Put saved audioboooks in sansa clip +.

First, I am very new to this, but I searched the knowledge base and my question is launched, but it's always a part of the solution, and I don't know how to do this.

I saved my audio books on my computer over the years.  These are Media Player files (assuming that the mp3), but they do not play on the ipod of my husband.  I have read and said that to get them on the clip I have of course the genre is an audiobook.  What does it mean?  I take these files and go to media player and click like, audiobook and can bring them into this folder.  (2 audio books from Audible is there.)

Yes, I can enter the books in Media Player and from there in the clip, but just like when we tried with the ipod, notebook files are scattered in the music files.   My goal is to get books in audiobook file in media player and on the clip.

Thank you

Open Windows Media Player (if that's what you use), go to the folder and select all the files. Right-click on the file group and choose Advanced Tag Editor. There is a field of type on the right. Audio books to type in there and save it.

The flags say the Clip + how to organize your files. (This is where you will have the Album, artist, etc.).  When he sees audio books in kind he separates them from other mp3 files. If she doesn't have audio books, he thinks they're music.

  • Power outage Sansa Clip

    Hello

I have a 2 GB Sansa Clip I bought about 4-5 years ago and have been very happy with it.

He runs the version of the 01.01.30A software.

However, recently and for no apparent reason suffering from power cuts.

It would just turn off, no matter how much battery there left, how long it has been running or what he does. And when we turn on (which is sometimes hard to do) he can't remember the last thing he was playing.

After further tests it seems to turn off when put under different angles, almost as if there is a piece on the inside that is open/close the connection. When shaking a slight ratteling inside there, but I can't be certain that's not making noise power switch.

Of course, this looks like a hardware problem.

So, how can I open it and fix it? Is there a diagram somewhere I can look at?

    Thank you

    Max

Well, I opened it and looked around in there.

True, the battery had detached from its adhesive strips and pulled the loose battery negative cable.

Gently, I took out the battery and was able to resolder the wire and test that it works before you all shut up.

My double-sided adhesive foam Strip seemed to be too thick, so I used a drop of silicone glue to prevent the battery from moving around.

All together again once, case snapped back and forth between them well.

A little notation around the seam is a small price to pay for a media player that fully operational once again.

    Thanks for all your suggestions!

  • Headphone Jack does not fit into my new Sansa Clip +.

    Hello

I just bought a new Sansa Clip + so I could listen to my songs while he's on vacation, but when I put in my profile 3.5 headphone jack into the hole on the side of the mp3 player, it will not thoroughly and grave if I don't hold him properly. That is how a Sansa Clip + is? because I found it very boring.

I hope someone can answer quickly because I'll be on vacation in a week about. And sorry for my English because it is not my mother tongue.

When the player is again taking is very tight and it takes a little force to get the plug completely.

  • Can not record songs on a Sansa Clip +.

I recently bought the Sansa Clip + and it has firmware version V01.01.05F and the song rate feature doesn't seem to work. I choose 1-5 stars and select the choice, but the note is not saved. Another poster asked a similar question and its solution involved affecting USB MTP mode, but this has not worked for me. Any suggestions?

    Thank you

OK I thought about it, the new firmware fixed this problem for me.

  • Organize the Audiobook on Sansa Clip +.

I'm relatively new to the Sansa Clip. I want to put an audio book on which has a set of 11 disks. I created a title on the drive under audio books. Now I want the title create 11, disk1, disk2, etc. subfolders, to copy the torn in each folder of s to do 11 playlists under the title. That doesn't seem to work. Is this not possible.

Then I thought about being smart and merged all tore up the files from one disk to do a big mp3 fle (60 + MB) and do this 11 times and copy them under the title and create a playlist. The player doesn't and hung. What gives? Any help wil be appreciated.

Well, this is what I discovered. Each record indicates that a separate under audio books book. So I changed the label of the album of each disc to the Heading1, Title2 etc and it works. Thank you all for your help. Very much appreciated.

  • Work of the trouble on Sansa Clip Zip

Hi - I have problems with the work on my Sansa Clip Zip.  Work does not show for each song.  For songs ripped in the Zune software will show the work.  However, for the ripped songs in iTunes does not show the work.  I tried to put .jpg files in the folders with the songs, make sure they are of size less than 100 KB and even tried to resize one at 200 x 200 pixels (though the size was too large of pizels overall size was fine).  Any ideas?  Thank you.

Use 'album art.jpg' (without the quotes and with space, not a line of underscore) or "folder.jpg" (again, without the quotes).

I'm not 100% sure, but I think .m4a files Apple 'protected '. The Zip will not play them. They would need to be converted to a type of file supported as .aac (Apple DRM-free format) or .mp3 (universal format).

