__Program runtime error: C:\Windows\System32\spoolsv.exe

The error message above appears whenever I start the computer. The exact message is as follows

Runtime error

Program: C:\Windows\System32\spoolsv.exe

"This application has requested the execution to terminate in an unusual way. For more information, contact the application support team.

Thank you very much for the help. I did the safe mode start which has not corrected the problem. I pass on the clean boot method. In accordance with your instructions, I eliminated the elements until I found the software that has been the cause of the problem. To my astonishment, that it was of "Pure Networks Inc.", that is, I'm sure you know, my Linksys wireless router from Cisco. ONC program has been eliminated so was the mistake. I will now contact Cisco to try to find a repair/patch for the issue.

Thanks again for your help!

  • Can't access the internet, the error message: runtime error! Windows/system32/spoolsv.exe

I noticed my extra long taking computer to start from a few days ago.  I can't access the internet until the second message appears after the error message.  This message says "spooler subsystem app stopped working and was closed".  I have Norton 360 protection and my OS is Vista Basic.  I did a scan antivirus with no problems detected.  The only time that this message is when I start my computer.  Help!

    Hi DawnKemm

    Method 1:

You can check if the problem occurs in safe mode. In safe mode; you have access to only the drivers and base files.
Check out the link to start the computer in safe mode and then check-
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/start-your-computer-in-safe-mode

    Method 2:

If you are not faced with the question in safe mode, then you can check in a clean boot state. To perform the clean boot follow step 1 mentioned in the article below, and then try again check in the clean boot state -

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929135

If the problem is resolved check which service non-Microsoft is the source of the problem; referring to article and following the other steps.
When you are finished troubleshooting, follow these steps to reset the computer to start as usual:

    a. Click Start, type msconfig.exe in the start search box and press ENTER.
If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type your password, or click on continue.

    b. on the general tab, click the Normal startup option and then click OK.

    c. When you are prompted to restart the computer, click on restart.

    I hope this helps.

I get this message for WINDOWS 7.  All the forums, I checked are very old, nt, vista.  Help, please.

I updated windows yesterday and it came this morning.  The computer does not work correctly.  I can't imagine that a printer spool is causing all the problems.  startup, Web pages very very slow, some are not used McAfee. When I view the details, he said: "... occurs when a program is not completely compatible with windows." Visual C++ is a windows program.  Run all the scans available until I heard from someone.

    HII Justferg,

Try the SFC scan on the computer.

SFC/scannow is a very useful command that you can use in any version of Windows. When the SFC (System File Checker) command is used with the/scannow switch, the tool analyzes all the important files of Windows on your computer and replace if necessary.

Missing and the corruption of the operating system (like many DLLs) files are probably the main cause of the major problems of Windows. In view of this, plus the fact that the SFC/scannow is completely automatic and very easy to use, the tool should be usually one of your top not troubleshooting.

    Hi DadVQ,

    ·         Did you do changes on the computer before the show?

This problem occurs because of a missing or corrupted Rundll32.exe file. This problem can also be caused by a virus.

Follow the suggestions below for a possible solution:

Method 1: Follow the steps mentioned in the article below and check if the problem still persists.

Cannot find the Rundll32.exe file when you open Control Panel

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/812340

Method 2: If the problem persists, I also suggest that you scan your computer with the Microsoft Security Scanner, which would help us to get rid of viruses, spyware and other malicious software.

The Microsoft Security Scanner is a downloadable security tool for free which allows analysis at the application and helps remove viruses, spyware and other malware. It works with your current antivirus software.

    http://www.Microsoft.com/security/scanner/en-us/default.aspx

Note: The Microsoft Safety Scanner ends 10 days after being downloaded. To restart a scan with the latest definitions of anti-malware, download and run the Microsoft Safety Scanner again.

Important: While hard disk analysis if bad sectors are found when scanning try to repair this area, all available on which data can be lost.

Let us know if that helps.

It is sthe message I get when I print a hallmark greeting card. The printer does not complete the printing process. Can I print from the computer, the word, online, just that a small problem. and yes I already reinstalled the printer and the program of the trademark.

It is my understanding that if all you do is remove the printer in printers and faxes and then reinstall, you don't actually reinstall the driver.  Instead, Windows detects the driver the exact printer you are installing is already installed and use it.

Follow the instructions here to completely remove the driver and other software associated with the printer and then reinstall it by using a new download from the web site of the manufacturer of the printer.

If the "LX" at the beginning of this exe file name indicates that you have a Lexmark printer, seethese instructions instead (essentially the same except for the steps 15-17).

Notwithstanding the foregoing, if you can print from other applications, the problem may not be in the printer driver, but in the print job generated by the application you are printing from.  You try to print an e-card brand with a browser web (what browser and version?) or if you are printing from an application from Hallmark (Hallmark Card Studio?) that is installed on your computer.  If the latter, have tried tosupport Hallmark ?
