  Last night automatic updates downloaded the latest updates for Windows 7.  I have professional, 32-bit.

  So I did a system restore to the last night before the update and everything is OK.

  If the update number is KB3097877, then reinstall the update KB should solve the problem. However, as you can not reach your office, I would first run auto repair with installation media and see if it helps you repair system files or not. For the execution of the task, I suggest you to try the steps below and see if it helps.

  Method 1

  When you use the recovery environment (Windows RE) to troubleshoot startup issues, first try the Startup Repair option in the System Recovery Options dialog box. If this does not resolve the problem, or if you have additional problems manually, use the Bootrec.exe tool.

  Because you cannot start the computer, you may need to create a bootable Windows installation media, and then do an auto repair, and if this does not help then you try to restore your computer to the previous date.

  Note: When you use system restore to restore the computer to a previous state, the programs and updates that you have installed are removed.

  Method 2

  If the problem persists, try to rebuild the BCD by using the Bootrec.exe tool. To run the Bootrec.exe tool, you must start Windows recovery environment (Windows RE) . To do this, follow these steps:

  1. Place the Windows 7 installation disc in the disc drive, and then start the computer.
  2. Press a key when you are prompted. Select a language, a time, a currency, a keyboard or an input method, and then click Next.
  3. Click repair your computer.
  4. Click the operating system you want to repair, and then click Next.
  5. In the System Recovery Options dialog box, click command prompt.
  6. Type Bootrec.exe, and then press ENTER.

  If you are able to reach the office, and then try to Uninstall then reinstall the KB3097877 update and check if it helps resolve the issue permanently.

  Microsoft gives sometimes you updates for the 3rd party hardware: graphics, network cards, etc.

  You should only get the latest drivers for them to real hardware manufacturer's website, as Microsoft normally does nor those have the most recent drivers available as Microsoft relies of the 3rd party hardware Manufactuer to provide.

  But unfortunately, the only way to know which is the update of the problem is to install them one by one, until you find the 'wrong' for your installation.

  You can do a system restore to get back until it has been installed (which is NOT the best way to remove an update) or follow this method:

  Updated my ID and PS and neither works now.  I had to go back to the CS6 and just to get the completed files.  I pay the monthly fee for software that do not work. Have uninstalled, restarted, yadayadayada without success. Now I'm afraid to do the update on my other system.  Will try to set aside a large part of the helpdesk access time. Very frustrating.

  Just updated Flash player.26 a couple of days and have had major problems. On the one hand, Myspace videos is very hashed and videos Youtube only play sounds in Firefox (browser is 32-bit). Tried to reinstall Flash Player but not good, also tried different browsers, but still no difference. I'm currently under Windows 7 64-bit. In any case to solve these problems? • Anyone having problems with the last update InDesign?

  It began on the evening of Thursday, December 16. I was working on some provisions notecard and after export to PDF and try to put the page put in another PDF file, size and dimensions of the page was not recognized.   A bit drastic, but do a system restore to the closest point * before * you have installed version 90124 update of Flash Player. If the system restore successfully completes, start Safe Mode and do a restore of the y using the Cmd prompt by typing rstrui.exe
  
  It worked for me - now all my Flash web content and stream work perfectly well.

  May 14, last night I had several (automatically) downloaded windows update

  Today, I was unable to boot my computer with Windows - tried the disk check, start checks etc, and eventually had to use System Restore (for help before the critical update to restore).

  Perfection, everything works, but knowing that windows will attempt to redo an automatic update, tried to check online - no one seemed to have a problem and (naivly) thinking I could always do another restore of the system, I rebooted again.

  Same thing worse. Could not do a sys restore either just before restarting or last night. Chose a date earlier (last week) but then lost the USB drivers and pilots display. Downloaded updated but refuses to let my AMD driver install Windows I have a very unpleasant screen... and I must now stop the installation of this update "critical."

  Would appreciate advice how do my installed display driver or whether anyone else has problems following this update
