PS hangs on 2nd PC

I have my Photoshop on 2 PC's in the House, one down on the main computer (10 Windows Home) and a second on the smallest computer in the workroom upstairs (Windows 10 Professional).

Downstairs there's no issues whatsover, but on the old computer running an enhanced version of Win10 my PS opens the first main screen (ready to work on the program shows) but then within 10 seconds, stops and closes its doors.

I've uninstalled Photoshop and updated Adobe Cloud on this computer, then re-installed PS, (made out of LR and bridge were both set to day also) but always when I start PS, the startup screen goes through the motions, then the PS workspace opens but here down inside another 10 seconds.

I tried the compatibility mode in Windows on Win7 and Win8 options, but still no joy.

Any suggestions please?

It seems that the accident is due to Nik Plugin.

Please press the SHIFT key and run Photoshop, click Yes, when he asked to ignore the third-party plugins.

Just bought the HP ENVY 750-120 office... also bought 2 new monitors (HP Pavilion 27xw 27 - in LED Backlit Monitor IPS)... cannot get the computer to recognize 1 monitors...

Curiously, the Office has 1 hdmi and 1 connection on the video card dvi... but both monitors only came with vga connectors (Thanks much HP)... I bought 2 new hdmi cables for monitors but that you can only use 1 of them in the region of the video card... There are 2 connectors extra hdmi on the back of the computer but still using those in all combinations with reboot and detection under settings display does not cause the computer to detect the 2nd monitor...

I think my only other option is to hang the 2nd monitor to the dvi on the video card slot, but I'll have to find a converter because the monitor is only hdmi and vga... does what his right?

I'm not computer expert, please excuse my questions of common sense... why the video card is not 2 hdmi connectors and why HP is hdmi and vga monitors but then make their computers with only 1 connection hdmi and dvi... also, why doesn't the computer recognize the 2nd monitor so I use one of the HDMI slots at the bottom of the computer... What are these slots hdmi because then...?  really annoying that HP does not sytems super easy to hook up to the secular...

I solved the problem of dual monitor.  The computer came with only 1 hdmi connector and 1 connector on the video card.  Monitors have vga connectors and hdmi... a monitor worked with hdmi to hdmi slot, and I ran to the local big-box store and bought a hdmi to DVI and hooked up to the video card... immediately my 2nd monitor came.

  • Photoscreensaver.SCR on Win 7 x 64. Max play time < 5 hours; 4.3 GB of many jpg files.

    Dear readers,

Thank you very much for taking the time to read my ad.

My main concerns/queries on windows 7 photo screensaver .scr:

    1. it is only a 32-bit application and crashes when there are a large number of files,

    2. sometimes restarts the computer after BSOD - removed wireless keyboard n mouse.

    3. is there a maximum size of all files in the folder where he plays the photos (all photos are in .jpg format)

    4. is there a little the 64 bit version of the application in the pipe that people could not meet the problems I had.

    5. I have an amd 64 64-bit at the beginning (6 GB of ram) that I have connected to my 46 "SONY BRAVIA TV and you want to use as a photo viewer when bores him. computer idle timeout = 1 min for photoscreensaver start.  He played for less than 5 hours correctly and literally suffocating for me to reboot (details below).

    6. is there another player from picture windows that I miss that play photos randomly.

    7. I have 17 MB of dump file compressed that I can share with the developers.

    EVENT DETAILS:
more details as to why I ask myself the questions above:

After searching many validations for the problem that I had with my screen saver, I discovered the following:

in win 7, 64 bit, scrnsave registry entry is correct according to http://support.microsoft.com/

I put all my photos about 4.3 GB for my e:\MyPhotos4TV look at the pictures from the digital camera and the rest scanned on the 46 '' tv.

Suddenly the accentes pc with blue screen of death.  then I removed the keyboard and mouse wireless between the PC and replace them with a USB keyboard and a mouse.

screensaver picture show then used to freeze or crash.  After looking in the folder, I found some .mov files and a zip file.  so, I moved them out of the folder e:\MyPhotos4TV.

