ProBook 4530 s: upgrade Probook 4530 s processors

Hi all

I have a B5N72UT Probook 4530 s age of 4 years which is very dated with his 2nd gen Core i5 processor to 2450 m. However, there is a good HDD of 750 GB. And the processors are removable, Ive double/triple checked.

I seek to speed up a bit and have been doing some research but still need some answers.

(1) it seems that almost all trade of parts of 4530 s models, is that true?

(2) if so, then can I replace the i5 - 2450 m 2-core with 4 - core i7-2630qm?

-L'i7-2630qm came in some models of 4530 s, I checked.

(3) then there are 2 RAM slots. HP says max RAM is 8 GB. While that Intel says i5 - 2450 m and i7-2630qm can handle 16GB. Can I go the road of 16 GB or am I stuck at 8 GB?

(4) if all other parts are interchangeable, so I guess I can shoot for the BluRay / DVD + RW drive other models right?

(5) Finally, as I can change the processor, can I go to a 3rd, 4th, 5th or 6th gen Core i5/i7 processor?

Sorry for all the questions. I did really want to buy a new laptop with all the specs I need, I would rather that I upgrade and get a lifetime of my Probook. The answers would be great.

Thank you

Here is the Service Manual:

Manual

I7-2670QM is highest CPU and it will fit in your motherboard.

Max RAM is 8 GB.

Yes, you can install a Blu - Ray player instead of the DVD recorder. You can even get a generic drive and just change the front plate and mounting hardware.

You are limited to the 2d gen Core processors.

If you want it to be faster, consider a SSD drive. Overall, this will be the best upgrade you can do. Post back if you need more help with it.

  • Update of HP probook 4530 s processor

    Hey,.
I want to upgrade the processor in my hp probook 4530 s intel i3 with intel core i7-3840qm Horn I can or can't do?

There is no BIOS update that adds support for the latest processors.

Please see the link I posted and read all the notes posted for many updates to the BIOS.

You will see that it is not all the notes state that none of releases added support for new processors.

If they did, this is where we could see them.

This means that only the Intel i series core processors listed in the service manual will work.

    Hello world. Can I upgrade my i3 cpu (4000 m) on HP ProBook 650 G1 (D9S33AV) HM87 chipset with the I7-4700MQ CPU 47W PDT?

In Bios Version: 01.22 has is added support for the Intel I7-4800QM processor (I think MQ).

    HP ProBook 640 G1, G1 645, 650 G1, and 655 G1 Notebook PC - Maintenance and Service Guide October 1, 2015 I rely for Intel™ Core® i7-4802MQ 2.70 GHz processor (FSB 1600 MHz, 6: 0 - MB L3 cache, quad core, 47 w. I can't find any information on this model of cpu.

It is possible 47W TDP CPU work on this model?

    Thank you.

I realize this thread is a few days old, but I thought I would chime. I have a 650 G1 which is originally with an i5 - 4200M and I could upgrade for the i7-4700MQ. Make sure you use a good heat when dough swapping processors and everything will be fine. I use it as it notmally would be used and my time will no more than 60 c using AS5.

  • HP ProBook 4445 s processor and graphics card upgrade

    Hello

I need to have my CPU and graphics card upgraded to the requirements below please add link/s that will help me

    Processor
I need to improve my processor 1.90 GHz to 4 GHz (at least 2.66 GHz). Then please add a link/s to this processor/s that I can use to upgrade my laptop to 2.66 GHz at least, or reach 4 Ghz.

    Video card
I also need to improve my video card from the AMD Radeon HD 7640 G to a DirectX 11 with 2 GB of video ram (at least 1 GB of video ram). Please add link/s on what card video/s who reach the requirements I need.

    Thank you

    Here's the problem with that:

    AMD A6 - 4400M, Max 3,2 GHz / 2.7 - GHz Base, 1 MB of L2 cache, Dual-Core,.
    Graphic 35W: 7520G HD

    AMD - A8 4500 M, Max 2.8 GHz/1, 9-basis of GHz, 4 MB L2 cache, quadcore,.
    Graphic 35W: 7640G HD

    AMD - A4 - 4300M, 3.0 GHz maximum / 2.5 - GHz Base, 1 MB of L2 cache, double
    Core, graphic 35W: HD 7420 G

Above are your graphics options for laptop. If yours is 1.9 ghz it cannot the A8, which is the best CPU and GPU option available. The video is part of the processor. There is just no way for you to improve the graphics capabilities of this laptop. It may seem like the A-6 is better because it works to 2.7 ghz, but there only 2 hearts: you have 4. And the 7520 graphics are lower than what you have. That's what you try to do? There is not too many computers that reach 4 ghz, not to mention a laptop.

  • Toshiba Satellite U400-14Z upgrade to a faster processor - which is the most rapid possible?

    Hello.

I want to upgrade an old Toshiba Satellite U400-14Z (http://www.toshiba.eu/discontinued-p...lite-u400-14z/) a little by changing the CPU. Initially there is a processor Intel Core 2 Duo P8400 with FSB to 1066 MHz but I thought to put there P9700 or P9500. It seems that they are similar, specification is exactly, except the speed and the amount of memory cache level 2. The question is: would this work?
I also found CPU called T9900, which is the fastest of the family. However, T-line requires more power than the line P, 25W to 35W in comparison. Is it possible that she would work in this phone?
Maybe there's even some CPU more Rapids that would fit. Y at - it all? I'm looking for the maximum possible speed.
    Thank you for the answers.

