Push browser in BES 10

I use BES 10 and you want to use the mechanism to push browser. I used this code for BES 5 where 7874 is port for listening e-mail push device browser. What should I do to use all pushing in BES 10 of e-mail? And what port should I use?

PORT=7874&REQUESTURI=/

Push browser and other types of special push, push and push message channel browser are not supported by BES10 and BlackBerry 10 devices. You can replace this with an app that has received normal growth and published a notice to the user.

  • Pushing without BIS/BES

    Hi all

    I am a prospective developer Blackberry works on my first BB app.

    The application will receive the data of a service push third push as Xtify or urban airship. If possible, I would like to make it work on Webworks. I am little confused as to how all this works and my research has not really clarified anything, so I have a few questions:

    (1) what are the Blackberry services I send the push? For example, when registering for the app, urban airship and Xtify apparently must push it Essentials package. Do I need anything else? Push services deal with RIM?

    (2) is a specific Blackberry data plan (I guess they are BIS and BES) will perform the push works on 3 G? Besides, is 3G on Blackberry through BIS, or is it independent of it?

    (3) Will accept a Webworks app even pushes a third? Xtify nor urban airship say anything about working with Phonegap or Webworks. Two examples for urban airship and Xtify are for Blackberry Java and seem to require registration with the urban airship or Xtify application. The Webworks API has a method OpenPushListener(); is this all I need to start receiving leads them to my application?

    Comments are welcome - thanks for your help!

    Hello

    Let's start by discussing a little further: at its core is to push a XML load sent to the infrastructure of the RIM which is then sent down to the target BlackBerry smartphone. The transport of the unit is completely managed by the infrastructure of the RIM, so all you need to do is send the push.

    No matter what language/service that can display XML data can send pulses

    In order to receive the push, the device must have a BIS data connection

    WebWorks applications can receive extensive data, the API documentation has information about how this can be done.

    I hope things clears a bit, but if not just let me know.

    See you soon,.

  • Can we push through the BES/MDS to a server outside the company application?

    Hi, we are developing a cloud-based management platform web mobile device for businesses. If the push initiator server would be located on our enterprise network or data centers, and it will not be inside the company of any particular network. In this case, our server in the cloud could still push the unit to a company through their Server BES/MDS?  I guess that the SDM cannot be accessed from outside the company, but somehow I could not a confirmation of research.

    Could someone with experiments to confirm?

    I don't think that this is possible. The BES is the internal network that secures the way BlackBerry.

  • Questions about registered sites

    Nice day

    When we record a Web site; cnn.com said, its icon will be saved in the home screen.

    When you run it, it automatically opens the website in the blackberry browser.

    On the issues:

    1. is it possible to run a different application of this shortcut? Say, open it with opera browser?

    2 if it's possible, it's possible by programming?

    3 is there some API to use in this situation? (IE registry filter http, chap, push registry?)

    You can not save the website (URL) on the home screen. You push an icon to the home screen of the site by using Push (push browser channel BES or BIS push using Web signals) or you can download icon of Web of a site that launches the site when you open it.

    There is no way to have one of these options to launch Opera. The signal of channel or web browser opens in the appropriate blackbery browser and the Web icon will do the same.

    The only way to do is write your own Java application and in launch Opera. I don't know how you would spend the URL to open in opera (haven't tried) and I do not know if future versions of Opera browser would break your request (by changing the identifier that is used to launch the app).

  • Details of issue for the browser push

    I would like to send push requests to my users to refresh their page or notify them to do a refresh.  Should what type of button I use?  How push notifications behave if the user is currently in the web page?

    Internal (BES) or external (BIS)?  Since it is the browser, you do not want to use a channel of the browser for BES users or a signal of web for BIS users.

    Nothing special happen if the user is already on the page. Push all would do them is to warn that there is a new page, not to refresh the current page in the browser.

    You could push a Java application and launch the browser when new content is available, but it would be boring if the user was in something else at the time.

  • How to make the push notification as APN (notification of transmission of apple) with Blackberry API

    Hi all

    I want to know how to get push notification as we APN. I found a demo in the code example of RIM named "httppushdemo" with the server and client code.

