Program guide Media Center fails to download

I open media center and open the guide. He tells me that my info guide will not be good in 3 days (I had this problem for a week and a half) so I click Download now. Wait a few minutes and it says failure to down load just right-click on the icon in the system tray to view update history. I check the history and I do not see a media center update anywhere. I run the tv Setup numurous times and it fails to download the guide of the establishments. I went to sevenforums.com and I saw, I had exactly the same problem and someone wants to see a screenshot, but whenever I try to this that I see is black, so I can't provide a screenshot. someone knows how to fix this, I really want to start recording shows once again.

  • Windows 7 Media Center will not download the new guide listings

    Hello

I am really frustrated. WMC will not download the new guide listings and I tried all the patches that are supposed to be that I found in this forum. I also tried the system restore, which did not fix the problem. Obviously the problem is not affected by the restore program.

I was able to determine that there is some kind of corruption of the WMC files that Windows 7 can not solve (according to the event log).

I'm a bit exasperated at the tenacity of this problem. Y at - it a reliable fix or I need to reinstall Windows 7?

  • Windows Media Center will not download updates to the Guide. Netflix and Internet TV options do not appear on the menu screen.

I tried to configure Media Center for Internet TV and Netflix. I have Setup several times and attempted to manually download the updates. So far, neither option appeared on the menu screen and I repeatedly received an error message when you try to download updates to the guide that directs me to check the update log. I find the event log, and that's what he said:

Also, when I tried to contact support by email and has been asked to enter my product ID number to verify the activation, I was told it was not valid. I repeatedly entered it exactly as stated on the page of the system. I also activated the software certified on the same page of the system.

Any help would be appreciated because I would really like to be able to use these features.

    Thank you.

I had this same problem. That's what I did which appeared to fix (not sure if that fix or if it sets just itself). I ran the mcupdate.exe file located in the C:\windows\ehome\ directory (or some windows player is on). Yet once again, I'm not sure if this corrects the problem, or if it randomly determines.

Hey guys - I was wondering if you could help me to diagnose this.
The only thing I can think is, perhaps, that I don't have the correct services turned on?

No matter what I type - I started with all the letters of the alphabet and nothing is displayed. Why is this? I tried to uninstall, reboot, install and reboot.

  • Downloaded data to guide Media Center ends at 26/12/2011

I have XP MCE with updates. My MC stopped downloading the guide data beyond 2011-12-26 a week ago. I tried to reconfigure the display to a different ZIP code, change my ISP access, etc, but nothing worked. When I download I get message 'Guide' downloaded successfully, but does not record data beyond 26/12/2011. I saw on another post in the United Kingdom they had problems to the United Kingdom. I'm in the United States. The same issue could occur with Zap2it?

Check if the guide is currently being updated. I've heard reports that he corrected himself.

  • Tv Media Center, the Setup program fails

Tried to set up the TV Media Center (Windows 7 Home Premium 64 BIT) but the installation starts only (a blob white on the progress bar), and then nothing happens even if I leave it for centuries.  It used to work fine, but I tried to set up again after that some channels were not download data in the guide.  I have a Cinergy DT USB XS diversity double Tuner that has been very well so far, but I have reinstalled 64-bit drivers just in case they were corrupt but still no result.

Just to be clear on where it fails I'm on the screen that says "Windows Media Center downloads the latest configuration data for your area".  My internet connection is fast and functional well with other programs.

I don't want really to re - install the entire operating system, so I asked if there was a less radical solution.  I have no restore points or try.
