But how can I install only for specified devices? For example: my request for 4.2 devices and user have 4.1 device. If the user installs my request, it will not work... ((How is it possible to avoid this situation?

The ALX file only works to distribute an application from a computer...

    Hello Dave

I fear that some router configurations will not. I recommend you contact your ISP and verify with them all the settings of the router.

The same problem was one of my friends. There must be something wrong with the settings of the router.

  • Firefox blocks window to download wireless tether with Android

Download Firefox freezes Windows, not good. Here's the situation: I open Firefox, go to a web page that wants me to download a file (as a PDF file, but it does not matter), download the file and BOOM, windows freezes COMPLETELY. The mouse is frozen on the screen, not ctrl-alt-delete, not nothing. I still have the image of the screen, but it froze HARD. My only option is a long wait on the power button. Also, this happens on Gmail attachment downloads, exact same symptoms. (As a note, I'm really open up the files, such as PDFs in the browser.) I have download and possibly open with proper application, on everything. This deadlock occurs regardless if I have just download or upload to temp and open.)

I did a LOT of tests, and this only happens when I am attached to my Droid through "Wireless Tether" which is an ad - hoc connection. Everything works fine if it's a regular wifi connection or a connection through an ethernet cable. In addition, I don't have this problem with Chrome, is strictly a Firefox/Droid combination of attachment problem. I am running version 12 of Firefox. I disabled (set to False) the browser.download.manager.scanWhenDone in Firefox option. I also disabled my analysis of files in Windows Defender. Absolutely, I know that I have no other running virus software, and I keep VERY close tabs on all my applications to start (both in files and registry), and I am VERY sure that I don't have a virus.

It is an easily reproducible problem for me, and it is not a good thing. I ardently Firefox, but I travel a lot and often use my Droid as a strap to access internet, I do right now. All other times (and everything else in Firefox) works absolutely fine with the tie strap, that I have a central computer (I7, 8 GB, and graphics ATI 5870). Whenever I have a problem, I hit out there, but this one is VERY serious.

I dearly love Firefox and don't want to switch to Chrome, but it is serious enough that he told me he plans. Any advice or a quick fix would be highly appreciated.

When this happens, the droid shows something unusual? It indicates whether the file is actually downloaded or download is frozen (not sure if there is an application that shows only)? I guess that you attempted to escape Frost by pulling the USB cable, but if not, you could try that.

Are you using Firefox native download or Download Manager add-on? If you have an add-on, I assume you have tested without it, but if you haven't, please give that a try.

You can also try the Mode without failure of Firefox to see if your modules or custom settings might be the culprit.

First of all, I recommend you backup your Firefox settings in case something goes wrong. See your backup information. (You can copy your profile folder Firefox together somewhere outside the Mozilla folder).

Then restart Firefox in Safe Mode to help

Help > restart with disabled modules

In the Safe Mode dialog box, do not check the boxes, just click "continue mode without failure."

I realize that this test is potentially very bad news (lock-up), but... I don't know any other way to determine if that helps you.

    OfficeJet 6480.

I took 20 minutes on the phone to find someone to get me to tell them what the problem is.

Finally, I asked if I could please tell him what my problem.

He said yes and asked if f I have the black cord that comes with it.

I said 'yes' and he pulled the plug (1 line) on the 6480.

    He hung up on me!

in any case, I wasn't going to go through the introduction of 20 min. again, only to find out if he could answer the question.

Here is the document on the implementation for different kinds of digital lines (think VOIP is not listed) that could work however, the fax modules used in probably all HP AIO are for analogue telephone lines only (the kind of Ma Bell telephone lines that have nothing to do with computers).  So, you could be just out of luck unless you want to pay for another standard analog line in your home for the fax.  Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but makes no sense you need to beat your head in frustration on something that is not likely to ever work.  Oh and another thing - make absolutely sure that the telephone line is connected to the fax to send/receive is the one supplied with the printer, they are not your average phone cords that come with phones or you can pick up at the local super store.

  • a6755y: a6755y wired and wireless network hard

I already spoke with my ISP nothing helps technical support.

I recently created my desktop computer again after having been stored for several months. Before I put it there, I was using wireless internet and local wireline connections regularly and without problem, and now I can not access to either. I have a strong connection with the modem/router device, so I thought that the issue could be in how its configuration or interpret the connection from my computer, but nothing, I have discovered has indicated that this was the case, and convenience store customer support my ISP did not find anything abnormal. I was now more confused when I discovered that it also fails to connect to another computer using a direct wired connection, even though I had in the past linked their and transfer large files regularly. I would like to assume that these issues are linked, to make the simplest solution; but as one involves a separate network adapter, and the other connects directly to the motherboard, I don't think that's likely.

For any help or suggestion would be appreciated.

