Program does not connect to the network.

I just bought this laptop with Windows 7 installed.  I'm playing a game, 'Star Goonzu', on it; However, once it is installed and I goto launches the game cannot connect to the server.  Already, I went the firewall settings and goonzu.exe through permits.  On my desktop XP everything works fine, so I know that's not woth the router or the file.  Help, please

Ugh, this game looks rough . In any case, right click on the desktop icon, click Properties and select the Compatibility tab, select Windows XP (Service Pack 3) in the list and press OK. I had to do to make it work properly.

Good luck.

  • Vista does not connect to the network at startup folders

Unlike XP, Vista is not automatically mapping/connecting to my WiFi network at startup folders.  Every time I have start or restart, Vista does not connect to them, and I have to manually complete the task.  All folders that I want to connect to are marked "Reconnect at logon."  How to get Vista to connect to these folders when connecting as it is supposed to?

    Hi Peters4,

I have some questions I need to ask:

Once have connected you to the computer, you still see the disks with a red X on them or they have gone completely?
If they have the red x, connects by double-clicking on them?
If you are prompted for a password?
You map drives using an IP address instead of a name of sharing?
Are you using the built in Windows Vista wireless client or other software to connect to the wireless network?

You could try the following drive mapping and see if that fixes the problem:

    • Press Start.
    • Type CMD in the Search box and press ENTER.
    • Right click on cmd.exe and select run as administrator.

At the command prompt, use the following command:

net use x:-\\nom_ordinateur\nom_partage\ / persistent: Yes

(where x is the drive letter you want to assign.)

  • T61 does not connect to the network through a station

I have a T61hat all of a sudden this week the network connection has stopped working when I am connected through my docking station. If I remove and plug the network cable into the T61 it immediately connects, but when I first connected it does not connect. It was working fine earlier this week. I was reading some email in Outlook and suddenly realized that I had lost my network connection. I tried to run the utility Lenovo system update and the updates of Windows and I'm perfectly up-to-date. A virus scan that found nothing. I tried to uninstall the driver of my network and then restart and allowing PnP to reinstall. None of this has worked. Also, I have a partner who has also a T61 with a docking station. I plugged my laptop on my own and got the same results, so this isn't a hardware problem with the docking station itself.

Our technicians of equipment replaced the motherboard in my T61 and that seems to have solved my problem. Haven't seen the network problem in a week now.

  • WIN8 does not connect to the network of 5G

I have a laptop Sony Vaio 13 Pro. Since late September, I was connected on a 5G network with her. I upgraded to Windows 10 5/6 weeks ago (not sure exactly when). 5G network worked a few days, and then one night it disconnected and never once I connected again.

I tried each installer for the driver, all set to update (Windows updates, driver updated AND updates from Sony) and nothing.

So yesterday I drove back on Windows 8, because according to a Microsoft agent, with the fact that I've been on the cat may be a compatibility issue with the driver and Windows 10. The laptop still not connect to the same 5G network that worked before without any problem. It would only connect to 2.4 G.

    Here is some info:

Network adapter: Intel (r) Dual Band Wireless-N 7260, the driver was last updated. When you run the test Command, it shows radio for n and g networks.

Since I downgraded to Windows8, I tried everything I could find on the community page:

-a ran the adapter and network troubleshooting which gives me an error message: Windows could not automatically detects the network proxy settings.

    -Flushing the dns, no go

-renew the investigation period, no go

-disable the network, reboot and activate, still no go

    -all the proxies are disabled

-tried to manually set my ip no, still does not

-netsh int reset newspapers done, reboot still nothing

-with still Win10 on I got the network card uninstalled with removal of the driver and reboot, no victory.

The network is detectable on the list of my networks, at the same time, there are about 4-5 other devices on it, and works on everyone like a charm. The router Admin shows the operational network.

I'm going nuts on my work stuff if pretty darn slow on 2.4 Ghz network.

    Hello

If you right-click on the adapter in Device Manager and select Properties, you can see tabs for energy, advanced, etc...

There, you can look around for anything that might be disabled or disabled...

If it used to work in 8 win and it will not now, which makes me think it may be failed, but there is a possibility that something happened...

Look to see if there is a setting for the 2.4 and 5...

