Project of TV via HDMI

New HP f010na, try to connect to Samsung tv with HDMI. The laptop can detect the screen, but TV shows the message 'mode not supported' FRO the HDMI connection. Anyone got any ideas?

Thank you very much.

Hello again Colinmac2005,

Thanks for the quick response!

Regarding the error message from your TV, I recommend that you follow the steps described in this document I have a peripheral connected HDMI. This resource ensures that the type of connection to the HDMI cable is correct for the resolution of your TV.

The reason why I proposed to test your laptop on a different screen is to ensure that the HDMI from laptop functions work properly, as well as try another cable.

I also suggest to reinstall the graphics drivers for your laptop, which can be downloaded and installed by clicking on the link below:

  1. sp68117.exe
  2. sp68116.exe
  3. sp66096.exe
  4. sp66105.exe

Once the software is installed, you will also want to ensure that the refresh rate of your computer is 59 or 60. This is possible by following the steps below:

Step 1. Click the icon on the Start Menu

Step 2. Type "Control Panel."

Step 3. Select "Control Panel".

Step 4. Select 'view '.

Step 5. Find "change display settings.

Step 6. Click "Advanced settings".

Step 7. Click on the "Monitor" tab

Step 8. Change the "screen refresh rate" 59 or 60 Hertz

Step 9. Click 'apply '.

Please re-post with the results of your troubleshooting, and I look forward to your response!

  • MacBook Pro & Samsung Smart TV: could not get the display via HDMI

    Hi Forum members,

I'm not able to get the display of macbook to smart tv via HDMI cable.  Here are some of the conclusions that I have. Can someone please shed some light on this weird question.

MacBook Pro Rentina 13 "El Capitan 10.11.5.

    Samsung Smart TV 48 "UA48J6200

    Crush - HDMI cable.

    -TV says 'No Signal'.

-J' checked the cable is good since I'm able to get my Dell Latitude processors E7450 and controller display.

-Go to Preferences > display. I see no possibility to detect the display etc...

-Able to connect same macbook to the sony smart tv at my friend using the same cable and it's all good.

At this point, I am not able to understand where is the problem... TV or Macbook

    Thank you.

Hmm. Have you tried to get your friend or someone connect to your Samsung Smart TV?  It does seem like your Macbook or the cable are the issue.

Edit: actually re read your post. I think that to see the option detect go to Preferences > poster under view press on and hold down the option key. bottom right, it should appear.

  • Toshiba 46TL938: 3D playback choppy when PC to TV via HDMI

    Hello

I have a very specific problem and cannot identify exactly what the problem maybe. In short:

-J' have a 3D film which is read by VLC but also KMplayer.
-On my monitor 23 "1080 p via HDMI, the film plays well enough and smooth.
-On my Toshiba 46 "HDTV playback on 3D sometimes accused, exactly the same thing when a computer cannot handle the load and the shifts on video playback.
-J' tried to put the film on a USB and connect it to the TV. Then playback of 3D on the TV was really smooth without any lag.

If the facts are executives work well on a HD 23 "(playedback with VLC and KMplayer) monitor, but also run smooth on my laptops screen."
Fact is also that the same movie plays smooth a Flash USB plugged into the TV.

I tried with another movie (no 3D) listen to from my laptop via HDMI on my TV. This worked pretty well without any lag.

    (1) so my main question is if the movie is not correct, why play it right back via a USB, but not through my laptop.

    (2) in addition, if my computers vga portable would be unable to handle the 1080, I guess that reading also lag on my monitor 23 "which is also 1080.

I have really no idea if it's the movie, TV or vga that has the problem.
    Any suggestion would be great.

    Thank you in advance.

    Hardware information:
    TV: Toshiba 46TL938

    Hello

I put t thinks that his TV show.
First of all using USB flash memory, the movie is managed by Toshiba media player and second the data does not need to be send via cable.

The notebook movie streaming, you send the signal to the TV via an HDMI cable. 3D movies contains a lot of data and this could affect the playback quality streaming of data from one device to another.

So if you have seen some interruptions during playback, it could be linked to the HDMI cable.
If your HDMI connection is capable of 1080 p and/or your TV is capable of greater than 50 Hz refresh rate, need you a cable of category 2. Conventional HDMI/DVI cable may not work properly with this model. Also try a short cable (1.5 to 2 m)

You should also consult the user manual * 88.* page
The HDMI on the TV inputs accept the VGA, SVGA, XGA, WXGA and SXGA signal formats that are
as shown in table _page 88_ VESA-compatible.