After that there was no bsod, but when the images are played back randomly, photoscreensaver.scr process hangs for a few minutes and resumes the display of photos on the TV screen.

After the 1st shot of the screensaver on a particular photo, the application continues that the display of the other ongoing phoros, only to hang on another photo.  the frequency of the hang increases with time and I get deparate to stop it and a reboot of the machine.

the 1st shot of photoscreensaver.scr enforcement spend 4 hours to let the picture display on the TV using screen saver.  the hangs of 2nd and 3rd comes with 30 minutes and I have to restart with 90 minutes of the hang 1 screensaver.

Another thing I noticed was that the photoscreen saver was only a 32-bit application - I didn't know if the 4.3 GB (2power 32) limited the photoscreensaver.scr or scrnsave.exe;  My question: Why microsoft nt make this a true 64 bit app?

When the application is suspended, I've seen the process in the Task Manager and generated a dump file - surprisingly this dump file is 75 MB in size.

I have a 64 bit with 6 GB of ram (533 hz) OS and hard drive is a SATA.

I'll be happy to troubleshoot or test with MS Eve software good screen that will make very interesting lives.

    Thanks and greetings

    Hi Ravi,
    Thanks for the reply.

I suggest you to send us the minidump files so that it becomes easier to identify the reason for this problem. But, before you proceed with the steps on how to collect the minidump files, make sure that minidumps are enabled on the computer.

    You can follow the steps:
    Step 1:

To ensure the minidumps are enabled:

    (a) go to start, type "sysdm.cpl" and press ENTER.
    (b) on the Advanced tab, click on the Start button and recovery settings.
    (c) ensure that restart automatically is not checked.
    (d) under the heading of the writing of debugging information, select partial memory (256 KB) image in the drop-down list box (varies from 256 kb).
    (e) ensure that the Small Dump Directory is listed as '% systemroot%\Minidump.
    (f) click OK.
    (g) restart the computer if changes have been made.

    Step 2:

Please follow the steps to copy the contents of the minidump files:
    (a) copy the contents of \Windows\Minidump to a different location (temporary) somewhere on your machine.
    (b) zip to the top of the copy.
    (c) attach ZIP archive to your message by using the button (attachments) "trombone".
    (d) please upload to a service like Skydrive to share files and link to them in your answer.

You can check the link to find out how to send the files minidump using Skydrive:

  • My iPod nano 2nd generation gets disk errors after installing iTunes?

I use my iPod nano 2nd generation for... Wow little almost 10 years now and of course is not as sensitive, a little laggy sometimes, battery life isn't as good but still never had real problems with it that can be repaired by a reset. Well not until now and I have not really money to spend to get a new, in particular the fact that practically it still works fine on his own, just that I can not add or remove pieces of her more.

    The problem

It seems that the computer has trouble reading the device. Whenever I plug my iPod nano 2nd generation USB in my laptop (Windows 10), which has some sort of interaction with it freezes. For the moment I plug in, programs such as Winamp, iTunes, File Explorer (if I click my computer-> try to right click on the drive, that says all F: drive instead of the usual name recognized as "My iPod."), the Device Manager when I try to turn Apple iPod USB Driver and the small icon in the system tray when you try to eject the drop-down list no longer appears, all these programs themselves just freeze and unresponsive until I unplug the device. In Event Viewer, the moment where I plug it, it gets spammed by looping errors to:

Error: The device, \Device\Harddisk1\DR21, has a bad block.

ATTENTION: An error was detected on device \Device\Harddisk1\DR21 during a paging operation.

So, basically, it seems that the computer is blocked just not try to read and recognize the device, which means that I can't really do anything with it. The iPod itself seems to work fine, I can hear songs, recharge the battery and other things, earlier I can't add or remove pieces of her.

