Problems with HDMI Port 3/4 on Toshiba 46xv733

HY everybody,

When I try to connect a device (PC, Xbox, or PS4) HDMI1 or HDMI2 (where everything is fine) for HDMI3 or HDMI4 I can't make them work properly. Resolution passes something a cable not only 30 Hz. When I try to change the resolution (on PC) the photo does not match the screen (for large or too small).

I searched throu the documentation and the Web but can't find info HDMI3/HDMI4 are different from HDMI1/HDMI2.

The TV is Toshiba 46xv733.

Any suggestion on how to solve this problem would be highly appreciated.

Thanks in advance

Hello

In [User Guide | http://www.toshiba-om.net/LCD/PDF/English/XV733-32374046-English.pdf] you can find some information that certain HDMI devices at the beginning may not work properly with your latest HDMI TV due to the adaptation of a new standard.

In this case you must unplug your HDMI cable first, and then try the two options settings. INSTAPORT content type and turn off.
You start HDMI source should work with your TV.

The HDMI 3 seems to be a little different from the HDMI 1 and 2.
3 HDMI supports digital and analog sound.
HDMI 1 / 2 / 4 supports digital audio ONLY.

The HDMI 3 must be used in order to receive sound from a PC connected (via HDMI to DVI cable).

First of all, thanks to all for trying to help me :)

Now let's make the problem: I bought this TV yesterday and I immediately connected on my PC (video card AMD R9 270 X) with an HDMI cable (the cable is Rev. 1.4 and less then 1,5 m).

The global definition is very good, but I have in fact 2 problems:
first of all, the colors are very saturated and can't do their natural even if the video card values.

Second, the text with fonts bit if it's not black is very blurry pixeled, very difficoult to read.

O Google searching I found similar problems for many people, but they have solved the problems, simply assign the HDMI PC input.

Unfortunately, they used Samsung or LG screens and there in my Toshiba is not the parameter to indicate the HDMI signal PC.

What can I do to use this device as a monitor in the right direction?

    Hello

First of all I must say that this device isn t 22L1334G Toshiba PC monitor but it s a TV that can be connected to the computer via the available RGB (VGA) port.

Thus, in case you want to connect a computer to this TV and want to use it as an external monitor, you should use the VGA port available

I must say that I had the same problems in the past with blurry fonts using the HDMI port.
I connected a device combined monitor/TV and connected my laptop to an external monitor s HDMI port.

Blurry fonts were really a pain using office applications, but I found a solution; my device supported an additional DVI port and I was able to connect my laptop to monitor cable HDMI-DVI.

My other monitor takes care of one other manufacturer supports additional parameters to change the sharpness of police so I can use the HDMI port.

  • Satellite X 200-problem resolution HDMI port

    Hello

    I have an X 200 - 1AA.
It comes with the graphics card 8700GT. I have Windows Vista Ultimate installed and the latest Toshiba drivers for this card. (NVIDIA has universal drivers for this card).

When I connect to the computer via HDMI to my Plasma Hitachi 37PD5200 screen, which can go with resolutions up to 1600 x 1200 max resolution I get is 1024 x 768.
I try to change the settings in the Nvidia Control Panel, but there is no custom settings for the HDMI port. The software detects the Hitachi monitor and says it is only capable of 480 p EDTV. And I can't change that.

If I connect via the VGA cable, works very well, with 1600 x 1200 resolutions. But the problem is that Toshiba HD-DVD player works only via the HDMI port.

If I connect a PS3, Xbox 360 or my player to DVD via HDMI, all devices to detect 1080i.

As someone had this problem before?
    Any ideas for me?

    Thanks in advance,

    See you soon,.

    Hello

Very strange, I know that the satellite X 200 series supports the standard HDMI V1.2 (up to 1080i). You can watch HD DVD movies on internal Toshiba laptop screen with a resolution of 1080i pixel and external TV Full HD with 1080 p resolution.

I m not 100% sure, but I think that this setting can be changed in the BIOS. Check it!

    Hi dude

  • How to control a Mac mini with HDMI ports fries and lightning? (The rest is ok)

Recently, a lightning strike fried video output (HDMI and lightning) ports on my Mac Mini end of 2012. As far as I know, the rest of the machine works fine. It's just blind. I can't have everyone working on this, but I don't want to throw a perfectly (well, almost perfectly) computer works.

