I use a mac pro 2x3GHz. I don't know what I did, but since a few days I was not able to play videos from web sites like youtube. Can you help me?

    Hello joebat,

It seems that some of your plugins (Shockwave Flash 10.1 r102) might be buggy or obsolete. To check for updates, please visit the plugincheck page. If this does not resolve the problem, try to start Firefox with the disabled modules and see if it helps at all. If so, delete the Shockwave Flash plugin and maybe reinstall or uninstall Firefox and do a new clean install.
If that is not yet solved the problem, try the following troubleshooting steps: http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/installation-problems-flash-player-mac.html

Thank you for your patience and please let me know how it goes.

The proxy settings must be defined on use web browser proxy settings, you can find the setting when you open the WMP and tab marks the Protocol HTTP and meadows configure network.

  • Videos from BBC site Web can be read in Firefox

Page Web of BBC loads without problems, but when you click on the link to play the video, the screen remains black. For all the videos they post on their news site. Have no problems with playing videos on other sites, commercial or news.

Thank you fancylive and dumdidadida. Problem solved. Flash 11 seems to be the solution. I went through the update of Mozilla plug-ins page and Add ons, and I've updated everything that wasn't. Some versions of Java 32 and 64-bit (not sure if they are related or not) that seem to have popped all my automatic downloads.

  • When I play videos from VIMEO, all I get is the image and no sound. They work fine on IE, but suddenly won't be on Firefox. With the help of Windows 8.1.

This just started today. (I believe that yesterday there was an 8.1 automatic Windows Update when I shutdown - don't know if that is related.) Anyway, when I click on a video VIMEO - video VIMEO ALL - everything I get is video (photo), but no sound.

If I go to the same link in Internet Explorer, the same VIMEO video and audio play perfectly.

Videos from other sites, Youtube, etc all work seamlessly in a browser.

    Simple solutions for this fix?

I use a desktop computer Dell XPS 8700 relatively new with Windows 8.1.

Nevermind - I just ran an update of Firefox, and that seems to fix the problem.

  • Firefox won't play videos from YouTube, Hulu, newer version of w/Flash etc..

Despite more Firefox and Flash directions, Firefox can't read videos from YouTube, Hulu, etc.. They not only never load or load and freeze a few seconds. Before I got the latest versions of Firefox and Flash, I did not have this problem. So there must be a problem in one or two of them. Since from different sites, I understand that it is a widespread problem, can Firefox fix this? This is a major gap in the latest version of Firefox.

  • Firefox 23.0.1 will not play videos from yahoo, running Windows 8

I tried all the troubleshooting and checked the other bandages and users with similar problems, but still no luck.

All plugins are up to date. Internet Explorer plays all these files without a problem, so I know it must be Firefox issue or bug.

For example, I can't play this video on Firefox, but it plays on IE

Problem solved! Download Firefox 24.0 Beta. All my videos from yahoo and BBC working.

  • No sound when playing video from iTunes on a Satellite M45

    Hello
After trying to play a video from iTunes on a Toshiba Satellite M45, the entire sound system is out. I think there is something wrong with the audio drivers or not can not be detected. I am new to the PC World and will appreciate any help in easy to understand terms. Are there destinations where I can download a new driver.

I need push madness seeping in. Thank you.

    Caden

    Hello

I think that you should first check device manager if there is no yellow exclamation next to the sound card.
If yes could help reinstalling the sound driver.

It seems that the laptop was designed for the American market. (because of the 5 at the end of the number)
So I think you should take a look at the Toshiba site us updates of pilot.

  • Download videos from youtube site.

I am trying to download videos from youtube on my husband's Web site (not still alive - when will be ready

videos on site!) but we can't get anywhere because of the HTML. I@m trying to convert text via "coffecup.

but am finding the process difficult to understand! (I'm still very green round the gills re IT is important!)

There must be a simple way to go about this?

Glancing again "coffecup', that I realized the HTML editor is a separate entity and must be purchased - duh!

I also tried using HTTrack. Complicated.

    Thanks for your reply.

    (1) all the same old HTML appeared on my Web page

    (2) I had to download an etc. for Babylon toolbar - which I'm having a devil of

    work to get rid of!

    (3) AND if you want all the help "Dave" in 2 days, you have to pay for it, the waiting may extend the MONTH and, possibly,

You can never get an answer to everything!

    (1) you must add this code to the basic html view. If coffeecup has one, ask on the forums for help:http://www.coffeecup.com/forums/

    (2) you have no need to do so, just follow the instructions is all it takes.

    (3) do not ask for help. Just follow the article.

I have Windows 7 Home Premium (64-bit), Internet Explorer 9 on a HP G60 laptop. I also have Flash Player 11.1.102.63. When I click on play on a facebook video, the video disappears and leaves a white spot. I tried MicrosoftFixit.IEAddon.Run.exe and MicrosoftFixit.Codec.Run.exe. They have not helped. Firefox is unable to view the videos on this site http://socialcam.com/ while others can browser (opera chrome 22, 33, that is to say 11).
I tried to restart with add - to disable, but no help.

Firefox uses the Flash Player, or maybe HTML5 Media Player?

You see the Shockwave Flash plugin context menu if you right-click?

If Flash is not used you can try to disable the HTML5 Media Player by setting these false prefs on the topic: config page.

    • Media.DirectShow.Enabled