You can use MP3Tag above (free to download) software to incorporate images of cover art in the "extended" part tag. Note that you need to do this for each (long) file rather than the image one (album art.jpg) for all files in the folder even the opposite effect.

  • Sansa Clip + problems, correct the records but unknown marking and scrambled the tracks. Help!

    Hi guys,.

There can someone please offer some advice for me and my husband before we became completely crazy?

We bought for our daughter the Sansa Clip +, but we are having the same problem occur over and over again.

During his music and audio books have first been loaded above all was fine. Added items displayed in the files and the right places but, now, for some reason when we add anything, the record of the album can be seen, but it also creates an additional folder that displayed as "Unknown". When you go and try to play inside this folder it does not work... "We always ensure that there is proper use of marking we MP" tag, so I know that the questions are not because of it.

We have tried everything we can think of. Tried to update but I think we already have the latest version installed in any case - V01.02.18P, performed a factory reset, put in shape and I have tried using different modes, but it makes no sense. Why everything fine was a couple of days and not now...

We use a 16 GB Kingston SDHC Card inside the Clip +.

Please any ideas would be welcome because it becomes a nightmare.

    Thanks Claire x

I should add that I am starting to think that I can have bought a card SD of FAKE writing is rubbing on the front of the card... IS this likely and if so could cause of the issues I am currently experiencing? XX

  • Sansa Clip + crashes

    Hello!

for some time, I have a 8 GB Sansa Clip + - and I've always been very happy and very pleased with it.

Yesterday I received news MP3-songs of a friend of mine (music of his group - so nothing illegal). Listened on my laptop - all right.

So I copied them on my clip, disconnected from the laptop, expected that the database has been updated to a new folder (void) and I wanted to hear new music. The time was the first time I tried, the Sansa logo came, and after a while the setting menu appeared. Then I tried another time, the screen starts to move in the list of music to the play screen (the one with the title of the music and the break...) but the clip got stuck. I can see now on the left half in part list in this folder and on the right half partially the game screen. And that's it: the clip is dead. I can rely on what I want, but nothing happens. I can connect to the laptop, but he doesn't realize the clip. The only thing I can do to wait ist until the battery is empty, and then the player is running again. But only with all the old music (and a few other new music I copied yesterday). As soon as I go to the new folder with music from my friend, I have the same chrash again.

So I deleted the folder. Make one folder somewhere else and copied the songs to there - same effect

So I used the Sansa updater - new firmware - same effect...

.. but as I said - the music on my laptop works perferctly. The only difference I've found (but I don't compared with some old songs) on the new bit of archive is not defined - but I can't test that now I have to wait until the battery is empty for access to my video again...

Updated - reset funtion works, makes it easier... on the clip, the bit of archive have been set for a reason - but still I put on the laptop and copied their new. No effect.

After the first error (where the logo appears and after awhile the settings menu) then I can see very short "update database" - I thought that the problem could be here - mtable.sys deleted, disconnected, database has been updated again - always the same s *.

Someone has an idea of what's going on here?

    see you soon,

    Luis

The ID3 tags on these new songs are either missing or f'd up.

  • Completely insensitive Sansa Clip

I just bought a Sansa Clip 8 gb yesterday, and today I finally had the time and access to put the music on it. I installed Windows Media Player 11, sync my music, made sure it was fully charged and decided to go out for a run. I listened to a song repeatedly (he played throughout many times so far) when it suddenly stopped playing mid-song after about forty minutes. The menu screen do not appear, key does not turn on and I can not reset regardless of how long I hold it in the "high" position. If I connect it to my computer, it is not read (nothing appears on my computer)... in one of the USB ports. It is not read on another Windows XP computer in the House, either. I tried to install the update for Sansa, but it will not install as the Clip isn't well of my computer. I tried to hold the power button for 20 seconds, locking and pressing the main select button while inserting the USB cable and nothing helped. Curiously, it is still running as far as I can tell because when you plug / unplug the headphones you can hear the "flying" static, you would do an audio device in use. I can't return or Exchange it at Wal-Mart because I left the front desk in another State, and I'd really prefer not to send to the manufacturer at my own expense given their promise to offer a «free of defects of design» product If someone could help me troubleshoot my way in a working mp3 player, I would really appreciate it. Thanks in advance.

I waited for Wal-Mart finish digging through their recipes to find the mine, and you know... after 60 hours of idleness, the Clip has decided to finally die. I could load after this and update the firmware. Should work fine now. I'll probably still pick up the receipt just in case.

  • Sansa Clip + connect to Volkswagen Golf Mk7

    Hi guys,.

