Product recovery is included Vista?

Hey, 2 simple questions

1. I understand that if I want to format my laptop (Satellite P200) I need to follow the instructions in the DVD and the laptop will be like during the day, I bought there including Vista? Is this true?

2. is this formatting will change my internal IP address of the computer?

Thank you

Hey

2 simple answers:

1. Yes.
2. What do you mean with the IP address internal? If you understand what that means of formatting you don t need to ask the following question. The whole HARD disk is removed, the partitions and all data will be deleted.
Good bye

    Probably yes

As far as I know that P300 was equipped with HARD drive recovery and Vista 32 bit was preinstalled. There should be an option that allows to recover the laptop using the recovery of HARD drive option. Press F8 when the laptop starts up. Then choose fix my computer and start HARD drive recovery.
This should set the machine to factory settings. Finally, you can create a recovery disk using the Toshiba recovery disc Creator called preinstalled software.

(> 3) should I make a copy of the PRODUCT ID series vista on my system menu screen
You can do this, but as far as I know the Vista on the Toshiba Recovery disk is already enabled and you don t need the series keys.

Usually you have to boot from that disk

  • That includes the support of product recovery cd?

    Hello

I just bought a new Toshiba Satellite U400/03 s today and I was wondering what includes the cd of "product recovery media"? Is this the same as the windows recovery cd + all re-installers driver? Oh, and since my laptop has installed windows vista professional, but the recovery media allows for me to downgrade to windows XP pro, the cd of "product recovery media" would include both windows (vista AND xp)?

    Thank you!

    Hello

I assume you have the Australian cell phone model. I don't know with certainty how notebooks are configured here, but in General, all new laptops are delivered without recovery media.
You must create a recovery using 'Toshiba Recovery Disc Creator' media. It's a small tool preinstalled on your laptop and use this tool, you can create recovery DVDs Vista.

This DVD you can use for the installation of Vista more far. You can use it so often desired.
As far as I know, some laptop models are also supported for Windows XP Home edition and some laptops come with separate recovery WXP media. So you can use Vista (factory settings) and you can also install additional Windows XP Home edition, using this recovery media.

Before anything please create recovery DVDs Vista.
Sorry, but I can't say with certainty what is in this DVD.
Can you please send what is written on it?

  • MS Office is included in product recovery?

First of all, my thanks to Akuma, Terentino and Ivan25 for their help with my previous dilemma.

Now, maybe I'm very naïve, or simply stupid, but I thought that after doing a product recovery my laptop would be in the same condition as when I bought it - IE with MS Office available, but he's not here. Does this mean that I now have to buy MS Office? Knowing MS it will be probably cheaper to buy a new PC!

    Hello!

First of all what model of laptop you have exactly?

The Toshiba Recovery disk normally contains factory settings, which means that all the drivers and tools they have been delivered with the laptop.

But normally on most computers laptops only trial version of Office is preinstalled. It works for 90 days, as far as I know, and after that, it should be bought if you want to use.
Your laptop comes with a full version of Office?

    Good bye

  • Question about product recovery CD

    Hello

I have 2 partitions of hard drive (C and E), and I want to recover my system using the product recovery CD.
If I do this, will be deleted all the files in the partition E?
    Thank you

    Hello Omar

As I can see from your previous assignments you still didn t understand how it works. You have the new Satellite A200. the procedure of recovery for new laptops is not the same as the older models.

Old models of laptops has been bundled with ghost image and it was possible to use Expert mode and install the operating system on the C partition only. In this case, all data on other partitions was there.

With the new models of laptops Toshiba use the new recovery system (RICO). Unfortunately there is no option Expert mode and if you use recovery media to install the OS, the whole HARD disk will be deleted and you will lose all your data. The only thing is that you can do is to use the CONFIGURATION option and create two partitions. All that s.

In this topic describes Pedro very nice what you can do. Buy Norton Ghost for Vista and make your own recovery DVD that you can use at any time and only install the OS on the C partition.

Sorry but there is no other way to install OS and save the data on the partition of second or third.

  • Need advice on the recovery CD and Vista upgrade on Satellite M100-222

I want to share my problem to get some tips. I got a laptop Satellite M100-222 Windows XP and Vista capable, then I got an upgrade to Vista and it works with few problems that do not recognize some programs.

That's why I have some needs and need your help and support and they are as follows:
1 - is possible to reformat using the upgrade of Vista, or need to reformat with XP first and then update with Vista.
2 - I tried several times to start the CD, DVD (product recovery) to reformat the laptop. However it is said (operating system not found).

    Kindly enlighten me.
    Concerning

    With regard to the point;

(* 1) * If you ONLY upgrade Vista CD, then it s necessary to start the first restore XP CD, and then upgrade to Vista.