  • Filtering addresses MAC wireless network configuration error

    Hello

I got my printer (Deskjet 3510) some time ago and set up no problem for wireless printing. Yesterday, all of a sudden, it stopped connecting to the network. I have reset the wireless settings and ran the CD to re-establish the link. Now, when I get to all wireless to the top of the page it says «Filter error WiFi - hardware MAC address has been filtered out and do not < SSID >...» »

I checked my router settings 2-wire AT & T (U-Verse) and address filtering MAC is not enabled. I did a scan and he picked up a bunch of MAC address and put them in the "Authorized" zone Is the MAC address of the printer. I tried enabling MAC address filtering, and it still does not connect. If at the moment I have the printer working via USB, MAC address filtering on the router go out but I still get the error. I have not changed the position of the printer or router as he worked. Not aware of any update of applied software.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The Mac address filtering error is one that is given for a multitude of errors, it is not very useful in this way.

On the front of the printer, press the wireless button and go wireless by default.  Restart your router by pulling its plug momentarily, and then try again

  • WIFI disabled in HP Wireless Assistant

Hi all, I have a HP HDX18 laptop 1013tx, and everything was working fine until a few days ago.

After a complete restore of the system using the recovery partition, the HP Wireless Assistant has opened for the first time and said that the WIFI network has been disabled. Pressing the wireless button on the mobile turn Bluetooth on and outside, but the WLAN is stuck on disabled people. I tried reinstalling the drivers wireless Assistant HP, but it did not work. I even tried to physically pull out the card and replace it.

The only information I have is that the Wireless Assistant says that the WIFI network is disabled in the computer configuration utility which I guess is the BIOS that access you by pressing F10 at startup. The problem is that there is nothing in the BIOS that has nothing to do with disable it or activate the WLAN.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

OK, well, I've managed to solve my problem. After arriving to the conclusion that something was blocking the wireless to start, I rebooted my laptop in SafeMode with network. And that is, the wireless worked in safe mode. I just rebooted in windows, and the wireless remained on and functional. I hope this will help others who have the same problem.

  • RALink RT5390 wireless adapter does not work

My g6 pavilion laptop wifi adapter was not properly work recently. my internet router and networking are works well as it should, but whenever I restart my laptop, repeat me that there is no link and no other wifi networks when there are clearly other networks because of my neighbors.

I tried a system restore to solve the problem, but it has no effect and my norton affects the restoration of the system to disable the antivirus.

I'm stuck on ideas to solve this problem and I don't know much about networking and internet stuff, so I'm pretty powerless here

Here is a link to my features of laptops if necessary:

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c03136241

These ralink adapters are simple ol ' sh * t. I don't know if it will be a complete solution for you, but I was pulling with my network card for months and this has proved to be the most effective for my computer. I have a HP Envy luck to be equipped with a Ralink RT3290, Windows 8.

    so...

Out of the box, my computer was working fine and it connected to the network OK. As soon as I moved further away from the router, I known constant dropouts, and the connection always folds between the low signal strength, to completely disconnect the router, where I had to re - connect manually there. This question really frustrating. I use my computer on the top level of my house, and the router is in the basement. If I was getting sick of this fast. Update driver after update driver, no luck. After trying everything under the Sun, I decided I would bite the bullet and I tried something a little bit Orthodox...

I just uninstalled the driver for my computer. Yes, really. When a component on your computer a driver is stripped, Windows software has a few drivers that will install by default for your material so that it can remain functional on your computer. So, once remove the driver ralink on my computer, windows installed sound driver by default for my network card and... Voila! My connection problems are virtually non-existent at this point. The material is not always the best, but at least I can surf the net in my room without my connection affected by constant stalling.

Now, other that the light on the button stuck wireless with an orange glow and list my NIC as #10 Device Manager, I always use this driver with minimum questions. Occasionally, he'll forget the connection once I wake the laptop from sleep, but this issue has been much worse with the ralink drivers than without.

If you are aware of the risk (what is low, to be realistic, this can always be undone and you can always reinstall drivers ralink so that deosn proved to be an effective solution), I will explain in detail how I managed to do.

    (1) open Device Manager (right click the lower left corner in windows 8 and a shortcut appears in the drop-down below)

    (2) find network adapters and display its contents

    (3) make a right click on your wireless network adapter (should be something similar to "Ralink RT5390 802.11b/g/n... ") and click on"Uninstall"in the menu drop-down

    (4) a popup should appear and you should be given the possibility to uninstall or cancel it. Make sure you check "suppression software driver for this device" until you go forward, or Windows re - install the ralink driver.

