  I'm trying to download MSN on my "BOLD".  I change the language to English, click on the terms, conditions, and then next.  Then, I get the following error message:

  Error: Invalid manifest or application descriptor.

  The "MIDlet-Name" attribute is missing.

• BlackBerry smartphones trying to download the app from Directv

  It is only available on the Directv website. I select "BOLD" as my camera because the torch is not an option and the download comes up as a dot jad file. It won't open with any program on my laptop. How can I get the app from directv on my lamp? It is not that difficult.

  I have the DirecTV app on my flashlight since Oct 2010 (when I switched to digital TV), and I had no probs with it, other than my OS update that I did yesterday, who have somehow wiped out the app Grr...

  Went to the site via a browser of my torch DirecTV.com (your torch can gain access to the file, not your PC), scroll to the bottom of the page web & clicked on the link 'download app' which is about 1.2 MB in size. This takes you to another web page to choose which device you have.  For the torch, select 'BlackBerry Storm 9500 series (OS 4.7 or higher). This will launch the installation process.

  Since I got the app before, he asked me to check I want to install "Planner" when another already there (this is the same version number as my original install). I went ahead & he did it for you, I could make sure it works.

  Once the installation is complete, it gives you the choice to the installation of 'Ok' or 'Run' I chose "run."  Loads of app (may take a few minutes based on the memory of your torch) to the login screen.  Enter the email that you have registered your DirecTV account, enter the password, and then click 'connection '.  You should be ready to go out, except if you have forgotten your user name, as I! LOL * stem *.

  Oh, almost forgot to mention that some features requires you to be within walking distance (i.e., same room) as the receiver in order to access these features... a bit like the use of your lamp torch as a remote control.  So you want to make sure that you do not use the app to work if it is for a function that needs you to be in the same room. ;-)

• BlackBerry smartphones updated the OS for BB Bold 9930 - BBM has DISAPPEARED!

  I upgraded by OS for my BB Bold 9930.  Once the software has been loaded, my BBM icon has disappeared.

  1. I opened all the files, showing all the icons, etc, and it is not anywhere to be found.

  2. my BB Apps says that he is always downloaded... it WILL NOT I would delete the app to reinstall.

  3. I rebooted my phone several times and it still does not appear.

  Try this,

  1. using the BlackBerry browser, go to www.blackberry.com/bbm
  2. Download and install (if you are prompted to allow version x.xx crush verson x.xx?, say YES)
  3. Perform a simple reboot on the BlackBerry this way: with smart BlackBerry poweredphone, remove the battery for a minute and then reinsert the battery to restart.
  4. Now find and configuration BBMessenger.

• I tried to download for kb973636 auto update and got an error code 646, then I've done a manual download and got an error code 1327 showing invalid drive: o:\ location, how can I change the drive to c:\ drive.

  I had trouble to download the kb973636 update as it failed and I got the error code 646.  So I did a manual download to computer and got the error code 1327 telling me I have invalid drive o:\ and not c:\ drive somewhere.  How can I fix it and it will not happen in the future?    Ronald E Fish

  Recently, I tried to download and install the LITE APP VLINGO from Blackberry App World on my Curve 8320. Download hung on and every time I try to access the app, it's of no use.   The application cache cleaning can help:

  1. open the App World

  2. go to my world

  3. for the BB keyboard-oriented - hold down the ALT key and press on, in the sequence R, then S, then T

  3. for Storm/Pearl - hold the num-lock (! 123 button) so that it hangs and then press on, in the sequence 3, then 4, then)

  4A. If your BB locks after issuing clear cache, do a battery pull reboot

  I have a flashlight and recently uninstalled Twitter for BlackBerry and installed Uber Twitter instead. Since I found that I prefer the former. However, now I can not install Twitter for BlackBerry. He told me that my device does not meet the requirements.

  Maybe it's because Twitter for BlackBerry is currently being updated.  Start by following these steps:

  1. with the unit, remove the battery for 15-30 seconds, then reinsert and wait for the device to reboot.  This will ensure that you start with a clean slate.

  2. If you have BlackBerry AppWorld, try to open AppWorld and search for Twitter here.  Twitter for BlackBerry app should be listed first.  You can then download the Twitter app from there.  This will actually give you the most up-to-date version.

  3. If this does not work, or if you don't have App World installed on your device, try to download it again from http://www.blackberry.com/twitter via your BlackBerry browser.  Now that you've done the battery pull and provided all the files are gone, you should be able to download it.

  If she won't even download, let us know.  Perhaps it is that the servers are updated and which is interrupt your ability to download.  If necessary, I'll ask another user of torch to see if it can access the download.  If he can't, then we will move the info along to those who can check it out further.

  I am trying to download the new application TiVo, but appworld says not available for my device or carrier.  It is not compatible with the TiVo application start page: I have a 9630 and I'm with Verizon (on a BES) in the United States.  I was able to download other applications without problem.

  I have updated the application appworld itself, earlier in the day today.

  I rebooted and also tried a battery pull but no joy.

  Is there something I need to do to the idea of referesh appworld in my device + carrier, or is this a problem at the end of wheels?

I find an app that I want to and click on the download button then it asks me to connect my phone that is already connected to my laptop via USB! Then the page hangs and does not go further!   Try not to have your device connected while you are looking for application and then when it asks that you connect your device, and then connect it via USB.

  Little new here and really wrong with uploading the photos of my press card. (the download worked in the past)

  Here's what happens:

  Open the Desktop Manager

  connect blackberry, enter passwords

  Select media--> photo card, as soon as I click on the pictures in the folder office bluescreens and must power down.

  I can see all the photos on the blackberry

  I uninstalled and reinstalled Office Manager

  I have charged the Director of bureau to another computer and tried to download with the same result - bluescreen.

  There is hope: do not use the Media Manager.

  Do not open the Desktop Manager. Simply plug the blackberry. Look at his screen, at one point, that he will ask for the 'Mass Storage' mode. Say yes, and the Blackberry will appear in your Windows Explorer as an external hard drive. Your photos are in the folder Pictures\.
