• Session 0 (zero) and public pages

  Hi gurus of the APEX.
  
  I have some difficulties with public pages and the session 0, in combination with tabs.
  The problem occurs when I click on some of my tabs. For some reason any session 0 is replaced by the id of the session itself. This only happens for some tabs. When I go back to the previous tab, session 0 I I return the URL...
  
  I tried to reproduce this problem in a new application, but I am not able to reproduse this behavior :(
  
  I use APEX version 3.2.1.00.12 and I use only one level of tabs.
  
  Can anyone give me a tip or an idea how I can debug this problem?

  you need to 'engineer' a little your tabs and pages:

  <a href="f?p=APP_ALIAS:#TAB_NAME#:0" class="current" title="#TAB_LABEL#" #TAB_INLINE_EDIT#>#TAB_LABEL#</a>
  

  Tab names must match alias of page otherwise it will not work.

  I developed a public page where I want the list of items from a view. It must be a classic report because of the template I want to use later.

  Open the page that wants to set as your home page,

  Click on more action-> set as start page

  

  Now visit the site again, it should be good.

  I have a region of the page that is based on pl/sql. This region is actually the recovery picture stored in the table as a BLOB.

• public page is not available to the public - access instead of the error.

  I have a work request. actually, I have the same copy of the work plan WITH SSO application and the other using the scheme of authentication and authorization of apex. Both work very well. With the exception of the logout page. I create a page(#62), without tab. Just a simple HTML form that has a disconnect message. I do the authentication of the page the value "Page is public" and save. I did this (try to diag) in two of these applications and in 2 different installations of the apex.
  
  However, when I'm not connected in the app, and I'm on this page, I get an "error: access denied by Application security control" message.
  
  I'm just trying to go to the URL http://xxxxxxx:8090/apex/f direct? p = 110:62:0:, or just http://xxxxxxx:8090/apex/f? p = 110:62 (page 62 is the page I created and defined as public.)
  
  It is in the apex 4.1.1. I think it should be very obvious as to why it does not, however, I'm puzzled.

  Hey 12602240 - the problem I think you touch is not at the level of the page but on your level of app. If you go to the properties of the application, it seems that you have a system of authorisation required at the level of the app. If the page you are trying to do is after they log out, you may need to allow ANYONE to access your application to get the public pages (or take off clearance at the level of the app).

  I guess the PUBLIC mode is necessary to distribute FREE mode.

  Are you already a DPS customer? You will not see the option to publish a folio audience until you have access to the DPS. Ask your administrator to add your email ID as a delegated user and assign the application role to your ID so you can publish as public folios.

  I created an authentication scheme that is customized in my app that works very well (when I navigate to the login page and submit my login and my password, I can see a text "Welcome TDUIN (logout)" at the top right of a page). When I navigate to a page public when not connected to this place there is a text "logout". Is it possible to change this to a text "identifier" on a public page available with a link to the page of connection and then, being connected, it says 'Welcome TDUIN (logout)'?
  
  I tried searching how do on the forum, but couldn't find how do. Can someone help me? I'm on 4.0.2 Apex.

  The "Logout" link, you mentioned is usually a navigation bar entry.

  You will find all entries in the Navigation bar to "* components shared-> entries * Navigation bar.

• Inorder to get what you asked for, you can condition the entry of the navigation bar to "Disconnect", choose "* the user is authenticated *" option for that.
  
• Create a new Navigation entry (or copy the entry Logout and edit the new it) with a label "Login" and leave the point of URL link to the Login Page. Subordinate this entry too with option as ' * user is the user Public. " Then one of these entries appear at the same time as the terms are mutually exclusive.

  Hope that was clear enough.

  I created a page (APEX 3.0) where I have two field, name/wwid, name is a LOV, when I choose the LOV NAME, the page is automatically populated with wwid field, I followed this thread (used AJAX...) and it works fine as LONG AS I'm not the public page, but when I make it PUBLIC, it no longer works, the field wwid always returns null it

  Of course

  In your javascript, you have something like this:

  get var = new htmldb_Get(null,&APP_ID.,'APPLICATION_PROCESS=getDet',0);

  The value 0 is the page number. You can edit your public page, and then it would be pointless to have a public page 0.

  Try and tell me if it worked.

  In the page attributes under the Securityheading, set page authentication Page is Public.

• Problem of sorting for the report public pages

  Recently, I ve met a strange behavior with a standard sql, in a page (unauthenticated) report "public":
  When a sorted user report on one of the columns, all other users got their report sorted on this column even.
  
  I have reproduced this situation several times (including the http://apex.oracle.com):
  
  1 to the sample application to create a new blank page without tab.
  2. edit this page and add a sql report region, using the "standard" model
  For this purpose, a query that returns the columns 3 or 4 of the customer table will be enough.
  Make sure that the sorting is available on several columns.
  3. edit the properties page and in the section security value "Authentication" "Page is Public" and run the page.
  4. on another browser go directly to the page.
  5. back on the browser where you were 'edition' click on one of the columns to sort.
  6 refresh the second browser and the sorting is now the same as in the first.

• is it possible to have a public page with optional authentication?

  I want to have an application that will advise users to access all the pages, without the user having to connect. On its own, I know how to do this. However, I also want to give the user the ability to perform specific actions, if they authenticate themselves. The feature I'm after is very similar to this forum, the public can read all discussions, but to post you need to connect.
  
  This kind of thing is possible in the APEX, if so, how can this be?

  It is quite possible and very easy to do.

  One of the conditions as the APEX supplies is "the user is authenticated (not public). You can use this condition on the buttons, the elements, the regions and the process which will require a user to be authenticated to your application. There is also the opposite condition, if you want to display items or areas that will be displayed to unauthenticated users.

• Photo would not publish it on the Web page

  New to dreamweaver. Added a poem and a picture to the existing web page. Appeared in design, alive and overview of web browser. Photo comes with an x on my website. I tried different jpeg, size, etc. renamed. Same result. What I am doing wrong?

• Flex publish / subscribe does not public IP address

  I installed the last Flex Express LCD on top of ColdFusion 8 enterprise demo installed as JRUN/multiserver and got it all to work when you run directly from the server using the "' http://127.0.0.1:8300 / samples". " However, when I run outside with public IP address of the server, then everything works except for samples of publsh/membership push. They just hang and impossible to subscribe. Any ideas? What is a restriction on the LSCDS Express or the CF8 demo version? Or maybe a port problem? We have all ports closed except for those needed. There is an additional port that is to be opened in addition to 8300? Thanks for any help.

  I think I found the problem. It seems you must have port 2037 open for RTMP to work e-mail with sample apps. This port is closed on our firewall and I suspect that's why I'm having a problem. I'll get my network guy to make the change on Monday and then I'll try it again. Probably that it will solve.