If I can get a control over the Mac Mini for a few days, I could set up as a dedicated time Machine or maybe even an iTunes or media Server. How can I achieve this?

Configure the screen sharing on the Mac.

To do this, you must have another recent Mac.

You can start the problem Mac in target disk mode, connect the two Mac by FireWire or Thunderbolt, boot the Mac problem with button down T, boot the first Mac since the Mac HD problem and sharing Setup screen

    http://www.TechRadar.com/us/news/computing/Apple/how-to-use-screen-sharing-in-Ma c-os-x-1296285

Alternatively, you can take the drive out of the Mac problem and start another Mac that and configure sharing screen.

You can also get a USB video card and put in place by the target disk mode or by removing the similar disk for screen sharing

    Hello.

I have a Portege R930 (pt331a-01w001) running Windows 7. All about the laptop works as expected, however, when I connect the laptop on a screen high resolution (2560 x 1440) via the HDMI port, I get a blue screen of death.
Can I use the HDMI port to connect my 1080 p LCD TV and my monitor to work which is a lower resolution and it works well.

I tried several cables and different monitors of the same resolution.

    If anyone can help?

    Hello

Simply said: the laptop not breaks down using external monitor with a less than 2560 x 1440 resolution. Right?

    Find your laptop model.

  • Satellite C650 problem with USB ports

    Hello

I have a problem with my laptop, with my USB ports.

A few days ago, I plugged my mp3 to charge its battery. I did when system Windows began and after a few ports seconds has stopped working. They work for one to five minutes after starting my computer, but only after my laptop's turn off for a few hours at night for example.

They work fine and all of a sudden we hear the sound of a disconnected device and usb ports turns off. I tried many solutions but nothing worked. I removed all the USB ports in Device Manager.

I checked in the BIOS, but everything seems to be okay. I tried to disable the disconnection of usb ports to save energy, nothing. Tools that have been provided by Toshiba to check hardware see as usb ports work correctly. Only usbdview program sees as unknown device, I tried to uninstall it through this program but still nothing.

You have an idea, what could happen? Or if there is no possibility to fix without service visit?
    I would appreciate your help.

    Hello

Have you tested these ports USB plug a USB mouse or a USB keyboard?
    These devices work properly?

I don t think you need a visit to the service.
I think that it s just a software problem
Given that the USB ports are controlled by the chipset, I would recommend reinstalling/updating the chipset driver

The alternative is a bit drastic, I think about the recovery of the laptop...
It might be possible that the registry has been confused upward or some 3rd party software preinstalled on the laptop could affect the USB ports.

I remember that my USB ports do not work after installing iTunes.
I had to reinstall the operating system once more to get the USB port work even more funny is that I installed iTunes once more and USB worked correctly

  • Help with HDMI port not working not not Vixia HF M30

I have a Canon Vixia HF M30 camcorder I'm currently streams video via HDMI port but nothing appears.  I hooked the HDMI cable to an HDMI TV and a computer with a HDMI connection and no video is displayed.  It seems that HDMI port is damaged, unless we're not doing something right.  The manual seems to indicate that it is plug-and-play.  Any help would be appreciated!  Thank you!

Well, it turns out that the problem was the HDMI cable.  So far, using a 25 ft cable will not it works.  At least the ones I bought.  But a shorter cable works now.  So maybe I need to spend more money on a HDMI cable which is longer.  Thank you!

  • Serious cutting problem with HDMI HD output a7s

I am a filmmaker from THE base and possess an a7s & package Odyssey 7 q + recorder camera.

I just noticed a serious technical problem that must be addressed. When shooting video with the A7s, the component of luminance of the HD which are sent via HDMI signals are cut to 100IRE, no matter what profile picture gamma setting is chosen. I can see it in the waveform, the chrominance information is not cut exceed 100IRE. For example, when I turn the curve of gamma slog2, exposed blue sky just before clipping has kept above blue channel 100IRE, but more balanced information clip of signals (such as a piece of white paper).

This problem does not appear in the output HDMI 4 K or record XAVC-S internal. It is true both of these formats. It is specific to flow out of the HDMI port uncompressed HD video. I'm sure that it is a firmware issue.

