program files don't download correctly on my pc

When I go to a website and download files such as (winamp, windows media, cnet player) download bar downloads I put it to record to my downloads folder and it shows finished downloading but when I go to the folder, nothing is there.  nothing works when I run or save a file.  Anyone know what I can do to fix this?

Windows sometimes has protection files and dumps in a hidden location similar to this one.

"C:\Users\usernamexxxx\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Temporary Internet Files\Virtualized\C\Users\usernamexxx" typed in the box to begin running with the correct user name and the line includes quotes.  Discover the subfolders of this location, particularly one called downloads

If no downloads never go away and find themselves in the situation above, read this.

What does Internet Explorer protected mode?

Internet Explorer protected mode is a feature that makes it more difficult for malware to be installed on your computer.

In addition to helping protect your computer from malicious software, protected mode allows you to install wanted ActiveX controls or modules when logged in as an administrator.

Protected mode is enabled by default in the Internet, intranet, Local and sensitive sites areas and an icon appears on the status bar to make you know it is running.

By clicking on 'Protected Mode' (just above and to the left of the clock) allow you to turn it off, but don't forget to re-enable it.

When you uninstall a program, you go to the application of programs and features.

I don't know about Aperture but Lightroom must be updated to version 5.7.1 to open the A7 II RAW files.

  • After reinstalling program files

I did a full reinstall HP shipped factory status as windows did not start successfully. It was going well until I discovered that I had no adobe reader. I tried to install Adobe 9 but the installer gave Error 1406 - could not write value Adobe ARM to the key \SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Current Version\Run.Verify that you have sufficient access to that key, or contact your support team. Coiled Installer then return of the installation. I then tried to install Adobe Reader 8 of the section of the computer's hard drive recovery, but it will not be installed. Then I looked at the folder program files and found that the backup of disks created with the recovery of the computer Manager had installed files of programs I had installed myself. These files do not work as a program. Do not appear as a program to uninstall or change a program window accessed through the control panel. The only way I can think to eliminate them is to remove them manually, or perhaps reinstall the same version of the program if it is still available.

However this does not seem possible with Adobe at the moment. Maybe it's because I have Adobe Flash Player Active X showing that reinstalling a program installed on the 30.4.08, so it seems to come from the factory delivered HP, but maybe I should uninstall the flash player and then try to install Adobe 8 HP recovery.

The question is how can I safely delete these non-functional program files and then download the adobe reader software to work. I have Vista Home Premium Service Pack 2 on an HP Pavilion dv6700 Notebook.

    Edescape

I finally solved this problem by recovering with a clean install of the partition on the hard drive. I then updated the operating system to windows vista and then updated HP programs. This gave me a stable computer. I then reinstalled my own information from my own backup files produced by myself. I did not use the backup program because I lost the files last time.

  • HP laptop does not downloaded program files

    Hello world

I don't know when this started, but whenever I download a program file, the download is complete, but the file does not open when I click on 'run '. For example, I tried to download the installation of Flash Player and my laptop downloaded the file but I kept clicking on "Run" and nothing appears on the screen.

Two weeks later, I tried to download the update for Epson printer and again, my laptop downloaded the file but when I click on "Run", nothing.

I checked to see if it was my firewall settings, so I turned it off and tried to run the programs, but not luck. Any suggestions?

    Thank you

How to uninstall security programs I don't have, I have more than one and do not know which to use.  they clean too many files when uninstalled

    Hello jillmarsden,

It is not recommended to have multiple Antivirus or firewall installed at the same time because they can cause conflicts as PaulAuckNZ said. However, instead of remove antivirus in programs and features, you must go to the Antivirus website and use the removal tool which is produced by the manufacturer of the antivirus program.

Microsoft has a free Antivirus called Microsoft Security Essentials. It provides protection for your PC in real time at home that protects against software viruses, spyware and other malicious software. It is simple to install, easy to use and always up-to-date with protection.

  • Error message after you initialize computer error "Windows cannot find C:\Program Files (x 86) \Search Extensions\Client.exe make sure you typed the name correctly and try again.

After that I turned on my computer, I get this error message... "Windows cannot find C:\Program Files (x 86) \Search Extensions\Client.exe make sure you typed the name correctly and try again."

It all started October 1, 2014, and I have no idea why.

I asked windows assistance online, and he said he had something to do with my registry.
But then there just stop communicating and did not tell me how to solve this problem.

Y at - it a registry repair tool?

Also it does not affect my computer that I can tell.

But I have a problem in which windows cannot detect.

In the printers and devices window, the icon of my computer has a triangle with an exclamation mark inside error.

Maybe someone out there not and I'd appreciate any help.

    Hey, mark

First have you properly uninstalled this program? He was executed at startup of Windows an incorrect uninstall may cause this error may still be registered in MSConfig to start automatically with the computer.

Did you go to the address specified in Program Files (86) \Search Extensions to see if the file is present or not?

With a mark of exclamtion in the middle of a yellow triangle indicates that drivers must be updated.

Right-click on the device with the triangle, select Properties, go to the Hardware tab, select the device with a triangle next to it, select Properties again and select Update driver.

This should solve the problem, if Windows Update can't find a driver for you, you can always go to the manufacturers website and download it there, however, if the Windows Update does not find it there ' has a chance to the manufacturers Web site may not it as well, in this case, you can open Device Manager right-click the missing material or using outdated drivers, select Properties, go to the Details tab and in the hardware id select menu drop-down property search with id, you receive information about the device and so download the drivers the most up-to-date and appropriate from other reliable sources.

    Thank you

You can delete the Firefox program folder to remove all Firefox files and to install a freshly downloaded version in order to do a clean reinstall.

    • (32-bit Windows) "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\"
    • (Windows 64 bit) "C:\Program Files (x 86) \Mozilla.

    Try this:

  • Download csv file don't ask where to store the file

Firefox is set to "always ask me where to save files.

I have a WebService to download a file download.csv via a POST request (must be a POST request and not a GET request due to data problems).
I use jquery.fileDownload.js on the Web site to achieve. When you press the download button, the 'Opening download.csv' screen opens with the option 'Save file' preset. After pressing OK, a window of the Explorer must take place in order to choose the location of the file. But it is NOT shown. Instead nothing more happens.

    What could be the problem?
P.S.: in other browsers it works fine.

    Hello gnittala,

    Thanks for your reply.
    1 MIMEType is set correctly.
    2. When you use this configuration, the file is downloaded correctly.

Now I discovered, what was the problem:
the jquery.fileDownload.js plugin was removing the iframe internally used too early, before the Explorer window could not be displayed. Keeping the iframe longer (at least until the Explorer window is displayed, or more easily reuse in next download call) solves the problem.

    Perform a cleaning (re) install:

    • Download a new copy of Firefox and save the file to the desktop.
    • Uninstall your current version of Firefox and remove the Firefox program folder before installing this copy of the Firefox installer.
    • Do not erase personal data if you uninstall the current version.
    • It is important to remove the Firefox program folder to delete all the files and make sure that there is no problem with the files that were the remains after uninstallation.

Your bookmarks and other profile data is stored elsewhere (not in the Firefox program folder) and will not be affected by a relocation, but make sure that you do not select delete data of a personal nature if you uninstall Firefox.
