program user accounts: administrator user account

I created a user not knowing account is the user account administrative and when a phone rang I confirmed the password without remembering what I wrote, it "administrator user account" to change / remove it completely. Because I can't even open the computer programs, it blocks everything.  (b) I've recreated a 'Standard user' account, but it doesn't have the same functions.  PLEASE HELP ITS URGENT

You can change your password to something that you remember another administrative user account. If you had only an administrative user account and you have forgotten the password, all is not lost. You can then follow the general recommendations for implementing user accounts in Vista that I will give you at the end of this post.

All this requires a certain level of computer skills. You know better and that take the machine to a competent local computer tech (not a type of BigComputerStore/GeekSquad place) is the best solution for you.

If you have an installation of Vista DVD (not a recovery DVDs), you can start the system with it. Select the default language, then select "repair your computer". Then select "Command Prompt". At the command prompt, type:

NET user administrator / Active: Yes [press Enter]
NET user [insert here the name of your user account] [insert the new password of user as 1234 here] [press Enter]

[Note: do not enter the brackets!]

Remove the installation DVD and restart the computer. Now, you will be able to connect to your user account by using the password that you set; for example, 1234.

If you do not have a Vista installation DVD (only have a recovery disk), the computer mftr. may have given you the option to repair Vista (not a system recovery!) system in the diagnostic menu. This menu of diagnosis is the same one where you can choose Safe Mode. Get to this menu by repeatedly pressing the F8 key as the computer starts. If you do not have this option, you can make a bootable Vista file repair DVD in this link:

http://NeoSmart.net/blog/2008/Windows-Vista-recovery-disc-download/

Note: All the Neosmart recovery disk downloads are torrent files. There is a good explanation of the torrent on the site Web of Neosmart files. You will need a torrent as muTorrent client to get the files. Torrent client will download the .iso file with which to create the bootable DVD. You will need to use third-party burning software such as Nero, Roxio or the free ImgBurn (http://www.imgburn.com ) to burn the image .iso image file, not in the form of data.

Once you have fixed things, log on to the additional administrative account you will be made by the suggestions below and disable the administrator account integrated yet for security reasons:

Start Orb > Search box > type: cmd
When cmd appears in the above results, right-click and choose "Run as Administrator" [OK]. Now, you will get the command prompt. At the command prompt, type:

NET user administrator / active: No. [Enter]

Exit the command prompt.

General recommendations for creating users in Vista:

You absolutely don't want to have only one user account. As XP and all the other modern operating systems, Vista is a multi-user system with integrated system of accounts as default Administrator and comments. These accounts should be left alone because they are part of the structure of the operating system.

In particular, you do not want one account user with administrative privileges on Vista because the administrator account integrated (normally only used in emergencies) is disabled by default. If you use as an administrator for your daily work, and this account is corrupt, things will be difficult.  It is not impossible to activate the built-in administrator to rescue things, but there may be more that you want to do. Better not to put you in a bad situation at first.

The user account that is for your daily work must be a Standard user, with the extra administrative user (call it something like 'CompAdmin' or 'Tech' or similar) only it for elevation purposes. As a user Standard is recommended for security reasons and will help protect your computer against infections. After you have created "CompAdmin", connect to it and change your normal user account Standard. Then log on to your regular account.

If you want to go directly to the desktop and ignore the Welcome screen with the icons of the user accounts, you can do this:

Start Orb > Search box > type: netplwiz [Enter]
Click continue (or provide an administrator password) when you are prompted by UAC

Uncheck "users must enter a user name and password to use this computer". Select a user account to connect automatically by clicking on the account you want to highlight and press OK. Enter the password for this user account (when it exists) when you are prompted. Leave blank if there is no password (null). MS - MVP - Elephant Boy computers - don't panic!

II am looking for a program of accounting for Mac, any suggestions?

There are literally hundreds of them. Search for others on the App Store. Search on MacUpdate and by searching on Google. There is no way we could make a suggestion. You will need to research, test them, and then make your choice based on your needs and what can do the software.

How to safely use MacUpdate to download malicious software free software: *

This site has both free and paid members accounts. If you don't have then some software will be distributed in a wrapper for an installation that includes adware/malware, you can not. Such a download may appear on your computer as follows: Firefox installer.dmg. Remove the download and return to the main site where you will find a direct link to the Web site. Use this link to download the software.