    Stuff leading up to it

A year or two before, I used to manage the ipod via itunes (a relatively old version of time too I guess since I almost never update) until I formatted my laptop some time ago and never bored computer reinstall itunes. Since then, I really didn't need to change anything to my iPod and just use Winamp (my default music player) to the add/remove songs when I needed to. Today, I decided to install iTunes because there are some things that winamp cannot do as add embedded lyrics and also winamp blurs the sorted list of the song. Since then, after you have installed the new iTunes, start freezing and program I get the problems described above. There might be a chance that iTunes was not the real culprit and the disc was already beginning to get corrupted or something somehow, but I can't think of anything that's happened before this problem started.

    I tried many things

    • Uninstalled iTunes and all the other stuff related to the installation as pie, Apple Mobile Device Support... .etc
    • Reinstall the device driver USB Apple iPod. When I turn it off (Plug in iPod-> iPod poster 'do not disconnect'-->--> Device Manager driver right click-> disable-> Device Manager freezes up-> unplug ipod-> Device Manager-> thaws plug ipod in) ipod becomes simply the State of charge. Steps to reinstall is the same (need to plug and unplug).
    • Reset iPod in now the Center button + menu button.
    • Will then resetting operation rewind + Centre button iPod diagnostic mode. It is not a test disc hard because I guess nano doesn't have a disc hard just flash ram. Anyway, when I select SDRAM QScan he only says: "SDRAM OK." NAND_SPEC gives "NandLBA = 1982464". Flash gives Checksum "Checksum is 0x26AF".
    • Wanted to try as described here to check for disk errors, but cannot because the computer cannot correctly recognize and explore freezes if I right click. I tried using 'chkdsk f:' in the command prompt, but that seems to hang as well.
    • Switches mode disc reset ipod then now Center + play button. Then connect the laptop... etc, same problem.

It's a pretty old device, so it seems that support because it is very rare. I didn't install iTunes could screw up the device that it is intended to support and do anything as permanent as this one.

You must exclude a faulty USB, cable anchorage, try another, or using your power with another Apple device cable, to confirm that it works correctly.

Otherwise, your troubleshooting seems complete.  If that's what you've done for disc Mode

How to put your iPod in disc - Apple Support mode

and connection to your computer causes this issue General 'freeze' with multiple processes, the iPod has possibly a hardware problem.  Flash storage eventually.  Or it can be a problem on the logic board of the iPod.

I suggest try to reformat the iPod using Windows, as if it were a USB flash drive.  But you can only do if the system hangs when you connect iPod.

NOTE: If you find a way to reformat iPod using Windows, use FAT32 as the disc format.  If there is an option to do a quick format, do a full format instead.  Once the process is complete, the iPod is totally blank.  You do restore using iTunes (if you are prompted or not), to the embedded iPod software.

  • Question of P500 with 2nd external display via displayport

    Hello.

I have a Thinkstation P500 with a Nivida Quadro K2200 running Ubuntu 14.04 - I have tried plugging in an additional screen via a Displayport-to-DVI dongle. I downloaded and installed the latest 346,96 drivers from Nvidia and when hang it to the top of the screen 2, can be seen on both the Nvidia X Server Settings (which I saved him), application of the system display and I can actually moved my cursor of mouse 'off screen' in the 2nd monitor - it's just that there is no signal at all from to the 2nd monitor... Running 'xrandr' shows that the 2nd monitor is connected via port DP-1...

    Is this a BIOS problem?

Any help/pointers/suggestions/sarcastic useful comments received with gratitude...

    Aaron.

Hi psuturtle, thanks for getting back to me on this...

Bought separately, it's a StarTechcom DP - DVI dongle - must be something 'obvious' like that everything is working as if its there (and it's running I hasten to add).

I'll give it a shot and hope for the best.

