  This old notebook was designed for Windows XP Home edition and it is certainly not compatible with Win7 so you will not be able to find Win7 drivers, Toshiba especially not specific tools and utilities.

  If you want to use the new operating system, I'm afraid, you need better and more recent material.

  I currently run a Sony BRAVIA and have other devices connected to it - Blu - Ray, Xbox.  It would be great to get a new monitor too and have enough connection to have all this always running as well as the mac.  I don't know if it's possible, because I don't know how the graphics cards these days above to connect to monitors.

  Help on that would be great.  I was able to get this old beast to keep improving in terms of storage and performance.  It is the missing piece of the puzzle for me.

• Automatically get new IP settings for the network adapter

  I have a home network with two computers Vista and I have a Vista laptop for work.  Where my work laptop is home it does not automatically connect to the internet, similarly if I want it.  When I go to network and sharing on laptop computer center it displays icons for the laptop, my home and internet network.  Threre is a X red between the network icon and the internet.  If I click on the red X a pop-up window indicates that Windows checks the problem.  Then a box will appear with several options, one if which is automatically "get new IP settings for the NIC 'Wireless Network Connection'.  When I click on a window pops up that says repair, and after a brief interval, she announced that the problem has been fixed, and it was fixed.

  How can I configure things so that she will do it automatically without this manual intervention.  There must be some way because I have never asked a password or permission to continue.

  If I turn off the laptop and then turn it back on a few moments later, the network connection is still there.  The problem occurs when I try again a few days later.

  Thanks for the reply.  I did it.

  I'm not sure it would fix the problem however, because the problem occurs after a day power off and power back up a few days later.  So presumably the power to the network adapter has been disable for power off intervals.

  Something happened tonight when I put under tension.  Asked me to confirm something on the network (unfortunately I can't remember what) and after that, I was connected to the internet - without having to go through the manual process described with my problem.  So maybe something has been reconfigured will correct the problem.   Our dv6 - 2173cl end is more the boot, the "freeze" while showing the wallpaper with the taskbar 'framework' as well as the Start button, the HP logo button and the Date/time.  Defective hard drives the check HP tools with 90772-50e656-xd0021(7? wrote down in a bit of a hurry, sorry)-6ou103 error code.  Since the reader would also not 'take' the restoration attepmts (so the HP tools) we thought that a new disc has been a given.  Fast forward...  Now with the new drive in and a new Win7 install (no recovery disk, yes we know) the facility does not accept the key from the sticker on the bottom of the case and Yes Win7 is Home Premium on old and new.  So now, what do we do to get active Windows?

  I found that if you enter the key during installation and enter the key during activation of this always accepts it. Always works for me when I do a clean install of Windows 7 on client computers.

  Your description is correct. The first interface is dedicated to network management ("management" selected in the drop-down menu in the probe Setup screen). Three interfaces are dedicated for monitoring vSwitches chosen to be controlled by this sensor in the sensor installation window.

  The problem is most likely an attempt to update a system malfunction prior it is probably a problem with your computer, not the El Capitan.

  Start by:

  Reset the PRAM and NVRAM on your Mac.

  MacIntel: Reset of the controller (SMC) system management

  Start in Safe Mode , and then re - start normally. It's slower that a normal start, so be patient.

  If you are unable to start;

  Reinstall El Capitan without erasing the drive

  Please make sure that you back up.

  1. Restart the computer. Immediately after that the chime hold down the command and R until the Utility Menu appears.
  2. Select disk utility, then click on the continue button.
  3. Select the withdrawal (usually Macintosh HD) entry of the volume in the list aside.
  4. Click first aid icon in the toolbar. Wait until the button is active, then click it.
  5. Quit disk utility and re-enter the Utility Menu.
  6. Select Reinstall OS X and click on the continue button.

  I think that WOW (World of Warcraft?) is not the most recent game and older drivers should also work for this.
