PSC1315v: test page prints every printer start

After installing new cartridges in PSC1315v, test page printed as usual; scanned such as recommended.

Since then, whenever I turn on the printer to use, a test page prints.  How can I stop this from happening?

Is it possible that what you see is the alignment instead of a self-test page page?

After installing new cartridges, the printer needs to align the cartridges.  If you do not have the alignment after installing the cartridges, the printer will print a new alignment page every time that you turn it on.

Go to this page and follow the instructions under step 5: align the ink cartridges.

  • HP2710 print jobs stuck in the queue even if test page prints

I have a HP Photosmart 2710 all-in-one printer attached via the USB port of a laptop ASUS G73Jw running under Windows 7 64-bit. The printer worked fine with a Toshiba laptop running Windows XP 32-bit only. But now cling all the documents in the queue if thay are Word, pdf or Notepad. I tried everything I could find on the HP forums. I downloaded the last software update. I ran the diagnostics HPPDU utility. After that I ran this utility test page prints fine, but nothing else gets stuck in the queue. I obeyed different instructions to disconnect and reconnect the printer, do a reboot etc after running the diagnostic utility. I tried other 'solutions' various users have suggested, including disabling bidirectional printing, restarting the spooler service and directly without the print spooler. Nothing works.

Given that I can print a test page I doubt that it is a mechanical problem. I suspect some sort of driver incompatibility. Because I downloaded the driver more once in frustration I think there could be pieces of drivers still present, although I can't view them with the uninstall command or the Device Manager. In fact, I can't find any file with any HP device software. Maybe it's because the driver is downloaded directly from Windows 7 when you do a Plug-and-Play.

There are a large number of driver files under everything in the printer properties. But I don't know which driver files should be there.

I'm about to trash this printer unless someone has an idea what to do.

    Help!

It could cause a conflict if the printer is stuck which occupies the port because it could block all communication with anything that is not this printer.  It may be something wrong with the way that ASUS manages virtual USB drivers, but I have not heard anything.  You might try to give them a call if you're really curious, just to see if they know anything.

  • Printer test page printed automatically while turning on the printer

    Original title: printer test page

Everytime I turn on my printer, it prints a test page. Any reason why this should be the case?

    Hello

    1. What is the brand and model of the printer?

2 have you made changes on the computer before this problem?

This is the alignment page that keeps printing. You need to scan the alignment with success page so that it will not keep printing every time that you restart printer.

The product aligns the print cartridges each time the cartridge installation or replacement to ensure the best quality prints. The continuous alignment page to print when the product is turned on or off, or when a print job is started, for the reasons below.

-The process of alignment is not complete.

-The ink cartridges are not correctly installed.

-The ink cartridges need to be replaced.

    -The product must be repaired.

If this does not help, do us stop and restart the print spooler service and check whether the problem is resolved.
    Follow the steps below:
    a. click Start, click run, type services.msc and click OK.
    b. scroll down to print spooler.
    c. stop the print spooler service.
    d. restart the spooler service.

  • HP Officejet 6500 Paper Out status on the computer but the paper loaded and test page prints

We have a HP 6500 CB815A, which works well for almost a year. As of today, we get "Paper Out" status on the computer, but there is paper loaded in the tray... the same high quality paper as we always use. The test printer utility reports the same status. However, the printer can print a test page and fax without printing problem status.

I unplugged for 30 seconds to reset, but we get the same status.

Someone has had this same problem and solved?

    Thank you

    Dave

If you have not tried to reboot your PC, I would. If this does not clear the issue, I would follow the following steps:

    1. Click Start-> Control Panel
    2. Select uninstall a program (it's the heading programs)
    3. Find your driver HP software; Select it by clicking on it once, then select Edit. If the change is not available, select uninstall/change.
    4. Select repair and then follow the prompts for your software repairs itself.
    5. If your software does not have the repair option, it may be advisable to download the latest drivers from support.hp.com site. Uninstall the drivers for your printer, and then reinstall them using.

If these steps do not work, please post and I can continue further with troubleshooting.

    Good luck

  • OfficeJet 6700 test page prints, but not Word or other documents

I reinstalled my OfficeJet 6700 for my MacBook Pro (OS 10.6) wireless printing when the printer's IP address has changed.  I used the HP installation for re disc - install the printer.  Since then, I can't print Word, pdf, documents etc.  The print job just sits in the queue with the message: "connected to the printer...". ».  I am able to send a test page, however.  I can print wireless from other computers in the House (on Windows).  Can I print using my address hpeprint.com.  Any suggestions?  Thank you!

Well Yes, we will define an IP address (not variable) from the printer:

We will set an IP address of the printer:

-Print a the front of the printer Network Setup Page. Note the IP address of the printer.
-Enter the IP address in a browser to reveal the internal settings of the printer.
-Choose the network tab, then wireless along the left side, then on the IPv4 tab.
-On this screen, you want to set a manual IP address. You must assign an IP address outside the range that the router sets automatically (called the DHCP range). If you do not know the range, change the last set of numbers (those after the last '.') 250
-Apply the subnet 255.255.255.0 (unless you know it's different, if so, use it)
-Enter the IP of your router (on the Page of the Network Config) for the gateway.
-Enter for the first DNS 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 for second DNS. It's Google DNS. You can choose a different external DNS if you wish.
    -Click 'apply '.

Now, stop the router and printer, start the router, wait, and then start printing.

    Finally, restore the print system:

-Go to System Preferences > print & Scan
-Right (or control) click in the rectangle listing your printers and select Reset Printing System.
WARNING - This will remove ALL your printers!
-Select the sign more to add a printer. Select the default tab on the top of the window. Search for the printer, select it, and then beside the dropdown 'Use', select the model of the printer (not AirPrint). Wait for the 'Add' button becomes available. Until it clicks.

  • HP Deskjet Ink Advantage 1515: stop the test page printed for all-in-one printer, HP Deskjet Ink Advantage 1515

How can I stop my HP Deskjet Ink Advantage 1515 all-in-One printer to print a test page everytime I STARTED printing?

    Hello JoshSimon ,

    Welcome to the HP Forums.

I see that you have a problem with the printer printing before you print a test page.

If you turn off the printer at the end of the day, please do not.  Turn the printer on/off will result in printing a test page.  If you are concerned about the printer lost power, and that's why you stop, the unit actually built in sleep/stand mode that will kick in when you are not using the printer.

Once a print job is sent to the printer it then wake up and do the task at hand.

In addition, make sure you have the printer power cable connected directly to a wall outlet and not a bar/power strip. Here is a document that uses a LaserJet printer for example, but it is intended for HP products in general. Please click the link which explains the problems when connected to an uninterruptible power supply/Strip/surge protector power.

If troubleshooting doesn't help not solve your problem, then I would say call the HP Technical Support to see all the other possibilities for you. If you call in North America, the number is 1-800-474-6836 and for all other regions, please click here: click here.

  • What is the USE for a TEST PAGE/printer status REPORT

Did you read post or forums and a tech wants to see you if you can print a test page or the printer status report?

It is a test to make sure that a function of the printer works properly. Sometimes you can't print from your printer and everything is blocked and you think it's the printer. If you can print this test page, then most likely it will be a software problem or a connection problem.

The information contained in a test page can diagnose a problem with the printer or to consider including information about the printer. Test pages can be printed using the print or the computer control panel.

The page test print function prints a page with several print cartridge models and a numbered list, containing specific information about the printer.

I hope that is useful to the community.

    Thanks for reading.

I used to be able to print from my computer laptop girls via radio to the wired HP 5600 on my desk, but now all I can print in this way is the test page. Another laptop works very well. I think she might have played with some settings, but I can't understand what has changed.

Problem solved... Office has been created to print directly to the printer instead of spool... don't know why it only affected on three laptops... at this point... who cares!
