ProBook 430: Synaptics imprint wbf stop working if I restart the pc, while it works if I stop and turn

With the pc starts and fully functional, the installed fingerprint reader work corretly. If I stop the laptop and I reboot, it still works and I can unlock / connection using the fingerprint. If I reboot manually or if the system restarts for example because updates are installed, the fingerprint stop working. So I need to reinstall the driver using the feature "repair driver."

I just got a new Inspiron 1545 computer 2 weeks ago and it works fine but I got a problem for the last two days where my mouse will freeze after that I stopped it using the stop option. When my computer starts you can move the mouse, but after a few seconds, it freezes, and you can't move the mouse but the keyboard works. I try to restart the computer with the option to reboot from the start menu and when it starts up to the top of the mouse freezes still. No matter how many times I try to stop or restart properly mouse unlock not. It only works if I stopped it by pressing the power and then switch on again. Any ideas as to what I could do to fix this?

The sad truth is that the mouse freeze problem is back. I searched the forum for other solutions, but so far without success.

I am currently using MS Wireless Mobile Mouse 3500 and just to make sure that the problem is with the mouse, I inverted this mouse on my other laptop which works also on Windows 7. Mouse freeze problem is replicated, which never happened before for my other laptop.
Conclusion, until Microsoft is able to solve this problem, I opted for Logitech. I bought a Logitech M235 wireless mouse last night and keep your fingers crossed that the mouse freeze problem will disappear.
Life is too short to be stressed more mouse freeze problem.
  • HP Probook 430 G3: How to get 10 Activation key of the OS Windows DVD

    Hello

I bought a HP laptop that comes with preinstalled in Windows 7 and the ability to upgrade to Windows 10 pro. I am interested in downloading an Image of 10 Windows clean and perform complete reinstall using the USB. As far as I know these laptops store license keys in the BIOS, so the question is: How can I get the key, or will be the key automatically used by Windows during the installation process?

    Thanks in advance

I have already installed the new installation of Windows 10 and he asked no activation and active key automatically over the internet.

  • This morning update of Firefox has been downloaded but does not restart the laptop. He's trying to start and the lights on the keyboard. He continually tries to restart. The screen is blank. It was working fine until I clicked on restart.

PC IS A COMPAQ PRESARIO V6000 RUNNING WINDOWS XP

PC DOES NOT RESTART AFTER THE LAST FIREFOX DOWNLOAD THIS MORNING

The PC screen does not light and I think he's dead. It can be quite fortuitous, and there may be a hardware failure that he would have stopped working even without the download of firefox. I'll have to consider Repair shop and see if anything can be saved on the hard disk.

    Thanks anyway

  • Stop and restart the cssd on all cluster nodes

    Hello

Release our system to operate under linux Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server 5.3 (Tikanga) 2.6.18 - 128.1.1.el5
Our ASM is 11.1.0.7.0 block of POWER 2
Only ASM is clustered. Databases are not.
    2 cluster nodes (Clusterware 11.1.0.7.0)

    I have two questions:
    1. we need to stop and start the cssd (crsctl stop crs, crsctl start crs) on both our 2 nodes of clusters.
In our test group, I stopped first the ASM and dbs all running on 2 nodes
Then I got arrested and restarded the cssd on the first node, and then on the second node. What is the good order or procedure?
I noticed after the cssd (crsctl stop crs) stopped the process "/ bin/sh /etc/init.d/init.cssd fatal" was always present. I waited for 30 seconds, but he was always there. Then I restarted the cssd (crsctl start crs) in any case. Why was the fatal process always there? It happened on both nodes. After you restart the cssd, I killed the "/ bin/sh /etc/init.d/init.cssd fatal" on both nodes. He was evidently reappear.

in the event that we want to restart both nodes of the cluster, should 2 - I start by disabling the crs before restart the cluster of 2 knots (crsctl disable crs), and then turn it back on after that 2 linux servers are back (crsctl enable crs)?