-Search for new hardware if your network card is not detected after you have uninstalled it. Your card should appear as "802.11n Wireless LAN card"

-If you have an installer driver ralink that is newer or equal to the driver that is already installed, you can run the Setup program to remove any driver software remains which is usually overlooked by the device during the uninstallation Manager there from your computer

-As an option, you can check potential driver leftover files C:\Windows\System32\Drivers. It is important to search for remains that Device Manager / ralink Installer may have missed because it can potentially conflict with the replacement of windows WLAN driver. pilots should have a short name for your adapter (e.g. rt3298.sys); they shouldn't be hard to find. Be careful as well; IT IS WISE TO ALWAYS SAVE no matter WHAT DRIVER SOFTWARE, YOU CAN REMOVE in CASE YOU MAKE a MISTAKE.

    (5) re - enter your information network and you should be good to go!

I hope that it is of no help to you. People who know nothing about what they will tell you to install the latest driver and yatta yatta yatta this way, because it does not work I had to take the liberty to try to find a solution for these adapters cursed myself. I hope this helps a bit your question!

  • Intel dual band wireless-ac 7260 Compatability

I just bought a new HP Pavilion and want to upgrade the wireless LAN card. It of a great PC and has an i7 Intel Core 4 Gen and so far works fine when connected to my LAN via Cat6. I'm having issues pulling large CAD files and in looking over the repair, the only option listed for a duel card band is an old N Intel 3160 (1 X 1), from 2013. I contacted Intel and was informed that the card should work, but that HP tends to Whitelist BIOS here to prevent customers of workstations being upgraded there. The question that I have is the the 7260 Intel does not appear in my service manual, BUT is currently available for download driver on the support listed as a driver Intel 7260/3160 site. Anyone know if this product is in the white list on the BIOS? I have listed the part I'll order below for reference.

    INTEL DUAL BAND WIRELESS AC 7260 - (NETWORK CARD 2 X 2

HALF OF MINI - PCI EXPRESS CARD

    802. 11B, 802. 11A, 802. 11 G, 802.11N,
    802.11AC, BLUETOOTH 4.0

    Model number 7260.HMWWB. R

    TigerDirect part number: IE2-102594433

    List price $29.99

As you can see the value of spending $29.99 and the return on investment of this offer that it is obvious, from the 'stocks' Realtek Wireless Card that comes standard on this computer.

Would also like to point out that this computer was only $479.99 at Best Buy and came with and i7 4Gen and was too good to pass up.  No idea why HP would be but as lower wifi card in the same workstation with an i7.

Thanks in advance for taking the time to read this post and I can't wait to read your response.

    Hello:

Several posts, I read on the forum that you should have no problem installing any wireless card you want in your laptop, as it appears that HP has done away the white list of wireless cards BIOS.

Here is the link to the service manual for your laptop.

Info upgrade memory are in Chapter 1.

    http://h10025.www1.HP.com/ewfrf/wc/manualCategory?cc=us & dlc = in & lc = in & product = 7582630 &

Now, I have bad news for you...

You will cancel the warranty if you install a wireless card or memory yourself.

Unfortunately, you have to pretty much disassemble the laptop everything to the hard drive, memory, and the wireless card.  You can refer to chapters 5 and 6 of the repair for the removal and replacement procedures.

    Hello

Have been pulling my hair out for 10 days! Bought my phone last Monday. Wireless guard disabling works on starting for up to 30 minutes and then packs in. Other devices (phone, old phone) workfine, so don't think it's the router (I have re-set the router more than once). Internet works fine when the ethernet cable is plugged. Adapter WiFi (Intel R Dual Band Wireless AC 3165) is disabled in the network and sharing Center and cannot be re-activated, unless the computer is restarted. Have used the feature of HP Support Assistant and Windows troubleshooting troubleshooting too! I tried most of the suggestions on this site (including resetting the router, etc system restore) and none have worked. Any help will be much appreciated. Please note, even though I have some knowledge of basic, I'm no expert so would like easy to follow the instuctions.

    Thank you in advance

    Hello:

The only suggestion I can offer would be to try the latest driver for the card wirelessly directly from Intel and see if that solves the problem.  The new version is on 9 November and is probably more recent than the installed HP.

The second pilot on the page is for W10 64 bit.

    Hi there @barcode47,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support! It's a good place to find the help you need, other users, the HP experts and other members of the support staff. I understand that you are looking for a spare antenna for your wireless card. I'm happy to help you with this.

In response to your question, if the connection of the antenna is the same, it should work, although there may be exceptions. Ideally, you want the type of antenna, to avoid problems, as there are a several different types out there.

You can try to use the HP parts store and see what is available. You can also try to contact support. For this option, use the following http://www.hp.com/contacthp and create a folder for your question and contact HP. If you do not live in the United States / Canada, please click on the link below to get contact information for your region. http://WWW8.HP.com/us/en/contact-HP/WW-phone-assist.html

Another option is to check for the specific card, you have installed and search online of accessories or spare parts.

