parallel converter cable, D - SUB 25-pin ((UA0054) supports only the basic functions of parallel printer and not to other functions such as the scanner.) The only way to get the scanner to work will be to find a more sophisticated connection.

  I don't have the scanning software provided more but downloaded "qm__-win-2_5_0 - ea31_2.exe" on the Canon site. Tried, after I plugged the scanner, but it did not work.

  Is there a solution to my PC (Windows 7, 64-bit)?

  As the scanner recognizes when you use the paint but no Photoshop, you can try reinstalling Photoshop and check. If that isn't the problem, I recommend you contact the support of Photoshop.

  My 4180 does not work even with the "compatible" Epson Windows 7 driver. After installing and uninstalling the new pilot 3 times at the suggestion of Epson, the company recommended VueScan ($40) which does not work without the Epson driver.   Hi, im trying to connect a scanner usb (Fujitsu fi-6230). I installed ISIS and Twain driver (HP Compaq 8300 - Windows 7 x 86) host and the vdi (Windows7 x 86). The client is version 5.1 and I tried with PCoIP either with RDP (as far as I know do not support scan usb). The scanner is recognized by the host, but in the virtual is unrecognizable device not even as being unknown. There is no restriction for usb redirection in the display manager. I have uninstalled/installed Vmware USB Host controller, but did not work. Do I have to activate the GPO by default DC on RDP redirection? Can you please help, I don't know what is happening.

  Well thank you for the help. No upgrades have been made. It was a new image. A windows 7 OS has been installed and has been optimized according to best practices of vmware. After that, the appropriate vmware view agent has been installed. The same agent was installed in another image whose behaviour is normal.

  I have a HP Photosmart 2610 running on XP. It was working perfectly until fairly recently when stopped the scanner being recognized. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the software from the product without success. I've heard others lose this facility with this product in recent months.
