Problems with the internet connection Wi - Fi

I posted a few days ago that I recently switched internet providers, and since my laptop shows or says it is connected but when I click on something, it appears in the taskbar bottom right of the screen there is no internet connection, but still it always shows an internet connection.  I have the laptop configured to use the connection with a router that is installed on my main computer. There are no other problems with any of my other devices, other phones, tablets or smartphones.  It just seems to be this laptop.  Its a Vaio Sony, bought February 2012.  I tried what was suggested last time, go into the control panel and the activation of something.  Im not a tech person, please help.

Thank you

Christa,

Try to ping of some sites like bing, msn and see if there is a request has expired.

All you need to do is type 'ping www.bing.com' in the prompt without the quotes. See all lost packets.

If the problem persists, then try to create a new network connection by following the steps of

  • I have a problem with the internet connection frequently fall.

A strange thing that baffles me is when I go to one of the houses of my friend, my new laptop has the greatest difficulty using his wifi. My laptop has no problem using someone elses and none of the features of my friend has a problem with its wifi. Even my old laptop has no problem.

The internet will be always connected while at my friend's House, but he often will not load pages, going very slow if it charge anything and takes some time to re-establish the connection if it does not charge not all web pages. Its wifi is normally quite fast and this are speeds very abnormal and crashes, he's never experienced. Yet once again, only my new laptop knows this. It loses connection with the router, just with the internet. You will see often Skype lose connection and may stay connected for 1 to 10 seconds before it shuts down again.

have tried to reinstall the wireless drivers but no luck. Reset the driver does nothing. Restarting the laptop does not help. Restart the router does nothing. Removing the router of my set up and you reconnect to it does nothing. Any help with this problem would be highly appreciated!

  • Problems with the internet connection. TCP/IPv6

    Hello
For almost 3 months now this problem has occurred and must still be resolved. So I hope that someone of you can help me. I apologize if messages similar to this has already been created, I couldn't find that helped.
Ms, I have updated in fiber optic and changed my router. Everything worked smoothly for a day. My computer is wireless as it is located far from the router. He tries to connect, but say "restricted access". My router will restart literally itself then it will repeat on and on. My internet provider told me to uncheck the box where it says Internet Protocol Version 6 TCP/IPv6. Which it works fine now. One thing I noticed, is that after this, I can't play any of my games. For example, Dota 2. Everything works fine until I'm loading to connect in a match where he finishes loading but does not join in the actual game itself. It goes the same for left 4 dead 2. NAT packets are flowing only in 1 direction... an example would be less than.... I have very little experience in this area and I hope you can help me with this because waiting for responses from technician to my router takes a long time and not going anywhere at the moment.

  • Problem with the Internet connection using IE7 and Windows Vista

    Hi all

I don't know if I'm in the right forum, but I need someone, help please...

I just bought a new XPS420 with Windows Vista Home Premium and IE7 already installed.  The 2-3 days, internet worked very well.  Now, whenever I open IE7, I get a message on the connection not found or something like that.  I did some research and some forums suggest to reset IE7 using Tools/Internet Options / Advanced.  It worked... but only temporarily.   After that I turned off my computer and turned back on later in the day, open to the top of IE7, it does not work yet.  If I turn off the modem, it does not.  If I do a reset, as shown above, it would work again.

I finally called AT & T Tech support, but they could not diagnose the problem.  While we were on the phone and try to open and close IE7, and that is, I logged.  Then to test, I turned off the computer and turned it back on and of course, internet Explorer did not work.  The AT & T guy me open system information to check the properties of the network and all said that "this device works correctly.   He also suggested to disable my anti-virus program (I have preinstalled MacAfee), which I was very reluctant to do. So before you disable MacAfee, I tried IE and it worked, so I was happy.  I closed the browser and open it again and it worked; turned off the computer and turned it back and the browser did not work.  I already lost count how many times I had to do that!   When I click on diagnose the problem, I got a message on xxx.xxx.x.xx DNS. do not answer, as the server ping the remote host, but does not got a response.  On hearing this, the representative said that it must have something to do with Vista and that perhaps the OS has not been installed correctly and he suggested that I contact the place where I bought my computer and ask them to reinstall.

He also asked me to install Firefox as an alternative.  When I did, it worked.  But IE7... at the time.  I could not afford to shut down my computer once again because I was already late to work, but I guess I'll find out later. But maybe I have to use Firefox if IE does not work.  I have not really tested who. Is the thing with Firefox, it is not compatible with our applications work as well as web pages, I am trying to access (I tried one before I left) a work t look the same and difficult to navigate. And it shows "protect on" on the lower right of the browser that performs the same way, he shows up on IE.

