  I am designing a Web page to a customer and so that they can see my work in courses/amendments that I downloaded the Web page

  for a Business Catalyst temporary site, on my account.

  However, once they are all approved/paid, I intend for the customer to provide me with their their own hosting provider FTP details.

  I was wondering, how does the transition from Business Catalyst to a different provider?

  It is as easy as just clicking on the "Transfer to the FTP host" option and go into detail? and then deleting my account Business Catalyst Web page?

  Could you please share your with us .muse file to study? Please send it to [email protected]. If your file is larger than 20 MB, you can use something like Adobe SendNow SendThisFile or Dropbox. Don't forget to mention the link to this forum thread in your email so that we can identify the file.

  I suggest you sign upward to Google Webmaster tools (free) and check your site (directions are in the webmaster tools) and

  also consider joining Google analytic (also free).  Analytical will allow you to 'see' who is visiting your site and how they experience through research, order the seizure of the URL, or through the links, etc.  Also from where they come, how much per day, etc.  Lots of good information.

  I have my Dreamweaver site hosted with Hurricane Electric now and you want to move to Business Catalyst.  I tried to do it by opening my site in Dreamweaver and clicking on the choice of the Site/New Business catalyst Site menu but the dialog box only appears for a second and then disappears.  So next time, I tried going to my catalyst for business portal and the creation of a new site by importing my site existing since its URL, bitsong.com.  This imported most of the site but did not import the SWF files and the Unity3d player does not work.

  My question is, how do I get connected to this temporary site Dreamweaver: http://bitsong.businesscatalyst.com/ and get the rest of my downloaded files and work on this temporary site?  I can do this with FTP or I have to use a new Protocol, SFTP.  Thank you.

  P.S. I know that to push the live site, I have to change the server names of Hurricane Electric to Business Catalyst, but I would prefer not to push the live site until I have everything working on the temporary site.

  Thanks, I managed to get my site downloaded from Dreamweaver using the Site/New Business Catalyst Site menu in Dreamweaver CM³.  Then, once the site has been created, I deleted everything that was already there and downloaded from my own site.  It worked.  I had to download Dreamweaver CC for this.  For some reason, the menu new Business Catalyst has not worked in CS6.

  Hi, I created a Web site in muse and published the catalyst for business, however I now what to do my live site to the correct url. I own the domain name, but this is my first time using muse and I do not know how to find my way dashboard about business catalyst or how to change the url. Whenever I watch video on how to do this, I can only find ones that show you how to publish the site on the catalyst, but nothing about how to go to the next step, which is to publish the site with the correct url.

  You're right, because you don't need to update the site every week. Once the site is live it would be very well received. In case you make changes to your file of Muse, you can simply publish the site.

  You can use their IDs of BC and use them, which to publish the site will be under their account.

  I create a new site from scratch on BusinessCatalyst so I can choose the package with the blog and e-commerce.

  I then create the Muse website and publish it on the field that I created when I created the new site in Business Catalyst.

  I add a few modules to my concept of the Muse and publish.

  Everything works for a while, but then the Muse published site is replaced with chart of Business Catalyst-default 'Coming Soon'.

  Your site is a CCM that is located on a WebBasics plan (this plan does not e-mail hosted on Business Catalyst).

  If you want to create the email addresses on this site, you will need to configure your mail elsewhere server and configure the MX records on your site to point to the external mail server.

  If you want to use the hosted Business catalyst e-mail services, you should use a WebBasics + or superior siteplan. To upgrade your free CCM site, access administration area of your site-> Site Management-> upgrade now-> choose the desired site plan and billing frequency-> Add personal and credit card details-> Submit.

I contacted tech support, and they told me that there is a problem with Business Catalyst, they are working on right now.   If you are publishing to Business Catalyst, go to file > properties of the Site in Muse. The 'Advanced' Panel will turn off IBE. We will address this problem in an update very soon.

  Is there a way to export the posts off Business Catalyst?  I can easily find the import feature, that I used to move clients from Wordpress to BC, but what export.  I would be interested to export for the protection of the data (as a backup, like how to save information clients and reports) and for all customers who might decide to move British Colombia on another blogging platform.

  There is no blog export feature, but there is an RSS feed, you can get your blog. It's a standard RSS feed, you can import that into an external site.
