Problems with Flash Player and Firefox

Howdy-

I searched in vain for a solution to my problem. Here it is: I use Mozilla Firefox and I am unable to display Flash Player videos on the CBS News website. I went to Internet Explorer and Flash Player worked fine. The message in the lower bar stops at "connecting to ad.doubleclick.net.

This is the error message I get from Fire Fox:

Error: syntax error
Source file: http://www.cbsnews.com/common/vplayer4/php/xml.php?id=undefined
Row: 1 column: 1
Source code:
ERROR: Cannot use a value that is not defined as a reference to line 45 of content/data/cgi.cbs.com/perl/vplayer4/xml.pl. ^

I don't am not sure what I'm doing wrong - any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

It is a problem in the CBS php code, and not in Flash Player. You must report to CBS...

It happened in June and took all summer before this has been corrected and the flash drive worked again.  I did no changes... the player has just started working again after an update.   I just downloaded the latest update yesterday, and the flash player does not yet work on Firefox.  No symbol, just load the page and sits there Virgin.  It's also affecting the games on facebook, videos on youtube and online a site of homework for my class.  Still in the works for google email, but don't really know what he uses as it still works after that flash has crashed... and because of some flash games, flash player crashes a lot.

  • Help, we are going to have problems with Flash Player

    Hello.

Until yesterday, we had flash player and it worked normally.  Yesterday when we went on IE8 we had no it longer. Me and my mun tried to download flash player for Windows XP on Internet Explorer again.  Uncheck us the box saying to add a google toolbar, which is optional. We click on the button download at the bottom of the page and on the page download a blue box is supposed to come involving ActiveX.  Page comes with the blue box but then the page goes off and a new page coming soon with a cross in a red circle and next to him, he says "Internet Explorer has closed this Web page to help protect your computer" "a defective or malicious module caused Internet Explorer close this webpage. .  Below this happens with a list of options:

    • Go to the homepage
    • Try to return to Adobe.com
    • More information

We tried clicking on "Try to return to Adobe.com" several times and repeat the same process, but the same thing happens again.

We do not know what to do without Flash Player, there are a limited number of things we can do. We tried to change some of our settings, but still no luck.  We're going round and round in circles.

Hello, sorry you have problems. I would like that you go to this site to test Adobe with IE8. You see the animation, and what version of Flash Player do you have?

If you are using another browser, try also with her.

You are the administrator and you use this account? It is necessary when installing Flash Player.

After that, you can download the uninstaller and save it to your desktop:

    http://kb2.Adobe.com/CPS/141/tn_14157.html

Then, download and SAVE the installer for Internet Explorer on your desktop:

    http://fpdownload.Macromedia.com/Get/flashplayer/Current/Install_flash_player_ax.exe

For now just put these on your desktop, and then tested above and let me know.

    Also, what anti-virus did you?

    Thank you

  • Problems with Flash Player 11 and Flash Access 2.0

Hi, we saw some problems with the last Flash Player 11 RC (6 September 2011) and Flash Access 2.0. We do not realize that it is a RC, but we thought it would be useful to raise this issue anyway.

When contacting the license server that Flash Player 11 made a request to the url/getServerVersion/v3, since this end point is not implemented at the request and the license acquisition failed. Endpoint getServerVersion appears to be introduced with Flash Access 3.0 and not something we can implement in our current configuration with Flash Access 2.0. Flash Player 11 will be compatible with Flash Access 2.0? If so, what to do, we do to solve this problem?

    Thank you

    Johan

Flash Player 11 sends getServerVersion demand to determine the features of the Flash Access License Server. If you run a server 2.0, it should return a HTTP 404 error, because it does not support this endpoint. The client understands that it communicates with a server Flash Access 2.0, and transmits the application accordingly. In other words, the fact that your server 2.0 does not support getServerVersion shouldn't the license acquisition failure.

Your server responds to the request of getServerVersion with a 404 error? After the request of getServerVersion arrives at your server, you should see another application for a license. In your server logs, you will see errors in the treatment of licence application?

Hi, I'm developing a slide show in flash (and php, JavaScript, XML).
I'm coding in AS2 and classes.
I use the class ExternalInterface to communicate between swf and html file.

The problem is that the slide show does not work in Opera browser.
It seems that it works very well, but after a few clicks, it stops responding.
No problem in IE and FF.
I search and search for a solution to this problem without success.

I put an example of slide show here:

  • A question of both parties about Flash player and Firefox plugin.

Things have gotten worse. I'm unable to reset Firefox because at the time when I go to tools > (etc.) reset Firefox, it crashes.

None of the Flash help I received from Adobe and Mozilla is useful.

Finally, I uninstalled Firefox completely and on a whim, thought I'd install Seamonkey. She runs... But will not play ANY Flash. The plug in case of accident, as soon as I try to access any Flash website.

I use Chrome without difficulty. I can use IE without difficulty. So, guess what? Firefox is out until someone can fix the problem. I am convinced that Firefox can't handle any software if Macromedia, Adobe, Shockwave Flash or any other part of it. This is totally unacceptable.

