  The last statement in your investigation could very well solve the problems you meet; the fact that you are missing the compact power adapter from Canon.  It is built in the lithium battery that needs to be connected to the wall outlet to charge.  So in fact, you should have connect compact adapter to the camcorder, plug it into the wall and leave it plugged in for 24 hours with the power off.  Just charge the main battery by itself will not do the trick.

  We suspect that you don't notice it until now because the battery recharges to last about three months before it goes dead and needs a complete.  If you wish no longer to find the original compact PSU or consider ordering a new to replace.

  Try using Ctrl-Shift-R or Ctrl-F5 to reload the page. This tells Firefox to reload all the content on the page, ignoring cached assets copies.

  I don't know why this is happening in the first place, although I suspect it may have something to do with the fact that the remote copy is loaded from a web server (including a bunch of headers allowing browsers to know when we need to get a new copy of an asset), while the local copy is loaded directly into the file system.

  As you are able to boot to the desktop in Mode safe, it means that the third-party application prevents the computer from starting in normal mode.   You are right about the source of this problem - HP recovery media often has problems of restoring the operating system on a smaller disk in quality than appeared on.

  There are a few options available.

  1. if the 750 GB drive is still able to operate, use your recovery media to perform a factory reset and then use software (or Windows 7 own imaging utility) for this clone of your SSD.

  2 create your own recovery media to use to run the installation - it would be my personal preference.

  Before you try the following, make sure that you can always read the character product activation key 25 on your label Windows COA (5 blocks of 5 alphanumeric games).

  An example of a COA label can be seen here.

  You can create an installation disk yourself using another PC - just download the good Disk Image ( this must be the version exact same origin supplied with your laptop ) from the link below and use an app like ImgBurn to burn the ISO correctly on a blank DVD - a guide on the use of ImgBurn to write that an ISO on a disc is here.  These Images are clean and a well respected source, however there are only limited versions available.