I took delivery on a DV7T yesterday.  It is configured with the minimap Intel 5100 AGN & Vista 32 Home premium (my first Vista machine).  I had updated my wireless router home in anticipation of his arrival, installation of a model of D - Link DIR-655 (Vista friendly 802.11n capable).  The router plays well with my existing XP laptop and has been configured for WPA2 AES & compatibility b/g/n.

I configured the appropriate connection parameters and launched a manual connection.  I made changes to the router so the SSID was visible and defined the DV7T for automatic connection, but it took often more a minute before the DV7T would see even the network wireless and even a minute or two before reporting the signal strength. Each time, connection attempts failed, reports of a lack of response from the router.  After the double check (and returning) settings and password several times (and the audit by doing the same thing on another laptop which connected very well) I finally decided there was a problem and called for help.  Given that the order had been placed through Costco, I went through their Concierge as a first level service. Their script for was power off all computers (XP) on the network saying that a common problem was having a Vista machine join a network with XP already connected machines. No joy. Same lack of goodness after removing/reinstalling the drivers. It was as much as the script went to attempts at original resolution.

At this point, no resolution & I plan just to return the machine for a refund (lack of wireless really it would damage the intended use). Propelled upwards all the equipment I had turned off.  Bored of not knowing for sure if it was an inherent incompatibility or a hardware problem (the day of delivery!)  I ended up out and pick up an express format card card N Wireless of Linksys.   Responsible drivers, plugged in the card and voila! immediately, the machine connects using the configuration of the connection that I had entered previously.  On top of that, the flow of data showed that 240-270 mbits.

With this info, I went back to service, initially to the connection of Costco and then discussed in HP support. After a 3 hour marathon call, HP sends a replacement 5100AGN card to 'see if this fixes things', if it is not, the machine must go back to the service (as a problem of antennas would not be repairable client). Part of the duration of a call has been associated with finding the right part for a machine CTO.  The wireless card on my machine something SN (Broadcom) was set apart from the 5100 (although the list mentioned packing a minimap Intel next gen and the Manager device reports an Intel 5100AGN).  They have finally found a suitable part number (I hope).

I just thought I would pass this along in case where someone else found themselves in a similar situation.  I'll post much after that the replacement property is displayed. As a side note, the Linksys N Ultra Rangeplus expresscard works really well as a replacement. Of course I'd rather not have something projecting from the side, but it certainly did the job.

    EDITION - ADDENDUM

After the above post, I couldn't help but think that a problem of antennas sounded very probably - maybe a lead broken/disconnected (something I mentioned to the technology of the telephone service).  In any case, just a minute before, I went ahead and pulled the bottom panel, so I could take a look at the wireless card.  Technology said there would be two tracks running to the card - only was connected, the other has fallen in a crack between the card and the frame.  The wire not connected has been labeled "main" and there is a connector on the "main" labelled map  The two sons had been celo-glued to the card (in the broad sense), but I had the disconnected an oriented properly & pressed into the connector on the card.  He buttoned & turned on the machine.  He immediately finds the wireless network and connection has been made in a few seconds.

My only ongoing question may turn out to be wireless performance.  Connection with the linksys card speeds were always above 200 (230-270).  Speeds, I see on the bed in so far have been initially lower than 100, with the best after being 150 mbits.  Any suggestions for how this can be improved?  Will the adapter 'learn' alone and get better over time?

    FINAL ADDENDUM-

Model found on another forum that the 5100AGN has apparently a maximum 150 Mbps on a 300 Mbps max for RX & TX... the 5300AGN is 300 in both directions.

This suggests that the 150 that I see is as good as it gets for my integrated card. Apparently, the Linksys expresscard I used is good for TX/RX 300.

I don't know that the costco guys worked just for the trouble shooting script, he gave.  On the plus side, he had an understanding of the issues, & spoke vernacular American English (and not in a call center offshore).  He was ready to continue, but I needed a time out.  The second call (after me obtain Linksys for comparison) was good enough and the technology was very ready he climbs to a technician of HP (once again, the continent - not off shore), which was certainly ready to order a replacement part, but crossed a few last checks more that the internal card could not be implemented. The part was sentenced & will be shipped without requiring a deposit of me. The only negative for telephone exchanges, it's neither opening proposed leads the lower panel to check the antennas have been connected correctly.

As stated in the original post - edited-, the final fix was to open the Panel & visually notice that a 'primary' marked lead was not connected to the wireless card.  Attaching which lead to the consequence named connector on the Board eliminated the problem.   The disparity of the connection speeds between the internal 5100AGN and the Linksys 802.11n expresscard was due to the limitations of card design (150TX/300RX 5100AGN and 300 TX/RX for the Linksys), so the 150 Mbps I see currently for internally is as good it will become.  I'll probably send the rear replacement not opened as opposed to actually Exchange cards. (I don't think that the shipment may be shortstopped at this point...).