I found Intel® Core 2 Extreme Processor QX9300 who might be compatible. It has 4 cores and a thermal power of 45W design, compared to P8400 of TDP 25W. I suspect that the cooling of this laptop is insufficient to be able to disperse the money.

You can really only processors to install HP offered on the same motherboard. The g6-1300 series offered no 3rd gen intel Core processors. only 2d gen.

    Here is the Manual:

Is it possible to upgrade the Satellite Pro A10 CPU? What processors are supported?

    Hello

Usually the CPU upgrade is not possible on laptops because of several reasons.
But as far as I know that this camera was supplied with three different processors:
    Intel Celeron P4 - M (Mobile) 2.0 GHz, 2.2 GHz and 2.4 GHz
Well, I put t know if the CPU was only connected or soldered onto the motherboard.

However, it s not advisable to change the CPU. It is possible that after CPU change the laptop overheating for example.

  • DM4-2165dx: is the upgrade of my possible processor?

Is there a possible way to upgrade my current "Intel (r) Core i3-2330 CPU @ 2.20 GHz (4 CPUs), ~2.2GHz" to an Intel i5 processor? And if I am able to upgrade my current Memory (RAM) get in anyway?

    AverageJoe2

Sorry, but even in situations where (1) upgrade processors can be used in a laptop computer, and (2) these processors can be purchased in the retail channel, this upgrade involves usually completely disassemble the laptop, including the removal of any solution of cooling for the processor - and that can often lead to damage support for the processor if not done correctly.

If you are not experienced to completely disassemble and reassemble a laptop, then I would strongly discouraged to try, there are a lot of delicate parts and connectors that are easily broken.

More - according to the manual Maintenance and maintenance for your PC, there already a processor i5 inside, and the only upgrade would be an i7: http://support.hp.com/us-en/product/HP-Pavilion-dm4-Entertainment-Notebook-PC-series/5145680/model/5171100/manuals

  • Laptop HP 2000: upgraded my computer laptop processor

I'm interested in upgrading my laptop cpu and im wondering the maximum GHz, I did research all night and I found nothing so far. For now its got a 1.3 GHz cpu and I would get at LEAST a 2 GHz if possible.

Well, you have the E-300 AMD processor. It is a portable Wal-Mart and was designed to be sold at a very attractive price.

You need to update or at least replace the motherboard to make any type of upgrade. Even the best option of AMD (with processor soldered to the motherboard) is not very powerful. You can put in a motherboard that would accept an Intel i5 processor, but that would be to buy a motherboard, processor and cooling fan, which are likely to cost more than the original selling price of the laptop. However, if you want to try to do that, we can help you.

    Here is the Manual:

    Manual

    It would be the motherboard:

For use only with models with an Intel Core i5 or i3 processor

Models with Windows 8, standard 685107-501

    Best processor:

    i5 - 3230 M 2.60 GHz processor 711903-001

    Fan and radiator:

For use only with the computer models equipped with an Intel processor 685086-001

All versions of the motherboard max out with 8 GB of RAM.

  • upgrading laptop HP 630 processor

Please what do I need to upgrade my laptop CPU current:

model LH359EA with pentium R processor P6200 2.13 GHz to an i3 or i5 processor.

Can I buy accessories of processor and install directly?

    Here is the Service Manual:

    Manual

The best processor you can install is an Intel Dual Core i5 - 2540 M 2.60 GHz (turbo SC until 3.30 GHz; 3.0-)
    MB L3 cache, 35 W)

Yes, it is a 'fast' replacement, and if you can follow the manual, you can open it and swap the processors.

This is the CPU on eBay:

    http://www.eBay.com/ITM/Intel-Core-i5-2540M-SR044-2-6GHz-CPU-3MB-5GT-s-PGA988-CPU0006-/151357531224?PT=CPUs&hash=item233d9ca458

It is not the best thing to do. I encourage you to consider an upgrade of RAM or SSD drive before you try to change a processor, but the bottom line is that it is possible and in your case, would probably produce a good speed improvement.

  • upgrade of e300 AMD processors

The 1.3 Ghz processor is a little on the slow side so I was wondering if I could just buy a faster processor and plug?

    Here are the specs.

    Thank you

Yes with a lot of pain and sadness. Why not just buy a SSD? Much easier to install and more expensive and it will make you think you double the speed of the processor. I'm a bit of a crusade for change of thought. Back in the day, to accelerate the process of a computer, you have thought in terms of memory and a faster processor. The bottleneck is now the hard drive 5400 RPM of old school. We can do this shot upward with the rest of the modern components with a SSD drive.

    BIOS system E.48

Well, I want to put a faster processor in it. I found different ones on Amazon.com, Newegg.com, just different sites. How can I find out what kind of CPU, I can put in my laptop? The kind of motherboard I have? Everything I have to my laptop into a portable 'Monster', on a 3.0 GHz computer to a 4.0 GHz cpu. I found i3 to i7 for about $ 100 to $ 200 per processor.
