Proxy Server adding custom in E2500

Hi all

I am unable to locat an article here or Google about my question.

I'm wanting to add a proxy server in a default configuration of Linksys E2500 for content filtering.

The server is in the format: proxy.company.com

When it is added to the Internet Options of a computer when it says computer tries to access the Internet invites you to a login page of "blocked.company.com/authenticate" where they need to type a user/pass to access the Internet.

Could someone advise me if I could add this in a Linksys E2500?

AFAIK none model Linksys do support this type of functionality.

If you were using Firefox 3.6. 4 or higher, a new preference has been added to the preferences of the proxy connection settings in tools > Options > Advanced Options > > tab network - connection = settings = use system proxy settings

Set your settings to connect to the 'No proxy', if you are not using a proxy.

Firefox 3.6.6 added a new preference for connection settings, use proxy Panel"system settings", and the default value is the point. " This new preference does not affect most users, because they probably do not have a proxy set in place in their operating system. Therefore, most users should use the setting "no proxy".

  • LAN Proxy Server settings are not retained

I get an error of security proxy server credentials when connecting to Office365 from the local network connected PC Split HP runnng Windows 8.1.  We use a proxy server.

When I check the control panel configuration, internet options, Connections tab, network, under the proxy server section settings button the box IS COCHEE to «use a proxy server for your LAN...» »

I uncheck the box, click on OK and it backs up to the Connections tab.  In this tab, the box apply is grayed out (which may seem reasonable, given that the changes I made are on a screen of a level down on the LAN configuration screen.

Anyway, after a while and always after the system has been locked on in «standby mode", settings return to check a box to «Use a proxy server for your LAN...» »

The changes are simply not found.  My user account is administrator.

Any solution to this setting removed by using a proxy server?

I solved it without defining the system to its default settings.  Thinking that maybe it's a corruption of user admin role I added other roles to my user profile form which also have the ability / permission to make changes.  Fact:

Control accounts of user/group/tab Manage User accounts / light tone my admin account / Advanced tab/advanced/users/select my account/member/added the roles of IIS_UISRS, network and Network Configuration operators.  (not easy thinking for an average of fall through user)

    all saved and accrued

Once this is done, the Lan Proxy settings have been stable.

However, a prior problem with the audio still exists.  The default value of the audio device continues to change speakers on the 2nd screen rather than the laptop speakers.  I can make changes and he returns back from a seemingly random way.  HP, a system Dingo!  Maybe a bios update will fix.

  • Proxy server does not.

I have some aging confuguring my proxy server.
IE does not ask me for the username and password for the server after entering the name and port.
Therefore, whenever I try to navigate, I'm connected to the server, but it blocks me saying: "authentication failed" because the username and password did not intervene.
Why is this not to come and especially how it can be repaired.  I tried IE, Firefox and Chrome, with uninstalled Antivirus and always without success.
    Help much appreciated.

    Thank you.

Managed to finally make it work.

Go to Internet options > Security > Internet > Custom > authenticating user > automatic login with user name and password has been around.

    Password box came. :)

Works fine now in Internet Explorer.  Impossible to get all other browsers to work but it's not serious.

    Appreciate the help.

  • Continuously their credentials for proxy server

I have multiple LAN users who try to use Adobe CC applications.  All access to the internet is a proxy server that is configured by using WPAD.  Whenever a user starts an application Adobe CC they get their credentials to the proxy server, but nothing works.  We either make their credentials repeatedly, or you see a message saying that either the subscription has expired (he didn't) or that the computer is not connected to the internet (this is the case, but through a proxy).  Everyone has CC applications working through a proxy server?

    Sure.

  • Configuration of Proxy Server on the OSB to manage SSL

I have a client with a business on the OSB service that connects to an external service outside their network.

This connection must go through the proxy server of the company because it is outside the network. This external service requires 1 - way ssl.

Can someone provide clarification on how the OSB is supposed to interact with a proxy server when business URI is https?

I configured a proxy server on OSB under System Administration > global resources > Proxy servers and together the details of the configuration on my service company to use the proxy server.

I tried to set the ssl on the server proxy to 443 port, but the proxy server rejected the connection on this port.
If I put just the clear text port to 3128, I get an error "socket closed".

The customer seemed confused by the ssl port field. As a general rule, he sends all traffic on port 3128, he says.

We have the certificate of the server that hosts the foreign service in our trust OSB store (but I doubt that the proxy server trusts - if that matters, I don't know).

Does anyone have any experience with what can help out me?

Possible reason could be ssl handshake failure... can you post here the complete trace of ssl handshake.

You can try to use ssltap [http://www.mozilla.org/projects/security/pki/nss/tools/ssltap.html], which makes it easier to understand what is happening behind the scenes during the negotiation

  • proxy server annoy 7.6.7 update?

Hi all. Got an old school time Capsule. Not sure if it's the 2nd or 3rd gen. In any case, whatever it is, it should support the 7.6.7 recent firmware update. But the update does not appear, and I wonder if it's all of the parameters of the proxy server and things, that I am forced to use at school. Any ideas? I guess I could bring home and... what? I have to change all the settings and stuff right? Well, any advice is welcome. Thanks in advance.

I doubt it's just a proxy firewall to protect the school system seems more likely.

You can certainly take it home and do the update it.

It's simple export the existing configuration of the TC via the menu at the top of the airport utility.

Then reset it at home to fit your network and once updated to restore the configuration to the school.

Please note... improvements on any firmware you have now are probably minimal (non-existent).

A 2nd or 3rd gen TC is now ancient history and likely to die tomorrow.

I can tell where download the firmware... then you can upgrade manually.

But to do that I need to know which version exactly the TC's.

In airport utility, hold down the option key and click the icon... you'll see brief page... in the top line with the version.

Or get the number of A1xxx of the basic cast in the first line of rubber.
