Provisioning limited license breach

We rebooted the VCS and now the message appear that "Provisioning limits are set by Cisco TMS. Where can I change the number of configured endpoints?

Use you MSD - PE?

On TMS under administrative tools > Configuration > General settings - at the bottom of the page there is a section of keys option, we have an option key - Cisco TMS Provisioning Extension (nnn active clients/devices)

where nnn is the number of devices we have configured on the system

  • Thin provisioning - limited extension of data store

Hello, we are running VSphere and thin supply function is very useful because most servers have a small car footprint so we can get in a lot more servers on the storage available.

However, given that the space is not allocated statically and some servers have increased over time it could lead to what they eventually consume space on the entire data store which essentially stops all machines on the data store as well.

This should certainly be avoided and since we want to use the extra space for provisioning end data store is of course more affected, but is it possible to somehow apply a limit of growth when the data store is almost out of storage if the system does not lower because of any unexpected expansion?

Indeed, it is better that an expansion server fails due to too little space instead of down all other servers on the data store so how this can be avoided iin way smoothful? Thank you!

You can also add an event to the alarm that will be Storage vMotion virtual machine to a larger LUN if you have the license for him.

  • Fix license problems after hardware?

    From: Sluggofish

I'm looking for answers because nobody seems to be able to tell me.

I have a laptop that uses a limited license being that it is limited to a machine.  In this case, my laptop.

I had some problems and he sent for repair.  It needs a new motherboard and for $ 25 more, I allowed a better processor, always 32 bit, but 1.7 Ghz to 2.3 Ghz.  He couldn't not bad for $ 25.

I have not received the return system, but last night it dawned on me that the license is dedicated to the same machine.  I'm sure that Windows Vista Ultimate 32-bit will recognize a change.

Is that going to be a problem?  Anyone know?

    Karl

    From: motarola2

There is no problem in changing the CPU, the operating system will recognize a new one. I have rarely seen after a replacement motherboard Windows would not recognize the product key, I think you just re-enter the case.

so, Yes, your computer should work perfectly.

  • Cisco Telepresence Server/Cisco Telepresence driver/Cisco VCS - C / Cisco TMS license

A big problem with the fact that I'm stuck is licensing. Really, I have tried many things to find the solution for it, but could not.

I have actually made all of these servers (mentioned in the title) in my lab in preparation for the CCNP Collaboration certification at home.

I am not able to complete some laboratories due to license issue (I guess). Y at - it an option to get the demo license for all these servers?

I would be really greatfull if someone can suggest me the solution and/or the licenses required to complete all the stuff for my CCNP Collab tag.

    Best regards

    Dipak Singh

TMS and VCS - C when installed without licenses, are automatically set mode of demonstration/test with some availability of license to test with. If needing a VCS-E, you will need to do to your account manager and they should be able to get you the time limited licenses good because I think that 90 days.

Conductor Essentials is free, which means that you can install and get full functionality without the need of all licenses, but you are limited to 1 conference bridge and no grouping is allowed.

TelePresence Server require licenses to function, once again, reaching out to your account manager for this.

At the end of the day, you should reach to your account manager for all of this, as they should be able to help get timed license if you need.

  • License number of PIX

    Dear all,

Am I right for the limited license in PIX, I can't activate the failover? In other words, once I activated the license for failover, the PIX must be permitted without restrictions.

    Thank you and best regards,

    Raymond

Yes you are right. Failover will not work on a permit restricted on the firewwall either primary or secondary. Need a permit without restrictions on primary school and the same failover license or secondary.

  • WebCenter of licensing.

I have a few questions about webcenter licenses.

1 is the right forum to ask? If this isn't the case, please guide me the right one?

We have built an ADF/WebCenter application. We use webcenter mainly to the creation of Menu (navigation hierarchy model), Page (Pages.xml) security, content presenter RIDC API to interact programmatically with the AAU.

Our goal is to reduce the cost of webcenter license, based on some configurations. Client sets a flag in the database table (say USE_WEBCENTER_FEATURE = "Y/N"), based on its value, we would like to use webcenter or not.

    1. for example content-presenter, I'll put a condition on the task workflow content-presenter link and turn it on only if the customer has configured. My project libraries webcenter and I think to operate correctly on client instance, maybe I need to ask them to extend their server weblogic with webcenter. To sum up, we will have libraries but do not use their project. It will also cost licensing fees.

2 belongs to RIDC webcenter library or I can use it without webcenter?

    3. is free license with ADF WebCenter?

    4. what all the licenses that we must take, weblogic? ADF?, WebCenter?

    5. is there a way to deploy ADF/Webcenter application server JBoss? If so, what license would I need to buy?

    Thank you

    Sanjeev

announcement 1. If you deploy libraries of the WebCenter Framework on a server, you need to their license. You may, however, modify your application so that it deploys libraries only if the option is enabled. I would also recommend to go with an ASFU rather than the full license or non-use model. Contact your local Oracle sales reps (or channel managers) and discuss it with them.