Since some PC and HDMI or DVI input signals of devices which differ of the resolution and frequency that are described in the table, the following phenomenon can happen; _incorrect display, detection of fake format, failure of position photo, blur or judder_.

In this case, set the monitor output on your PC, HDMI or DVI device to conform to a signal in the table you will find in the user manual.

  • Toshiba 42WL67Z - no picture via hdmi and vga

    Hello

After a power outage, my 42WL67Z (Regza LCD) no longer displays a picture via hdmi and vga.

The computer receives a TV signal, it detects the screen when connected and offers the usual option (duplicate or prolong the display, screen resolution), but no image is displayed.

    The OSD works well.

    Ideas?

    > Ideas?

I think that you first need to connect to another device (DVD player, Blu - Ray player, etc.) on television and must choose the right channel to enter the settings.
If TV continues not to receive all the signals of such device, it means you have a hardware problem.

  • Satellite T110 - 10 X - multichannel sound (5.1) via HDMI?

This laptop plays through its HDMI 5.1 channel sound? I want to use like "movie player" for Full HD movies, but need to know if I'll be able to use multichannel audio via HDMI connected to the AV receiver.

Does anyone have experience with this?

    Hello

Theoretically, it is possible to have the audio 5.1 via a HDMI cable but your s AV receiver must support this feature. Therefore, you should check the user manual.

By the way: I founded to interesting articles on the audio output:

External resolution mainly depends on the graphics chip.
The external support resolution max is: * 2048 x 1536 * (via the VGA Port)
The HDMI-CEC output port provides the 1080 p max signal

    Hey guys,.

So I just bought a brand new Toshiba Satellite A665-S5183X and it works very well with my new little room LCD TV via HDMI and connects automatically when I plug the HDMI.

HOWEVER, my old 42 '' Plasma connected via HDMI won't recognize the other. The TV says it is not receiving a signal and the laptop does not appear a 2ndary display in the graphics settings. The works of HDMI cord and I watch COX via HDMI to the older plasma TV.

    What gives?

    Hello

If you have connected the laptop to a monitor press external combination of keys FN + F5 to switch between monitors. Also, make sure that the cable is connected before you turn on both monitors. Then turn on the TV and select the correct channel to HDMI input, now, turn on the laptop.

  • Toshiba 46WL768 - abandonment of the photo while streaming from a PC via HDMI

I believe I have exactly the same problem for a year on my 46WL768 when running from a computer via HDMI.
The problem seems to be related to the level of the input signal that happens much more often a source of the computer, but seems to be the same problem you describe clear or too dark.

I tried all versions of firmware that I can find.
I tried, as far as I know, all combinations of each including triggering turnng the options in each mode of TV (something still on in-House who controls this however, no matter what you do).
I tried several computers and several graphics cards very expensive.
I even sent listed you for repair where a number of parts, including the motherboard have been replaced (as a precaution because they could not find the same question, yet I can reproduce instantly).

You can make it less annoying by opting for one of the default views Hollywood, but you can't, in my experience, get rid of it. Your only two options seem to be flashing constantly with a very high level of responses for actions on the screen, or it is less often stumble but have an image on the screen "lag". If you look at the Movies TV/no-act, the second option is not too bad but there not acceptable for computer use which is what I use it for.

The problem, as I understand it, is once the bright/dark ratio of the image displayed on the screen will over/under a certain level of relaxation, the screen flashes on an another secondary display mode and the white you see is this switch.

Maybe you should try to disable some additional features like local sponsorpark, clean scan, view auto or erase the image.
AutoView mode automatically adjusts the picture settings based on the ambient light conditions and input signal.

Also recommend that you use the PC mode in case the laptop is connected. PC mode is available in mode of RGB/PC Input / input HDMI

  • Satellite C660-1RQ cannot connect via HDMI to the NEC projector

    Hello.

    I have laptop Toshiba C660-1RQ.
It can not connect via HDMI to the NEC projector.
I tried many drivers - the 268,57 (taken from the Toshiba site) to the new 331.58

I thought, that it my problem, but the same lapto (my friend work - we have a few these notebooks in company) works well...

And my HDMI works with monitors, TV (but sometimes!), etc.

I don't know what to do...

    > And my HDMI works with monitors, TV (but sometimes!), etc.

If s computer laptop HDMI port works correctly in relationship with other devices, I think that the problem is related to your laptop.

What happens exactly when the projector is connected? Can you pass to the external video using the FN + F5 key combination?

The use of Fn + F5 keys can toggle between internal and external display.
