Programs open to showing only top left of the screen and some programs are huge

origin: headache Visual, even to post this question

I have a dell dimension 3000
Win XP SP3

I have a problem with my video in general: everything happens in my screen showing that only the upper left corner of the screen when I open my browser and components such as the windows Task Manager appear HUGE! (looks like it tries to run in multi-monitor mode sort - but the system has never put up for that, my cursor handles also away from the screen to my right and taskbar are low down and unable to increase... any suggestions?) I tried to play with the resolution settings, but that does not solve the problem

(Sorry if post Q is in bad shape, this is my first post and visit)

Well the reason why I think why your taskbar are cut is very likely due to the monitor settings. On your monitor, you should see a series of buttons. Try to play with them and watch the screen for something like auto or something in that sense. If you do not then you will need to manually change the horizontal and vertical positioning. There are several other settings for the width and height, etc.

And a question, is the video driver installed on the system?

I was Mozilla Firefox under Internet Explore months ago. Very happy with the maintenance functions, etc. A few weeks ago, I received a message from update while doing some work but have not installed the update at that time. Another update message came with a note of support, confused indicating some dangerous consequences if I have not installed the update.
A few keystrokes later and my screen seem to go haywire, and my laptop does not respond to my cursor. I stopped. When I restarted and went to the shortcut of Firefox a tiny icon (1 "x 1/4") replica of a part of the normal screen of Yahoo! Firefox appeared and continues to do so whenever I try to use Firefox. I am now to Internet Explore. HELP me to go back to the use of Mozilla.

Right-click on the image of Firefox in this small window of Firefox and see if there are in this menu popup enlarge . If so, click on enlarge.

To be clear, Yahoo! Firefox is a modified version of the official Firefox program and may have defects that are not in the official version.

  • How to remove the Firefox orange button at the top left of the screen

How remove Firefox orange button at the top left of the screen, it is a serious obstacle to my impulsive reflex hit "File" at the top left of the screen. Is throwing me off the coast of the big time, but also another source of frustration {absent these new version basic navigation features would be the first temporary fixed through 'extension' but until the next version makes it no longer work} [is not a plugin or the Correction-nazis will flood this thread!]

So, how do you remove this huge blazing orange block with the label at the top left of the screen?

I tried to ask this question in another thread, but apparently working away from home for more than one month is the once unthinkable and a sign of decline. This thread is now "archived" and here-car, locked. So I have to make a new thread to ask this again.

A large number of text for a simple problem, but as I've learned since the update de.28 or other, nothing to do with Mozilla is simple. Especially the navigation and functionality. I have yet to wrap my brain around the fact that they slaughtered this program so much in so little time. If java and SWF plugins continued to work on the former, I would have NEVER updated!

The community is much too complacent on these MAJOR issues.

I think that I fixed it by changing the theme to default to something ugly, then return to default... Box orange GONE!

Thank you for your time and patience.

I assume you mean that the to-do bar everything is on the right side instead of the lower part of the screen?

Right-click on an empty spot in the taskbar and unlock it. Grad white spot a drag it down. Relock the taskbar.

  • CS6 Mixer brush dead place near the top left of the screen

    Hey,.

I wonder if anyone else has this problem.

The CS6 mixer brush stops painting and turns into an icon of the hand, with only the finger out, when I paint at the top left of my screen. It is about 2 inches high and 3 inches from left to right.

    I don't have this problem in CS5.5/CS5.1 or CS5.

No one knows what that icon hand with only the index on is for? It is not the move tool icon.

    Thank you!

    .... I would also add that I use Win7 and a Cintiq.

.. .and I would add that the standard brushes do not have this problem at the CS6.

It sounds like what happens if the brush preview window is visible in this area.

(View > show > overview of brush)

You use one of the brushes with the mixer brush-haired?

Does make a difference if you use a standard round brush with the mixer brush?

You have installed all updates Photoshop cs6?

  • Extrinsic 0 at the top left of the screen (above the tabs)

I'm working on apex.oracle.com, so the version is Application Express 4.2.5.00.08.

I obviously did something to cause this, but I don't know what.  A single zero (0) began to appear on the screen, all the way at the top left, above the tabs.  When the system goes from one page to another, the value 0 is always there, and it is visible on each page of the application.  It doesn't seem to be affected anything whatsoever, but it shouldn't be there.

Any ideas where I can start looking?

This is usually due to make calls of package HTP in the wrong time or mangled HTML/JavaScript somewhere. As it appears on each page, look at the "global" components such as global pages (page zero), methods of application, a code of database Session initialization/cleanup JavaScript files referenced in the page templates, page templates themselves etc.

View the page source and see if you can identify it in there. (It will not necessarily at the or near the Summit, and a single '0' may be difficult to find...)

Check the browser console to find JS errors.

The source of the page and paste in the W3C HTML Validator (required to submit this way as it will refuse the URL apex.oracle.com).

Post a link to the application and connection information, and we see ourselves...

  • My desktop icons are moving to the left of the screen and reset of average size.

Recently I connected to my laptop Toshiba Satellite Pro to find my desktop icons lined up on the left of the screen on the average size.

I've always had my icons implemented as/where I want them and on small.