I recently had a VW Golf 7 and I tried to connect my Sansa Clip + with it via USB.

    It work well.

The device is in MSC mode and Yes to THE works perfectly, but not what I want, I want to know if there is a way to make it work by USB.

In MTP mode, the device connects and 2 readers (internal + microsd) are visible, but I can't load anything on them, and finally, the display shows just "dysfunction." In MSC mode, it looks like he wants to connect to the Clip +, there is a message on the screen saying "connecting to device" or some thing like that and my Clip + says that it is connected and reading. Charge the battery via the USB port works perfectly. However, after a few minutes of this "connecting to device" message, nothing seems to happen and the Clip + is not recognized by the stereo.

    Any ideas?

    Thank you!

    EHR says:

I could do this, but then the Clip + is completely useless to me because he got only 8 GB of memory, almost all of my music is on the SD card.

So I guess I have to just get a micro SD to SD card and use it in my car instead. It's kindof a shame, but good

What's a shame? That's what I do. Why place wear & tear on your drive when if you load all your songs to an SD card and use a card reader to plug into the USB port on your car stereo, it will do the same. And you're not submit your player to extreme and/or cold, heat inevitable finished autonomy or eyes curious thieves potential when you park the car.

USB and SD (micro or full size) cards are very cheap. You could even buy a card, that copy you music to it and leave (as well as the card reader) in the car. In this way, you do not remove the card from your player all the time and having to wait for the updating of the database when you put it back in it.

  • SanDisk Sansa Clip + 4 GB MP3 player with FM Radio

    Hello-

My new sansa clip + out of the box and I'm not able to do Radio FM works.  Battery is charged.  All I get on screen is a set of headphones and the 'music '.  I do not expect to play music because I have not yet loaded, but I expect to be able to get FM radio but can't seem to get there.  Any suggestions on how I have to happen?  Thank you.

Please note that I do not see a menu of items to select from the MP3 player.  I do not see a "lock" or "unlock".

My computer recognizes the drive as a new piece of hardware.

The reader does not recognize the software on the CD when I put the CD in the computer.

The player does not allow me to make the software what I t hink is the "root directory" for the player.  I guess tha the directory "root" is the "Sansa Clip + 4 GB" or the "internal memory".  It allows me to copy in one of these.   Appears as:

    + The Sansa Clip + 4 GB

    -Internal memory

    + Albums

    + Audio books

    + Music

    + Playlists

    + Podcasts

    + Records

    + Service

My D drive that reads the CD has these files it contains:

Autorun.inf and sansa - install .exe and one other file that reads:

fscommand with these files it contains: dloadrhap.exe, dloadrhap.txt, proxy.bat, proxy.exe

If I do not have need of these, please let me know.  I don't want to stuff more then I need to run the player.

I'm assuming that I need only the files autorun.inf and the sansa - install .exe.

I do not understand what is Rhapsody or why I need.

    Thank you.

    Bonnie

Now, don't laugh at this suggestion, but: when you get the player, there is a transparent plastic sticker that was placed on the screen of the player, which has a screen simulation showing the items that describe you see on your screen - have - you, you take off the sticker? (It generally is a small tab on the right side of the tile to help with that.) Once you do this, the player I hope will begin to operate as expected. On the CD, you don't need at all! The CD is required to use the separate music Rhapsody and optional subscription service (for which you pay every month, after a free trial, usually). If you do not want the service, go to the CD. Finally, you should check and see if your drive is the latest firmware - look under settings to the player and to compare this version number firmware recent listed in the upgrade thread Firmnware sticky at the top of this forum. If the thread here has a more recent version of firrmware, recommended that you upgrade to it-, it is very easy to do. I hope this helps!

  • Sansa Clip is insensitive (malfunction)

To start things, I've owned a Sansa Clip 2 GB for about a month now, and I never had any problems with it until today... even if I'm to blame for causing its functioning. Is how he dropped it when I was trying to get some songs from my Mac sisters I wanted (my laptop is Vista, so suddenly I was not familiar with the change in systems), I don't a not eject the Sansa Clip correctly the USB. He ended up screwing up, and now I can't make it work because it tends to freeze when I turn it on (after holding the power button for 15 seconds or less). Does anyone have advice on how I can fix this, or to all least able to reset it so that it can work? By the way, thanks in advance.

Basically, you can run a check on it as if it were a generic drive (say a hard drive or a USB "key")

the exact command depends on you and the operating system, fsck, chkdsk or (for example xp) right-click on the sansa msc mode (should appear as a removable USB - say-), properties, tools, check now.

as an alternative, if you know that you can just re - put songs on the clip without having to purchase them again, simply reformat the drive, there is a specific menu settings entryunder.