(* 2) * usually start from the CD/DVD recovery must format the HARD drive and need to install the new image of Toshiba. Please check if you have started since the right recovery CD! Don't mix it with the Express Media Player recovery CD!

  • RE-FORMATTING of Windows and product recovery

I want to format my computer and I was wondering if the product recovery disc contains only the Toshiba and Windows software? OR I have to find my own copy of windows to reformat then use the product recovery disc back to the software?

    Hello

Simply boot from the Toshiba Recovery CD. This will start the installation of image. But the standard procedure will be everything delete you partitions on the HARD drive. In this case, be careful.
The image includes all the stuff of Toshiba (drivers & tools). The Windows is activated and that you don't need t all the keys for the output.

  • Product recovery discs are missing on my new M50

    Hey,.

Last Wednesday I went down to my shop local curries (Barrow-in-Furness) and bought myself a Toshibe M50 (the box says its a M50-192)

When I went to the store, there are no examples of the laptop in the store (I was only there because the comet to the top of the road had ceased to run another laptop I wanted) - but I was offered the view model that I decided was not in bad nick and I would take.

The young man in the store didn't offer me a discount, but he told me that the startup/recovery discs were not provided with the product and I would make them when you set up the computer later. I took this in good faith and left the store.

When I got home, I have found no function to make the recovery disc for the machine, and none were in the box (which had already been opened because it is the view model). I looked in my manual of toshiba and it includes a section on how to use the recovery discs - but not how to do everything - with a nice picture of what look like pre-made disks. After reviewing my documentation, I noticed that the quick start guide tells me that my box should take various things - computer, ac power cord, documentation and others, AND "product recovery".

Now, after this not-so-brief backround to my situation (Please read elsewhere), I ask my question: should I have received these drives to the store or do they still have them? Or am I supposed to make, but have missed it because the computer is already configured in the Currys store (and if they still have the disks, or I can get them now)?

If someone could shed some light on this problem a little complex for me I would be very grateful ;-)

    ~ Jonathan Story
(The laptop itself is great-even if the graphics card is not quite what was advertised in the store)

    Hi Jonathan

Certainly, the recovery DVDs comes with portable Satellite M50 series. It will be interesting to know if the laptop box was initially closed or you bought the laptop that was perhaps already unpacked.

  • Product recovery / disk drive not recognized

I am trying to achieve a waste product on a Toshiba Satellite running Windows Vista. I followed the instructions provided with the product recovery disc (insert the disc, restart your computer, press F12). While the recovery was then frozen at about 30%. I rebooted the machine, but when it restarted the DVD player was no longer recognized. Whenever I start the laptop now the Windows Boot Manager opens. The instructions given here ask me to insert the disc and restart your computer, however since the DVD player is not seen it won't work.

Info given by the Windows Boot Manager: -.

    ' File: \Windows\system32\winload.exe.
    Status: 0xc000000f
Info: the selected entry could not be loaded because the application is missing or damaged. »

    I tried-
-Copy the files from the recovery disk of the product on a USB key, then from the laptop using this. When I do this the pen drive shows up as an option but a startup message appears that says that the USB is not an operating system.
-J' have conducted an audit of the portable computers memory which showed none of the corrupt files.

    > Copy the files from the recovery disk of the product on a USB key, then from the laptop using this. When I do this the pen drive shows up as an option but a startup message appears that says that the USB is not an operating system.

It will not work. This recovery image cannot be started from a USB flash key.
I guess that your CD/DVD drive cannot read the disc properly. Who knows why
But you can try to copy the recovery on another disk CD or DVD using a different computer.
I noticed that the number of different CD/DVD drives cannot manage some disks
    Sometimes, this problem of compatibility

However, if you have the ability to copy this disc to another, then do it.
    Maybe it would work.

  • Satellite Pro A300 - 13 X: Question on the product recovery disks

I recently bought a laptop Satellite Pro A300 - 13 X with Vista Business installed.
It came with two product recovery discs to install XP Professional.

Given that I decided just to use XP, I followed the procedure for recovery of product and I am now running XP from the first disc. It seems to work correctly.

I'm unable to install the second disc and I wonder where it is. It contains 7 application files 001-002-003-004 crc and tpa.

Anyone know what to do with this drive?

Don't know what this disc contains or how to install it, but check if everything works and if all programs and utilities are installed, which you had Windows Vista.

  • Satellite A210 - 4 1: Winload.exe problem after having used the product recovery disc

    Hello

I could really do with some help here. I have a PC laptop Toshiba Satellite A210 - 1 4. Disk partitioned with Vista home premium service pack 4.0.