This conclusion came after I noticed it during a shoot and have led to extensive testing. I would prefer a real difficulty as opposed to workaround, because it cut a stop of information from the latitude to highlight whenever I have to shoot 60 p or don't want to shoot 4 K.

Apparently, it's a problem with the recorder of Odyssey is not correctly interpret the sony exposure output scaling. Convergent Design is working on a fix to include with their next update of the firmware. I see this problem on Shogun I tested.

I have problems with window vista dell xps 420 machine, all USB ports are not recognized, unless the computer is restarted or rebooted. anyone has a suggestion.

    Hi Miguelsmith,

    1. When did you start to question?

    2. you remember to make changes to the computer recently?

You can uninstall and reinstall all USB device manager entries and check if it helps.

    a. Click Start and typedevmgmt.msc and then click OK. Device Manager opens.

    b. expand Bus USB controllers.

Note: You will need to scroll down to find this point.

    c. the first USB controller under Bus USB controllers right click and then click on uninstall to remove it.

    d. Repeat steps above for each controller USB is listed under Bus USB controllers.

    e. restart the computer. After the computer starts, Windows will automatically check for changes on the hardware and reinstall all USB controllers that you uninstalled.

    f. check the USB device to see if it works

    Hello:
I have a problem with two models of SLM2048.
I only as configured in these devices was 4 VLAN and link aggregation port between these devices.
I detect some Don t work ports (I connect to a workstation in the port and the Don t upward, but in the other port if upward)
Could be a hardware failure? or maybe the switch block these ports?
    Best regards

I'm not sure that I fully understand your port problems.  Is this a failure of single port or you have a problem of end-to-end between ports on two different switches?

  • Just bought Wndows Vista and having problems with the port for Palm 125

I just bought a Windows Vista-based computer and have problems with getting my 125 Palm to synchronize with the desktop computer.  I get an error message saying: "No available Com1" what should I do?

    Thank you

    Frustrated

Don't ask me the procedures step by step that I did, but I finally success!  I uninstalled Palm Desktop and started from scratch.  I unplugged the Hot Sync cradle by the USB port, then I installed Palm Desktop from my drive and then update Palm Desktop on the Palm for Palm M125 site.  It still does not, I manually added a port and manually changed to COM1.  I then pressed the Hot Sync button and in the Device Manager, a folder has become available "device named" with Palm Desktop as a subfolder.  It is always active, I updated my computer for Palm USB driver.  Miraculously it worked.  Thanks for your help, but as usual everything it needed, it was patience and trial and error to solve the problem, since it does not seem to be a quick fix related this topic.

  • Satellite P300-150 - problems with HDMI output

I recently reformatted my hard drive due to a nasty virus. I now put my old favourate XP Pro with service pack 3. Never had very well with Vista.
I managed to find almost all the drivers, I think I need, but the HDMI does not work and I can't seem to find the HDMI for XP/Vista Manager only. XP is too old to support HDMI?

Is their a fix or a piece of software that will lead the material in an XP environment?

    Hi markjj,

Normally you n t need a special driver for the HDMI connection. It is only important to install the driver from Toshiba Web site viewing. After that, you can use the HDMI connection and switch between monitors when you press FN + F5. It s the same procedure as in Vista or other operating systems.

So have you ever tried on XP HDMI connection?

Test and give us some information. If it doesn't we can try to solve this problem. :)

  • Problems with the port replicator USB 2.0 after installing Windows XP - SP2

    Hello world

I have a Satellite M30 742 with MS-Windows XP Professional installed. I plugged most of my external devices to him through a port replicator Toshiba USB 2.0. Everything seems to work fine until I installed Service Pack 2.

Therefore, starting my laptop computer is an adventure to recognize random port replicator: usually four USB ports are recognized, but the ports series and parallel, keyboard and mouse ports are ignored, with a message "unknown USB device".

Uninstalling and reinstalling, them or their drivers are a vain effort, since Windows keep ignoring them.

However, in other occasions, they are recognized without problems (even if windows insist on installing their drivers each time that it finds, even if I have already installed a large number of times).

Please, you have an idea to solve this problem * boring * problem?

Thank you very much in advance,
    Ricardo.

    Hello

what you might try is to reinstall the chipset driver because I think that the USB is connected to the chipset.

In my opinion the Windows upgrade had changed the pilot USB from Toshiba a MS a. So the Port Replicator is not recognized all the time.