    Thank you, man

    Hello

So, for the closure of this thread, which is the appropriate procedure - for them stopping and restarting the cssd on the two cluster 2 node - among the two below:

1 - do a "crsctl stop Sir' and then 'crsct start crs' on the first node. Then do the same thing on the second node
    2. make a "Sir crsctl stop" on both nodes. Then do 'crsct start crs' on both nodes

I want to avoid is the two nodes start to restart because of the cssd.

You can run 'crsctl stop/start' at the same time on both nodes or so as you want (1 or 2), no problem.

If you start the clusterware on a first node and later the second node, just make sure that all services who were on the first node the second node have been properly resettled on the second node.

  • HP Probook 430 G1 won't work without charger

    Hello!

I have a HP Probook 430 G1, which is about 1.5 years old. All of a sudden it won't work without the charger plugged. If I leave the charger, it immediately stops and will not start until I plug it again.

A few days ago my computer would go hours without charging me.

My computer detects the battery and it's 97% charged.

Batterycheck HP said that my battery capasity of 42% of what it had when it was new.

What is the problem? Do I have to buy a new battery?

42% of what it was to have should be enough to make him stop not immediately after I unplug the charger.

It seems that the battery died then. IF you have a bad cell, but others are fully charged, reported its possible to get a full charge. You can't really test it properly with the adapter plugged.

IF Windows is record that the battery in the tool bar, can you draw everything plugged and it shows that the battery is out? IF Yes, then you know that the mobo circuitry does its job.

If I understand correctly, is not a good idea to fully charge a battery at 100%, nor let him down until the laptop shut. You can set this in your Bios does not load 100%.

You can do this if you get a new battery.

    Just my 2 cents.

    It will be useful.

  • ProBook 430 G2, touchpad pointer freezes randomly

    Product: Probook 430 G2

    System: WIN7 pro. 64 bit

    Dear HP

I bought a probook 2 weeks ago and the touchpad randomly freeze when I use my laptop

I tried the synaptics driver version 17.0.18.8, 18.1.8.1 and 18.1.15, all versions have the same problem

Sometimes the cursor freeze, sometimes the cursor moving around and out of control

Sometimes the touchpad detect I multitouch even when I'm only using one finger

is it possible a HW fault? or just a driver problem?

any suggestion to solve this problem?

    Thank you

Looks like a hardware problem, but you can try to use the touchpad in safe mode (to enter use key F8 safe mode) and check if it works fine, if you encounter the same problem in safe mode then it's a hardware problem and in this case I suggest you get the machine.

Click on "Bravo Star" icon on the left side so resolute.

  • ProBook 430 G2 - left trackpad button does not respond intermittently

I have a brand new ProBook. G2 430 (SKU # G6W35EA #ABB) with Windows 8.1, completely up to date. I find that every 10-15 minutes, the left button on the trackpad becomes unresponsive. The trackpad still moving the mouse pointer and the right button will continue to operate, but the left button does not react. This takes several minutes, perhaps 3-4. Then the left button it will start again to work as if nothing had happened. Because the button back to work, I suspect it's more likely to be a problem with the driver software or the Windows 8.1.

I have Synaptics TouchPad driver version 18.1.8.1, the current version of the driver.

    I have Windows 8.1 version 6.3.9600.

I have the HP M74 Bios version 1.03 version (07/07/2014)

    Anyone have any ideas?

I have a minor breakthrough! So, until now the best solution that we had found was close the lid and open it upwards and the button would start working again. Not very good when you are in the middle of something.

The new workaround is to do a tap two fingers on the touchpad and that seems to work. I tried now on 3-4 laptops with 100% success!

I don't know if it is a 'feature' that detects the Palm of your hand when you type or something. I have not found anything about this either on the driver (haven't looked very hard tbh).

  • HP ProBook 430 G3: USB recovery enough?

    Hello!