To avoid these downloads to MU simply create a free membership account. Sign in to your account before using the site. You can avoid the wrappers of the installer and download of adware or malware. I continue to use their site without any problems.

  • Windows 10 will change my current setup of the operating system on files on the SSD HARD drive and program/user?

Way back when I upgraded my main drive to a SSD, I used the following to put all the files of program/user on my HARD drive.  My questions are:

    1. What are replaced to the default settings?

    2. If so, what measures are needed to reach my current setup?

    d:\Users d:\ProgramData

I would advise against using a script that in the beginning, because some people have had the tough get windows to read files that are not where they are supposed to be.

For applications and other personal files, 10 Windows offers a similar feature in the settings.

Program files (and the similar system attributes) should probably be intact until the symbolic links (which redirect Windows when he tries to find the file) running again. • Problems with the installation of program and the Administrator role

I have a new operating system in 9 years (XP user) and finally bought a new computer with Vista and I'm totally lost. User and Administrator profiles seemed like a good idea, but they are inconvenient for me and significantly. I was lucky good installation of some programs of the administrator account, such as the office, and they work very well with other standard users. HOWEVER, many programs do not work, and although they appear on the desktop for each user, when I try to open them, they want to go through the installation. Makes no sense.

I wish I'd stayed with XP at this point.

My update is that I gave up. I don't have the time and energy to devote to their dleaing with Windows 7. If I could have just installed Outlook and it was operated as Outlook Express identities requiring passwords to open an Inbox, everything would be great. But having a single account opens an Outlook Inbox before requesting a password so that any user can come and see the Inbox of Outlook fins without password user. The password is only seems to allow the Inbox send and receive new mail since the last connection. Frankly, Windows has become extremely bossy and was intended to do what Microsoft thinks is best, not that users don't. I hate it. I hate the new version of Office as well. I hate users. Basically, it's the worst purchase I have made. If I could have picked up this machine and bought a new iMac I would have but I got more than 14 days before the full extent of its clunkiness.

I have a new machine, I want to throw because the operating system responds to my needs are simple... which are a program of easy mail to several users, some different software work-related (I deleted the office suite, I bought and reinstall my copy of Microsoft Office 2000 that is how the current exercise sucks) and for music management and use. In fact, the uses of music and electronic mail are the major uses of family and there where Windows sucks the most. The 'user' approach is required by Windows but iTunes does not work like that, nor it works easy to operate with multiple users.

So that's the update. Bottomline, I have this thing on Craigslist to sell and, hopefully, by a Mac. I should never have left Mac 8 years and I never should have bought a Windows machine last month.

  • Errors of installation of programs that require administrator privileges - ON a user administrator account

I don't necessarily get coverage error messages (and in some cases I don't get any other error message that the computer tells me an error has occurred), but when I try to install/load of programs that are based on the internet (Viewer gotomypc, photo uploader facebook, other programs uploader, etc.) I can not install the program, unless I have save the file on my computer then right click on the file and select "Run as Administrator" When my user account is the main account on my PC.

My account shows that it is an admin acocunt, so it's not as if this has been changed.

I can't pin-point when this started to happen, but it lasts for quite awhile - maybe since the latest service pack installed...?

This is the normal way to solve any problems with the installation of programs > download/save to the desktop > right - click > run as admin.

  • How to remove programs, as an administrator, on a basic user account?

We have remote users in our society, and I'm not able to distance in their PC.  Therefore, we normally set up a WebEx session, to install the software.  This isn't a problem.  However, if I need to remove software, I encountered a problem.  I tried to "Run as Administrator", but it does not work, and I can't ask me administrator credentials.  Is there anyway to remove programs without be signed as my Admin account?

  • How to run a program as an administrator on a standard user account without be prompted for the password

I have this software that doesn't work correctly than if you run it as administrator.  When you run it as administrator on the standard user account, it asks you the password.  How you turn off the prompt for password for that one software only? Or how you also run a software Administrator without being prompted to enter a password?

    Thanks for your help.

    Matt,

Since you don't have a Vista Home Premium, I found another article that describes a way to get around it to make a registry change.

    The following Web site:
    http://www.eCoustics.com/PCW/HOWTO/140134

Vista Home Premium is not the Group Policy Editor. To make the changes in this version, you must change the registry. Before making any changes to the registry, back it up following the instructions in "block Cookies for spying, but keep the most useful" (scroll down to the area of blue text at the bottom of the page).

