problems starting etc.

Hello

A few days ago my computer overheated and crashed. I thought nothing of it, because I knew a crash before and my computer started fine, after that happened. However, this time was different. It seems that I am able to navigate any menu in the start of my cmputer is not serious. Finally, every option I click on, all menus I followed, leads to the same black screen with a mobile cursor. I see messages on the screen that the problems with "3fo.

I made a boot disk that seemed to work at first until what I finally got the black screen of death. I checked the hard drive to make sure that nothing was loose and tried to gently get rid of any dust that had got into the inner workings of my laptop. None of my files are backed up, and I don't want to take the chance to do a hard reset and then unable to recover them.  My main problem is this black screen. I think that if I could pass just Hat I would be able to restore my computer to an earlier date.

It is not a safe mode without a hard disk and is probably the BIOS/diagnosis. This tells me that the hard drive is toast and blocking the computer to display normally. Then of course, you know how to get on the hard drive.

Here is the service manual for your model:

Manual

Your laptop came with a 640 GB 5400 RPM drive. You could install an SSD and run much faster, but that ones. I suggest at least 750 gig-1 TB 7200 RPM model like this:

http://www.Newegg.com/product/product.aspx?item=9SIA29P1N07579

I'll go out on a limb and say that it is Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit, since it is what came on it from the factory. You will need your key Code from the bottom of the laptop or inside the battery compartment. You can download a Windows 7 Home Premum 64 bit here disk .iso image:

http://MSFT.digitalrivercontent.NET/win/X17-58997.ISO

This is a download to 3.3 gig so takes awhile and you cannot just burn the file downloaded on a disk. It takes software .iso that is free to download and use creative. After the back if you need assistance here. This disk and your key Code and the drivers of this site we can get you running on a new hard drive clean.

Hi all. I am operating Windows Vista Home Premium Service Pack 1, 32-bit on an HP Pavilion dv6000.

My problems started about two months ago, when I installed several updates through Windows Update. I started having problems with my USB ports (even if these pilots were not being updated) and the computer was never able to close successfully. I tried to uninstall these updates, but that did not fix the questions I had. I have also installed software (AutoCAD 2007) at the same time and uninstalled, nothing helps.

Then my computer started to freeze after running for a few minutes. Time seems to vary from 5 minutes of good use for 1 hour, but I found that it works only because this so long, I only open a program or file and use it all the time (for example, reading a book in Adobe Acrobat format). If I try to open the program or additional files, go to control panel, etc. (read: if I do everything related to Windows Explorer) the computer crashes. I can still move my cursor but none of the windows meet, and I can't ctrl + alt + delete to enter the Task Manager (I get a black screen).

I was manually shut down my computer every time that happens and boot in SafeMode several times. Sometimes when I try to start safe mode it is hampering the crcdisk file and turns off. It happens not every time, however. Sometimes, when it starts it running the disk check, and there has been some index files that it has been deleted and orphaned files that it has been moved.

I tried to do a system restore to a point before the updates I've installed in October, but my computer has no points system, restore even if he says it was their creation before you install these updates.

The last problem is that when I go to Windows Update, it says that I have never checked for or downloaded the updates in the 15 months that I've had the computer - is not true, I, he lost at the time of all the record of it. So although I would like to provide you with wonderful with a record of what I've updated and people uninstalled, I can't because all this information is gone. In addition, I can't connect to the internet to try to check the news updates, because our internet service runs a USB modem, which is not communicating properly with my computer.

I hope someone has an idea of what's going on. I just can't understand the common point that all these questions arise, my technology skills are somewhat limited, so I hope for a relatively easy solution.

BTW, all my files were backed up on external drives.

I don't know Jack about computers, but I don't know that I went through almost exactly the same thing.  My pc was ok, then in a month or two, it took a nose dive.  something I did was too that much could not think of everything.  A friend told me to reset my bios to default settings and see what happens.  After having spent only 7 hours trying to teach myself on bios, I got stabbed in this area and it worked.  Everything is great runnng.  Now I can even right click on icons without crashing.

  • Why am I getting this pop-up box stating: there was a problem starting C:\Program Files (x 86) \...etc?

I get a popup box whenever I start my PC saying - there is a problem starting C:\Program Files(x86) \Conduit\CT3227976\plugins\TBVerifier.dll that the specified module could not be found.

Then I click OK to remove it and to be able to continue.

Please, what should I do to fix this?

    Thank you Mr. Ramesh Srinivasan.

But I solved the problem with my ccleaner, I was able to disable the file using my ccleaner and it was very easy.

    Hi kkle4,

You use the preinstalled version of Windows 7 in Toshiba? I can t find any information in your posting on OS :(

Otherwise I agree with Akuma and you should check the BIOS version and probably an update would be useful. Before you begin to update of the BIOS here are some useful tips:
-Close all running programs (also, antivirus, firewall, etc.)
-Make sure that you are logged on as an administrator
-Unzip all files from zip archive
-Connect the AC adapter before you can update the BIOS and make sure the battery is fully charged

  • Problem starting Equium L40

    Hello

I use F1 to start my Equium L40 every time I tun turn it on. It will then start ok but he forgot the time and date, as soon as I update time / date, the computer works perfectly I can access all my email etc accounts without having to put anything.

The problem started after the replacement of the battery because of that being almost completely dead. I noticed that the computer will not work on AC only without mounted battey but is still charging the battery ok. (if the adapter is ok)

I love the computer and do not really want to buy a new, but it is very frustrating and tedious when I turn it on.

Maybe there is a battery backup I can change to fix the problem?

    Any help would be appreciated?

    Hello

Laptop should also work without battery but connected to the power adapter
So I guess that your motherboard is affected in some way.

If the RTC battery (bios) is empty, the time and date in the BIOS menu would be reset to the default value. But in my opinion, this shouldn't be a problem to use the laptop with AC adapter.

However, the RTC battery can be charged to do that you need to connect the main battery and power adapter and the laptop must be turned on for a longer period of time (18-20 hours).

  • My iPad has been slow and unstable. What can I do if this is caused by a virus from the Internet because that is what I suspect. The problem started after a message like "scripts to run.

My iPad has been slow and unstable - it actually seems to be hung when I use it. Once I put it, a blue line with four faces (which forms a rectangle or square) appears on the display and moves as he tries to anticipate my next actions or touch on the scree. All started about four days ago while I was downloading of articles in google scholar. A message that reflects something as "run scripts" or "scripts to run" appeared just before the problem started. Please advise on what I can do.

Try resetting your device. This will not erase your data stored on that device.

    • Press and hold the sleep/wake button
    • Press and hold the Home button
    • Press and hold both buttons until the display turns off and on again with the Apple logo on the subject.

Alternatively, you can go to settings - general - reset - Reset all settings

If that doesn't work, restore your device to factory settings. Please note that this will delete the data on your device.

Take a look this Apple Support article: use iTunes to restore the iPhone, iPad or iPod to factory settings - Apple Support.

You don't want in this file.  Ads by Call Builder is malware that opens the ads on your computer.  If you encounter this error, then it is likely that you have an antivirus/antimalware program which was removed from your computer, but left the startup item.  More information on Call Builder, and how to remove can be found here.

To remove this item from your startup list, follow these steps:

    System (Windows 7) Configuration utility

    1. In the start search box, type MSCONFIG and press ENTER.
    2. Click the Startup tab.
    3. Uncheck the items you want to run at startup.
    4. When you have finished your selections, click OK.
    5. In the box that appears, click on restart to restart your computer.