Last night, I used the product recovery disc supllied with the laptop in an attempt to restore its initial configuration.

and the end of the procedure, I find myself with a prompt cmd with X:\windows\system32\cmd.exe in the high bit blue box indicating:

Error: imageX could not apply vista F:\05993xsp.swm Index 2 of ODD to C:\!

Press a key to continue. Box disappears then an administrator: X:\windows\system32\cmd.exe in the top blue bit indicating:

    waiting for ODD vacancies...
    STRANGE drive f: loan.
Look for support in the F: drive...
Failed to initialize the raid class.
    No RAID - continue normally...

    X:\Windows\System32 >

Now every time the laptop trying to restart it just comes up with the error message:

CANNOT START WINDOWS. A RECENT HARDWARE CHANGE OR SOFTWARE MAY BE THE
    CAUSE
    FILE: \WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\WINLOAD. EXE
    STATUS: 0XC000000E
INFO: THE SELECTED ENTRY COULD NOT BE LOADED BECAUSE THE APPLICATION
    IS MISSING OR DAMAGED

Below I have then have the possibility of esc or continue with the same result of the system attempts to restart.

The recovery disc has no option of repair on this subject.

need help please, I have no idea.

    Thank you

    Hello

Looks like something was wrong during the recovery procedure.
Have you tried to recover the laptop once more?
If this isn't the case, you should definitely try this!

You are right; hasn t drive recovery option for the repair because the recovery disk is not the same as a MS Vista drive. The recovery disk contains image files (it s a package) and the files contains Vista, Toshiba drivers, tools and additional software.

So if something was happening well wrung out during the recovery procedure, you will not be able to repair the installation of the OS, but you need to run it again.

  • Satellite P200 - Product Recovery Disk 2/2 does not work

    Hello

because my laptop (Satellite P200 - I bought in December 2007) does not work more properly - and when, after a lot of cleaning it still wasn't working properly - I decided to start from the beginning and restore the operating system with 2 product recovery cd / dvd.

Recovery disk 1/2 worked well - Windows Vista Home Premium product is loaded again on my computer.

But what abot * Disck2/2 product recovery? *
At one point, the recovery program calls for a 'supplement' but when I put in the product recovery disc 2/2 at this time, that the program does not recognize the disc. During the rest of the recovery program the program didn't ask for Product Recovery Disk 2/2, so the content of this CD-ROM/dvd now is not loaded on my laptop.

    Someone had this problem too?
What do you have on this?
Is this a problem for not loading the content of the product recovery disc 2/2 (I can go without it?)?

Thanks in advance for any response!

    Hello

    > Products 1/2 worked well - Windows Vista Home Premium recovery disc is loaded again on my computer.

I put t know which modules the tool called for, but AFAIK the Toshiba image contains the operating system Vista, Toshiba drivers and additional software.
So if you've recovered the laptop using the recovery disk Toshiba 1 then the laptop must be set to the SAME State as at the first day of the purchase.

PS: what files you can find on the second disk?

  • Can I run product recovery with a yellow mark on Device Manager?

It was suggested that my CD/DVD-rom has been infected by the virus. There is a yellow exclamation mark shown against the CD-rom. I would like to reinstall my laptop (Equuim) by running again the Toshiba product recovery. It is possible with the CD/DVD-rom does not work? Please notify.

Optical drive may not work under Vista or other operating system preinstalled, but has nothing to do with the General features.
Yes, you can do it. When you start your laptop press F12, put the recovery media in the optical disc drive, choose the CD/DVD drive in the list and press ENTER. When the recovery procedure starts just follow the menu on the screen.

    * Recovery procedure will remove all data from the HARD drive. So, if you have some important data stored on the HARD drive please make backup before starting the recovery procedure.*

  • Problem of product recovery

    Hello

My system: W500 with windows vista x 64 and history: in addition to windows, I tried to install linux ubuntu, before doing anything I did product recovery discs and a hot spare - as advised on the linux forum. Windows Disk Manager only allows me to shrink C: drive by more than 1 GB (from 221 GB), so I used GParted from ubuntu live cd. I was warned that he could make vista ubootable and he did, based on ThinkVantage button initially made in the windows error message "Windows couldn't boot...". ', so I started from product recovery to restore the State of vista running. Now the problem: after insert second dvd and, a moment comes when he unzips the contents of (I think) save files, to the primary partition, and then a message appears:

Windows cannot verify the signature for this file. A recent hardware or software change might be installed a file that is signed incorrectly or damaged, or may be malicious software from an unknown source.

When processing file: sdrivebackup.swm. I booted the cd of relief but it only alow me to restore a predefined backup of the system - which I did not.

It turned out to be a hardware problem - processor or motherboard are faulty (memtest86 showed no error, whereas prime95 can run for 10 seconds without error).
