Product activation OEM Windows 7 64 Bit-

I recently bought an OEM Windows 7 Ultimate SP1 64-bit operating system, unfortunately I am unable to find a product key to perform the installation on the DVD itself or on the packaging. I wonder where to get the key code or how to activate windows?

I'm grateful for any advice!

Sarah

Generic OEM? or did you buy a Dell installation disk to reinstall the operating system on an existing Dell computer came with Windows 7?

If generic OEM, then he should have with a product key.

If a Dell OEM drive, you have no need to enter a product key, but if you are prompted for one, then you need to get the product key off the coast of the COA sticker on your computer.

I acquired a copy of Windows 7 from Dreamspark which includes 2 activation of windows 7 64-bit (and 32-bit, but I'm only using 64-bit). I have two computers that I use, but computers died a long time ago.  I replaced from this computer, but when I used the same product key I now get notifications that the product key has expired and cannot be enabled on the new computer.  Technically, I have 3 installs this key, but I did not use the first years since the computer installation is long dead.  Can I turn off this product not to be linked with my key so I can activate my current product key and I have my 2 computers both running windows 7 64 bit?

The best you can do is to reactivate by phone:

How to activate Windows 7 manually (activate by phone)

    1) click Start and in the search for box type: slui.exe 4

    (2) press the ENTER"" key.

    (3) select your "country" in the list.

  • New OEM Windows Ultimate 64 bit SP1. but can not activate.

    Salvation;

Have installed a Dell OEM W7 Ultimate 64-bit SP1 Version.   Here in Germany ANY OEM can be installed on ANY computer - regardless of manufacturing.  (law since 2000)  Activation failure.  Although the product key is correct - have checked with Keyfinder software - I get the message-"the product key you entered cannot be used to activate Windows on this computer.  The error code is 0 x C004C008 - checking out tells me that either the operating system has been installed on computers too or was reinstall on the same change computer - hardware computer - or transferred from another PC - NONE of these are correct in this instance.  The OS is new - has not been used - never been not installed on another machine - no material change - and not been reinstalled.

What is the solution?  I tried using command prompt - correctly - installed product key but also the same error after installation!

Could you link me to this law that allows the transfer of the OEM licenses?

  • Can I use the product key for Windows 7 32-bit to 64-bit?

Hi, I have a Toshiba L505-10V and the cds (2) original with Windows 7 32-bit prenium.

    I downloaded windows 7 64-bit http://www.techverse.net/download-windows-7-iso-x86-x64-microsofts-official-servers/ here prenium

I use the 32-bit key, but it says its not valid. Is it possible to work with the same key?

Also, I have download belarc to recoginise my 32-bit windows key and it shows me a different key which is based on my pc.

The series mentioned at the bottom of the device key does not work under Windows installed system costs.
This is an OEM key delivered to computer makers that Microsoft System with own computers.

Laptop Toshiba computers are already preinstalled with the Windows system, and this system is already activated. That is why the key isn t necessary.

  • Product key OEM Windows Vista Business on Precision 490

Just bought a Dell Precision 490. It comes with 32-bit Windows 7 HP... The product key for Windows 7 is on the case. With this key, there is a Microsoft Windows Vista Business OEM key. My first question is how do I know if it is a key of 32 or 64-bit of Windows Vista? Or can be used for either (it does not specify the key). My second question is how properly to reinstall Windows Vista. I noticed there are a lot of different people who sell different restart/reinstall/repair disk. Thank you.

Windows OEM product keys can be used to install either 32-bit or 64-bit.

You can ask Dell support (if in the United States, and after a "transfer of property") or use a disc from another system that corresponds to the version of that license is for (Home, Ultimate, etc.):

    support.Dell.com/.../backupcd_form

You can use Retail media, then activate by phone from Microsoft (not Dell) using your product key:

    en.Community.Dell.com/.../3317.2-3-Microsoft-Windows-Vista-Official-ISO-Download-Links-Digital-River.aspx

Just boot on the Windows DVD, delete all partitions that are shown to you, then call install... you will have to install drivers after Windows is installed, but you can ask that once Windows is on.

You must also determine if you have a RAID controller that requires special drivers during installation.  The 490 could use a PERC or SAS RAID 5 card.  You can check the box to see where the disks are wired to and/or check during POST to see if you have a CTRL-C or a prompt CTRL-R, while the loading devices.

  • Product activation message Windows and I can not get a c prompt

After that a recent installation reboot update, the following message appeared "Windows Product Activation - a problem has prevented Windows to check accurately the status of the license for this computer.  To keep your copy of Windows must be activated with Microsoft.  You want to activate windows now? Yes No ".

Whether I click Yes it could restart the computer in verification mode of the disc and when the screen finally appeared was so the new message

I tried to restart under different modes and seems the same screen.