With your backup of the registry in place, click Start, type regedit and press ENTER. In the tree on the left pane, navigate to Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE. With the icon system selected in the left pane, double-click on ConsentPromptBehaviorAdmin in the right pane. Change the data value to 0, then click on OK. You should see the effect immediately (no restart required).

Not sure if this will help, but thought that I have it send your way.

    Thank you

  • I get an error, the "restricted user" when I try to install a program on the administrator account.

    Original title: usuario restrito

I have two users in my laptop. The two are of me. One is administrator, and the second is a standard user. I set it up like this for more security.

This week I had issues with Real Player, it took too long to open, modify and restore the db. I deleted his PB and it was always damaged for some reason any. So, I decided to remove the real player and do a fresh install.
But I could ' t because I get a message that I am a user 'restricted' (usuario restrito) and need to seek special privileges to the system administrator.
Then, I installed Real Player successfully to the administrator account. And it works. But I can't access it from my normal user account.
    So I have two questions:
    1. How can I install the software in the standard account (overcoming the "restricted" user).

    OR

    2. How can I use the Real Player software installed in my standard account administrator account?

You can allow ordinary users to perform installations by disabling UAC. Not recommended!

Sorry, I can't tell you what the problem is when you run RealPlayer as a standard user. Your report "But I can not access it from my regular user account" is too vague to draw conclusions.
You write "I have two users in my laptop. One is administrator. ' It is a very risky way of running Windows. If your machine develops a problem with your account only admin and then you are in a diabolical situation. Happens all the time... At any time, you must have a spare fully tested and documented, even admin account that you have a spare House key (so that you don't break a window in the case where he lead astray you).
  • I have loaded a program as local administrator and want to use it as a user. How can I do this?

    Product: HP Pavilion P7-1262.

    Windows 7

    No Error Message

    Hello IrvM,

Usually administrator rights often have to install a program, but not necessarily run. When you install the program, it should install for all users.

If not you can try to install the program on the standard user account. When you run the install file, you'll want to right-click on the file and say that it is running as an administrator when doing so, you will need to enter your password.

After installation, the program should always be able to be used on the standard account and should not require administrator rights.

  • My computer won't let me log on to my account directors and cant access programs that need administrator permission

Log cant administrator account and it is not removed is where I was logged in and then shut down my computer and then I could not connect more please help

When I try to log the log service failed and I already tried safe mode and I can get on the account but my computer won't let me access programs and areas requiring permission for administrators

    Hello

When you log in Mode safe mode, it accepts the password for your administrator account? In Safe Mode, open Control Panel and select user accounts. It shows on your account administrator?

If so, while in Safe Mode, select Start Programs/Accessories/tools system. Click on System Restore .

    1. click on the Next button. Place a check mark to show more restore Points.

    2. Select a restore point with a date and time before when you saw for the first time this question.

    3. press the Next button. Click the Finish button.

Start System Restore and restart the computer. Make sure that it ends completely before doing anything.

NOTE: Using Safe Mode system restore is permanent. You will not be able to cancel the system restore process.

    Let us know the results.

  • VERY URGENT: Control by program Users.Status

    Hi all

Can someone tell me how I can control the shape of field Users.Status the code?

Because I foresee activate and deactivate users based on Users.Status. Tell if an employee leaves the company, I need to make this area off without using the administration Console. And allow the user so I rehire the same employee who has left the company.

I'm not able to change the field of User.Status, I tried the FormMetaData.xml editiing and fact this field editable = "true", but still I am not gaining control of it.

To give more information about what I'm doing:
It's my use case - the user is active, then disabled (leaving the company), then after a while the AD account is deleted, then this person comes back... We want to restore this user (activate on behalf of IOM and the AD account available)

    Thank you in advance.

  • Purpose of AP_INTERFACE_CONTROLS in the import program open accounts payable.

    Hello
Can someone explain the purpose of the AP_INTERFACE_CONTROLS table in the open payable import program.

    Concerning
    Deepak

    Hello Deepak.

AP_INTERFACE_CONTROLS is a temporary table that control separate information in the AP_INVOICES_INTERFACE table when you open Interface import Payables. The table ensures that each import must be unique with respect to the combination of SOURCE and GROUP_ID. This allows multiple imports at the same time.
Your income Oracle application deletes the information in this table when you perform an import.
