Produce shows Checker tool missing Windows Classic.theme?

After running the sfc/scannow SFC tool the journal indicates the Windows Classic.theme file is missing [where he has been under C:\Windows\Resources\Themes]...and unable to fix because of the file in the store is also corrupt... I don't know I don't know what that means other that I can't get an easy fix or automatic. I have had a long-standing problem of not being able to save a theme, any theme as a custom color wallpaper or a customized version of Windows Standard, etc.. Save it under... does not work as the dialog box remains open and my question is what it might be because the Windows Classic.theme file is missing in the folder resources Aero? If Yes, where can I copy the classic theme file? I tried quitting a little and the only place where I can find this file is in the MSDN Library, Tech and he treats the download as a "sample"... and I'm not sure of what would make a copy of a file for me? Thank you.

Download SP2 yet once, it is not the solution to the mounting system files.

It is a common problem when you perform a repair installation, as different levels of MS.

Read this note of General information, I did for the problem of SP2:

Looking for a difference in numbers/Service Pack levels.

If Service Packs came pre-installed on the operating system, there is no way to uninstall them.
You will need to swap the drive that you are using a later version that includes the missing Service Pack.

On your installed operating system Service Pack level cannot be greater than what is on the disk to upgrade.

Click Start > right click on computer > properties > system > it will tell you which SP you have installed.

"How to uninstall Windows Vista service packs"

If the installed OS has the disk with Service Pack 1 and Service Pack 2 > uninstall SP2 installed operating system > install the upgrade > reinstall SP2.

My laptop will also not me do a backup.

    Try these:
    METHOD 1:
Back up all the files on a USB Flash drive or an external hard drive and re - install Windows on the hard disk of laptop.
    -------------------------------------------------------------
    METHOD 2:

Try partitioning your hard drive and put your files there.

    1. Start menu search: 'drive '.
    2. click on create and format hard disk partitions
3 right-click the Local Disk (C) and select shrink.
    4. According to the size of the files, we could save, choose the size you want to reduce (1000 MB = 1 GB)
    5. right click on the new "unallocated space" and create the Partition. (Name it BACKUP or something)
    6. place all your important files on the new partition, and then, when you reinstall Windows, select the Local Disk (C)
DO NOT select the Partition you you saved on files.

  • My computer switches automatically back to Windows Classic theme.

All of a sudden, when I logout, the computer restores the Windows Classic theme. When I connect, I can change the theme to any topic I want, but it changes again in classic Windows anyway. Before doing a system restore, someone has an idea what is the problem?

    Hello

It may be another program interfering with the operating system that is the cause.

  • Changed to Windows Classic theme

I used Registry Mechanic to optimize the performance of my computer and suddenly, the theme changed to Windows Classic

I can not change anything to the Windows Vista theme, and the theme file is missed

    Are there solutions?

Click Start and type services.msc, and then press . Scroll down and locate the themes service and click on it. Then click on start or restart option in the left column. Once restarted, you should be able to select again the theme of Windows Vista in the control/customization panel.

  • How can I recover missing Windows Vista themes?

My operating system is vista Home premium, but I realized it lacked the themes except the classic windows theme. How can I get these themes in return?

There is no separate download for the themes that come with Vista.  If they are missing, the only way to recover is to do a repair/system upgrade using the Windows Vista Installation disc authentic (you own or that you can borrow from someone).  Here is the procedure: http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/88236-repair-install-vista.html.  Although this will not affect your data, settings or programs, you should always back up your data before you start just be on the safe side. You can have a lot of updates to re - install (including all you need to remove service packs).  If the version of the system came with SP1 or SP2 preinstalled and the disc is an earlier version, then you will need to make a record of slipstream as follows: http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/151606-vista-sp1-slipstream-installation-dvd.html.

There are many other themes Vista free available online that you can download and use instead if you don't want to do the repaiir/upgrade or if you do not have access to a facility genuine Windows Vista disc and therefore cannot make the repair/upgrade.  Perhaps alternatives theee will be sufficient.  Here's a search for free Vista themes you can check and see if they will satisfy you: http://www.bing.com/search?q=Free%20Vista%20themes&mkt=en-us&FORM=TOOLBR&DI=6244&CE=14.0&CM=SearchWeb.

    I hope this helps.

  • Windows 7 - themes and colors

I just wanted a simple windows basic theme (without the effects special aero) using the Windows 7 basic theme.  However, I don't really like the colors of pale blue windows, and I would also prefer to have a different color, or shadow, since the inactive windows active window.

Can I change the colors of theme, if I select a Windows aero theme, or if I select the Windows Classic theme.  However it does not seem possible to change colors using the non-aero, Windows basic theme.

Am I missing a setting here?  Find it me hard to believe that there is no provision to change the colors of the window in the basic theme.

    Any help would be appreciated.

  • How to restore the Windows XP theme?

I somehow lost the Windows XP theme and that you have only the available Windows Classic theme. How can I restore it?

Go to the following directory: c:\windows\Resources\Themes.

    The following files must exist:

    • Luna.Theme
    • Windows Classic.theme

In addition, a folder called Luna with subfolders.

These files exist? If so, double-click Luna.theme to open the display properties dialog box. Apply the theme.

Make sure that you run not Firefox mode full screen (press F11 or Fn + F11 to toggle; Mac: Command + SHIFT + F).

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/tools > Modules > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem.

    • Put yourself in the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/tools > Modules > appearance
    • Do NOT click on the reset button on the startup window Mode safe
  • My Vista theme, replaced by the classic theme of the Windows while it's self from one day to the next.

Last night, I used my computer and everything was fine. I used it up to this as 02:00, and everything was fine. When I got up at 8 this morning to get ready for work, I did my usual ritual (bathroom, breakfast, facebook, shower, leaves), and when I got to the part of facebook, I turned on my laptop and noticed he was in the classic view. I searched through every place I can think of (all settings for themes and personalization Control Panel) and found nothing. In particular, when I went to "Change theme" it only shows "Windows classic" as the only option. It bothers me because I hate the Windows Classic view. I mean, it does not affect the functionality of the computer, he looks really old and it's annoying that it cannot be corrected.

    Hello

The themes service may be having a problem and stopped, we will check:

    1. Windows key + R, in the Run dialog box type services.msc

    2. once in Services, find themes, double click it and make sure that it is set to Automatic and started. If this isn't the case, fix and start it.

    Kind regards

  • How to enable the interaction of the alt - tab mouse in the classic theme of Windows 7?

In the Aero theme, you can select the alt - tab application by mouse. In the classic theme, you can not...

Please do not start answer me wondering why not just use Aero already.

I didn't Power Toy did this, but they were parallel projects by programmers bored (literally), so the company never officially it will use in production code.

I just realized something however: If you just click on the thing you want to change anyway, why not simply click on the button in the taskbar? Just a random thought, although I suppose that if the program has more than one window/tab open, you then have to point-and - click.  Or you might disable combining the taskbar, but personally I don't like myself.
With performance improvements and reliability gained by Aero (as well as other features like live and other preview), I would say that if you are looking for a style of eye candy than simply disable transparency and see how it works for you.
@ jesuscheung - I think that it is possible to display a classic style using the DWM rendering engine, but since there is no default theme that looks like this, you can use StarDock WindowBlinds (or a similar application) who can apply skins.