Maybe somehow the 2.4 is set as default...

Now that I think of it, it is possible to have a framework like this in your BIOS...

My HP laptop has a few buttons just above the Panel to turn off the wireless and other things... You could check of course make sure that something like that can not have been moved somehow and changed a setting...

I don't have anything with dual band to check a little closer...

  • After hibernation PC does not connect to the network until the 'Diagnose' button

My PC Win 7 x 64 did for about 6 weeks, and it's a little annoying:

After waking up from hibernation, there is no network connection. I'm behind a router and it gives IP addresses. The problem looks superficially like the IP is not renewed... but this isn't the issue of the root.  If I open the network and sharing Center, my network card and click on "diagnose" everything started working. Here is the text of the event log.

If I configured the IP to be static (on the area no DHCP on the LAN), then the LAN adapter will not recover a hibernation. It is as if she is locked inside.

Someone at - it ideas (or how can I run the Diagnostics of command line)?

The Network Diagnostics Framework completed the stage of diagnosis of the functioning. The following repair option was proposed:

  • 1st install ESXi does not connect to the network

I used VMware Fusion and several versions of the workstation. I am a computer SCIENCE student and I'm trying to set up a virtual server for the purpose of learning environment.

First, I installed ESXi in workstation computer on my laptop. I scare IT LIKED. I ran to the store bought a fresh HDD to install ESXi to my old server Supermicro (MBD-PDSMA + o LGA). During installation, I received a warning that the Intel Virtualization has been disabled on my motherboard. I activated that can restart the installation. No matter what I try I can not this 'thing' to get an address from my DHCP server. I even tried unpluging my router and using several computers on my network as DHCP servers. Each of them I tried my entire network has received fresh IP address but my supermicro box did not. I tried to use two network, port 0 only ports and only 1 port. After having lost about 24 hours I tried to install 5.0.0 and it worked without problem. I would like to be able to update the latest versions unmolested my network connection is going to die on me when I do.

    Ideas?

My next issue will be storage because not even my JABOD drives appear in my passthrough RocketRaid 2220 and PCI does not seem to be an option for this card. Yep, that's good baby PCI - X... Say what you want about RocketRaid, this card was sitting at the bottom of a box of son with no static case a few years to 3-4 moves and it still works like a champ.

I had the same problem with a card mother similar supermicro who has the same Intel Lan Adapter as yours.  Using the e1000 drivers of 5.0 worked for me.  I followed the instructions in this thread:

  • Phorosmart d 5510: printer does not connect to the network upgrade

    A combination of problems:

I recently updated my broadband and also bought a new computer

Today my printer has stopped working. I tried to reinstall, but my desktop computer, or laptop can connect with him. I checked this is the connection to the server, but it will connect with the SSID of 2.4 ghz. WiFi on my computer works with the SSID of 5 ghz. I guess that's the problem, but the printer will not recognize or find the SSID of 5 ghz

    Hello Dudley151,

Thanks for stopping by the HP community! I see that you are facing problems with wireless connection. You have changed networks and are unable to get the connected printer.

Yes, the problem is HP printers are not compatible with the 5.0 GHz networks.

I tried to uninstall and reinstall the realtek drivers (both automatically and with the realtek official .exe file for current drivers).  I tried to assign a static ip address for ipv4 properties, and I tried activation and deactivation of my ethernet controller on my bios, all with no success.

I have ping 127.0.0.1 to see if my material is bad and shut up just fine (0 packets failed).  I tried to move the ethernet cords, and that did not help, then I connect my ps3 through ethernet to ethernet port of the same on my router and my router port-light lights up fine for that (but not with my pc).

I'm really at the end of my rope here.  Any help would be appreciated.

Yes, I saw that... but I don't know what I have choice.  This is clearly an ISP issue, and I've exhausted all my options on my end.

I finally managed to pass on to someone, and they send me a new modem/router... naturally it is the one and only free modem I get "for the life of your contract."  But hey, if all goes well, if nothing else, he will have the ability to save and load a configuration file.

I understand that you try to configure the Deskjet 2540 on your wireless network to use with an iPad. This can be difficult with only an iPad, but still achievable.

I want to try the steps I gave to a member of the community of colleagues doing the same thing you are. I would like to know how it works for you.