After right click on the desktop, I found that the medium-sized icons is checked and the Auto Align box is also checked / I unchecked those boxes and replaced my icons where I wish it and restarted my laptop... to find the icons back to the left and back to middle size!

I just spent about 12 hours to try to resolve this problem.
I use XP and I started having problems as soon as I booted up.
I tried several options.  Right-click on an empty area of the desktop, System Restore, using my free anti-virus, Avast, but nothing worked, whenever I rebooted the icons moved to the left of the screen.
My final solution was to use a piece of free software called "Malwarebytes".
I ran the scan quick option nd about 18 minutes, he began to identify items of malicious programs.
In total, there were 4 pieces.  When "Malwarebytes" asked what I wanted to do, I chose 'delete '.
I had to "reboot" before the changes have taken effect, and I am pleased to report that it does not work with gusto.
I used 'AVAST' when I first add the problem and he found several problems on my hard drive but when I asked to remove them I received a message that the last four items could not be found.
It seems these are ones I finally removed with "Malwarebytes".
I loaded the latest version of AVAST because I find it does not slow down my PC and if I have other problems to suck, I'll use what I can find.
I hope that this help those with similar problems with the icons on the desktop etc.

  • I just started doing 2 sets of Japanese letters on each side of my Mozilla Firefox tab located at the top left of the screen

I have my page tabs of Mozilla Firefox at the top of the screen that travelled horizontally. Without worrying how many tabs I can have open, one currently used (or wing) recently started showing Japanese lettering/words on both sides of the active tab itself. They are only on the active tab, none of the others have nothing on them except the heading search that I may have on that. As I close the tabs, the Japanese lettering follows and will remain on both sides whose tab is currently viewing.

The extension of McAfee SiteAdvisor has been reported to cause problems with CJC (Chinese) text that appear on the tabs, so you can disable this extension.

  • XPS 9000 froze and restart does not start - get the cursor flashing, top left of the screen

System was working normally and after some time froze - no mouse movement, clock does not move, etc.

Did a stop down with the power button (hold down 10 sec +) to stop.

On switching on, does not pass through the boot sequence.  F2 does nothing and the only sigh of 'life' is a blinking cursor, upper left corner of the screen.  Tried to close - turn several times with the same result.

I suspect a motherboard problem because there is no start. Don't know any other tricks to try to resuscitate the box.

Does anyone have experience/solution for this type of problem?

    WGR,

As there is no "beeps", I guess as a failed motherboard.

Try the following, if you are comfortable working around computers:

Note: The only 100% POWER supply test method, is to install a known working power.

Unplug the power cord, hold the power button in for about 15-20 seconds, open the case, disconnect the power connector 24-pin motherboard and jumping the Green wire to one of the black wires, plug in the power cord and the power of the system, if food and case fans and disk hard drive performance then the power supply should be good.

Note: Do not remove the wires from the plug, use a small piece of wire or a paper clip as a rider.

Excerpt from power supply, again, unplug the power cord, hold the power button again for 15/20 seconds to discharge residual power, reconnect the connector 24 pin to the motherboard.
Remove all the computer PCI cards, remove the video card [as appropriate], disconnect all devices, except the monitor, mouse and keyboard and unplug cable power & data of all readers.

Reconnect the power cord and power the system on, see if you get something different from the LED on the power button, or any 'beeps '.

No difference, remove the system memory and try again.

Still shows no signs of life while looking at a motherboard replacement & maybe a processor.

Note: The good news is, processors lack rarely, being the only method I know to check a processor, install a compatible work PC, or use a known job processing.

Unfortunately the Dell OEM XPS 9000 renovated/new motherboards are not cheap.

    Bev.

  • When I start Firefox, it shows nothing more than a black screen and all toolbars are empty as well

Title says it all. Every time I start Firefox, the screen is black. Where the buttons of the browser would be (buttons previous/next, toolbars, bookmarks, etc.), is a light background that does not display anything. Any help would be appreciated.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/tools > Modules > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem.

    • Put yourself in the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/tools > Modules > appearance
    • Do NOT click on the reset button on the startup window Mode safe

It is possible that your security (firewall, antivirus) software blocks or limit Firefox or the process of plugin-container without you inform, possibly after the detection of changes (update) for the Firefox program.

Delete all rules for Firefox and the plugin-container in the permissions list in the firewall and allow your firewall to ask permission to get access full and unrestricted, again to install for Firefox and the plugin-container and the update process.

  • Open a read-only text field using the button and javascript

    Hello

I have a form with text fields that I préremplira data. The text fields will be in read-only by default. I want to ensure that when a user wants to make changes, he will need to click on a button and in turn, background of the text field will become gray and he can make changes to the text field. I can already do gray running in background, but I can't make the text box open.

This is the code that will run after the button is clicked:

    color.ltGray = new Array ("G", 0.75);

    this.getField('TestField').fillColor = color.ltGray;

    this.getField('TestField').access = "open";

Background of the text box becomes gray, but it is always read-only. Any ideas?

If you have created the form in Acrobat (as opposed to LiveCycle Designer), change the last line to:

    this.getField('TestField').readonly = false;