I have a HP ProBook 430 G3 with Windows 7. I think install Ubuntu LTS 16.04 and wipe the drive completely in the process, including the recovery partition. If I for some reason any later wanting to 'factory reset' laptop / reinstall Windows 7, a USB key with recovery media will be sufficient to insert and boot from?

My thoughts are to use "Create recovery media" in "HP Recovery Manager' to create the USB said. Is it enough to get the laptop to factory condition?

    Any help is appreciated!

    Hello:

Yes, it's normal procedure to recover the PC when there is no recovery partition, or you replace the hard drive.

You can also order HP recovery media if the recovery USB disk that you create does not work.

In the USA/Canada the number to dial is: 1-800-334-5144.

Have the serial number of the PC handy to give to the customer service rep.

If your laptop is still under warranty, HP can send you free of charge for you recovery disks, then you can just see if you can order a set for free while you can.

  • HP Probook 430 G1: Common validity of fingerprint driver for Windows 10

It is a solution. You will be able to use your fingerprint across Windows Hello without any HP software reader (I have not even try to use simplepass). I'm on Windows 10.

    Thanks for posting this...

The driver works for me on a 8570p here, although I had to foce it a little...

I've upgraded an install of Windows 7 (not original) to Windows 10 and decided to try the new build-in OS support sensor. On Win7 I didn't use it because you have to installed the HP tools and it was more bloating, so I'm comfortable with... of course the problem is to get the drivers... Windows seems to have installed a driver that is over 2 years old and seems not even compatible with the OS API footprint. I'm not entirely sure if Win10 is the same as using Win7, but in any case, updating the driver did not find a newer version which is compatible with the BONES of characteristic fingerprints.

I downloaded and installed the version that lucadebe posted (link removed for error in the link). (Note that the Setup program seems to disappear all of a sudden, it's normal I think, there is no that add the driver of windows, it does not actually update the device).

I rebooted, but unlike others that wasn't enough in my case. The reason was that the shift driver does not actually list the VFS491 as a compatible sensor...

So basically, I had 2 options:

    1. use the driver (from lenovo) published by the creator of the thread that is accredited as a Win10 compatible, but do not officially support my sensor.

    2. use an old (but still relatively recent; a few months old) driver (from lenovo) that supports my sensor, but is not certified as compatible Win10. There are several versions to choose from here, although not RECOGNIZED HP...

The first driver lists the new probe of VFS495 (mine is VFS491), so I thought I could force and see if it works, rather than use a somewhat older driver (Lenovo) are not not as compatible Win10.

I went into the Device Manager and open the properties for the biometric sensor. On the driver tab, I selected "Update driver"-> "Browse local dirvers"-> "Let Me Choose from a list of drivers for devices on my computer.

Then, because the new driver does not actually list my compatible sensor, I had to uncheck "Show compatible hardware".

If you use the provided HP driver it will by default have a driver selected in manufacturere "Validity Sensors, Inc.". They were acquired by Synaptics, so the new driver will be available under "Synaptics PS sensors". I installed in fact a number of more recent drivers, but one displayed above should be included amongst the "Synaptics PS (WBF) (PID = 003d) sensors '." Select it and click next to install...

After installing the new driver, open the Sign In options screen suddenly showed a header additional 'Windows Hello' with a button to add a fingerprint...

So far, works like a charm.

@PeerOne: I would like to get the driver from the HP site with the game of the right driver... IF HP has bothered actually updates driver. As is the case, the only recent drivers for the VFS491 are available through lenovo.  I installed the HP Softpaq Manager... While the application itself got an update for Win10, only "driver" always updated through it is the BIOS. Everything else is old...

I find it particularly disappointing because they are generic drivers provided by Synaptics... manufacturers have simply repackage the... but even that is too much effort, it would seem.

Also, considering windows 7 can switch itself to windows 10 in place, there will be many people who will need drivers compatible win10...

It has saddened my we rely on another manufacturer provide us drivers for HP products... Lenovo is always provide drivers for laptops that are older than mine, even drivers for newer operating systems...

Will be probably considered as when we need to replace our phones current...
