  Note the devices installed in the machine.  Use this information to download the latest version of the drivers and software for the manufacturer's Web site features (on another machine and store on an external support, I suppose, would be the only way for you to do.)

  Uninstall the software/drivers for network devices.  Turn it back on.  Even if pilots are found/installed automatically, manually update the drivers & software using the files you downloaded earlier.

  Open a command prompt and run the commands following one at a time (after each ENTRY) without leaving the part through if somehting started working...  Note all errors and post them here.

  Hey Spider! First of all welcome on the forum.

  I recommend to remove all ink cartridges, disconnect the USB cable from the computer that connects to the printer and then turn off the printer completely by unplugging the power cord. Then, restart your computer. Turn on the printer but leave that he disconnected from the computer. After that he ended his power over the cycle forward and reinsert the ink cartridges in the printer and make sure their seat correctly.

  After you have all the cartridges in the printer correctly, then connect it to the computer. See if that fixes the problem. If not post back with no results.

• Problem with the HP Photosmart Premium (c410a)!

  We just got this new printer for the office that I work in and it installed fine, but when I put a sheet of paper in it for the scanner, usually the "HP Solution Center" appears and I can customize the menu scan... but when I tried scanning something, the Solution Center has come, but it is completely empty. We tried to uninstall and reinstall the software and turning the printer and the computer on and outside, does not. The computer is Windows XP Professional.

• Photosmart Plus B210a will not print on the Windows XP computer, but works on the Windows 7 computer

  I just got a Photosmart Plus B210a printer. I was able to install it using the wireless for my Dell Dimension 3000 3 GHz computer with Windows XP 32-bit SP3. He will answer analysis, but it will NOT print, it doesn't matter what I do. I have a Netgear wireless router. I tried the Dell connected directly to the router using a USB of Netgear WG111v3 USB adapter and cable. No impression whatever the configuration.

  On the other hand, I was able to make the printer work with an Athlon II X 4 630 with Windows 7 Professional 64 bit AMD machine. Everything works independently to know if the machine is connected directly to the router Netgear or using the above USB adapter.

  How can I make work B210a with my Dell with Windows XP? Is this a problem XP because Windows 7 has worked perfectly, but Windows XP would only scan.

  Subsequently, I deleted all initially loaded B201a software. At the printer detects the network, then reloaded the software from the CD. The printer then worked fine. What a relief. Perhaps the problem I had previously was linked to my trying to use the USB port when the printer originally did not work.

  For two weeks now my HP Photosmart Plus B210a was wrong to behave. Until that time, I was a happy user, but since it says there is an error in the printer and that I should turn it works again.

  From your description, I suspect there is a problem with the firmware that may be irreparable. We can try a reset, but because the printer will not stay on very long main screen until the error appears that we are not able to access the menu of support, we need to reset.

  There are a growing number of messages in this forum and elsewhere in the internet with the steps to do a reset on different printers.  Reset to will sometimes fix problems, so resetting is not the issue.

  A few resets require you to enter key combinations to open special menus on your printer that you were supposed to never access.  These special menus are used by developers and staff support for debugging of problems, but they are not intended for inexperienced users and can have unexpected results.  A wrong button push and you might no longer have a printer, but rather an expensive paper weight.  On top of that, if you happen to the 'brick' the printer in this way, it is considered as customer induced damage and voids the warranty automatically. These resets are only intended to be distributed and used as a last resort and under the direct instruction of a representative of the HP technical support.   I have a photosmart 7520 affected by the following issues.

  Issue #1: randomly, all lights start flashing market and the screen reads the following:

  I can't find a move that throws this to happen.

  #2 problem: When the printer is turned on and slowed down, also at RANDOM times, the printer will "Ding" followed by the flashing light wireless. So what sounds like the cartridges are cleaned, then a sound like the charger spinning or the printhead full running followed from one side to the other, then ending with a "Ding" and then back to normal.

  When this happens, the wireless connection is disconnected and then reconnected. Also, this disables the "Scan to computer" function on all computers on the network and manually requires the reactivation of all.

  From what I can tell the printer restarts itself.

  It is plugged directly into the wall outlet, no surge protector.

  Technical support has already go through the stages of the print head, me up to the top of the chain and eventually replaced the printer with a new brand.

  THE NEW PRINTER STILL DOES THINGS AS PRECEDENT.

  This printer is connected wireless to router Netgear N900. My all current computers running Windows 7, all are on the same network and workgroup and all are running Mcafee Total Protection.

  If someone is or has experienced the same or similar problems, I could sure use help.

• Problems with the IP settings on XP pc wireless network

  I have (part time) a wireless network to recently set up. Router is connected to a pc windows 7, and there is a XP machine with a USB adapter as well. The PCs are turned on, and the XP shows a wireless connection with a 'very good' signal. When I try to start IE on XP it will fail to connect. When I then run the diagnostic network connection died at around the point where the diagnosis is trying to reactivate the adapter. The diagnosis of output reports "error renew IP address: semaphore timeout has expired" and "default gateway 0.0.0.0." If I then run ipconfig/all there is absolutely NO output. This happened yesterday, so I manually reset following IP 299357 instructions and the same thing happened again. I did the reset again and rebooted the XP. The router indicates that it has recognized the XP and ipconfig/all on XP shows things different, including

  IP 192.168.2.6. subnet mask 255.255.255.0; gateway by default, dns server, and dhcp like 192.168.2.3 Server (the IP address of the router); DHCP and automatic configuration enabled. IP routing and WINS proxy are disabled.

  While I was typing the above router lost sight the XP box, although the box XP still reports a 'very good' signal and a connection permanent.

  So far, I had this network in place for 10 days, but could not use the connection to the outside of the PC XP on a day, which followed my re - configure the router to its IP address 192.168.2.3 rather than recommended in setting up such 192.168.2.1, because 192.168.2.3 was that the XP box trying to connect as. Two PCs have been turned off during the night and worked fine when started the next morning for the entire day. The next day that XP had a connection for long enough to reach the site where I was looking for updated printer drivers, and then he lost when I started to download the and nothing since.