    It works this way,

    My custom server (java servlet) push a few data for some static ip (on MDS with given port), on my desk and the BB device receive the MDS data, where my blackberry MDS Simulator is on. So in this case I got direct push notification when the application is activated.

    Flow for Simulator is so as:

    Server customized---> MDS (with specific ipadrees / port)<-------------- >

    (do)                                                              (receive the push)

    But my question is that, in the event of a real device, I have MDS to push the text to the specific ip address.  I have MDS in my device itself. So from where custom server I need to push the text?

    Direct to device? if yes then please tell me where I can change my bb device ip address. ?

    Thanks in advance,

    Tejas

    The AFN is similar to the notion of PPG in BlackBarry who is world BES MDS or Service of Push BlackBerry World BIS. Http you post your button to one of the PPG and it routes the message to the device for you.

    Keep in mind when you push user push BIS and BES that push you to the device with address e-mail or a PIN that you can push only per SPINDLE.

  • Use of id id push and BB10 payload?

    I'm relatively new to push stuff so this may be covered elsewhere. I can't find anything by searching in the forums.

    When you push send, the PAP contains a push-id attribute. This seems to be an arbitrary string that I can specify.

    When you receive a helping hand, the PushPayload has an id() which is a string, also described as "Returns the identifier push.". It seems it can be defined by the system and not related to what whatsoever in the offensive itself and so far seems to have the value "_".

    Is there a relationship between these?

    What is the purpose of the attribute id push?  I do shoot 'open loop' through BIS with the Push of basic service (no further), so my assumption is if I were using more or send Push through BES10 it would be a symbol that is useful to query the status of the push.

    What is the purpose of the id property of PushPayload, and whether it was true that the docs say it returns the identifier of 'push', then what is the identifier to push and there at - it unconnected with the id push above property?

    Thanks for any comments you may have.

    Hi Peter,.

    What you think makes sense however, after receiving a history lesson on the whole situation, I found that it is essentially a bug. Really the push-id value must get past and power be read from the field PushPayload #id however the Push server don't currently even past this value down to the client. The push-id is useful today if you push through a BES or push more to query the status of a sudden thumb or cancelling a helping hand.

    The field read you of PushPayload #id is actually automatically generated on the client if no ID push is received, which explains why he has no resemblance with... something useful.

    There is a solution! You can add this header to the payload section to push your server 'Push-Message-ID' Push, giving your payload with a structure like:

    -asdfglkjhqwert
    Content-Type: text/plain
    Push-Message-ID:

    -asdfglkjhqwert-

    I tried this out and it works well, gives the expected client-side value.

  • RIM Push Notifications - connection limit

    Hello

    I send the rim push push through my BES BlackBerry.

    I received notifcation to another server. This server another wait notification.

    It works well, but it stops to work every day.

    The BES stops to send notifications to the other server. (even if the push message has been successfully delivered).

    I think that there is a connection limit or something like that.

    You have an idea?

    Looks like I'm wrong, we do not see a response from the device:

    <2011-01-28 10:35:36.095 CET>:[45819]:::

    But logging still does not show an attempt to notify the server and yet some information is missing. Could you please allow both verbose and logging HTTP? Also please let me know:

    -What size of shoot you send

    -The frequency that they are sent

    -Are there many instances of MDS - CS in your environment?

    -Try to push to another user, after that this problem occurs, you receive a response?

    -You send all right pushing every time during this test?

  • Starting a Session of browser for Storm 2 Simulator

    Hello world

    I am currently launches a browser Session of my application with the following code:

    BrowserSession visit;

    visit = Browser.getDefaultSession();
    visit.displayPage(loginUrl);

    For all devices of 4.7 and 5.0 devices (with the exception of the Storm 2), the browser will properly solve the given URL. I use the Simulator, incidentally.

    With the Storm 2, I got the following error after waiting a minute or two for the page to resolve:

    "Unable to find the requested server"

    Anyone know why this is happening?

    Thank you!

    Thanks for your help, your message triggered me to realize that you can open a browser with a specified connection (say, BES). I didn't know this before.