The way I see it, I need to go back to an older version of Firefox AND Flash player. Once I can do I think they work together because none of this happened until the most recent version has been installed.

Where can I find all the old versions of Firefox? And I will have difficulties in their installation.

Like I said before, I'm a long-time Firefox fan. It comes, he tries my patience just to make it work again when you people do an upgrade. The problem involves ALWAYS Flash form any.

  • Strange problem with flash player

Every time I open a Web site with a flash (Youtube, flash games), Firefox crashes. I tried to reinstall Firefox and flash player, but it does not solve this problem
    Sorry for my English

    See:

  • Problem with flash player?

Ive installed the flash, compatible player everything, as indicated in the other forum announcements and directions. Every Web site I'll still claims that I need to update my flash player. My system is windows 7 do not know if there are 64 or 32-bit. Ive tried the uninstall and reinstall and everything else I can think of. Any help would be appreciated.

My laptop Windows 8 (has not sat since Wednesday) ran an update to Flash Player (IE) this morning, so I guess there's a maybe last week. I use this laptop very well (I hate Windows 8) for updates are infrequent. I have a desktop computer that I keep updated three times a week and he "always up to date, but it is IE10, because I refuse to install IE11.»

Gaetan leprince in Redmond really did a number on their last "offering". The DELIBERATELY screwed up "channels for User-Agent" to make it harder (if possible at all) for Web sites to identify it. Some sites see "Gecko Webkit' (Firefox) and the rest may not know what it is about. Here's the problem with this... The pages may not recognize the browser, so they don't recognize any of the plugins like Flash Player. So far, Microsoft has made NO indication they have any plan to address it quickly, because they think it's a good idea.

Recommendation from Microsoft is to use compatibility view for the relevant pages and "pretend" you are using a different browser. Problem with that is it has been a success limited at best, and you will need to activate individually for EACH page that has problems.

I'm not big on "pretend" so I recommend you to use another browser.

    Firefox (from Mozilla)

    Opera (from opera)

    Safari (from Apple)

    Chrome (from Google)

NO one who will work where IE11 won't, with the Flash Player plug-in (for all other browsers), and Chrome doesn't have same because it has its own plugin Flash Player built in.

  • Ookla speed test, router, there is a problem with Flash Player

I use Dell laptop, running Windows 7, IE11 browsers with Chrome. The router I have is a Linksys AE6900, with built in functionality of Ookla speed test,.

who has recently stopped working. It comes to getting the error message:

FireShot Screen Capture #008 - Linksys Smart Wi-Fi - linksyssmartwifi_com_ui_1_0_99_161129_dynamic_home_html (640x303).jpgSo, I'm not sure if it's a close routerelp, or a Flash Player problem. Anyone

browser is used, both use the most recent version. Flash is automatically updated in Chrome, and the version of IE is 20.0.0.306. The thing that makes

I wonder if maybe it's the latest version of Flash is, after this started, I had to do a restore of the system image of a six-month-old system. Before that I just could not

update it worked until the Flash has been updated. Although the same test on both the site on the site from my ISP and Ookla continued to work throughout. I do not use

Active X filters, but I block third party cookies. That shouldn't make a difference on my router because it uses a secure connection, and basically my own IP address.

This is a wireless connection, but I'm also wireless when visiting other teams as well. Oh, I also tried to reinstall Flash and so the router software.

I could try to install a version archived Flash, even though I'm bit of a stickler on security. Then, someone has suggestions of troubleshooting, which can

help refine it? Or should I wait for when the next version comes out and see if it works then? Thanks to the one who fixed the time to read this long question.

Looks like you have probably installed Flash, but the Web page is not detect Flash Player.  It doesn't really surprise me to IE11, but it is hardly surprising for Chrome.  My guess is that Chrome is blocking an approach using the router for security reasons guys.

You use an adblocker or the plugin anti-tracking?  If so, you could try to disable them temporarily.  Something that blocks Flash or JavaScript arbitrarily may cause this.

If you have not installed an update of the firmware on your router for a while, I would start there.  Linksys may have fixed on their end.  Otherwise, you might be out of luck.  The landscape of security requires that we (like browser vendors and the Flash) move to a more strict set security policies, web technologies, and which does not always leave room for backward compatibility.

While we could spend time trying to identify the root causes of the problem, it is cooked to your router, so is the only way to fix is via a Linksys firmware update.  If it is not fixed in the latest firmware, it's probably easier to just give her to use http://www.speedtest.net/ directly... and if it works, you have a pretty decent confirmation that Flash behaves as expected.

  • Problems with Flash Player

About 2 weeks ago I started having problems with the CBBC iplayer (for my girl not me honest)

He told me to download Flash player. I followed this link, downloaded and everything seems OK. However, I still get the same message.

I tried different download options, save, run, save, run, and save and I seem to have the same problem.

As advised by a Web page, I went into settings > manage add-ons > toolbars and extensions > Shockwave poster as installed and activated

I tried the following Web site and I am told that it is not installed.

    Any suggestions gratefully received

    Hello Garima,

Google Chrome uses a different type of plugin that Firefox. Google Chrome embeds Flash Player in the browser if you do not have to install separately.  Using Firefox, go to https://get.adobe.com/flashplayer to download the installer for Firefox.