Finally got a safe mode screen and the followin message appears "Windows has no start because the following file is missing or corrupt: \system32\hal.dll Please reinstall a copy of the above file" Note: I don't know how to get to a prompt c from here

I rebooted the computer with the professional disc of Microsoft Windows XP that came with the computer and may have to reboot from the CD, but here, I tried 2 options F2 which asks for a Microsoft disk recovery Application that when he uses the Microsoft disk I get a blue error screen "STOP: 0xF78D2524, Oxc0000034, Ox00000000, Ox00000000 ' and told me to run CHKDSK /F

If I just allow it to run the CD it goes back to the root of the windows error.

Please tell me how to get rid of this virus

  • Error in product activation key Windows 8 0xC0000022 / 0xC004F012 & more...

    Hello everyone.

I've been running Windows 8 for almost a year now.  Authentic, active, copy no problem whatsoever.  So after some personal problems with security, last week, I did a factory re install my Windows 8 X 64 system with high hopes.

All I get is the Windows Activation arise regularly, but when I try to activate Windows, error 0XC0000022 code appears. (PARAGRAPH 1).
Tried to activate by phone, but I do not have Installation ID slui 4 being listening off too.

Ran 'SLUI 3', product code entered, only to get "could not verify that key, then try another. (SS 2)

Even tried as mentioned, SLUI 4, enter "Denmark" and new 0XC0000022 (SS-3), then a window with no installation ID

So, after a lot of research and searching the Internet for a solution possible, I got to try some solutions without success.

I tried to launch a recommended cmd

    sfc/scannow

and this is what I have... online or not

So I tried the next best thing I knew 'The MGADiag tool' only to be again disappointed by this screen

and that's where he suddenly became chaotic, cause now, I got a new error then look up.

Apparently, this problem occurs when some files in the update of Windows are missing, even if the update is downloaded and extracted successfully.

"" So I quickly discovered a fix recommending'Troubleshooting Windows Update tool "fix Microsoft ' and tried, with a real outcome, for the first time since a started with that, a week ago. It looks like this

Here I am through, Yes! Finally and I keept going on with the recommended steps, which mentioned a 'Refresh your PC without your files' so I did, only to be disappointed again 2 hours later... by (SS1) error 0xC0000022

Without all the other tracks, so I started poking around in my control panel, just to be surprised by that too... What, my Windows is active, but not active? huh

When it clearly States in 'view details of activation' ' NOT AVAILABLE ' a click later

and yet once, click later on this page, I was tempted to look at the details "activation" that lead me to this screenshot for you guys

    Error code:

    0xC004F012

The software Licensing Service reported that the call failed because the value of the entry key was not found.

Now, this is where I get really confused, because now we have 3 error codes listed... and am honestly lose trust in all these solutions, but cela a seams to be the problem... It turns out that this error pops up when something is wrong with your 'Software Protection service' in Services.msc. So I checked out and Yes really enough...

Software protection service does not work! explains that I come back with all the other services are in effect, including the activation of Windows associated with those. So start it leaves are we going?

Access is denied? Hmm what a surprise. Pretty much identical to the previous error 0xC0000022. Which means normally is wrong with my permissions as access should not be denied... So I went to the next logical place... Properties to verify permissions and Yes, really everything is grey like this

AHA I got through and I found myself quickly sppsvc.exe file in my Windows dic. and changed all the permissions for FULL CONTROL. Only to return to the exact same small screens.

Now, here, I'm a week later, with a lot of knowledge, but no real results... really confused and embarrassed... So, I really hope that someone out there is smart enough to offer an adequate solution for this.

PLEASE DON ' T BOTHER IF YOUR JUST SOME MOD WITH A USELESS FANCY COPY PASTE TO THE SHOW... I NEED HELP, NOT A FANCY FILLERS.

OK, I don't usually answer and try to help, but as I spent so much time researching this issue after experiencing the same issue here, it will:

This solution worked for me on Windows 7, it has not been tested on Windows 8, but it worked for me after I have tried all the same steps that the poster original, nothing helps.

The problem is the Software Protection service, and is unable to start as you found it from the beginning.

Step 1. Open an administrative command prompt.

Step 2. Copy and paste the following command into your command prompt, and press to enter. This properly resets the permissions on the service:

    ICACLS % windir%\ServiceProfiles\NetworkService\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\SoftwareProtectionPlatform/Grant, "BUILTIN\Administrators: (OI) (CI) (F)" "NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM: (OI) (CI) (F)" ' NT Service\sppsvc: (OI) (CI)(R,W,D) "," NETWORK SERVICE: (OI) (CI) (F)»»»

Step 3. Open Windows Explorer and navigate to %windir%\System32

Step 4. Make sure you can see hidden and system files and folders.

