Put an end to a windows application

Hi all

I am new to programming in Labview. Now, I'm working on a program to end a windows using LabView application. I tried to call the API such as TerminateProcess() win32 function, but this command requires pre-defined structures in other header files. However, I do not know how to import other files via the node call library feature.

Someone will be willing to give me some suggestions?

Thank you very much!

Hey Lxm.

After watching you post and try with the win32 dll, I found that it was much easier to use .NET to do the job. I was able to create an example of use of the System.Diagnostics.Process. From here, I questioned the available process using the GetProcesses method. Now that I got all references to processes that were running, I converted the references to their real names by using the ProcessName property. With this information, you can search the table for the process you are looking for (I get firefox) then killed the process (Kill was the method).

I've included a snippet of code below. I've also posted this code for example on our website.

    After downloading and installing the latest graphics driver for lenovo support pages (10.18.10.3643) I noticed that some graphics in Windows applications are distorted. Generally, it looks like a refresh or memory problem. If you start the application that everything is OK and after using it awhile (or switch to another app and back)

    For example, Onenote radial menu looks like this:

    Where is should look like this:

    Over time, it could get worse, as the entire application has problems how to freshen up, or this menu does not lose only icons, but also the colors, etc..

    If your computer is restarted when the BSOD appears, then you must change the by default for what to do in case of system error. It is easy to do, but takes a lot of mouse clicks to get there:

    Start | Control Panel | System | Advanced system settings (need for credentials for the administrator to spend here |) Advanced | Startup and recovery / settings.

    On this screen, uncheck the box under system failure that says automatically restart. The next time the BSOD appears, your computer will not do anything else until you press the reset button, so you'll have all the time you need to read and copy the error codes. Paste here, verbatim, and someone should be able to point in the right direction.

    ``````~~~~`````
    In the control panel choose reports on problems and Solutions (problem of type in the START search box), go to historical problem, right-click your error and choose check for the Solution. You can also examine the details.
    In administrative tools, choose the reliability and performance monitor and click on MonitoringTools then the reliability monitor (type reliability in research on Start).   • Cannot put an end to the programs
    Whenever a program crashes on my computer, and I try to put an end to this program, I can't do it.  It's as if the pane "end of program" also blocks.  So, I have to turn off the machine.  Anyone know what I can do?
    Instead of finding ways to put an end to the program when your computer crashes, I recommend you to understand why your computer is locking up and fix it in place.
    If turn you your machine (I guess than the power button), you will soon have a new post that looks like this:
    My system does not boot and I see a message like this:
    Windows XP could not start because the following file is missing or corrupt: \WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\CONFIG\SYSTEM
    Then someone will offer to you try to repair your system with KB307545 and which will not help you either.
    XP has a built-in mechanism that is designed only to help diagnose the locking systems, freeze or crash, and it is very useful.
    I suggest to use (that's what it is) after general troubleshooting basic steps are exhausted.
    You know - easy as questions... What is the program that is locked?
    I would also say everyone with blocking XP problems starting their own new topic so they can be worked separately, or this thread is going to be annoying quickly.
    Thankfully, I'm not a moderator (Fortunately, I don't have no control on the operation of this forum).
    Maybe someday the dialog box 'ask a question' forums XP will ask these questions automatically when a new thread is started so I don't have to ask every time.  It might even be possible to solve a problem in a single response when enough information is provided.
    Hi tootsie202,
    In addition to the suggestion of John John MVP, try the following and check:
    You can try the following methods and check to see if it helps:
    Method 1:
    Step 1:
    You can try to start in safe mode and check if the problem occurs.
    Check out the link for more information on starting your computer in SafeMode below:
    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/315222
    Step 2:
    If you can boot into safe mode without any problem, and then try to perform a clean boot.
    A clean boot to check if startup item or services to third-party application is causing this issue.
    You can read the following article to put the computer in a clean boot:
    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/310353
    If your problem is resolved after the clean boot, and then follow the steps mentioned in the article above to refine the exact source.
    After you have used the boot is a way to solve your problem, you can follow the steps to configure Windows XP to start normally.
    Method 2:
    Yes, you can do it. The minimum must be large enough to contain an image of the core. If the maximum is too small, you will get the unpleasant results.
    If you have your anti-virus value analyze them, disable the e-mail scanning.
    It is redundant and doesn't interfere with the transmission, especially with Windows
    Hello Rob Snow.
    Thank you for reaching out to the Community Support from Apple. I understand that you are trying to implement your active corners, and I'd love to help. You can customize what your active corners show by going to System Preferences > desktop and screensaver. Click the screen saver tab, and then click the corners at the bottom right. Here, you can select another function for each corner (or leave the field blank). To view all your open applications, you can select 'Mission Control' on any angle you like.