  • Download problems with Flash player

Problems with the installation of the latest version of Flash Player V15.0.0.189.  I use version 10.10 Mac with Safari version 8.0.    Installation is at 50% and indicates the download is finished, then it will

for 75% of the installation, and then gives an error message: cannot proceed with the installation.  I had to go hrs 2 1/2 across all elements of resolution of problems including an uninstall of the old version of

flash player now, I don't have any flash player.  This is not the first time I ran in this problem and gave up with to complete the download.  by removing the old flash player I am now unable to use a number of my applications.  It is high time that adobe provides its users with technical support.  I hope that someone out there has a solution to my problem, because I don't expect Adobe to help.   I've been a user of Adobe products for many years with illustrator, photoshop, acrobat pro and the user of the reader and flash player.  At this point, I'm not a happy camper with Adobe.

  • Copy/paste problems with Flash Player 10?

Are there know issues (in different versions of Flash player 10 for Macintosh) where to paste the text in text fields? I am paste text of documents in standard text and web pages... when I paste in normal text in one of my Flex apps, Flash Player 10 seems to strip all the line endings. Here is a description of the steps to reproduce:

      • copy text from a text editor
      • paste it into a text field in Flex
      • Copy the just pasted content (that is, select the text in the text field Flex, then copy)
      • paste into a text editor

Result: the text pasted in my text editor has more no carriage returns.

I also see that the field .text property contains only a single line of text loooong... Curiously however, it displays as multiple lines, no matter how wide I make the field.

The issue seems to be specific to Flash Player 10 Macintosh. There is no problem of copy/paste with my Flex in Flash Player 10 Windows application; There is no problem on Mac or Windows on Flash Player 9.

I wonder if it is a bug in Flash Player 10 Mac, or if there is some new text field property that must be configured to allow the Macintosh copy/paste. He knows installation problems that could cause this behavior?

I have Flash Player (debug) installed 10.0.12.36. PowerPC / Mac OS 10.4.11

The current version is 10.0.22.87, but I don't see a debug build for PowerPC Macintosh. I need an Intel Mac? Here is where I looked:

  • Problems with media player and Streaming Online & Essentials

I didn't know where to post this because it concerns problems reading media downloaded and all media and streaming online. In other words, any media. I have now found my problem with the problem and that's coming from MS Essentials and becomes very disruptive. Carefully One I've ever had this problem and it's probably because it was not a free service, however, since I installed essentials the problem has worsened. Also on one of my computers, the update will start just randomly and all but shuts down the system. Yet once, never happened with care. If this problem persists I will launch essentials to another more compatible antivirus protection system. Moreover, it happens with all other types of media also like Real Player and i Tunes so it is not exclusive to WMP.    All resolutions to this problem would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

  • problem with RH10, Zoomsearch and Firefox

We are having a problem with Robohelp 10, ZoomSearch and Firefox. Here's what happens:

Last year, we have successfully implemented research Zoom on a helpsystem merged on RoboHelp 9 (presentation of WebHelp) and search for Java. Everything worked as described in IE, Firefox and Chrome and wanted the new research.

This month, we have improved the Robohelp 10 full support system and followed the same steps to implement ZoomSearch on the published files. Everything works exactly as before with IE and Chrome, and the help of parent and child systems display fine in Firefox. All the good news.

However, when we click on the Zoom button of the project relative to using a Firefox browser, things stop working. The right poster frame momentarily "search for loading, please wait," followed by a blank page, and the browser goes into an infinite loop of 'connection '.  In other words, it seems that something in the redirect of search_options_redirect.htm (the file attached to the search button in the skin of the parent project) does not work using RH10 and Firefox, even if the same redirect works in IE, Chrome and Windows Explorer.

When we run Firebug in Firefox, Firebug shows the following error:

Error: Permission denied to access the property "whname".

    file:///C:/RTPONEDocumentation/OneHelp/generate/mergedProjects/RTPOneAdministrationUsersGu ide/whproxy.js

    Line 10

This error is repeated constantly. RTPOneAdministration is the main project for research.

I don't know enough about the js files to debug the problem, but I suspect there is something in version RH10 of this file that does not like FIrefox.  It seems that the RH9 whproxy.js version differs from the HR 10 whproxy.js.

Csomeone suggest how to solve this problem? I really want to say to our clients that they can no longer use search if they use Firefox.

Woo hoo! I think I solved the problem.

What intrigues me is that the solution is something that I had to enter my instructions merged help with RoboHelp 7 when Firefox 3.0.9 has caused a problem. Why he has only appeared in Rh10 is one of the mysteries of life.

Take a look at adding a redirect to the http://www.grainge.org/pages/authoring/merging_webhelp/merging_method_rh9.htm#5

Right now your parent project has a meta tag

    You must remove.

Just above the closing tag, and then add

Please, do not delete the credit, it is a condition of use.

    Then change thetag to read

It should only take a few minutes and after that, I think that you will find all works correctly in FF, IE and Chrome.

Please confirm that this works for you, and I will then change my instructions.

See www.grainge.org for creating tips and RoboHelp