  • LabView hangs after displaying a pop-up window

With my Test.vi I start a Subvi (Test1.vi). These two screws are set below. When you press the Start in Test.vi button a popup window is started via
Test1.VI. can I close this pop-up window with an OK button. The 1st time it works fine. By pressing Start and the time of 2nd OK button causes all LabView hang. It can only

What you do doesn't make too much sense. You do a lot of programmatic errors. You should learn how to properly use the Structures of the event (through the Core 1 and 2 training materials). You should put controls (action buttons, control Boolean OK) associated with a case of event in the event company. Moreover, the reason why your grip VI: in your Subvi you close the front panel of your VI via the property node, but it will still be running, you do not set a mechanism to stop the VI.

  • Envy dv7t-7200: SSD upgrade in 2nd slot on HP Envy dv7t-7200. Cannot find or run the Bios

So I added recently internal a second drive in my HP Envy dv7t-7200 because she had a second slot. The first was a 1 TB HARD drive and what I added is a compatible 500 GB SSD from Crucial. At startup, the SSD was not recognized as I can't find anywhere in my computer to use. Also, I tried to go into the BIOS to see if the second part of the motherboard to the drive 2nd spot has been activated but now the computer starts too fast and I can't enter the BIOS. Given that nothing is installed on disk 2, I have no idea why the computer starts much faster. Would it be due a QuickLaunch for the BIOS update can I have recently installed? If so, how to uninstall that?

I also wanted to just insisted on my laptop as possible and that's why I decided to upgrade, any help would be greatly appreciated.

A new empty ssd drive will not be displayed in my computer (PC), until the disk is initialized and formatted. Right-click on computer and choose manage... disk management and see if there is a new blank disc. If so create a new volume in it (partition) then format then assign a drive letter.

You want to have the OS on the SSD and have it in the main location as only a car in this slot is bootable. You lose the speed of the SSD in the second location for pure storage. As hanging Secretariat up to a plow.

  • Windows XP Setup hangs at «Setup starts Windows...» "after all the required drivers on the CD loading.

My Pentium III 1.0 GHz computer (394 MB of RAM, disk hard 500 GB) crapped out on me after that I loaded soft PicturePerfect of Nikon.  For some reason, the Nikon software ruined my registry.  Now, whenever I turn on my PC, I get the BSOD with error "Unpaginated IPF in space".   I can't start my computer in safe mode or "start Windows normally" as I get the same error msg almost immediately without seeing the Windows logo and progress bar.  I can start my PC using the "last good known Configuration" and he will be starting the Microsoft Windows logo with the progress small downstairs bar, so I know that the hard drive is fine.  Then the screen goes black while WinXP is loading from the hard drive, and then the BSOD with error page comes up.  I suspect that there is incorrect data in a critical area of the drive where Windows requires data start correctly.   In the meantime, I can't boot into Windows at all because all Windows options lead to BSOD with the msg of error page.

I resigned myself to reloading Windows XP from scratch, but I can't seem to get my original installation CD to not work.  I've reconfigured my BIOS to Boot CD, and then start the original Windows XP CD.  He reads and load it all very well, and then it hangs at «Setup starts Windows...» "I thought he had to test the equipment, but it remained in this State for 3 hours!  The "Welcome to Windows Setup" screen never came.

I thought to use FDISK to the new drive of 500 GB and formatting on the errors on the hard drive, but I can't do since I can't complete the installation process.  I feel stuck in a bad situation where I can't enter BACK to FDISK and FORMAT my C: drive.

    Pls help!

    Thank you!

Here's what I did and learned:

    1. I replaced my DVD burner with my CD - R original delivered with the machine and disconnected the 2nd CD - R.

    2. I disconnected my 2nd hard drive, in part to minimize the current of the power supply, but also to keep clean and simple start between a (hard) C: and D: (CD - R) drives.

    3. I re-tested my SDRAM using test mode full and deep.  To my surprise, I found not 1 but 2 SDRAM bad!  I replaced the original SDRAM 128 MB and re-directed tests of memory with the Diagnostocs memory of Windows and Memtest86 +.  All the 512 MB of RAM is perfect now.