Sorry for the long post, but I also need to evacuate.  The resolution could really be as simple as turn off the anti-virus?  But then, how to get us protected?

Help, please!  I'm so desperate for a solution.  My mother also uses this computer to access its work files.

    Thank you
    Remms

    Hello

Were there any changes (hardware or software) to the computer before the show?

Perform the check and the boot if the problem persists.

To help resolve the error and other messages, you can start Windows XP, Vista or Windows 7 by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot". A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

Note: Follow step 7 to reset the computer to start as usual after the boot process.

    Hope that helps.
  • Problems with our internet connection

Hello, I have a all in one HP touchsmart PC (running windows 7), and he has problems with our internet connection. I dot know if it is in the right section, but this seems to be the best in the class.

The rest of my house to connect to our router fine (iphone, iPad, computer laptop) except this PC. I CAN connect to the router, but 5 minutes or later, he has a X red on the connection and said "the settings saved on this computer do not match the requirements for the network" I looked everywhere online for this, but it remains stubbornly disconnects every time.

I tried to delete the network and try again, but he still has a red X and the message more each time. I tried to connect and Ethernet cable, still no luck. I am very desperate to solve this problem, because it's what I use for games. Can someone help me please? It would mean the world to me if someone could help me solve this problem.

If you don't mind keeping this Ethernet cable connected, you might have a solid connection if you come to turn off the wifi connection completely and rely only on the cable.

    Here's how:

    1. Press on + R to display the run box, type ncpa.cpl , and then press OK.
    2. Right click on the wireless network connection and choose disable.

That's all.  You can always reactivate if you wish.

  • Problem with the network connection Wireless since installation of win 7.

I ve just installed Windows 7 last week and no problems until yesterday when all of a sudden my laptop can´t to connect to my wireless network... Strange because my Iphone can't, so it seems like there is no problem with the network.
And the funny part is that when it detects one network different, other than mine, it connects and works very well!

I ve tried unplugging the laptop and Wi - Fi connection, but it just says that it can´t to connect to the network... He finds it, but when I click on connect it says only: No..

    What to do?

If the problem persists then I suggest you to reset the network adapter settings. Then follow the steps below

To reset the stack TCP/IP go to this article and either click on "Fix it for me" or follow the instructions to fix it yourself:

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/299357

    Disable the IP helpdesk:

    2. scroll down to the IP assistance service, right-click on it and select Properties

    3. in the drop-down list box that says "Automatic" or "Manual", set it to disabled and then click 'apply '.

    4. then click on "Stop" to stop the service from running in the current session

    5. click on OK to exit the dialog box

    Disable IPv6:

Try to uninstall IPv6 on all interfaces, the removal of virtual cards of IPv6 and reset the TCP/IP stack. To remove the IPv6, go to the properties for each network adapter, and deselect the check box next to the Protocol "Internet Protocol version 6 (TCP/IPv6), which will turn off, or select it and click on uninstall, which withdraw power off the computer.» Then go into Device Manager and remove any 4to6 adapters, adapters miniport WUN or tunnel adapters.

NOTE: You should do this for each network connection.

Important: This section, method, or task contains steps that tell you how to modify the registry. However, serious problems can occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Therefore, make sure that you proceed with caution. For added protection, back up the registry before you edit it. Then you can restore the registry if a problem occurs. For more information about how to back up and restore the registry, click on the number below to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:

(How to back up and restore the registry in Windows)

Windows Vista cannot obtain an IP address from certain routers or some non-Microsoft DHCP servers

To resolve this issue, disable the DHCP BROADCAST flag in Windows Vista. To do this, follow these steps:

    1. Click Start, type regedit in the search box, and then click regedit in the list programs.

If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type your password, or click on continue.

    2. Locate and then click the following registry subkey:

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Tcpip\Parameters\Interfaces\ {GUID}

    3. in this registry path, click the (GUID) subkey that corresponds to the network adapter that is connected to the network.

    4. on the Edit menu, point to new, and then click DWORD (32-bit) value.

    5. in the new area #1, type DhcpConnEnableBcastFlagToggle and press ENTER.

6 right-click DhcpConnEnableBcastFlagToggle, then click on modify.

    7. in the value data box, type 1 and then click OK.

    8. close the registry editor.

By setting this registry key to 1, Windows Vista's trying to get an IP address using the BROADCAST flag in DHCP Discover packets. If that fails, he will try to obtain an IP address without using the BROADCAST flag in DHCP Discover packets.

    Hope this information is useful.

Let me know if it worked.

Thank you, and in what concerns:
