  • How to stop a program called with exec.vi system

    Hey Gang,

I need to run a third-party application of in LabVIEW.  It works fine when it is called with the exec.vi system, as long as the user has entered the correct data.  However in some (very difficult to determine) conditions, the application crashes.

I want to be able to force by program the application to complete and return to LV I assumed that there is a way to do it using the Windows API, but I don't know how to do this, and I would need a way to get the handle of the offending application Windows.

Short re - implement the app in BT, I'm out of ideas.  I'll appreciate any help.

    Thank you

    Roger

If you could post a picture of the offending code, it would be great. but two things come to mind, if you expect the exploit code (for example go to a wait for a period, then kill a task) wire: completion to false.

then is another call to command prompt, look in taskkill /f

    You can kill a process

  • I get the error code 87 with Exec VI system

    Hello

I need to start a labview program (vibrometra). In the image as an attachment, it is possible to see the command line that I use. In the path, I'm specifying the location of the executable file.

I checked that it is possible to open the vibrometra program by using this path with the window "run"...

So I don't know what should I write in the command field.

Thank you in advance for your help!

You have a space in cmd/k (correct: cmd /k)? Although without space LV2011 gives me error 2, not 87

Also do you need to open the command window (cmd)? I usually specify a full path (path name and exe) as a command, no problem. Working directory is not required then.

Edit: Full path in quotes is not having problems with spaces

    "C:\Program Files\prog\prog.exe".

  • Call a VI that uses the 'exec.vi system' with the LabVIEW runtime as adapter

    Hello

My TestStand sequence called a VI that includes a call to 'exec.vi system '. When I try to load it in TestStand and if LabVIEW adapter is set to the runtime, I get an error message «Unable to load Vi...» ». If I change the map to the 'development system', then it works fine.

Is it possible to use the 'exec.vi system' in a VI that is called by TestStand with LabVIEW run-time?

    Thank you

  • When I try to connect my computer with XP operating system, I get this error message to: rund1132.exe and cannot log out.

    original title: log question.

When I try to connect my computer with XP operating system, I get this error message to: rund1132.exe and cannot log out.  How can I fix?

    Hi KERRYYX,

    1. Did you the latest changes on the computer?
    2. When was the last time it was working fine?
    3. You have security software installed on the computer?
    4. What is the full error message that you receive?
    5. Are you able to restart and shut down the computer?

It is possible that some third-party programs installed on the computer is causing the problem.

I suggest that you put the computer in a clean boot state and check if it helps.

To help resolve the error and other messages, you can start Windows XP by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot". A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

See section to learn more about how to clean boot.

    See you soon

    KF

    Hi KieranFitzgibbon,

    1. did you of recent changes on the computer?

    2. are you referring to the xreg.exe or ereg.exe?

If his ereg.exe, then it is related to the registration of Logitech products.

    Method 1

I suggest that use you the Microsoft safety scanner to remove the infections of viruses or malware to the computer and check if it helps.

    http://www.Microsoft.com/security/scanner/en-us/default.aspx

You can also use Microsoft Security databases to scan your computer

    http://www.Microsoft.com/security/PC-security/MSE.aspx

    Method 2

If the previous step fails then I suggest that scan you SFC on the computer that would be a system file corrupt on the computer search and replace.

The analysis may take some time, so be patient. Windows allows to fix corrupt or missing files it finds. If the information of the installation CD is required to fix the problem, you may be asked to insert your Windows XP installation CD.

  • NEITHER 9481 relay are not locked when running the labview compiled exe on a computer with only installed labview execution?

I recently bought a cDAQ-9172 with several modules.  One of the modules is a NI 9481 relay module.  I created an application using Labview and built an exe file.  If I run the exe on the computer, it was developed on the relays work properly, that is, they remain locked up until their status is changed.  If I run the same exe on a computer with only the Labview runtime installed (no software installed), the pulse relay contacts and not locked.  I'm using Labview version 7.1 for my development and execution.  Everyone knows about this problem?

Ignore this announcement, the error stems from a difference between each computer ini-files and has nothing to do with the Labview Labview runtime vs, my bad developer.

When you get this program you want to use to open the file, you can select the appropriate program to open it?  If so, isn't there a box to check that says always use this program...

Network adapter. Missing drivers?  Go to your device manager and look to see if there is lack of device drivers. They can be labeled as just a controller ethenet or other device with a small exclamation point.

This means that they need a driver. In order to send you the link to the right driver, I need to know what model of network card you have.

If you are unsure, click on all the missing devices in Device Manager. Then click on the Details tab. In the property drop-down list, select the second element (Hardware ID). After the first string of characters you see.

Who will be ID the make and model of the device and I can send you the link for the drivers.

Twunk_16.exe isnot program compatible with Windows 7 64 bit system and I need to run other programs, for example Photoshop.  How can I get a compatible version of WHO and where does go?

You can not. There is no 16-bit subsystem in any 64-bit Windows.

If your device needs TWAIN 16-bit dual boot with XP, you can, get XP in a virtual machine or get a new device with 64-bit drivers.

  • How to close the open window by Exec VI system automatically?

    Hello

I use the Exec VI system to launch an exe that is built from a LabVIEW program. Operational system Exec VI, the window out of file exe and stays there even after all the tasks are completed. I have to close it manually each time. Anyone here know how to close the window of the exe file automatically when it's done?

    Thank you

    Jean

If I understand the question you add a node to call at the end of your application to exit. As it runs as a stand-alone application or in LabVIEW there will be out or stop the execution. I have attached the VI that I use in my applications.