    4. I started to new WinXP and have the msg «Setup starts Windows...» ».  This time, I waited for about 15 minutes and to my surprise the configuration screen came!  There is a long period of time between the msg «Setup starts Windows...» "at the start, and when the configuration menu actually comes to the screen.  I was able to partition and format my hard drive.

    Lessons learned:
-Maintain the number of devices to a minimum so that it keeps unknown hardware failures to confuse the troubleshooting questions.
-Test the RAM in deep test mode is important and test several times.
-It could be more than 1 Bank of RAM can be bad so carefully test RAM.
-Wait for the next Windows installation menu.  It is not instantaneous, but it will come sooner or later.

    Thank you!!!

    Original title: computer hangs

When I leave my Inspiron 1525 idle for an hour or two, the screen freezes and I have to turn off the computer and restart via safe mode.  It is a new show lasts for 2 weeks. I ran various Dell and Microsoft updates and anti-virus programs, but nothing seems to work. I use both Windows Security Essentials and Avast Antivirus. -Free - DriverView utility displays the list of all device drivers currently loaded on your system.
For each driver in the list, additional useful information is displayed: load address of the driver,
Description, version, product name, company that created the driver and more.
    http://www.NirSoft.NET/utils/DriverView.html

For drivers, visit manufacturer of emergency system and of the manufacturer of the device that are the most common.
Control Panel - device - Graphics Manager - note the brand and complete model
your video card - double - tab of the driver - write version information. Now, click on update
Driver (this can do nothing as MS is far behind the certification of drivers) - then right-click.
Uninstall - REBOOT it will refresh the driver stack.

Repeat this for network - card (NIC), Wifi network, sound, mouse, and keyboard if 3rd party
with their own software and drivers and all other main drivers that you have.

Now in the system manufacturer (Dell, HP, Toshiba as examples) site (in a restaurant), peripheral
Site of the manufacturer (Realtek, Intel, Nvidia, ATI, for example) and get their latest versions. (Look for
BIOS, Chipset and software updates on the site of the manufacturer of the system here.)

Download - SAVE - go to where you put them - right click - RUN AD ADMIN - REBOOT after
    each installation.

Always check in the Device Manager - drivers tab to be sure the version you actually install
presents itself. This is because some restore drivers before the most recent is installed (sound card drivers
in particular that) so to install a driver - reboot - check that it is installed and repeat as
    necessary.

Repeat to the manufacturers - BTW in the DO NOT RUN THEIR SCANNER device - check
    manually by model.

Look at the sites of the manufacturer for drivers - and the manufacturer of the device manually.
    http://pcsupport.about.com/od/driverssupport/HT/driverdlmfgr.htm

Installation and update of drivers under Windows 7 (updated drivers manually using the methods above
It is preferable to ensure that the latest drivers from the manufacturer of system and device manufacturers are located)
    http://www.SevenForums.com/tutorials/43216-installing-updating-drivers-7-a.html

If you update the drivers manually, then it's a good idea to disable the facilities of driver under Windows
Updates, that leaves about Windows updates but it will not install the drivers that will be generally
older and cause problems. If updates offers a new driver and then HIDE it (right click on it), then
get new manually if you wish.

  • Home premium 64 bit Vista 6.0 SP 1 hang time start

My new HP dv 7 has a boot hang on microsoft specifications load bar screen for about 4 + minutes, with no HARD disk activity, then it starts again beginning upward. During the process, the CD/DVD drive is repeatedly powered (light and buzzing) until the office is finished. It takes about 8 minutes to complete startup. Sometimes after startup, the dvd/cd drive is missing from the window manager and computer device, or may disappear during the session. A sweep of plug-and-play in the device Mgr usually restored the drive in the list.
I worked on it with HP and it has not changed even after any change that they known. The HARD drive has been recreated on four times. They also sent a new player that also acted the same. The dvd/cd drive works fine when detected.
Is this activation of dvd/cd player and time crash when starting from individuals to Vista? It is unlike my other computers where XP load in less than 3 minutes without activity of dvd/cd drive.