Step 5. Delete all the files/folders with the following name (you can move them to a folder to archive instead of delete them if you want to be sure):

    7B296FB0-376B-497e-B012-9C450E1B7327-5P-0.C7483456-A289-439d-8115-601632D005A0

Step 6. In your Windows Explorer window, navigate to:

    %windir%\ServiceProfiles\NetworkService\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\SoftwareProtectionPlatform\

    Step 7. Tokens.dat and rename it tokens.bak

Step 8. Try to start the Software Protection service. It should start successfully today. If he does then restart the computer and try to activate Windows again.

Thanks to Craig Garland and Santosh Bennett for their positions on the Technet site on the Software Protection service which lead me to this response.

  • Can I use Windows 7 32 bit product key for Windows 7 64-bit?

    Can I do!

Yes, you can, as long as you use the same edition.

You will need to do a clean install, there is no place on the way to upgrade Windows 7 32 bit to 64 bit.

Using the disk of 64-bit Windows 7, install Windows 7 Windows Easy Transfer Utility from the DVD (to find it, simply navigate to x:\support\migwiz, "x:" is the name of your hard drive. (In this case, you will see a collection of files, the important"that you must search for and double-click is 'migsetup'.) run it and create a DAMP (Windows Easy Transfer file), if you have an external hard drive, you can access it later when you perform a clean install of Windows 7 64-bit disk so you can stored there.

Once you have done this, just do a clean install of Windows 7 64 bit disc. In Windows 7 64 bit disk, start Windows Easy Transfer, follow the wizard screen, tap on which is stored the WET file (external hard drive) and it will restore your personal files and settings. Reinstall the applications needed.

  • What happens if I install a new windows on a computer product key OEM windows laptop?

I bought a laptop in 2009 with Windows Vista Home Basic OEM on it (I still have the sticker of the portable product key).

This year, I bought a larger capacity HARD drive and installed on my laptop.

I thought it was the perfect time to upgrade to Windows 7, so I bought a DVD of Windows 7 Ultimate.

I installed Windows 7 Ultimate on my HDD new and used the new Windows 7 Ultimate DVD product key.

    My questions are,

What will happen to the product key Windows Vista Home Basic OEM?

If it is replaced with the new product key?

Is the OEM product key became invalid?

Now I use Windows Pro 10, as a free upgrade to Windows 7 Ultimate, so...

What my new Windows 10 Pro registered product key?

I know that since windows 8, the product key is installed on the BIOS (am I right?).

    then, how it actually works?

Thank you very much for the reply.

    Kind regards

    NIRWAN H

    Hello

No matter if you did a clean Windows 7 or updated installation to upgrade to windows 7 from Vista, this OEM Vista product key is blocked on this computer and cannot be transferred to another machine.

You can only use this key OEM of Vista to reinstall Vista on this particular machine and start over.

    Licensing rules (my words)

If the computer/laptop comes with the preinstalled Windows operating system (Dell, HP, Acer, etc.) or is licensed to OEM System Builders, that the product key that came with the computer/laptop is preinstalled OEM license and is not transferable.

OEM license/product key (systems of operating pre-installed on Dell, HP, etc.) and the license OEM System Builders are related to the first machine it is installed on and dies when machine who dies.

Only retail Operating System license that you buy and install yourself, are allowed to be transferred to another machine.

And retail licenses also can be installed on a machine at one time.

    @@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@

Rec would be the free upgrade to 10 7 as Vista never qualified for the free upgrade to 10.

The key/license Windows product to describe the operating system, Windows 7, Windows 8.1, etc. is absorbed by upgrading Windows 10 during the installation process and becomes an integral part of the active Windows 10 final installation.

The license qualifying operating system, either Windows 7 or Windows 8.1, etc. cannot be used anywhere else, or in a dual boot with Windows 10.

But there is no product key for your free upgrade to 10.

Hardware configuration you laptop is stored on Microsoft servers and how your machine will be recognized if you always want to reinstall 10.

Sorry, but there is no such thing as «Window7 Holiday Home Edition»  This is the ultimate. Home Basic or Home Premium.

He intervenes, it it is preinstalled on your laptop and the laptop died, the license to use, he died with him. It cannot be moved to another computer.

Preloaded is an OEM version and the biggest drawback of an OEM version (at least in the USA) is that its license it permanently binds to the computer first it is installed on. He can never legally be moved to another computer, sold, or given to outside (except with the original computer). If the computer dies or is stolen, your license dies with him.

My product on the label code has been scratched. Three letters are not clear. I can guess what they are. If I guess the product code wrong too many times during installation, Installer locked me out of the system? I guess it's faster to guess that the call to customer service to get a new code produced.

Try a bright light and a good magnifying glass.