AD 2. CRMI is included in the WebCenter, not licenses WebCenter portal content. WCP contains only a limited license of the WCC, so if you want to communicate with WCC directly (without going through the WCP), you will need license WCC as well. There is also a license of the suite that contains everything, called WebCenter Suite Plus.

Ad 3. # WebCenter framework is an add-on for ADF and if you want to use (as the composer mentioned) you need a license.

Ad 4. AFAIK, Weblogic Server (which contains the ADF) is not included in the license of WebCenter portal, so you have Enterprise Edition, WebCenter Portal WLS, possibly WebCenter content or simply WebCenter Suite Plus

ad 5. N ° some WebCenter products like WebCenter content also run on Websphere. JBOSS is on the roadmap, but for the moment only Weblogic provides the platform for the entire stack.

  • Oracle developer license

    Hello

My client has an Oracle database under license. I would like to restore it's dump to create and separate environment locally at my company.

Due to the size of data files, I can't use the Express version.

I intend to install another version 11g that has the size of database unilimited.

I would like to know if I need to buy a license for this purpose.

    Thank you!

in fact, just read the text of the license of the free 11g R2 enterprise download:

  • A question about the license of Oracle 1 g R2 Enterprise Edition

    Hi all

I have a question about Oracle license and I would be grateful if you could help me thanks.

I installed an Oracle (11g R2 Enterprise edition) server on a virtual linux machine. The pc being used for this purpose
is my cell phone company (so a professional and not a personal computer). However, I use this Oracle Server
only for the purpose, i.e. learning only to run the examples in my Oracle Press books (SQL, PL/SQL and some)
administrative tasks) just to learn things.

There is absolutely no data related to my business, stored or used on this server. Whenever I want to work with my
data of the company, I use the Oracle server of the company that has the appropriate license of course. So, as I said, I
Use this server of the company on the virtual machine only to run applications/programs in my Oracle Press books just for
learning and I'm the only person who uses this server (no remote for other users).

The reason why I needed to install this server on my PC, is that our DBA could not provide a training environment
for me, with all the privileges and features.

Should I buy a license for this Enterprise Server installed on my virtual machine?

    Thanks in advance,
    Dariyoosh

  • Request to license Oracle Data Guard

Nice day! at all. I don't know if this is already asked before, but I would like to ask for your help regarding my inquiry.

We have an Oracle 10 g Database EE here in our company which is established in a RAC (2 nodes and 1 SAN). Of course, that are already approved.

We intend to implement the Oracle Data Guard.

Of course the Oracle Data Guard will run voluntarily for a disaster recovery, in the case that our CARS (especially the SAN) will crash, we would like to have a stand physically separated by our primary database server (stand by server is completely separate to our existing main server) server.

    My questions are:

    1. don't we have to take advantage of a new license for custody of data?
    2. what other license should we acquire for the above settings?
    3. we would have a separate Installation of Oracle database on the standby server?
    4. If we have a named user license 150 on the primary database should purchase us a new license user named 150 for the confirmation Server?
    5. are there other things I have to consider in what concerns the granting of licenses for our project?

OK, here's how my speailist license put, Data Guard as a product is free, but is not the database instance. A physical standby is a database, it must be so licensed, however the expert of the license indicates that licenses you buy for the execution of the physical standby can be ubtained at a substantially reduced rate as they would be called limited licenses. It's not data hold is the cost, it is the cost of an another database on another machine. According to you, current license, you can be covered however, you may not. Everything I say is call a specialist to license Oracle Metalink support, call the guy or gal who has sold you Oracle licenses or appeal and certified Oracle partner/reseller can help you with a specialist of the license and have a licensing discussion/examination before implementation. Oracle support is not those who understand the licenses and how this all works, he did this and like them, always thought that data guard and physical databases Eve were free and included and recently corrected, hard enough I might add.

  • Products of disk cleanup does not not to remove older restore points

Hi, I use Vista Home Premium sp2, and although I had this problem for a long time, I barely had time to ask about it.

I have a separate drive (physically) for my backup/restore points, whenever it fills the only way I can do anything or is to format the drive and try again. Both Vista and CCleaner fail to create a disk space when asked to remove older restore points. There is no error message; They seem to work, but no free space appears on the disc.

In fact, the only software that I can remember that actually create any space by deleting old restore points was the Norton AV that was shipped with the system, but it was on a limited license that has expired for a long time.

All the advice to avoid the trouble of formatting the hard drive and create a new backup from scratch would be greatly appreciated!

    Hello

I think you're confused of Restore Points and backups of your files or a backup of the operating system image.

Restore Points, who put your computer's settings back to an earlier point in time, are saved on your system, C: drive, not on another drive.

Backups of files or System Image backups you save to other media; an another hard drive, etc.

Disk Cleanup and CCleaner does not remove files or backups of the system; You must do it manually.

    See you soon.