    Hey, Mark H,
Thanks for the reply.   You are right! The problem was the firmware of the hardware.
I come back online. As I said, I had worked on it for a month since then, with HP support.  All the software stuff has been done including the new image of the partition HARD drive and disks provided by HP. The computer was sent for repair of HP in CA and back with a disc recreated and still had the problem. They ignored the hardware problem!
Then I convinced the last guy at HP during a live chat to send me a replacement CD-ROM/DVD-ROM drive, and he agreed.
When the drive has been installed at the 1st start the problem was the same. Was about to give up, and then it dawned on me that the computer was using the original disk info. Vista re-identified the new drive and on the 2nd boot the computer starts without delay in under 2 minutes!
I looked at the model numbers of two disks, and they were different because of the firmware on board.
My point of view on this, is that the drive originally installed was in error and not fully compatible with the 64-bit version of Vista. They sent me the correct drive of their parts list
So now, the computer starts normally, but sometimes the DVD Player stops however power looking for a disk and will not stop a buzzing and lighting sporadically, as if a program is looking for a drive.    It is with nothing else running in task Mgr (the arrow pointer turns into a small disc symbol).
My remedy is to restart the computer that has worked so far.
Wonder what hidden agenda try repeatedly searching for a disc in the drive at startup?
    Any ideas?

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Media Player hangs up with 1-2 seconds to go, it recharges

    Help, please.
I have a relatively new 8130 (Alltel): I have only had it a few weeks - and I'm having this problem. I play a song on media player, it crashes with 2 seconds to go. I force attacker / choose a 2nd song and the phone restarts, when it hits 2 seconds to go mark.

I tried to use bluetooth / restart no bluetooth, reformat the media card, hard... I reformatted the card support several times, tried several music files (mp3 and wma), drag & drop and a Windows Media Player sync, deleted all my photos, all of the .dat files... I can't stop.

Media Player was working fine when I got on the phone.  The only 'solution' that I found is to forcably stop the song before this ' moment magic hang ' and pass to another song on my own.  I can't let any song tries to go all the way, or as soon as he gets the second "Go to the end song"; whap, it restarts.

It's really frustrating. I'm on v4.5.0.127 (because as far as I know that came with the phone.)
I installed / uninstalled several 3rd party applications since getting the phone (and running on the problem of memory leak). Best I can do is ~ free 8Gig.

I thought about it, after having to dig a little deeper on the forums.  My problem was the BB do not dig .wma files.  After reformatting the card and placement of nothing but the mp3 files on the phone, it works.

... now, I just re - rip my CD catalog...  (it's always something, no?)

    Hello

Then, you can try bouncing the instance once more and make sure aq_tm_processes is to have any value, since you can calm him down.

ALTER system set aq_tm_processes is 0 scope = both;.

Have you ever tried adding the line Add-PSSnapin the scriptblock in the 2nd script.

Another problem could be that the script sends messages of 'warning', and these may cause crashes in tasks in the background as well.

Try to set $WarningPreference = "SilentlyContinue".

  • 2nd disk on Dell OptiPlex 780 Mini-Tower

I want to install a 2nd SATA Seagate 148 gb SATA HDD on my OptiPlex 780 minitower. The drive is physically mounted in the machine and the power cable that extends from the disk HARD existing fits perfectly in place. I had to go buy a 18 "SATA 7 pin data Cable available from the drive to the motherboard.

Looks like there are two SATA containers-by-side in the middle section of the motherboard. A feed beige plastic and the other in black.

Does make a difference that the one that I use?

Is there another container, should I use instead of these?  Locate where?

After hanging hardware, what I need to do to get the machine to recognize the new HARD drive when booting?

    Thank you

The colors are to let you know which port is 0 then 1 then 2, then 3, etc. White port is #3 the orange cable goes from the optical drive sata 1 connector blue is the boot disk which is SATA 0. After connecting the power supply and data, you go into BIOS Setup and turn on SATA2.
