  I recently got a laptop 'HP Probook 4445 S. On the HP site, I read that the distro linux supported on this model is OpenSuse 11. I have an old DVD of OpenSuse (OpenSuse 11). But the OS is not installed when I try.

  She keeps just return to the screen with the original installation options. So I tried to find a latest version of OpenSuse 11 on their site, but I just get an option to download version 12. I tried in vain to find the version 11.

  My question is, can I install version 12.2 on my laptop? is it supported? If not, where can I find the version of OpenSuse 11?

  You would be better of tent a clean installation with OpenSuse 12. It has a more modern and longer included many drivers interface. There are Suse SLED 11 Linux drivers for your laptop on the web of HP support portal in the download section.  It should work, but you will be responsible for the search for drivers for it. Your best bet is to attend the OpenSuse forums for that.

  I overlooked the fact that you have installed W8.1 32-bit.

  HP does not support PC consumers for 32-bit operating systems.

  You can try the 32-bit driver Intel graphics from the link below.  The first file listed is the automatic installation file.

  Finally, I bit the bullet and upgraded my computer Windows 7 HP for Windows 10. None of the suggestions listed in the HP forums to be able to use another driver with Windows 10 has worked for me. Some got to the printer, but any suggestions that would get to the printer the printer print pages additional and acting as a print job was sent to the printer. Then I tried something different and it worked!

  Here are the steps I took to get my old HP Photosmart 7660 printer yet faithful to work properly with Windows 10.

  Since the page devices and printers in Control Panel...

  1) click on add a printer

  (2) click on the printer that I want isn't listed

  (3) select Add a local printer with manual settings

  (4) select use an existing port and change the option in USB001

  5) click the Windows Update button to update the list of drivers and printer available

  (6) Select manufacturer: Hewlett-Packard

  (7) select Printers: series HP Photosmart 7760

  (8) enter the name of the printer: HP Photosmart 7660

  It works for me with Windows 10 and the bonus is that the advanced options are more that you want or need. No thanks to HP for not providing a suggestion valid works to their customers who need a Windows 10 print driver to use with their old HP Photosmart 7660 printer.

  No, the drivers for the AMD based HP g7-computer 2275dx are not compatible with your intelligence installed HP g7-22155dx. Please see below for the instructions on installing Windows 7 and compatible drivers.

  HP does not recommend installing Windows 7 on a computer comes with Windows 8, and it will support the installation of Windows 7. HP doesn't provide drivers for Windows 7 and the appropriate drivers are not available for the hardware in the computer. In addition, Windows 7 can not take in charge some of the hardware or software designed for the computer.

  Make sure you create your media recovery HP or USB Flash Recovery discs before you edit or change anything.