  • HP Laserjet Pro M451dn: Problem on a computer with the printer fonts

    Hello

We have three computers that seem to be running the same configuration.  The problem occurs with Microsoft Publisher as follows:

-On both computers, when specific documents are called, they work fine and fine print

-A computer, when particular documents are called, we get the error: "load fonts - information on the police below shows what fonts are embedded in your publication or are unavailable - Goudy/unknown/not available & Goudy ExraBold/unknown/not available."

I checked all computers and confirmed that the same TTF are installed, even to copy fonts goudy from one computer to another to ensure that they are the same.

When I go into one of the computers that work and look at the "commercial fonts" section in Microsoft Publisher, it tells me that:

    Police = Goudy

    font type = printer

    Police source = system

    Police = Goudy ExtraBold

    font type = printer

    police source = system

I tried to install the latest drivers for the M451dn of Laserjet Pro, but the fonts are not yet available. I have no idea on how printer vs TTF fonts. If it were an FTT, I would simply copy, but I don't know how to fix this computer to access the printer fonts.  Any help will be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you

    Jeff

    > fonts, I'm looking are listed as "Additional PS emulation fonts" for a different model printer.  When a non-PS driver is used, the driver can always access these fonts...

I don't know for certain, but I guess these "Fonts additional PS emulation" can probably be used only if you are using a PostScript printer driver.

If you use a printer PCL5 or PCL6 (PCL XL) driver, then these policies probably are not accessible.

EDIT: I found an online source for one of these PS_12542.ttf (= Goudy) fonts, and it doesn't seem to be a valid TrueType font that (in theory) can probably be used by other pilots.

But this policy has a "limited" license, which means that it cannot be incorporated in the documents:

It is possible (probable?-I don't know) that support routines and standard printer drivers that you cannot use this policy as a "source" for temporary downloaded fonts "smoothly."

  • How to transfer Windows to a new HD

Just bought 2 computers restored to Optiplex 745 - now I need to know if it is possible to get Windows 7 (which the new machines come with installed) on the HD 500 GB that came out of my old machine. It has 6 partitions which is empty, then Windows could go... he couldn't? The other partitions have 2 versions of Linux on them... and I would have the choice to start one of them. I can accomplish with GRUB, boot Linux... I * think * will also start Windows.

The problem is to get Windows from the original concert 80 HD the Dell device on the 500 gig HD.

Any suggestions would be most welcome.

For the novice, it would be much easier to use the windows 7 "backup and restore" function available maintenance in Start button (all programs) make a "system repair disc" and then make an image of the 'system' tab saved on a drive hard usb. Then remove the old 80 GB hdd and install your new hdd 500 GB in your old 745 and use the "system repair disc" your previously created to start your OP745 (from CD) and recover the image of the 'system' previously saved on the drive hard usb to this most recent 500 GB hard drive. Note that this will normally destroy all data on your hard drive to 500 GB and create the startup partitions and system Win7 requires (just as he was on the 80 GB HDD), must be notified. Then you can repartition the hard drive as required and reinstall the other linux os to these new partitions as you wish.

More advanced users may be able to copy partitions Windows required one HARD disk to another with the help of a partition to be the tool of cloning and then adapt their GRUB installation to launch the new partition to Win. But it is more complex and may still problems with your linux OS that you start now on another computer (assuming that your old machine who has donated to the 500 GB hard drive was not also an Optiplex 745 who did not (so possibly why you bought 2 machines refurbished x))...

Oh and windows can indeed be transferred from an old HDD to another more recent more disk HARD content in one system (motherboard, processor, graphics card, etc.) without any reactivation problems, otherwise can not update their hard drive which we've all done without running for the lack of our terms of use.

What you can not do is to take a key win7 to say an old Dell Optiplex 745 and move this license to a PC newly built using a new motherboard, cpu, graphics card, hdd, etc all in the same old case... it is not allowed with these ~ $50 OEM limited licenses, if you indeed do such with full retail $300 licenses...

  • Do I really need two firewall waterfall?

    Hello

I have a small ISP and I now have ISA2000 firewall, I'm supposed to put Cisco PIX firewall, someone tell me I should put two firewall, the Pix and the ISA in cascade mode (should I really do it?) is the Cisco firewall enough for me.

The second question: what Pix is enough for me (501, 506E or 515E)

I have about 500 users with dowonload 4 Mbps and 512 Kbps upload).

    Thanks in advance

From the information provided here, I see no reason why you would need a PIX both the ISA firewall. The PIX should work fine by itself.

As for the models of PIX to use, would have erred on the side of done something a bit bigger you have to right now. The 506E is enough power for your current needs, but it's a 2 fixed chassis interface. If you think that you will ever need one other interface or more power, you probably better to go with a 515E with a restricted license (limited license for now, because it can always be improved later). The 515E with the limited license will allow you to add another interface for the PIX later if you need to create a DMZ network ' ed. The license of the HEART on the 515E provides more interfaces if necessary.

    I hope this helps.

    Scott
